Connection Navigator - not found

Hi Oracle brats,
I have installed JDeveloper 10.1.3. There is no "Connection Navigator" and "Application Navigator" links under "View" menu item. How do I get them dispalyed?

Pls check what type of install you chose. Connection navigator/application navigator is not see in java edition, but in j2ee/studio editions.

Create a public synonym for a db link - "Connection desccriptor not found".

I want to create a public synonym for a db link.
The existing db link name is tst.world ( which is in db links table and is working fine).
I created the following db link using the following command:
create public synonym "syn.world" for "tst.world";
It created the synonym successfully.
If I try the following, it throws error "Connection desccriptor not found".
select * from [email protected];
It says "Connection desccriptor not found".
Any suggestions.

Well then, lookup the Documentation on the CREATE SYNONYM statement in the SQL Language Reference manual.
The documentation lists the types of objects which you can create synonyms for.
You can create synonyms for objects referenced across DBLinks.
You cannot create synonyms for DBLinks.

Which OS X is installed on your Mac ?
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac. The version is noted there.
Make sure your Mac OS X software is up to date.
Disconnect the iPad from your Mac.
Open System Preferences > Software Update > Check Now
If any updates are required, make sure to restart your Mac after the updates are installed then connect your iPad and see if iTunes recognizes it under Devices.

External content type error: Business Data Connectivity object not found.

Hello
I have to change the external database (external system) for an external content type. The database view on the new database is exactly the same as on the old database.
After changing the external system of the external content type, this happens:
When I try to add a new item to the list, I get this error under the external data field:
"Business Data Connectivity object not found. Administrators, see the server log for more information."
Also, when I try to update the external data field, it is not possible because the buttons are grey.
When I add a new external data field to the same list, I can use the external content type. For some reason the current external data field doesn't update.
Any ideas?

Have you implemented both ‘Read List’ & ‘Read Item’ operations in your ECT?

Error: RFC connection host not found

I have configured the SLD and JCO destinations also. But when i test connection system throws the error.

the entry sapmsDEV is missing in your "services"-file on the computer that hosts your SLD-Server/J2EE WAS. Windows locates it at %WINDIR%/system32/drivers/etc, unix usually at /etc/.
make an entry like that:
sapmsDEV 3600/tcp (in case, your Systemnumber is 00, otherwise replace the "00" with your actual systemnumber)

Change connection timeout, not found waiting for dialup connection

Using Firefox 6.02 on Vista 32.
The dial-up connection is slow connecting which cause Firefox to time out with a page not found while waiting. Is there a setting to extend the time out?

BO4 - auit universe changing to oracle connection - table not found

Hi,
We have found the BO4 sample audit universe on sdn and can open in IDT but when parse the objects says table not found.
The tables physically exist on database and when do insert in data foundation layer they are there.
Changed connection from mysql to our boaudit databse connection.
Any ideas?

This contains only the Activity universes for Sybase and SQL Server but not Oracle. Unfortunately, every database requires its own Activity universe. I am afraid that you have to build your own.

OC4J AJP13 Firewalled Connection, Page Not Found and Action Cancelled

I have a J2EE application that works fine within the company intranet, however the live internet available version is plagued by Action Cancelled and Page Not Found Errors. We also get some queries that hang.
Having recently switched from Apache2/Tomcat to OHS/OC4J (10gR2), through a halfway house of Apache2/OC4J, I can also state that the problem occurs on these platforms as well. The operational application only uses SSL connections.
According to our Firewall team idal connection timeouts are in the order of six hours, and we have tried opening all ports between the Web Server and Application Server, just in case we were blocking something, all to no avail.
We also sometimes get the ie popup for changing between secure and unsecure objects, or displaying secure and unsecure objects, despite having those popups disabled in the browser. The only HTTP call shown within the HTTP trace is a random call from the browser to CONNECT to the application secure base URL which points to a splash page. I have no idea where this is coming from.
The application concerned is Business Objects.
Any thoughts.
Interestingly, when I activate Fiddler, the Microsoft IE HTTP(S) monitor the problem goes away, except for the page hangs which occur when a jsp script requests data.
I can modify any parameters relating to mod_oc4j, OHS, and the application container.

check your web.xml and struts-config.xml file . Are they correct ? . i mean validate them.
also are you facing this error in a particular request or in every request.

Partial Connectivity/Server not found

Okay, I've got OS 10.4.9 and i'm using the newest Safari. I've had this Imac for a few months now and it hasn't give me any troubble since I got it until today. I turn it on and it lets me on some sites, but with no pictures...then I try to get to my email and it gives me Server not found, then I try to get to msn.com, again server not found, and then on to myspace and it lets me connect, but with strictly HTML (some pics and the background is black and white)...I called my ISP and they checked the connection, the router, the modem, and said that it was a simple software issue and that apple would be able to fix it in just a seconds time. I call apple and they want $40 to do it, so now I'm hoping that there's someone out there that can help me out. Please let me know if you have any suggestions and I'll try them out. Thanks, James

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.

"problem loading"; "unable to connect"; "server not found" - ??

Been using Firefox 6 years with DSl. Recently have gotten nothing but the above messages - can't open any pages! Got a new DSL modem, re-downloaded Firefox and still can't open any pages - not even mozilla.com or google or cnn.
Rebooted, restarted, etc.
Even tried to download Chrome, but it failed - and I couldn't find out why because the "tell me why" defaulted to Firefox.
... really no fan of IE ...

While playing or trying to open yahoo, sites go down with messages: Unable to connect, server not found, connection has timed out or the connection was reset.

Notification Error : Connection IWBEP_ODATA_OD_PUSH not Found

When i was implementing Subscription and notification referring Pushing Notifications Made Easy!!! : Push a Notification in Gateway Hub but getting an Exception 'CX_BGRFC_INVALID_DESTINATION' for IWBEP_ODATA_OD_PUSH .
"IWBEP_ODATA_OD_PUSH" Connection is not present in Gateway Server (Verified using T-Code SM59 ).
Can i know how to create IWBEP_ODATA_OD_PUSH connection in Gateway HUB or else any other alternative .

You Need to configure Background RFC. Please check the following links for detailed steps for BGRFC.
1) Maintaining Outbound bgRFC Queue from SAP Backend System to the - SAP NetWeaver Gateway - SAP Library
2) Maintaining Inbound bgRFC Queue on the Hub System - SAP NetWeaver Gateway Foundation (SAP_GWFND) - SAP Library
3) Configure the bgRFC Supervisor Destination - SAP NetWeaver Gateway - SAP Library
Try these and check if all works fine.

MySql JDBC connection classdef not found

Hello there i am currently trying to connect a mysql database to my project. I am using Jbuilder5 enterprise . Currently i have tables setup using MySQL and i can connect to them using the database pilot. Yet when i try to access the database using java code i get a classdefnot found at event dispatch. Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong?

No, don't put that JAR or any other in that directory. That's for language extensions (e.g., packages that begin with "javax") only.
The MySQL JAR should be closer to your class files, IMO. Then you have to add it to the CLASSPATH according to JBuilder's conventions.
I use a standard directory structure for all my apps. At the top level is a directory for the application. Under a directory named "source" where I put all the code that comes out of the version control system. Under that I'll have different directories (e.g., "java" for Java source files, "lib" for 3rd party JARs like your MySQL JDBC JAR, etc.)
I create another directory "build" under the application directory where all the generated stuff goes, like .class files, javadocs, JUnit reports, etc.
This lets me use a common Ant build file to build my apps and keeps everything together. I just all all the JARs in my "lib" directory when I compile the code. I'd recommend organizing your apps this way, too.

Time Capsule connection cycle & not found in airport utility

Hi all,
Multiple TC problems. I have a TC, and an AE on a network (TC as core, AE as extender). The network is fine on my MB and MBP, but my PC gets disconnected every 20 minutes, which is infuriating. Also my Airport utility cannot see my time capsule, even though it must be working (my wifi is fine, and its the primary).
The firmware on my AE is up to date, and I updated that when I last updated the TC, so I assume they are both the same.
Any suggestions? should I just return it?

Similar problem, I have had my TC replaced, same issue with new one, it goes offline but is still delivering internet.
I can ALWAYS access my 2 other airport expresses, but daily the TC becomes unable to access from Airport utility.It shows up but fails reading TC config. I reboot the TC and all is well for a day at most. I can ping the TCs ip when this is happening and the TC continues PPPoe to fiber connection.
I have downgraded the firmware upgraded it again, went to default settings... nothing makes a difference. I checked all cables and switches they all seem fine.
