Console cannot find instance
Hi everybody,
I'm invoking a BPEL process via Console and the process is executed without visible errors, but I can't see the process flow in the Console until the process is executed completely. It tells me that it can't find the instance. What do I have to do so that the flow is shown at runtime?

Hi,
you can only running instances if you use:
wait
java:exec checkpoint()
asynchronous invokes
and some others. If you only use synchronous invokes your process is never dehydrated and so you get only the complete workflow, when it is finished...

Urgent - Cannot find instances

I am facing below given error and am not sure whats really wrong. This happens when I try to log on to BPEL Console. If I restart the server, the error goes off and comes back after some time. I am running BPEL PM 10.1.3.3 on Jboss server and my dehydration store is Oracle 10g.

- Its located on a remote server
Olite? Oracle Express or Oracle DB?
- Oracle 10g
Please check, if you can login into your datastore as user orabpel.
- Yes I can log in using orabpel user
Your problem could be due to an error of your DB...
- Wondering if its a DB error, then I should see an Ora DB error code in log, but nothing is being shown. So not sure if it would be DB related.

Hello World CANNOT FIND SPECIFIED INSTANCE
I started with the BPEL PM Training http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/bpel/pdf/orabpel-Training-Segment01.pdf.
1. The screens are not the same as in JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0.4066...
2. I was able to compile hello world
3. when i went to bpel console the hello world was not there so i used the deploy button and did the deploy it manually
4. I was able to see the process
5. However, when I ran it and went to audit instance, i get the error message "cannot find the specified instance"
6. the solution said 'if the instance has recently been initiated, the invocation data may not have been delivered to the engine yet. Refresh your browser window and try again in a few seconds"
7. I tried both several times and get the same error message
Anyone know how to fix this?
I am running DHCP with the loopback adapter - is that a problem?

Cannot find new instances in the workspace
I use BPM Standalone 10g and Studio 10g.
I create a process without a global creation activity and deploy as well as publish it in the BPM Standalone.
The process just has one activity named Interactivejcooper. Its main task is set to Method.
I also create a JAVA PAPI to create new instances of this process. It can create new instances.
However, I cannot find all new instances created by PAPI in the workspace.

I am getting the above error when i try to execute a BPEL process that does some DML operation on the database.
I doubt whether this relates to the database.
Please suggest.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've upgraded AS and BPEL PM from 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.3 As I found out in another thread (Cannot find the specified instance the problem could be in not running the upgrade sql script, but I did that.
When I initiate my process the number of Open Instances and closed instances remains 0. I've tried by deploying my process to default domain and a new domain I've created but it doesn't matter.
The message in my domain.log file is this:

Cannot find SQL Server 2008 instance
I have installed SQL server 2008 Developer edition on my laptop. When I open SSMS I cannot find the installed instance under the Server Name group and When I choose the Browse More option and go to Database engine, the instance name does not show up. Will

I think local servers list is obtained by reading the registry key

thx for your help in advance.The javac compiler does not understand what "Console" means in your code. (BTW, to follow recommended coding conventions, you class should be named MyRSA - using coding conventions will get you better help.)
It appears that Console is a class you wrote or was given to you. You need to import it, if it is not in the same package as myRSA. And, the compiler needs to be able to find it through the Classpath. -
What does it mean if the system "cannot find driver for console framebuffer"?
I've just installed Solaris 7 on a SparcStation 20 with 256 MB RAM, 1 + 2 GB hard drives, 1xSuperSparcII. When I boot up it says "NOTICE:Cannot find driver for console framebuffer". I can't run the CDE, and I assume this is because there is no graphics driver. The graphics card (it's an add-on but by Sun) presumably needs a driver and I would have thought that this would have been included with the Solaris 7 CD. The whole thing worked fine when it was running Solaris 2.5.1 and now I've installed a new OS (initial as opposed to upgrade) it just don't work. Any ideas?
The "output-device" parameter may not be set properly in Open Boot Prom(OBP) and hence during installation, the driver may not be installed. To fix this, try the following steps.
1. Note down the current value for output-device. This value is to be restored later.
printenv output-device
2. Set the "output-device" parameter to "screen" in OBP
setenv output-device screen
3. Perform a reconfiguration boot using the command "boot -r"
4. The error will not appear. Verify that /dev/fb refers to a device link.
5. Go to ok prompt again and restore the output-device to its original value (as noted in step 1). The reason for doing this is that some resolution parameters would have been set earlier for your output-device.
6. Reboot the system again. The error may appear again but since the device link is already created, the CDE will work.

We have Windows 2012 Server hosting 2 VMs - Domain Controller & RDS. We have been doing Windows Server Backup incremental and have an ongoing issue with scheduled backups each night. The backup shows completed with warnings and generates
2 log files.

We had been getting a successful backup once or twice a week which showed completed (with no mentioned of warnings) but now it regularly shows completed with warnings as noted above.
We did a manual full backup of the DC to a different external drive a few days ago and that completed without warnings and the backup shows: E: Completed 63.38 Full - VSS Copy Backup Successful, 8/27/13 3:35 PM - 4:43 PM. Data Transferred 63.38
On a side note, we can view the logs in the windows/logs/windowsserverbackup directory but when we attempt to view the details of a log file through the Local Backup Console for any log which shows completed with errors, we get a "MMC has detected an
error in the snapin and will unload and then it shows Object referenced not set to instance of an object." The manual backup noted above that was successful is able to be viewed through the Local Backup Console without this error.
Any idea as to why this is failing during the scheduled backups? This hosts a database that we need to have regular successful backups.Hi,

If issue still exists, have a try with the step it provided "VSSADMIN Resize ShadowStorage" to enlarge the shadow storage.
Also you could test to delete all old Shadow Copies by acccessing <Drive> Properties --> Shaodow Copies --> Delete Now. This will remove all your backup information so if it is not acceptable, just skip this step.

Error message in BPEL console when purging instances

I get an error message in the BPEL console when I Purge All Instances. The problem arised when i patched SOA suite to version 10.1.3.3. (On 10.1.3.1 i beleive this worked.)

As this was on Windows with Oracle Lite, I did like below to fix the issue. Unfortunately I seem to have more issues with the BPEL database so I'm going to try to find a way to reinitialize it from scratch.

Cannot find the Config DN or the Searchbase: OAM
Hello,
I'm getting a "Cannot find the Config DN or the Searchbase" error when I try to configure the Identity Server via the webpass console. I have installed the Identity Server and Webpass successfully. I'm using ADSI to connect to AD, which is my Directory Sever.
I am using implicit bind with ADSI. the user that is being used is an enterprise admin in the top level domain. The IIS 6 web server is also running with anonymous access as this same user. I have tried to configure my users to exist in a child domain while the configuration information lives in the top level domain. I extended schema in the top level domain. When this did not work, I tried to make both users and config data in the top level domain, which did not work either.
Any suggestions why I'm getting this error?

Unfortunately that's a bit of a catchall error message, it could mean any of:
- the schema is not correct ;
- a typo in the config dn or searchbase ;
- insufficient access rights ;
- wrong/invalid person object class entered.
Probably other stuff as well. My first thought would be to re-check the schema - if you updated in manually did you use the ADSchema.ldif file, and does the MMC Schema add-in definitely show all the oblix* objectclasses in the schema of the instance that you're connecting to?
If all else fails, it will be necessary to have a look at the AD logs to see whcih ldap call from OAM is causing the problem (and/or the Identity Server at TRACE level).

According to the log, WSUS post install can not configure the website successfully.
Have you change any default setting in IIS? If there is no other website running on the IIS, please try to reinstall the IIS role.
