Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Given your very brief description, I've no real idea exactly what you are attempting, nor with what. So, I'll just go to the beginning...please see this KB for instructions as to how to export your contacts to a CSV file, which Excel can then import:
KB24488 How to export contacts from a BlackBerry smartphone using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6
Note that this requires the V6 level of the RIM Desktop Software...that function was removed starting with V7. If you don't have V6, then you can obtain it here:

Otherwise, please expand your problem description so that we can understand your situation.
Good luck!

Issue while exporting report in Excel Format
Hello,
I am facing problem while exporting the report in Excel Format. After analysis, I think that it could be due to two reasons, either we are using wrong versions of Jars, or we are using wrong API. Here is the code, approaches and problems we are facing. Please help.
First approach we are using is:
// using basic API
import com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk.ReportClientDocument;
// get client document from crystal report API and open the report by specifying the report name, with path
ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
reportClientDoc.open( reportPath, 0 );
// give chance to extending classes to configure the report document by POJO or by sql parameter etc, just adding the parameters infromation using ParameterFieldController
configureReportDocument( reportClientDoc, reportMetadata, reportData, reportContext );
// get data source of crystal report
Object reportSource = reportClientDoc.getReportSource();
// export the data - we have also tried with MSExcel format
ReportExportFormat exportFormat = ReportExportFormat.recordToMSExcel;
LOGGER.debug( "exportFormat[" + exportFormat + "]" );
ByteArrayInputStream byteArray = (ByteArrayInputStream) reportClientDoc.getPrintOutputController().export(
exportFormat );
Problem Faced: Specified Excel format is not supported.
Second Approach: We come to know that excel format is supported with new releases and with occa package.
Then we tried with import com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument; It ask to set the ReportServer. When we are trying to set the server as
reportClientDoc.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
Application is unable to find 'ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString' property. It seems like we are using some old jars. However we have downloaded the latest released jars for eclipse 2.
Please help for it. Issue is to export the report in excel format, which is currently working fine for PDF. If this problem is related to Jars, please suggest the path to download the latest jars. We also looking for the latest jars like rasapp and rascore etc. But these are not available with Crystal Report for Eclipse 2 release.
Waiting for urgent help. Thanks you..

Crystal reports 13.5 : Export to excel formatting
Hi. We are developing web application using VS 2010. We are using crystal reports 13. Initially we had VB6 application which used crystal reports 8.5. The format for excel report generated by crystal report 8.5 and crystal report 13.5 is different. We are using the export option in crystal report viewer for both reports. Is there any way in which we could make changes to crystal reports 13.5 to achieve similar excel formatting as crystal reports 8.5.
Hi Pooja,
Back in CR 8.5, it was the RDC COm SDK (CRAXDRT.dll) and with CR for VS 2010 it is .NET SDK which are two complete different SDKs and could not be compared.
However, the .NET SDK should export the report same as it is exported through CR designer.
Could you export the report in a newer designer possibly CR 2008 or CR 2011/2013 and compare the exported output with your .NET SDK export?
You could get the trial free download for CR desiner here.

WAD report export to excel formatting not preserved
Hi,
when i export BI 7.1 WAD template to excel and copy to another excel sheet cell formatting changes.color formatting is
not preserved when we copy to another excel sheet.I tried resetting the "preserve visual appearance of workbook" to the
exported excel sheet, but this didnot work.I am using excel 2007.
Can anyone tell me how to preserve the excel formatting for WAD template.
Thanks,
HarshaHi Roy
Have you got the report set to bring back a specific number of rows at a time (ie retrieve data incrementally in sets of : setting in options)?
If so set this to a larger number of rows, Discoverer will then return all data when the reports is run and will export all data to the spreadsheet.
Hope this helps

Need to export OBIEE report in native excel format
Dear All,
Apologies if this issue has been discussed earlier in this forum. I am posting this afresh since I could not find a proper thread pertaining to this problem.
Here is a snapshot of my issue:-
While exporting a report in excel this exports this in mhtml format instead of native excel. As a result, the generated files are way bigger than expected and every day we are receiving multiple complaints from the end users. We tried to fix this by changing the messages files as mentioned in few blogs but could not make this work. Our current reporting system is on 11.1.1.6.
In some of the online blogs I read that this issue is supposed to be resolved in 11.1.1.7. Can any one please confirm if this is indeed the case? Also, if any one can advise of any other resolutions it would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance.
RegardsVbez1,
Thanks for your response.
The way we are working at the moment is :-
1. Ask users to download in .csv if they just need raw data
2. While storing/sending the .xls files we have asked them to save the file as a excel workbook
However no workaround could be achieved for the reports sent as excels by agents(clogging spaced in user's mailboxes) or actual download volume of the formatted excel reports (excel taking an awfully long time to open the files).
As you mentioned, I heard that this issue was fixed on 11.1.1.7. Since this version is released for more than a quarter now, I wondered if someone out there can confirm that this has happened really.

Hi all,
We are in process of moving from SAP Business Objects to Oracle BI EE and now the question is:

Historical Report - export report in excel format
Hi,
We are on UCCX 8.0 (SU2). We have an issue with Historical when we tried to export report in excel format, the report does not display in correct column. It's very confusing. We could manually correct (rearrange) the column label but it take lots of time as we have so many reports.
Is there anyway to fix this issue? Does anyone experience the same issue with Historical Report?
I attached the pictures for example.
Thanks,This type of behavior is a bug. I took a look in the bug toolkit and there are several defects filed against the Agent Summary report in 8.0 but not one that matches this behavior. I would venture a guess that a DE was sloppy when fixing another bug and introduced this on us.
You should open a TAC case on this. It is also possible that this defect already exists but is not public in the toolkit yet. -
Exporting report to Excel format
We try to implement automated export to Excel Format but Crystal Report XI Java runtime doesnu2019t support export to Excel Format but pdf.
Do I need to migrate to Crystal Report Eclipse 2.0 for exporting report in Excel format?
Or I can deploy the Crystal Report Eclipse 2.0 Java runtime only for exporting to Excel Format?As I know, you can easily export the data from an MS Access Report to Excel, but it's really hard to get the formats exported along with the data, or just not doable at all.
Please see these links:

Also, keep in mind...it's easy to export the data from a report to Excel. You can certainly setup Excel as a template, which has all the formatting applied and just sits on your disk drive...somewhere...waiting for you to dump new data into it from
a new report...whenever you need it.
Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it. -

Hello,
I would like to schedule with an agent some reports in OBIEE 11g that must be exported in excel format to a specific local directory.
There is a need for a group of OBIEE users to have a set of reports ready (exported in .xlsx) every morning.
Furthermore, if the previous scenario is possible then could I deliver a whole OBIEE Dashboard with the same way?
Any input will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.Hi,
As of now , we are not able to save the report in shared location in Linux /Unix.
Windows it is possible.

Exporting large report to Excel format (90K lines)
Hi,
I am trying to export a 90K line report to excel format and I get that error messsage:
<!-- Fichier de configuration Web.Config -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
<!-- Fichier de configuration Web.Config -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
I believe it is a timeout problem. Any idea how work around this?
Thanks,I don't have the right to create reports. With those datas, I need grouping them filtering them, commenting them, creating TCD and distributing it. I believe it is easier exporting it and handle it. Also I don't want the data changing from day to day.
Then you are foobar'ed.
there is nothing more you can do it the SSRS export feature is not working for you, and you don't have access to the CM12 db and you can't create report. There are no other option to access the data.

Change in report format after exporting from pdf format to excel format.
Hi,
I got a problem while exporting the pdf format of the Report to Excel format "Fully-Foramtted Grids and Texts".
The format gets automatically changed.
Is there any solution to this problem.Can you give some more details?
Which version are you using (and which patch level - if any).
Also what formatting is default on the reports and what is the default format in excel.
What exactly is different between PDF and excel?
Another possibility is that font substitution is going on?? -
Reports exported to Excel - Formatting issues
We have two Business Objects Enterprise servers (boxi r2 and boxi r3.1 sp3) running side by side. We find that reports created using boxi r2 and exported to Excel format look fine. When we run the same report and export to excel using boxi r3.1 sp3, we encounter the following formatting issues:
<ol>
<li>All columns do not fit on pages. The last 2 to 3 columns spill over onto extra pages.</li>
<li>There are some columns where most of the values are blank, but when a row is exported that has a value in that column, all subsequent column positions for that row shift.</li>
<li>All rows do not fit on page. The last two rows flow onto a new page, then there seems to be a page break.</li>
<li>On some reports dates are displayed as ######.</li>
<li>On some reports column headings are not centered.</li>
<li>I would appreciate any input that would help us determine a fix for the formatting issues we are encountering.</li>
</ol>
The report is executed using CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.
Here is the code from the application that does the export:
ExportOptions exportOptions = new ExportOptions();
exportOptions.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.Excel;
exportOptions.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile;
DiskFileDestinationOptions diskOptions = new DiskFileDestinationOptions();
diskOptions.DiskFileName = filename + ".xls";;
exportOptions.ExportDestinationOptions = diskOptions;
ExcelFormatOptions XLOptions = new ExcelFormatOptions();
XLOptions.ExportPageBreaksForEachPage = true;
XLOptions.ExportPageHeadersAndFooters = ExportPageAreaKind.OnEachPage;
exportOptions.ExportFormatOptions = XLOptions;
rptDoc.Export(exportOptions);
Please note the following details about our environment:
<h5>Report Designers:</h5>CR Designer version: xi Rel 2
<h5>Developer environment</h5>Has the following installed:
- Business Objects Enterprise XI Release 2
- VS .Net 2008
- Crystal reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008

- Business Objects Enterprise XI Release 2
- Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP3
- Crystal Reports XI Release 2 .Net 2005 Server

- .Net Version: 2.0Umm, the code you provided has nothing to do with Business Objects Enterprise...(?). So, I'm a bit confused by the mention of BOE and "The report is executed using CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine" in essentially one paragraph.
Can you pls explain?

30EA3: UNLOAD. No longer able to export Excel format to clipboard
Hi,
I have a little gripe about the new unload functionality.
In SQL Dev 2, it was possible to export(unload) the datagrid to the clipboard in excel format.
In SQL Dev 3EA3, this now gives the message "Saving as Clipboard is not supported for unlaoding data that is formatted as xls".
Can somebody in the dev team explain this retrogade step?
What possible reason could you have for introducing extra steps into a developer's workflow.
Previously, if you had a target worksheet already open, all you had to do was
1. right click on datagrid
2. select export to clipboard in excel format.
3. switch to excel
4. paste into excel
Now, even if you have the target excel worksheet open, you have to
1. right click on datagrid
2. select export to excel format.
3. specify a filename, ie a file that will be created for no other purpose than the temporary export you are doing
4. switch to excel
5. open your newly created, effectively temporary, excel file
6. copy contents
7. paste contents into your target excel worksheet
It's hardly progress, is it?
Can the export to clipboard in excel format be reinstated please?
regards
PaulWell actually if all you want to do is copying the currently displayed data to excel you do not need the export/unload functionality at all.
Just do
1. Ctrl-A with focus in the data grid.
2. Ctrl-C or Ctrl-Shift-C if you want headers.
3. Switch to excel.
4. Ctrl-Vthe only thing that is not copied this way is the SQL you are using, but i suppose you will not need this in excel.
