Contact app no longer gives option to send text or email, why

On my iphone 4s when it press my contact app and it gives me a list of my contacts and I select one I used to be able to hit send message and it would give the option of either sending it to email or sending it to iphone. It no longer does this. Anyone know why?

I am frustrated by the same problem. I have been using OSx since the beginning. And, all that time, through every interation, by double-clicking on an entry in the Address panel, I was able to bring up a new mail compose window and have the address entered in the To: line.
No more. In Mavericks a new compose window does indeed come up when an address is double-clicked, but the adress does not get entered on the "To" line. I have to click the "To" button (on the address panel), an extra operation.
If someone knows how to restore the original sleek functionality of having the address moved, please tell me.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account (and you've checked the spam folder on that account and tried clicking the reset link again) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset then if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

All of a sudden I cannot respond or send texts or emails.

Hi my iPhone has just started sending texts from email account. This only happens when the text is sent to other iPhone users. Weirdly it jumps between normal text address and back to email. Any ideas?

When I turn iMessage off, it sends from my phone number. When I turn it back on and check the caller ID, it has my phone number checked, however, when I start texting again, people are still receiving the messages from my email. Any advice?

ITunes 8.1 no longer gives option to skip adding duplicate songs to iPod

When I begin to add songs to my iPod or a playlist, I've noticed that iTunes 8.1 no longer gives me the option (through a small pop-up window) to skip transferring any songs that already exist on that iPod or playlist.
This was a great feature: I could drag a whole set of songs and rely on iTunes to weed out any songs from the transfer that would cause duplicates on my iPod or a new playlist.
The option said something like you are about to add duplicates and allowed me to select "Skip" or "Add".
I can't find this option in Preferences. Has anyone been able to re-enable this?

I have this same problem. Did you find the solution? I sat here and played on iTunes for about 3 hours. I even tried uninstalling and installing it. Nothing works for me.

HTC Thunderbolt - no longer an option to send a picture via text?

Why can't I send a picture from the internet via text anymore? I have a Thunderbolt (hold the laughter, please! ) and I used to be able to touch and hold an online picture to bring up a menu that had a "send via messages" option. It seems that with the Ice Cream Sandwich "update" we just got, this is no longer an option. Is there another way to do this that I'm missing?

In Chrome, the options are: save, open, open image in new tab.
Firefox has a "share image" option, but the menu no longer incluides the "via Messages" option.
In the default browser, there's an option to link to the picture and send that. However, it used to just drop the picture in the message so that the recipient wouldn't have to open a new link.

How do you reset or find your security question answers? I dont have the option to send a rescue email in manage your account, and i cant find a fix! I have tried so many things.!! Help this is annoying because i cant get anything from the appstore

I created security questions when i first created my apple ID - however the security questions they keep asking aren't the ones i filled out so i don't know the answers.

When I send a group email why does the address bar not present the names alphabetically?

I frequently send emails to groups. Sometimes, for one reason or another, I want to delete one or more contacts from the list that appears in the address bar. Why does the list not appear in alphabetical order and is there any way that I can edit my contact lists to make it do so? It means picking through a list one by one rather than scrolling down a list to find a contact in the correct order.

Basically I suggest you keep using Eudora.
Like most of those moving now, they are unlikely to be happy with anything else. But then that is to be expected, you have clung to abondonware for 5+ years after it's replacement. People that dedicated are unlikely to be happy with anything else.
The Business standard and professionalism are not based on the Eudora way of things. I suggest you stick undisclosed-recipients: into a google search box and get instructions on how to do things for all the major mail clients.
Of note Thunderbird displays nothing in the To field, even though the undisclosed-recipients: is inserted in the outgoing mail.

I am interested however how when you added a list so it appears on multiple lines. All I see is he list name until after I press the send button and look at it in the sent folder.
Most people use another address entirely in the to:, in conjunction with the BCC list. It verifies the list mail is sent by coming back and you can put whatever you like in the display name of the email address.

Iphoto not sending text in email mode

Was trying to send a letter to a landscaper with 8 pictures from my yard. Chose the photos, pressed share, chose journal mode, put in the text next to the photos and pressed send. Got a message that the email would be sent with out the text boxes. Why on earth did that happen and what can I do to get it to send my text with the photos??

One option woudl be to choose Apple mail in the iPhoto preferences and use it

Phone wont send text msg's why?

Just wondering if anybody knows why my Nokia 6110 wont send texts it will recieve texts and allows me to call, i have checked the msg centre number i have updated the newest version of software, i have restored my factory setting, i'm not sure what else to do can anyone help? it's been like this for about 3 weeks now.

ive had the same problem with my nokia 6110.im with virgin and they tried to reset all the settings,even sent me out a new sim card and still wouldnt work.Sent it off to Nokia for repair and after waiting 4WEEKS!!! to get it back,it was working fine.It seemed that all they did was a upgrade.A mth later,it happens again but this time i called Virgin and demanded a new phone.I received a 6210 NAV and after 6 mths of having this one,its doing the same thing grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.Still dont really know what the problem is but youre not alone

Curve doesn't give option to send when trying to text a new person not in my contact list.

Before, I could "compose text message" and type in a new phone number. Now my 8920curve won't offer the "send" optoin. When I press the blackberry button for menu, it starts with"schedule conference", then "switch application" then "open" and many more "close" being the last. Where is the old menu offering to send?

THanks but, what enter button. That doesn't come up on the menu and there isn't an enter button I know of. There used to be a menu, after hitting the menu button offering send. Something has changed in my settings. How do I access the setting for texting?

Installed Mavericks and now the contact app no longer allows addressed to be copied, dragged or any mode of movement to the email.

I installed Mavericks this morning. When using email within Mac I use the contact list and double click on a
list. Today, I can no longer use that. The addresses do not move. I tried the icon on the task bar.
That is essentially the same.
What good is the address book if it will not allow the addresses to be accessed. Other than typing
the first letter of each person I am mailing to. That's just ridiculous.
Also when I go on the internet, I lose one quarter of the page to needless book marks, or reading lest or shared links.
They used to be on the task bar, out of sight. Now I have to have one big blob removed from my viewing screen.
All this after 5 minutes of Mavericks. I am thinking of going back to Moutain Lion if I can.

Clicking on Safari no longer gives option to open new windows

Hi,
Snow Leopard is fast for me and has given me back 11 Gigs of space so I'm delighted .
However, in Leopard - if you wanted a new safari window while another was already opened, all you had to do was keep the safari logo clicked, and in the options that came up, you would click on New Window"
This option no longer exists - is there anyway to force it back?
You can still press cmd and N to get a new wndow but the old option was nice.

Tom ~ You can still get the options (which include New Window) to pop up from Safari's Dock icon by doing one of the following:
• Right click
• Control click
• Two-finger tap (if configured for "secondary click" in trackpad System Prefs)
