OSB 11g - Apache Webserver - WSDL location redirecting to OSB server

Hi,
In our case we have a OSB server running on a dev machine and a Apache server is installed which receives the requests from the vendor and forwards the requests to the OSB. I have a Proxy Service on the OSB which is WSDL based and this is accessed by the vendor.
The DMZ only allows requests from the vendor to the web server and not to the OSB.
From client's end when they send the WSDL request http://*<webserver_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl to the webserver, the WSDL is sent back to the client. But in that WSDL the service endpoint location points to the OSB server (http://*<osb_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl). Upon receiving this the client tries sends the request to OSB server directly which is blocked by the DMZ. The client should have got the response as http://*<webserver_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl so that it could send the request to the web server and not the OSB server. The calls to the OSB server are not allowed by the DMA. Because of this their call to invoke the data is not successful.
I tried hard coding the URL http://<webserver_ip>/endpoint-uri?wsdl in the WSDL and then use it but still the problem is not resolved. Still in the endpoint address location in the WSDL the IP of the OSB is sent and not the IP of the web server.
What can I do so that the WSDL which is sent to the vendor has the service endpoint location as http://<webserver_ip>/endpoint-uri?wsdl and not http://*<osb_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl.
Thanks,
Sanjay

I tried hard coding the URL http://<webserver_ip>/endpoint-uri?wsdl in the WSDL and then use it but still the problem is not resolved. Still in the endpoint address location in the WSDL the IP of the OSB is sent and not the IP of the web server.
The url in the port section of the wsdl resource is never used in the effective wsdl generated by OSB. Instead you can use weblogic Frontend host/port properties for solving this.
The below describes the rule how weblogic computes the hostname part of the URL in the generated wsdl's for its deployed web services:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/webserv/setenv.html#wp220945
# If the Web Service is deployed to a cluster, and the cluster Frontend Host, Frontend HTTP Port, and Frontend HTTPS Port are set, then WebLogic Server uses these values in the server address of the dynamic WSDL.
# If the preceding cluster values are not set, but the Frontend Host, Frontend HTTP Port, and Frontend HTTPS Port values are set for the individual server to which the Web Service is deployed, then WebLogic Server uses these values in the server address.
# If these values are not set for the cluster or individual server, then WebLogic Server uses the server address of the WSDL request in the dynamic WSDL.

  • Dealing with changing service wsdl locations  in the ESB

    Hi,
    I wonder how you can easily change the WSDL locations for the webservices in the SOAP services of your ESB project. I need this to be able to easily deploy an ESB project on the different OTAP environments.
    I have looked for a solution myself, but till now I must conclude that you need to make a new SOAP service each time the WSDL location changes. Also, you need to make a new xslt mapping file in the routing service that is proxying the SOAP service, because the mapping file also contains/needs WSDL location information. I omit the option to manually edit the source files in my favourite text editior, because this is not want you want by default.
    BPEL contains a wsdlRuntimeLocation parameter for its PartnerLink definitions, which you can use to change wsdl locations during environment change. I hope the ESB also has a comparable option to make environment changes easy...

  • How to writing an image from my applet to my apache webserver

    hi everyone,
    i have a big problem, writing an image from my applet to my apache
    webserver. i tried three way's of writing that file. every way was
    described in forums to solve this problem, but non of them worked and
    i don't know why. i'll give you the code of my writing-methods and
    describe, what happen when i test them, in order someone of you can
    give me an usefull tip, where the problem is.
    as inputparameter i give my method a new URL referring to
    http://localhost/test.jpg (this is the same directory, where my applet
    is loaded from, so i should have reading and writing permission,
    havn't i? while i'm developing, my applet runs on the same pc as my
    webserver, just in case you're wondering about localhost) and a
    selfmade BufferedImage (i already testet if it is not null and shows
    the correct things ... all ok).
    1. try:
    private void writeImageToServer(URL fileURL,BufferedImage img){
    try {
    URLConnection urlConnection = fileURL.openConnection();
    urlConnection.setDoOutput(true);
    OutputStream urlout = urlConnection.getOutputStream();
    BufferedOutputStream out = new BufferedOutputStream(urlout);
    ImageIO.write(img,"jpg",out);
    out.close(); // i also tried without this line -> same result
    // additionally a question: do i need
    out.close()?
    catch( IOException e ){
    e.printStackTrace();
    result:
    test.jpg doesn't appear in the webroot. but some very strange messages
    in the error.log of my apacheserver:

    i cannot explain this lines to myself, because my apache should have
    nothing to do with java. all my javacode is executed on the client
    side in the browser. do this messages mean i have to add the ImageIO
    package from the sdk to my jar-applet. the jre, used by my iexplorer,
    doesn't contain this files in the meta-inf/services directory of
    rt.jar, but that's version 1.4.2_03, the same as my sdk, and the
    rt.jar contains the corresponding classfiles at javax.imageio.spi. so
    i'm realy confused by this messages.
    2. try:
    private void writeImageToServer(URL fileURL,BufferedImage img){
    try {
    URLConnection urlConnection = fileURL.openConnection();
    urlConnection.setDoOutput(true);

    BufferedOutputStream out = new BufferedOutputStream(urlout);
    JPEGImageEncoder encoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(out);
    encoder.encode(img);
    out.close(); // same comments as above
    catch( IOException e ){

    result:
    nothing. no error-messages in the error.log, no exceptions in the
    java-console and no test.jpg in the webroot. i searched my whole

    works?
    3. try:
    private void writeImageToServer(URL fileURL,BufferedImage img){
    try {
    File file = new File(fileURL.toString);
    file.createNewFile();
    BufferedOutputStream out = new BufferedOutputStream(new
    FileOutputStream(file));
    JPEGImageEncoder encoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(out);
    encoder.encode(img);
    out.close(); // same comments as above
    catch( Exception e ){
    e.printStackTrace();
    result:
    the SecurityManager denies this action with "access denied" while
    calling createNewFile(). well, this way was dedicated to run from an
    application, not from an applet. i'd have to sign my applet to get the
    rights to do this, or i can edit java.policy on my client, what i
    don't want, because i cannot do this on every client, the applet will
    run, when i'm finished with it. this brings me to the question: does
    anybody know's how to sign my applet and give it full access to the
    harddrive and the webserver without paying 400$ to VeriSign for a
    commercial CA? i want to do this by myself, without paying anything
    and without giving a lot of information to another company.
    i would realy appreciate, if someone could give me a hint where i am
    wrong or how to do this correct.
    thank you very much

    You hold several misconceptions. The first is that an applet can write to a server without help from the server. That will never work on a real server (though it might work in testing, if the server is on the same PC as the applet). Applets cannot get a File object that points to any place on the server.
    If you write a servlet designed for accepting image uploads, the applet can communicate back to that servlet and feed it the bytes of the image. There are other technologies that can replace the servlet, of course (PHP, ASP..) but I mention that because you say you are running Apache - and that is very Java oriented.
    For more help on servlets, try the [Web Tier APIs - Java Servlet|http://forums.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=33] forum.

  • Connection Reset on Oracle SOA-Suite 10.1.3.5.0 Apache-Webserver with SSLv3

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use SSL with my SOA-Suite 10.1.3.5.0 Webserver. This Problem occurs on both a windows and a linux machine. I'm referring to the windows-machine, as this has the latest patch-level. My problems are about the Apache-Webserver only. I didn't do any special configuration, and SSL is working fine in the Browser (FF3.5 and IE 8). But for Paypal IPN Notification i'm having serious troubles. I was able to track down the problem to a SSLv3 problem. I installed the latest openssl version and issued the following command:

    I played around with SSLCipherSuite in the ssl.conf without success. I fear mod_ossl has a bug when working with the specified ssl-parameters. Is there any way out of this?

    Did you find a solution to this issue? We are having a similar issue trying to deploy a Paypal IPN on OAS 10.1.2.3. The IPN messages coming from Paypal appear to be attempting an SSLv2 handshake. In our case SSLv2 is disabled due to our security requirements so the connection is killed by our App Server. We have found that manually sending the IPN messages works correctly.

  • Fail to configure Apache webserver 2.0.53 as plugin to weblogic server 8.1

    Hello,
    I have installed weblogic server 8.1 with sp2 on windows XP system. I have configured a domain with configuration wizard
    with these settings -
    server name "myServer"
    port No - 7001
    I have installed apache webserver 2.0.53 on windows XP. I have followed the steps to Installing and Configuring the Apache HTTP Server Plug-In with weblogic server.
    After making the installation and configuration when i try to test the server plugin installation i am getting this error
    Failure of server APACHE bridge:
    No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds.
    Please let me know what exactly is going wrong and throw some light how can i proceed.
    Thanks,
    Nanda kishore

    I recd a similar message.
    This message indicates that the configuration setting for the Apache plugin are proper.
    You probably need to check if our Weblogic server has been restarted properly.
    thanks

  • Apache webserver can't find tomcat - mod_jk problem?

    Hi
    I have recently upgraded HP-UX apache software
    FROM
    Apache webserver: 2.0.55
    Apache tomcat : 5.5.9
    TO
    Apache webserver: 2.0.55
    Apache tomcat : 5.5.9
    I have 2 tomcats running, one JVM for a daytime service and another for a nighttime service.
    So while 1 tomcat is down, the other is up, apache always running.
    However, since I have upgraded, I see the following error messages in jk.log:
    [Mon Nov 20 07:00:41 2006] [error] ajp_connection_tcp_get_message::jk_ajp_common
    .c (949): ERROR: can't receive the response message from tomcat, network problems or tomcat is down (127.0.0.1:8059), err=-232
    The tomcat in question is up - and the messages returned are 500 responses - server configuration issue.
    Get several a day.
    Basically using mod_jk to bind the tomcat installations to apache webserver.
    What is new though in mod_jk 1.2.10 is that a shared memory file is specified. I am wondering what happens to this memory that is used to load balance the workers when tomcats are bounced.
    Issues go away after a bounce of apache - but after each tomcat has been stopped once - messages start to fail intermittently after that.
    Done some googling but do not see any solutions - so here's hoping!
    Thanks.

    Noticed my deliberate mistake!
    From
    Apache 2.0.32
    Tomcat 3
    Still no joy with with this in terms of finding a solution to why the newer version of apache cannot find tomcat after it has been bounced.
    mod_jk.so version 1.2.9 introduced the shared memory for the workers, which as far as I can is the main config change in the 2 versions of apache that came from HP.
    So rolled back to the old version of apache with the new version of tomcat - and everything works fine!

  • Setting host name for non-Apache webserver

    http://www.appdal.com is a website in my Snow Leopard Server. And I have non-Apache webserver running http://appdal.com:8080/ . I want to give host name 'pier' chaing the web host name settings of this
    But it is not working. What did I do something wrong?

    i want to setup a hostname 'pier', so i can use url 'pier.appdal.com' instead of 'appdal.com:8080'.
    Although the latter url works fine, but i don't want to foce my users to enter the :8080 .

  • Use apache webserver instead of oracle http server in EPM 11.1.20?

    Is it possible to configure enterprise performance management 11.1.20 with apache webserver instead of using the default oracle http server and if so, can someone point me to the instructions for how to set this up?

    Wow. You really need to keep going back to check the certification matrix, huh. The version I have shows that Apache is supported. Apparently that was deleted on 7/28.
    I don't think it should matter much, though, since Oracle HTTP server is Apache under the covers.I ran into this when I had to use the IBM HTTP web server, which is also Apache under the covers. when you look at httpd.conf, it looks just like Apache. So, I would guess that whatever configuration you did with the Apache web server you will also be able to do with the Oracle web server.

  • Where does OSR keep "WSDL Location" field in METAMODEL?

    I'm searching in OSR METAMODEL, the field "WSDL Location" but I don't find out in any table. I made a full data extraction , even the HUGEBLOB fields, but there isn't.
    Thanks

    Matthew,
    thanks for the quick reply but...
    I have not actually ripped a song so this info can not be in the song file.
    Here is what i have going :
    I put in the CD and I have titled each track to give it a descriptive name and
    further added comments to the comments fields.
    I eject the CD.
    When I insert the CD again, all this info shows there again, it's like
    iTunes just knows it's this CD and what the song titles are etc.
    So this song title and commments info couldn't be part of the song file because the songs are still on the CD and iTunes can't make a change on the CD, it's a commercial write protected CD, know what I mean?
    Also, the song title and comments info isn't kept in the "iTunes Music Library.xml" because iTunes shows song titles and comments that are
    not in this file when I search in it with TextEdit. This is making me nuts!

  • Setting WebService object's wsdl location dynamically

    I have written a flex app that speaks to a webservice.
    Everything works fine, but the wsdl location is hardcoded to a
    developer machine.
    In java I could define a system property, or create a
    properties file to read.
    Is there a preferred way for solving this in
    Flex/Actionscript?
    Reading a properties file? A system preference (if there is
    such a thing in flex)? Can I have the html wrapper pass in it's
    href and code some conditional logic? If anyone could help it would
    me much appreciated.

    We use an xml file on our server for externalized urls and
    other items.
    At startup we construct the url based on where the flex
    application was served from. (the url property of the application)
    So if were served from
    http://myServer:9090/MyApp/myFlexApp.htmp
    we build the url
    http://myServer:9090/MyApp/appParms.xml
    We then use UrlLoader to load the xml.
    Note that because of sandbox issues the parm file must be in
    the same domain as the Flex Application.

  • Issue in loading images from Apache webserver in JSF image tags on WLS 10

    I have configured the apache webserver2.0 for passing on the request to weblogic 10.0. I have images in apache webserver. In my application on weblogic i am using JSF f. In JSF for <h:graphics> tag i am not able to load images from apache webserver. issue we found out that it prepend a context url on it.
              pls provide if u have any solution for it.
              Edited by neerajr at 11/16/2007 3:33 PM

    Hi, Neeraj,
              Are you actually telling <h:graphicImage>? As per html_basic.tld, the "uri" attribute is context-relative.
              Using "value" attribute instead of "url" attribute may be helpful. Something like
              <h:graphicImage id="fooImage" value="http://www.foosite.com/image/foo.jpg"/>
              This should work on WLS10.0 if you are using the JSF library bundled in it.
              Thanks,
              -Fred.

  • Problem with https WSDL locations

    I am trying to import WSDL with https in the PartnerLink and get errors saying can't recognize the WSDL. WSDL locations with http work fine.
    Both the WSDLs used to work fine before the network upgrade.
    I had to tweak the obsetenv.bat for the proxy server setting as detailed in the TechNote #3 to get the http WSDL to work. Is there something else I should do for https ?
    Thanks

    yes you need to configre the jvm for jdev/and later bpel with the keystore and certificate ..
    if you want to have it easier - use your browser, download the wsdl and save it locally .. into the project ..
    for the runtime, you will still need to add the certificate into the keystore of the jvm used..

  • Webmin System and Server Status : shows Apache Webserver as 'Down' ?

    Hi guys, I'm currently going through setting up my home server with Arch (first time Arch user).
    I have apache installed alongside webmin.
    In the 'System and Server Status' I am setting up some alerts and monitors but have noticed that 'Apache Webserver' is showing as down (it clearly isn't because I am viewing webmin from work, and I have SSH'd in to restart apache with success a few times). Also the module is not listed under 'Servers' - instead it is displayed under 'Unused modules' ??
    Just wondering if there is something different with Arch that I need to point webmin to so it recognises Apache?
    [ Also, same thing is happening with SSH being detected as down although it is working kind of - I believe my port-forward isn't working as I can only SSH to my desktop then to my server, not from web to server ]
    Thanks for any help/advice

    Hey just wondering if anybody has any ideas about this?
    I managed to get the module showing up under 'Servers' but I still cannot figure out why both SSH and Apache are showing as 'Down' when they are clearly not
