Bad performance on CF9 after upgrade from CF8

I'm stuck with a problem after upgrade from CF8 entreprise to CF9 entreprise.
We are using IIS6 on WIN2003R2 (SP2).
There are a lot of "503 Server Error" with no content. (about 0.05% of request). This can be occured on big or small CFM, graphic ressources, etc...
For each error I can see the following error on the connector logs (jrun_iis6_wildcardYYMMDD.log).
2011-01-02 19:00:05 jrISAPI[1456:3940] returning error page for JRun too busy or out of memory
I've never seen this message in previous CF connector version.
And on the jrun log (coldfusion-outXXX.log), I read the following errors:

There is no line about a memory issue!
These errors happening on random request not ALL!! (arround 0.05%), and there is no real link between load and this... Our applications handle a lot of POST download, but like I've described before, error can occured on classic cfm page and static ressource...
What I mean with upgrade CF8 to CF9, is with our 10 other servers running on CF8, I've never see that 503 issue outside a real jrun problem (like a memory crash, restart, etc...)

Migrating from Solaris Sybase Adaptive Server 12 to Windows2000 Oracle9i
Can I run the Sybase Adaptive Server 12 Script "SYBASE12_DSML_SCRIPT.BAT" on the Solaris (UNIX) server to generate metadata flat files (.dat) and then copy them over to the Windows2000 Oracle server and run the Oracle Migration WorkBench to capture the source model?
You should still be able to use the Oracle Migration Workbench.
The migration workbench is for microsoft windows, but can connect to oracle on HP using oracle's sqlnet, JDBC/ODBC bridge is used to connect to Sybase, which should be supplied with your Sybase release.
I hope this enables your migration to move forward,

Acrobat X1, Purchased upgrade, failed as no valid product to upgrade from existed (my mistake but want my money back!). So purchased Acobat X1 std, install seemed OK, but does not work as I continue to get the upgrade screen saying no valid product to upgrade from? So now I have spent lots $$ and nothing working. Thanks for this; my issue is that I have now supposedly purchased a retail version of Acrobat X1 (i.e just spent more $$, after the upgrade attempt to Acrobat X1 failed), and while this feigns an OK install, it fails in someway to override the "Upgrade Acrobat X1 version". E.G. once I load up to read an acrobat file the "upgrade version" executes/intercepts and ask for serial numbers and check for a previous qualifying version which I do not have, (BUT what I do have is the current retail version of acrobat X1 which is not recognised)
Do I need to uninstall and start over again? (I am reluctant to do this as I am sure serial number issues will arise, as I assume downloaded file will be cleaned up etc, and I am not spending more money trying again!)

Since upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion, when I login 1 of 2 disk images I have set to open on login does not mount. It worked under Lion. Stickies opens just fine. The disk images are sparse disk bundles. Are there any suggested remedies? I have already tried repairing permissions. One interesting thing is that previously in LIon, the disk images were just sparse images, not sparse bundles. I switched to bundles after reading that Time Machine backups of sparse bundles would not copy the entire image, only the changed parts. The sprase images are for sharing of photo and iTUnes libraries among multiple family member on the same computer.
If it is working as expected, what do you need with the old backup?
If you want to be able to go back to where you were prior to an upgrade, isolate that backup and don't use it again. As far as Time Machine can tell, the whole drive changed.
The link I posted contains probably everything that anybody knows about Time Machine and how to manipulate it to work as you would like as opposed to how it was designed to work. There are FAQs to continue a backup as opposed to starting fresh, but I wouldn't recommend it for the reasons above. Pondini probably doesn't, either.
If you are going to do a wholesale upgrade of the OS, I would create a bootable clone using something like Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. A bootable clone on an external drive can have you back up and running instantly if the upgrade fails in any way. If the upgrade goes fine, store it away in case you find the current system isn't to your liking. -

In-place upgrade of Enterprise Manager for RAC databases is not supported
upgrading 2 node RAC from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.3 on Windows 2003 64 bit. I got the following:

Now I cannot log in to the database control as sys with sysdba role . I get "invalid username/password" error
I can login as a dba user
I also get a java error after I log in, some thing about class not found, but then I'm in and I can do everything that I try, although I haven't tried scheduling a backup yet

Considering Upgrading From PS Elements to full blown CS 4
Hi,
I'm a web site designer who currently uses Photoshop Elements. I don't do print design, and I don't usually create graphics from scratch (I have an asscoaite who does my artwork when I need customstuff). What I do is purchase graphics from StockXpert, then apply effects, filters, etc in PS Elements as needed, then reisze, crop, etc.
I am considering upgrading to the full CS 4 because of the $299 upgrade offer for all Elements owners. I donwloaded the trial version, and there are so many new things, I don't know where to begin.
Based on the info I've given about my work, what other features in CS 4 would I probably use in my daily work? I know that everyone must make their own decisions, but I'm just trying to gage whether the features would warrant the upgrade for me.

MichaelRemember, that was only one opinion, but then I do a lot of forum work on the video side of Adobe. Much is with Premiere Elements, which is often bundled with PSE. I have never used that program, but have come to know some aspects, as I post solutions from the PS-side of things. I get responses along the lines of, "PSE doesn't do that, but ____ just offered a workaround that almost works." One day, I really need to buy a copy of PSE, so I can related directly to what those folk encounter - but then there would be that "learning curve."
In your case, you have a definite leg-up on learning PS, since you have most of the foundation. It'll be just a GUI thing with you.
For me, things are similar now, as I am still on CS2. I read a great deal on CS4, both here and in Photoshop User magazine, and realize that the game board has been "tilted" in many regards. Many of the contributors here have to keep reminding me that CS4 changed things.
I might miss CS4, but that is because I have to now upgrade my Production Studio with Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, et al, and I do not find enough reason to move to PrPro CS4 to do so. When CS5 hits, I will have updated my workstation, and my OS to Win7-64. Then, I will have to re-learn PS (my old friend), as more will likely have changed.
From PS 2.5, I always upgraded for nearly every version (missed PS 5.5), until CS3. I always kept my old version installed, in case a client hit me with an "I need it yesterday" request, and I was still learning the differences between, say PS 5 and PS 6. I wanted something that I knew intimately on hand. That is about where you'll be. New names, new locations, and new features, but basically an "old friend." She might be wearing contacts now and have a new hair-do, but you will recognize her.
