    Hi experts,
I have a following problem: SXI_CACHE is not functioning with following message.
com.sap.aii.ib.server.abapcache.CacheRefreshException: Connection to system RUNTIME using application RUNTIME lost. Detailed information: Error accessing "http:<xihost>:80xx/run/hmi_service_id_fresh_swcv/int?container=any" with user "XIDIRUSER". Response code is 404, response message is "Not Found".
I have checked users, passwords and roles - everything looks ok. RFC connections too. It is about Netweaver 2004s (SP09) Java stack restart. I tried many Sap notes, but have not found nothing eficient.
It seems to me, that port shall be in range 5xx00 not 80xx. Manually, I have tried 5xx00 port in broser and it works.
Integration Engine (ICM) port was in range 5xx00 which I have changed to 80xx (in TC SMICM, Exchange profiles and SLD) according to recomendations. All this started to happen after J2EE Stack restart.
Why is it pooling wrong port ?
    Regards
    Jurica

    FYI
In mean time we found the problem:
On of exchange Profile parameters (com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.httpport) was set to wrong port - to 80xx instead of 5xx00. After Java Stack restart from SMICM, everything was ok again.
So, this is actually Java Stack port parameter,  com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.r3.httpport is ABAP Stack port.

  • Attempt to read obj from application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY failed

    Hi,
we have generated a transport from DEV PI to QAS PI.
This transport contains one namespace and several objects like mappings, etc.
Importing in QAS PI is shown as successful. No errors or conflicts occoured.
But when I opend the Software Component and the underlying namespace, no object is displayed.
In the default log I found following:
com.sap.aii.ib.core.roa.RoaObjectAccessException: Attempt to read object Operation Mapping OM_XXXX | http://XXXX.de/PI/RFC/XXX/AUFTRAG_ANLEGEN, type MAPPING from application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY failed. Object does not exist. Detailed informatio n: Object Operation Mapping OM_XXXX | http://XXXX.de/PI/RFC/XXX/AUFTRAG_ANLEGEN not found
But also the cache status is fine and the import of objects is shown with green lights.
Is there a possibility for finding the reason of the REPOSITORY issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    André

    Hi There,
One of the reason for the error attempt to read object from Application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY failed can be due to the fact the PI system is trying to read the respository objects from the DEV environment still, instead from the QA ennvironment.
    1. Check the host name for the QA system for repository and directory in Exchange profile,
    2. Also check the host name for the QA system that was maintained in the SOA MANAGER setting in the NWA. This might point to the Dev system still. ( IN case you are using WS adapters in your scenarios )
You can also refer the forum thread below,  which discuss about the same issue,

  • File System Repository - using DFS path

Hi, I want to integrate a windows share through a DFS (distributed file system) path. I only found this thread about DFS support where Marcel Rabe says that they have connected KM to a Microsoft based DFS.
Has anybody else managed to use a windows share through a dfs path?
I've created a network path where I have configured the dfs path with the correct user and password. I've provided the domain for the user like this:
    domain\username
Then I've created a File System Repository where I have defined the same dfs path as Root directory. I use AclSecurityManager but I've also tried to change it to "not set".
The Component Monitor shows the following error:
Startup Error:  getting mapped math - Access is denied
But I know that the username and password are correct.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Marcel,
that's exactly the problem we are experiencing with the same setup and same error-message.
Did you manage to resolve the problem? I'm gratefull for any hint.
    Regards,
    Alexander

  • Connection to the repository from AMT application

    Hello all,
    I have the following issue:
    - I had Mobile Sales installed in my laptop.
    - I have installed AMT application afterwards, by executing application SetupAMTRTOs.exe (no connection parameters where asked for this).
    - I have created ODBC access to the Repository server (to the ars_db), Tested and it is OK.
    -  I have assigned AMT user subscription and Authorization subscriptions to my site.
When I launch AMT, logon works OK, but message says: "Cannot connect to repository", then I cannot access objects from the repository.
What should I do to connect to the repository?
    Thanks all!

  • Unable to create File System Repository using Network Path

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a File System Repository.
I created a networkpath and windows system and used the same while creating File Repository according to the steps in help.
With out using Networkpath(i.e.,If I use IP address,I am able to create File System Repository).
But with the network path,it throws the following error as seen in Component Monitor.
<b>Startup Error:    The localroot does not exist: C:\usr\sap\IGTE\j2ee\j2ee_00\cluster\server\NWP_001
    My network path is NWP_001
    </b>
Did any one face this problem?
    Any help please........
    Rgds,
    Santhosh

    Hi,
I am getting the same error even if I replace(\) by slashes(/).
I tried on EP6SP12 as well as EP6SP2 and got the same error on both.
The repository is searching for a folder named with
n/w path on the portal server itself(i.e, it is searching in the following folder
    <b>C:\usr\sap\IGTE\j2ee\j2ee_00\cluster\server\NWP_001
My network path is NWP_001</b>),instead of searching on the remote system.
Can any one help me in solving the problem
    Thanks in Advance.

  • How to control permissions in KM using File System Repository Manager

    Hello everybody
I have a scenario with 15+ file servers which content needs to be mapped into Portal KM as read-only.
Windows Authentication is configured on the portal, so the users don't need to supply the portal with username/password.
Now the users are of course only allowed to see the same content in the portal as they can see on the file servers. I know that the permission mapping can be done using a File System Repository Manager with W2KSecurityManager, but in that case the users will have to maintain the mapping of rights from windows to portal manually. And with ever-changing passwords this is too big an administrative task. So I am looking for another solution.
    My question is therefore:
How can you configure the File System Repository Manager in a way where it the user does not need to maintain "user mapping" manually, but only need to logon to the portal (through windows authentication) and can see the same files from the portal as he/she can see from the file servers.
Can this information in some way be taken from the configured Windows Authentication? Or is the only solution to enable WebDav on the file servers and and follow the "Integration of Windows File Servers into the SAP KM platform Using SSO and the WebDAV Repository Manager"-guide?
    Any help will be rewarded.
    Best regards,
    Martin Søgaard

    Hi again Dirk
I just studied the "Integration of Windows File Servers into the SAP KM platform using SSO and the WebDAV repository manager"-guide in depth and I don't quite understand what rights the cmadmin_service and notificator_service are supposed to be given in the Active Directory. In the guide it says:
"A number of global services and repository services need to perform operations on resources in various repositories. For example, the index management service must read all resources it is meant to index. When an index is created, the service user index_service is used. Therefore, this user has to have at least read access to all repositories that are to be indexed. Other users that are used by the SAP KM platform are the service users notificator_service and cmadmin_service. When a search is taking place, it is the user that is currently logged on to the portal."
I dont quite understand what the two service users are doing but more importantly, I need to give the two service users the correct permissions in the Active Directory (or through user mapping). I understand that index_service only needs read_only permissions, but what permissions should the cmadmin_service and notificator_service be given?
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • Connecting to XML Repository Using HTTPS?

Is it possible to use HTTPS to connect to the repository using WebDAV or secure FTP? I can't run a web server using HTTP.
    Thanks,
    Bill

The following may help... However please note at the moment we have not certified XML DB HTTP with a HTTPS /SSL / TCPS connection. Nor have I tried this myself..
Please follow the following steps to configure HTTPS:
    1.     Make sure Oracle Advance Security is installed
    a.     It installs by default for Enterprise Edition
    2.     Create and configure a Wallet
    a.     Refer to Oracle Advance Security Administrators Guide, Chapter 17 Using Oracle Wallet Manager, for creating the Wallet
    i.     From $ORACLE_HOME/bin run owm
    b.     Import the trusted certificate in the Wallet
    3.     Configure SSL on the Server
    a.     Refer to Oracle Advance Security Administrators Guide, Chapter 7 Configuring Secure Sockets Layer Authentication
    b.     Follow the steps in Task 3: Configure SSL on the Server, in the Enabling SSL section
    4.     Edit the xdbconfig.xml configuration file to specify http-protocol as tcps
    a.     Locate the <httpconfig> section
    b.     Change the value of <http-protocol> tag from tcp to tcps
    5.     Edit the Database initialization file to start a TCPS dispatcher
    6.     Restart the Database

  • File System Repository problem

    Hello guys,
    I'm on:
    J2EE Engine 6.40 PatchLevel 98256.313
    Portal 6.0.14.0.0
    KnowledgeManagementCollaboration 6.0.14.4.0 (NW04 SPS14 Patch 4)
    running on a Windows machine.
I'm trying to set up a File System Repository to connect to a remote share on another Windows machine. I followed the documentation and also some hints here from SDN and still can't connect to the share.
    In component monitor it says:
Startup Error:  The localroot does not exist:
    10.80.1.55\Test_portal
In a trace log I'm getting this:

I had an idea that it could be because of the Serverlet Engine User, which is set up due to documentation, but is only a local user not a domain user. I don't know to which extent this user is important for FS Mount Service. I thought, that for connecting to a remote share, there is only important the user and password set up in Network Path settings in CM.
Changing the user on which is EP running is quite a difficult step due to our security policies and so on. So I would rather not experiment with this until I try all the other possibilities.
Could you, please, give me some advice?

    Hi Jiri,
have you used double forward slashes in your network path? Please try: //10.80.1.55/Test_portal
You can also test from the portal machine that you can mount the drive via command shell:
    "net use t:
    10.80.1.55\Test_portal /user:DOMAIN\USER"
(make sure you specify the user with domain)
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • Create  a file system repository

    Hi all,
when I create a file system repository in the following solution:
    System Administration &#8594; System Configuration&#8594;Knowledge Management&#8594;Content Management&#8594;Repository Managers &#8594; File System Repository
There I input the name and the URL which is available on the server.
Then I go to Content Administration &#8594; KM Content to check the content of the repository I have created , I can find the folder in the first level directory, but why I can't find the text file I create under the second level .
    such as: URL C:/kmtest
            on the server   C:/kmtest/1
                                 C:/kmtest/1/1.text
(I can see the folder 1, but when I click this fodler on  the portal , I can see nothing.)
When I use System Administration &#8594; Monitoring &#8594; Knowledge
Management &#8594; Component Monitor to check the status of the repository , I find it was not in green light .
Then what is the reason ? Thank you if you can help me !

Check permissions of that folder give full permissions.

  • File System repository error in component monitor

    Hi,
I created a file system repository in our portal server which will connect to windows file system and display the folder structure.
I created a File system repository manager with the following properties mentioned below
Prefix (must start with /): /FMICDelaers
    Lookup mode: caseless
    Root Directory:
    fendercorp\FMICDelaers
    Repository Services:
    Property Search Manager:
    Security Manager: W2kSecurityManager
    ACL Manager Cache:ca_rsrc_acl
    Windows Landscape System: B2B_Windows
I have given full acees to everyone for FMICDealers folder on fendercorp server.
We have created a networkpath called B2B_windows as mentioned below
    jCIFS Protocol: yes
    Description:
    Network Path:
    fendercorp\FMICDelaers
    Password:xxxxx
    User: insidefender\ssayneni
When i am checking the repository in component monitor i am getting the below error
Startup Error:  The localroot does not exist: /usr/sap/EPD/JC61/j2ee/cluster/server0/
    fendercorp\FMICDealers
    Thanks
    Sushanth

    Hi
A general recommendation would be to use small letters in all ID's regardring network drives, repositories etc. See https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/002fb447-d670-2910-67a5-bfbbf0bb287d for advice on how to optimize performance of KM.
Other than that, you could check the documentation mentioned here:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/message?messageID=6398301#6398301
It seems as the root directory in your File System Repository Manager is not defined correctly. It should be forward slash instead of backslash.
Go through the settings again and see if the startup error changes or disappears. The startup error indecated that it is a configuration error.
    Best regards,
    Martin Søgaard

  • Query on File System Repository..Please guide

    Hello All,
I have successfully created the <b>File System Repository</b>, connecting a folder on my windows 2000 machine to an EP (Netweaver 2004s) KM, following the steps like:
    1. Creation of <i>Windows System</i>
    2. <i>Network Path</i> since the server and my machine are seperate systems
    3. Creation of the <i>File System Repository</i>.
You may refer to the above steps in detail using <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/e3/92322ab24e11d5993800508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">link</a>
    <u>Question</u>:
    1. After the successful creation, I deleted the Windows system created, but the File System Repository was still working all fine. Why so? Shouldn't this throw me an exception?
    2. While creation of the Windows System, I entered the ID and Desription.
In the Network Paths, I entered the folder's name (folder which is on my machine/which is to mapped) & my machine's username + password.
Then how does the system/server know which windows system is to be mapped for the netwrok path?
In other words, what is the mapping betweeen the Network path & Windows system?
    3. If you access the above link, there is a step of creating a System in the Portal System Landscape. What is the need to do this? Can you please explain......
Why create a PCD System object, System Alias, etc....
Would appreciate if you please help me understand this concept.....
    Awaiting REply.
    Thanks & Warm Regards,
    Ritu
