Constantly Freezing and taking an hour to restart

I can't check the memory before and after a battery pull because it's the reset that I'm having problems with.
Basically, my phone freezes at least 6/7 times a day, just doing stupid things like loading facebook it'll just cut off completely, and when I leave it it either goes to an error page, or just stays like that for the next half hour or so, until I get annoyed and pull the battery. Lately it's started taking longer and longer to reset after pulling the battery. Yesterday it took me 3/4 of an hour to get it to load, and then it froze again straight away, then it loaded within about half an hour after. Today it took closer to an hour to load up again, it got stuck half way up the loading bar and just stayed there, and just as I was about to try pulling the battery it started moving again. It's really doing my head in and I'm really starting to regret getting this phone now purely because it spends more time loading than it does working.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Obviously your 9300 is messed up with something... my initial guess it that it is some third party application or theme you have might have installed. Deleting ALL third party apps would be a place to start... and see if these issues continue.
You can also upgrade the operating system to the latest official release 5.0.0.977, but there is also an OS6 version upgrade you can do.
For now, I'd recommend the OS 5.0.0.977.

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

    I have spent the last month trying to get my iPad 2 running like it did before 8.0 and 8.1. Finally chatted with Apple support for two hours trying many things. Then I  followed their instructions to do a full factory reset, reinstalled all my apps, and recreated all of my email accounts.
    Nothing, nothing, nothing worked! My iPad still runs crappy and web browsing (on any browser) was still tortuously slow and choppy.
    Then I tried this..... I put the iPad on a shelf,  went out and bought a Surface Pro 3. Now my tablet is running with lightning speed with an abundance of apps, and the user interface is performing great!

    rcvd my upgrade to 3.26 last night, now my phone constantly freezes and all my contacts are gone. 
    Any solution out there? (unfortunately I did not have backup assistant turned on)

    Glad to hear you were able to resolve the freezing issue on your DROID Incredible!  I would be happy to see if we can restore your contacts.
    I know you mentioned you didn't have an active Backup Assistant account at the time of the update, however, did you have a Google account setup on your device prior to the update?  If so, check on www.gmail.com to see if your contacts are backed up in the "Contacts" section.  If they are you can just readd the Google account to your device and enable the "Sync Contacts", and all of your contacts will be synced back to your device.
    I trust I have answered your question, and have addressed your concerns.

  • Upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1 for Mac, constantly freezes and crashes, have to force quit, bad bugs. Switching to Safari.

    I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1, and it now constantly freezes, won't respond at all, and has to be force quit and restarted. Within less than 5 minutes of use, over and over and over... I'm assuming it is a bug in the Mac version.... Am switching to Safari as I can't waste this much time constantly quitting and restarting and getting my tabs all back up. Any suggestions on ways to let Firefox know about the bug would be greatly appreciated. It worked fine until I upgraded :( Am running Mac OS X 10.6.7

  • How do I get an iMac to automatically restart when screen freezes and computer has to be restarted at plug

    Occasionally the screen on the Imac will freeze and the compute has to be restarted at the plug, but when the plug is switched back on the computer only switches back on fully with the screen coming on if you switch a button around the back of the computer, but I remember when using an iMac G4 it would come on automatically when th computer was switched on at the plug. Is there any setting or any software that will automatically restart the computer when the computer is off and I restart it at the plug?

    You cannot, what you need to do is find out why your computer is freezing. Perhaps you can shed some light by posting an EtreCheck report and we can see how your system is configured and look for any obvious red flags. You can get EtreCheck by clicking http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

    i have a mac book pro which i bought in 2010 and has a core 2 duo processor. after i installed lion on it, my mac keeps on hanging. i have to shut it down then, and then to  restart, it takes at least 40 minutes. yesterday, it took 1 hour to restart. my software is up to date and i don't run any heavy applications. please help.

    If you up the logging level to Information or Debug you should see something like this in the Mail.log: "NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from . . . . 450 . . . . Recipient address rejected: Service is unavailable:"
    Greylisting is enabled by default as soon as you start the Mail Service. Any legitimate mail server will try and send again to your domain. Spammers will give up and move onto an easier target.

  • Constantly freezing and having to reset frequnetly

    i use my ipod on random all the time, and it plays through my entire playlist, which is about 1600 songs. if i find myself clicking the next button frequently it will freeze. sometimes when i just click any button once it freezes. all i have to do is restart it but that gets aggravating. any solutions?

    My mac does the same thing constantly. It freezes on almost every program I use. Internet and Itunes are the programs that freeze the most. I am at college and do not have the start up disk with me, which I guess poses a problem. It never froze up like this when I first got it about two years ago but now I can't go one day without it freezing. I have looked all over the internet for some explanation on why it does this and possibly ways to fix it and have found absolutely nothing. I hope that this gives enough info on what my computer does and if there is any other info I may have left out please ask, I will respond immediately.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    You sound like an Apple support guy who hasn't been able to answer my questions.
    To respond to some of the points you made,
    - I did not ignore Ocean20's suggestion. If you has read my post, you would have known that I took my phone to the apple service centre where they tried this restore on THEIR machines. I am assuming that Apple guys know how not to block iTunes. So I actually do not understand your point about me trying the hosts file changes on my machine. Do you not believe that apple tested this issue with the correct settings?
    - you also give a flawed logic of why the issue is a hardware issue. You mentioned that If I thought that the issue was with the software, i should try a restore and getting it to work. The problem is that my error (23), and many others comes up when the restore fails. And you would be astonished to know that not all errors are hardware errors. Sometimes even software errors prevent restores. Funnily enough Apple itself mention that 'in rare cases, error 23 could be hardware related'.
    - all Apple has done so far is replicate the issue. I don not know how anyone can conclude that the issue is a hardware issue.
    And by the way, I am not certain that this is a software bug. Again if you read my Posts, you will notice I only want a confirmation,/proof that the issue is hardware related as they mention..
    Please refrain do. Responding if there is nothing to add.

    i'm on windows7. I recently updated itunes to a later version an i have been hassling with freezing "not responding" ever since. I have also linked my itunes to my old Account whih was set up while i was in a different country. I have been trying to create a new account linked with my new location, but Itunes keeps freezing whenever i try to sign out of my existing account. any idea on what would be causing this and how can i sort it out?

    I then load the recovery partition by holding down the option key immediately after pressing the power button.  Macintosh HD, the windows partition, and recovery HD pop up, I select recovery, then go into Disk utility. Then the Windows partition is in the top left, I select that, and repair disk, however the repair disk option is not accessable. The only option is verify disk. Repair disk is not available!!
