Console shows errors of dock.agent very often
Hi!
From time to time I'm checking the console for error alerts.
Lately I found errors like the following a bunch of times:

These are the messages of today, but they appear all the time!
I already tried:
1. Repairing disk permissions
2. Installing the Combo-update
3. Deleting the plist of com.apple.Dock.agent
Didn't change anything!
Can anybody tell me, what kind of error this is and how I could probably solve it.

There's a icon on the dock that is displaying run-time information in it, like a mini-window. But it requests for more information are passing in-correct arguments to the system's graphic's WindowServer causing errors.
If you added some icon(s) to the dock, is it (are) displaying run-time info?
If so, just drag it to the desktop & remove it.
If not then did you upgrade Leopard to Snow Leopard?

lately my dock has been freezing all of a sudden
and this happens quite often now
when the dock freezes and I try to use functions such as dashboard and those F7,8,9,10,11,12 features it doesnt work
and then when I try to restart or shut down
it wont because the dock is frozen
what should I do?I'm having the same problem on my new iMac 6.1 . The dock and the finder are freezing so often that it brings back memories of using the paperclip to restart. This is very frustrating and a huge inconvenience. I've pulled out 3rd party programs, switched to the most basic screensavers that came with the computer, and I've repaired permissions numerous times, but there's never anything to be fixed. It's a long wait for Leopard when you have this to deal with almost daily. I will try the suggested fix and see what happens. I just wanted to add my situation to anyone else's that might be similar. I can't wait for the new operating system to be released. This one was wonderful up until May or June 2007. (I am not having these problems with the iBook, but I haven't used it that much since I bought the iMac 6.1, which is at least much faster than my 3 yr. old iBook G4. )

While am starting the ADFServer through console

Hyperion Configuration Console (CMC ) doesn't show all of our agents

We have a Hyperion app. using 4 server. Every server runs different part of Hyperion components. According to the "WORKSPACE - Administrator’s Guide" the CMC console shows every agent which registered into Shared Services. But in our CMC window I just see the workspace's server agent.
I started the agents and UI on every server.
Could you help me how should the CMC works? If its require further configuration, how can I do it?

I regenerate metadata, reassign siteID and did transaction table again, but still no messages in inbound queue.

thank you very much for your help and fast reply. I uninstall .NET 1.1 on client side (I had both .NET 1.1 and 2.0). Now I can run Conntrans. When I try synchronizaiton, it wrote "initializing transfer process" and after few second Conntrans fell down. In log is no error - everything have succeeded. I include ending part of log. In Client console inbound queue is the same.

After I applied note 1071267 on Client 6.0 SP02 I could not run Client Console. When I run it, I got "Failed to load control sbtstatus. Your version may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application". Conntrans after fix I can run, but it is the same as above - it will fell down after few second of synchronization.
My version of librfc32.dll is newer, so I did not applied note 1074669.
I will try to uninstall client side and apply note again to clean installation if it helps.

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?
I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.

Very often I get a contact error message when I try to us my contact list to send an e mail. If I use internet exployer I don't have a problem, so it can't be a problem with aol..

I have a iMac 21.5", with cordless mouse, very often it shows "not-connected" or "connected", at its will, we can't do anything. Changed the battery, no improvement. Now fixed another wired mouse to the system to work. My wire less keyboard working well
Make the device a favorite.
Also, I would reset the PRAM and SMC.

Getting error while running Agent in obiee 11g
Hi,
We are using external table authentication in our application. We created 10 user in the table, when we are logging to the application we are able to log in.
After log in when we are creating Agent and click on run, it is showing error as [nQSError: 13024] Successful completion of init block 'security1' is required. (08004)
Security1 is our initialization block for authentication. But when I create one user in console and give admin priviledges to that user and try to run same agent, it is running fine.
Please let me know if I miss something or anything else need to configure.

Oracle BI Scheduler initiates an Agent by logging on to Oracle BI Presentation Services with the Oracle Business Intelligence administrative name and password.
For Delivers to work, all database authentication must be performed in only one connection pool, and that connection pool can only be selected in an initialization block for the USER system session variable. This is typically called the Authentication Initialization Block. When impersonation is used, this initialization block is skipped. All other initialization blocks must use connection pools that do not use database authentication.

During switchover operation in IE shows error "503 Service Unavailable".

I have installed Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.2) on Windows 2003 server service pack 2.Everything works fine, but when I go for switchover/failover operation firstly error comes as “500 Internal Server Error” and then after refreshing the page “503 Service Unavailable”. Following are the logs.
I applied the patch Grid Control Release 3 (10.2.0.3.0), but still same error occurs.
Both database status is up and EM console home shows 100% up.

My MacBook Pro gets very slow while doing work like watching movies and using net .. video gets lag very often and while surffing on net it gets very slow ...
First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
Otherwise, take the steps below when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in and Writes out.)
Step 2
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long. -
OfficeJet 8600 Pro: WiFi connection severed very often / Printer cannot reconnect
Hi there,
My printer´s connection to my wireless network is severed very often so I can´t use network print, scan and HP ePrint service. When I try to reconnect, the printer shows an error message. I printed a diagnosis page showing an error:
settings -> no filtering -> error (I´m a German user and translated that headword from German into English, maybe it´s not translated properly).
I tried following:
-checked if router firmware is latest: it is!
-checked if printer firmware is latest: couldn´t find the option but it installed one update when I set up the printer first time in November
-restarted router and made a reset of printer network settings: once it helped, now id did not
I just now took a look on my printer and saw it suddenly was connected to my network. Although I think it´s a question of time till next connection abort.
My OS is Windows 8 with latest updates installed. My router is a model of a leading German router manufacturer (AVM Fritzbox).
I hope HP will publish a firmware udate to fix that annoying bug. I can´t believe it´s a problem of my router because all my computers don´t experience connection aborts.

There are several factors that can cause your printer to lose its wireless connection, including, but not limited to:
The network connection is no longer active, or has a low signal strength.
The HP product goes into Sleep Mode or Standby Mode.
The HP product is moved out of range of the wireless router.
