Continuous binary save then convert to spreadsheet

Hello,
I'm trying to continuously save time stamps to a binary file on every iteration of a while loop, and then when the code is stopped I would like that file to be converter to a csv file.  I'm having trouble implementing this, could someone point out where I'm going wrong, thanks!

Check out:  How can I write and read binary files
"prepend array or string size" needs to be = TRUE on the binary write.
I'm not sure why you want to save as a single element 2D array.  Attached is a simplified version.

  • Do I still have to save the PDF first in my file then retrieve it in Adobe and then convert?

When I receive a document do I first have to save it in my computer then go into abobe, then load it in there and then convert to a doc?

    Hello,
    1) Launch Adobe Reader X
    2) Click on "Edit" on Meu Bar and click on "Preferences"
    3) Go to the option "Internet" from left hand list
    4) Make sure "Display PDF in Browser is checked"
    5) Save the changes and close Reader X

Then try to view any PDF in browser.

  • How can I add three binary numbers and then convert to string (Hex format)?

    Hi All,
I have my problem "half" resolved, but need some assistance on the final piece.  Overall, I need to take three string values (hex format), convert them to binary, add them and then convert back to a string (hex format).  If that doesn't make sense maybe this will:
Final Result (My target) = 0xCC
     = 0x03 + 0x01 + 0x04
              = 0x03; 0011b
              = 0x01; 0001b
              = 0x04; 0100b
For my app, we are dropping "masking" some of the bits so that we get 1 byte:
              = 0x03; 11b
              = 0x01; 001b
              = 0x04; 100b
    So...
    11001100b = 0xCC
In my VI, I am taking each initial string [0x03,0x01 and 0x04] type casting them to U8.  Next I need to "mask" the binary values as shown above and then add them.  I am not sure how to do this in LV??
    Thanks for the help,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,
there's a conversion palette in the string palette, ever looked at those functions?
The rest is pure simple math:
It's the straight-forward way, there are other possibilities too!

  • How can I convert a 680x480x2 array of values into binary and then joining adjacent elements to make a 640x480 array?

I am obtaining data from a camera and getting 10-bit data in Labview. I want to convert the element values to binary and then join adjacent elements to create an array half the size of the original.

    Hi cowboy,
well 640×480 is not exactly half of 680×480×2...
    - You have to read the specs of your camera. Then you should know how to combine the values.
    - When you get 10bit values you probably need I16 datatype to store the values. Unless you also decrease the color resolution to 8 bit you are still stuck to 640×480×2 byte per image...
    - To join numbers you should have a look at the numerics->data manipulation function palette

  • How do you save your DVD to your Hard Drive, and then convert to iPod?

Hello everyone, I was wondering how you save your DVD to your hard drive and then convert it to the iPod Video.
    Please respond.
    P.S.
I know that it's been discussed all the time, but none of the posts are useful for me.

    Hi,
The best option is to pull the card out and plug to your computer UNLESS your computer does not have a card reader. If your computer did not have a card reader, you need to map the cardreader on your printer to your network using the following method:

  • Why does the autosave continue to save an unchanged project?

I appreciate the "autosave" feature because I'm frequently so deep in a project that I forget to hit "save", but when I leave the project for a few hours with the window open then the project will continue to save the same unchanged file.  Am I creating needless duplications of the same "last saved" project?  And more importantly, will it eventually overwrite the earlier versions in the autosave folder?
I'm using an iMac, CS6 creative cloud.  Thank you for your help.

Auto saving at in opportune times irritates me ...and the "overwrite issue" mentioned above makes it kind of pointless.
(Danger is auto saving a corruption as well)
I trust myself to make enough regular "Save a Copys"  to not bother about Auto Saves now.
I start a Project. Set it up with assets etc.
Immediately Save a Copy  "BACKUP projectname_vers1"
I do that regularly ( as well as a save)  throughout  the edit process and I increment the version number every so often ands when appropriate.
The Project and the Backup Projects are saved to another drive using  Backup Software I run at the end of the day.

  • Read binary file and convert to readable text

I have a binary file which i want to read in and then convert it into readable text. How can i do this?

I have a binary file which i want to read in and then
convert it into readable text. How can i do this?Your question is a bit too vague to be answered. Here's an example -- suppose a file contains the bitstream 11011110101011011011111011101111. (just four bytes full of bits). If one 'converts' this bit stream using four byte big-endian integral values into a hexadecimal representation, the outcome would be 'deadbeef'. Using a little endian conversion, the outcome would be 'efbeadde'. All three text strings you're reading right now (the binary one, and both hexadecimal versions) are readable representations of the actual bitstream ... which one do you want?
OTOH, if you want to know what's stored in a .class file (this is a Java forum isn't it?), have a look at 'pjava'; it comes with your SDK.
    kind regards,
    Jos

  • I don't understand.  I use Google Docs to write letters & other forms, then convert them to PDFs using Adobe Acrobat.  If Forms Central closes, will I still be able to do this?

I don't understand.  I use Google Docs to write letters & other forms, then convert them to PDFs using Adobe Acrobat.  If Forms Central closes, will I still be able to do this?

Adobe also has Acrobat.com and there is DropBox.com. Adobe has also announced Adobe Document Cloud.
Forms central provide a subscription service for users with Reader to create simple forms. Apparently this did not meet a majority of users and with the minimal price difference for Acrobat and free web storage the users were better served without it. I expect cloud services will continue to emerge until providers better and more fully understand the user requirements.

    Hi WalterFranco,
When you convert your files using ExportPDF or Adobe PDF Pack, files are automatically saved to your online account. But, you can log on to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/files, select the file that you want to store on your hard disk, and then click the Download link at the top of the file list.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • PSE12: How to create gridlines on the image page then converted into a pdf? [was: N276]

I want to download an image from the internet, for example, batman, create gridlines on the image page then converted into a pdf.  where on adobe photo shop element 12 can I do this.

On way is to define a pattern:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/875370?tstart=0
Another way is this neat free grid generator filter:
    http://www.richardrosenman.com/software/downloads/
    1. Add a blank layer above the picture layer, fill with white, and set Blend Mode to Multiply.
    2. Apply the filter. There are many options. Here I chose black lines on white background with 20 square boxes across. Note that the background should be pure white (255,255,255) so as not to change the original picture.
You can also find lots of grid images on the Internet, for example a Google search on "grid" or "grid paper". As in the previous method, add this image above your picture and set its Blend Mode to Multiply.  Again, the background should be pure white.

  • How to save then quit excel using activeX

The task that I need to do is open existing excel file, append data to the last row, save data then close it. Everything works fine except saving the data. I used property workbook note to save then invoke node to close a workbook then invoke node to quit excel application. I watched and see that the data is written to the sheet but when I closed it, it is not saved.

Use Task Manager to check if Excel is still running.
I find that the programmatic close of Excel doesn't work. Excel is left
running until you actually quit either LabVIEW or the built app!
Side-effect: if you then launch Excel to view a document, the screen
    isn't redrawn right.

  • What product will allow me to place a watermark on a picture of a painting and then convert it to a PDF?

What product will allow me to place a watermark on a picture of one of my paintings, and then convert it to a PDF for use on my website?

    Photoshop, etc.
What you describe is trivial.  Practically any graphics software can do that.

You know that you lost the layers when you saved it as a jpeg, right? But you're saying you can't add layers to the jpeg now when it's open in the editor? Go to Image>mode and be sure it's RGB, for starters. Are all the commands in the Layer menu grayed out?

  • I have advised my icloud mail to NOT SAVE my sent messages.  However, it continues to SAVE ALL SENT MESSAGES.  How do I get it to stop saving them?

I want icloud to stop saving my SENT messages in my SENT folder.  I have NOT checked the SENT folder - but it continues to save the sent messages.  Alas, how to stop it?

The iTunes sync process does not include email account mailboxes and messages.
If the account is a POP account, all received messages tha remain on the server will be downloaded as new and unread messages. Messages in the account's Sent and Trash mailboxes will not be available since these mailboxes are not stored on the server with a POP account.
If the account is an IMAP account and you were storing the account's Sent and Deleted mailboxes on the server with the account settings on your iPhone, messages in all server stored mailboxes will be available again but must be re-downloaded which will occur when a server stored mailbox is selected.
Not sure why the apps in your iTunes library that were not selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and were not on your iPhone were selected and transferred, but the apps can be removed by deselecting the apps under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.

  • Downloading then converting FLAC files to Mac compatible formats

    Hi all...
I've been downloading music from archive.org and I always go for the mp3 files for one simple reason: I just don't know how to deal with the FLAC files. I've read dozens of posts here and still don't get it... so I live with the compressed mp3's. When I do try to access the FLAC's they appear in my Safari browser window through the Quicktime plug in. But how do I get them to my hard drive.... and then convert to one of the Mac compatible formats. The latter part seems pretty straightforward with the proper converter. But I can't seem to get my hands on the FLAC's themselves.
So.... 2 questions: getting the FLAC's on board and .... a user friendly converter.
    Thanks!

What kind of file is it really?
It's a FLAC file. FLAC is its own format just like mp3 or AAC. I don't know the details of what is going on with iTunes. Fluke is making iTunes do something it wasn't designed to do so it isn't too surprising that iTunes may not be able to identify the files correctly. Likewise, when you tried to open a FLAC file in a browser window that browser application contains a list of applications to try to use to open files of various formats, but that doesn't mean it will always work. I could tell my browser to open Excel spreadsheet files in iTunes, but that doesn't mean iTunes will be able to do that. Since FLAC is an audio format the browser probably is set to toss all audio files at Quicktime in the hopes it can open them. I don't know if FLAC plugins exist for browsers. I use VLC to play individual FLAC files, or COG if I have a bunch (both free). You ccould set up your browser to fire up VLC if you download a FLAC file.
