Control availability check during release of production order

friends,
Can you guys help me find the user exit/BADI which will allow me to control the release of production order after the availability check is complete.
In detail, the scenario is that : based on a flag on material master, I should be able to ignore this product's availability during release. I cannot change the availability check to "KP" ( No check) as this product can be sold seperately. So what I thought was that if I get to control the availability check during production order release I would be able to ignore this product before check or may be after check and before the status change.
I found PPCO0021 exit and function module EXIT_SAPLCOZR_003 which is actually intended for release control for automatic batch determination. I am not sure if I can use this.
Please let me know if you guys have any idea.
Thanks
Prod_Planner

Let me rephrase the scenario :
I have a production order for a product P1 which consumes raw materials R1 and R2. R1 is supplied by a nearby vendor every 1 hour to my plant so I do not need to worry about the availability of it when releasing the order but R2 availability should be taken into consideration. So, function 1 or 2 in OPJK will not work (as release need to be stopped if R2 not available) hence I will be using 3. If I use 3, R1 availability is also considered hence the whole order is not released. I will maintain a flag on material master so if R1 has flag, I need to ignore R1's availability but still considering R2.
As mentioned, I found PPCO---21 which could help me but need your help to understand if there is any other way.
Thanks

  • Error during release of production order - AFS Specific

    Hi SAP gurus,
Iam getting error during release of production order in AFS specific system during COHV transaction. Error is ''Error calling ATP server'' and message no is AG022. But when we read the PP master data then this error is cleared and production order is released.
    Thanks & Regards,

    hi
    1. When mass conversion of AFS planned order to production order is performed via COHV, the resulting production order does not contain the SKU details of the component.
    2. When a planned order is converted to a production order & an ATP is carried out on the production order, Message no.AG022 - 'An error occurred during Remote Function call on the ATP Server' is issued by the system.

  • PRT Availability check quantity information in production order

    Hi
Material PRT availability check is carried out in Production Order. This gives me the information like PRT is available or PRT is missing. It does not show how much is available or how much is missing like it shows for Material availability.
I understand that there may be the reason behind this.
But i want to know is it possible to get the quantity information also in the availability check of PRT in Production Order.

    HI
As per my knowledge Its not possible to check the quantity of PRT at the time of Production order....You will have to seperately check the same.

  • Availability check during production order creation - Missing parts details

    Hai Gurus,
I have one problem during Availability check when converting Planned order to production order.
    1) A- is the finished material, which has A1 to A7 components.
    2) A2 is the procured item with safety stock and it has safety stock also.
    3) When sale order is created , the material A2 is reserved against the planned order for finished material - A.
    4) so when availability is checked during planned order stage , system says no missing parts, when planned order
is converted to production order system says missing parts for component A2, which is stock and reserved against
         planned order
    5) Checking rule for Production order is maintained as follows,
         a) Include safety stock.
         b) Include reservation.
         c) Include sales requirement
         d) Include deliveries.
         e) Include dependent reservations.(x)
         f) Include production orders.(X)
         g) Check release for stock transport orders only.( A)
So now i don't know where I went wrong , so that the system could consider the safety stock of Component A2 which is in stock and already reserved against planned order and it does not show missing parts when planned order is checked.
Waiting for your positive feed back.

    Dear,
What checking rule you have maintained for planned order.???
As what i can understand by your question that you have maintained to check reservation only in production order not in planned order. Or one important thing mostly people configure to reserve material only after release or creation of production order. Are you reserving material at planned order stage.?
Check these things. you will automatically find the answer. Hope it will help you. Revert back for more clarification.

  • Availability check during process order creation

    Hi all,
can anyone tell me significance of availability check during creation /change of process order?? ( in terms of business)
    how is the usual processs?

    Hi,
Availability check for a material is carried out only if the material is
    1. A stock item
    2. Not a phantom item
    3. Not a bulk material.
    This can be carried out
    1. during order creation
    2. during order release
    3. when a created order is saved
Availability check can be triggered either manually or automatically.
For this we need to define in checking control(opjk)
First define a checking group(ovz2) and checking rule and this
must be assigned to checking scope.(opjj)
In the checking scope(opjj) we should define
    1. which Mrp elements are to be considered during check
    2. which inventory categories are to be taken into account
    3. whether Replinishment lead time is to be taken into account or not
    4. whether check is also to be carried at storage location level.
This checking rule must be linked to checking control(opjk)in which you can say
1.No availability check for the material
2.Availability check when saving the order
3.What type of check is to be carried
whether ATP CHECK or Check against PIR quantities
    4. Whether order should be released or not if there is
    any missing parts.
The checking group is assigned to material master MRP3 view. Please check whether checking gorup is assigned to all the components in the BOM.

  • Availability Check during Sales Order and Inventory Adjustment

Hi, I have a small doubt here regarding the availability check during the sales order creation. When a sales order is placed, the availability check is performed. If the material is available, then a confirmed sales order is recorded and sales order note is placed to the customer. If the material is not available, then a transfer of requirments is passed to MM for that material. Am I clear upto this point ? Apart from this, I have another confusion, when a customer places a sales order and it is confirmed, then are the stocks from the inventory get reduced that time itself ? Or the ordered stock is moved to restricted stock and while doing the PGI in delivery the actual stock is reduced from the inventory. Please confirm. Also add your knowledge here if you feel so. Thanks.

    Hi,
The stock will not get reduce from the inventory till PGI is done. However, with respect to the availabillity check, we can control the system to take into consideration of the open orders and open delivery. If the system considers the open order of 5 quantity and the user create a order for 5 quantity for which stock available is 5.Then the system will give as no stock available while PGI even though if the stock are avaialble.

    Nithin.

  • Problem During Creation of Production Order

    Dear Sirs
Hope you all are well. I am facing a problem in PPDM during creation of Production Order which is that when I try to release the order System shows me material availability error for BOM items but when I check those material in MMBE(stock overview )all materials are available in UN-restricted use stock. I am facing this problem and not able to resolve it please help me out in it.

    Dear
Did you maintain Work Schedulimng View of the Material ??
Did you maintain any Production Storage Loaction in MRP2 view and same is appearing in Goods Movement Tab in CO11N screen with Movement Type 101 ??
Did you maintain the Operation Control Key -pp03  which should have Auto GR check box marked in OP00 ?? Goto Operation Control key -Detail information -Check whther Auto GR is marked or not ??
If you are using Serrial Number Profile and Serial Number , then Auto GR is not possible .Make sure that you are not haveing functionality because it does not support Auto GR fro serialised material and need to do it through MIGO/MB31/MB1C.
Make sure that you have used PP03-Control key only at last operation not all the operations. You need to maintain PP03 at Routing level and call the function by Read PP Master data  at production order level   (co02-function read pp master data )

  • Problem with ATP check in release of process order

    Hi gurus,
I have next problem in automatic release of process order:
No checking group is maintained for product 000000000791104015, plant VFMX in matl master.
    Situation:
I've some materials without MRP views in material master data but apparently this doesn't affect to release order. In this case, this material hasn't this views and it's impossible to release the order. I'm supposing the problem is not related with the fill up of this views or the field in material master data, because for other materials with the same situation the release is running.
    Anybody has any idea?
    Thanks a lot,
    Regards

    Dear ,
You are facing this error because :
    - you have activated avaialbility check, but checkingb group is not maintained in material master of the component
    - if maintained in material master, in configuraion checking group and checking rule combination is not maintained
    - if above both are maintained then in the checking control for the order type is maintained, but in the control you maintained the setting that - release not possible if no availability, hence change it to user control option.
*So  Goto MM02- material master -MRP3 view -Maintain the Availability check field as 01/02 as applicable  for components in the production *
For more clarification , you can investigate the below : For production order avilablity check  and release u have  should  following settings.
    1. Define checking Group - SPRO
    2. Define checking Rule- SPRO.
    3. Define scope of check - OPJJ - Scope of the avilabilty check is defined for the Combination of Checking group and Checking rule. Check contol is defined for each comination of checking group and checking rule.
4.Define Chek control -OPJK  : Checking rule is linked to Ordertype/Plant combination.
while releasing the production order system will do avilability check as per the settings In OPJK for ordertype/plant combination.
Hope this is clear to you

  • Availability check during confirmation

    Hi all,
I need material availability check do be done during confirmation of a order instead of order release...Where do i have to make the configuration change..???
    Regards,
    Joseph.

    Hi,
As per standard practice, it is always suggested to do availability check at the time of order create / release. However, still if your client is not willing for the same then set no availability check for material, capacity & PRT in OPJK & also in Material master MRP-3 Availability check you can put as no check (KP) case to case basis.
Also if you want to prevent errors in Goods movements at the time of confirmation then you need to maintain following config. setting :
GO to OPK4--> Select your Plant & Material -> Individual Entry General (Tab)--> Error Handling / logs ---> Maintain tick in check boxes Goods Movements & Termination of Incorrect Goods Movements.
However, this config. will work in case you use backflush for components & control key with Auto GR functionality. So that your GI, confirmation & GR all will be linked. System will prevent errors in GI & GR while confirmation with this config.
    Hope this helps.

  • Avoiding creation of reservation during creation of production order

    Dear gurus,
when we create a production order for a semifinshed material there are reservations created for the raw material used to produce the semifinished material ,what if I what to avoid the creation of material reservation .
I have tried out with setting in opl8 wherein we specify the creation of reservation on release of production order or on creation or never but it is not working otu please if u can help me out.
I what to create manual reservation for production orders......Is it possible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
.As long as , you have BOM components are in stock  , system will generate reservation for them when you create Production order  where as if any of the component is not available in the stock then it will generate PR based on the material master set up because when you are creating production order or creating planned order through MRP , system performs material availablity check in the back ground and generate either reservation or PR automatically .
Secondly, you can not create Manual Reservation  , See the Std SAP message .Message no. M7 126
You entered an order whose category only permits automatic reservations. The following order categories do not allow manual reservations:
    10 PP production order
    20 network
    30 maintenance order
    40 batch order (process manufacturing)
    50 inspection lot.
So conclusion is you can't stop creation of reseravtion .Curious to know why you do not want reservation for PO ?
    Hope this is clear

  • Availability check during Shipping

    Hi,
I want input regarding availability check during shipping.
It's a make to order scenario & I want to know whether availability check is really required during shipping for checking the sales order stock or it can be managed without availability check.
The reason, why I want to avoid availability check is because the quantity of production order is very small say 10 ton of concrete p day. I require a proper logics to convince my client.
    Please share your valuable inputs.
    Regards
    Suman

    Dear Suman
Whatever be the production order quantity, it makes sense to carry out an availability check in the delivery for the following reasons.
If you do not carry out an availability check for particular materials in the sales order, you should definitely check whether the order quantity is available and can be delivered when you create the delivery. Even if you have checked the availability situation in the order, it makes sense to check it once again in the delivery.
The availability check is calculated using planned inward and outward movements of goods. Therefore the delivery situation might have changed in the meantime due to unforeseen circumstances, such as lost output. The availability check in the delivery takes any such changes into account.
    Thanks

  • Problem while releasing the production order.

    Hai gurus,
When i release the production order , SAP doesn't block when i have a deficit of stock for some materails.I checked all the customizing and found every thing is fine.
As the materials that has defict stock has back flush indicator, is that the reason why the system is assuming the stock when releasing.

    Hi,
You need to consider the following customization settings
    (1) OPJK - For the Plant/Order type/Availability check-2 for the material availability - Release material - set the indicator '3' No release if parts are missing
    (2) OPJJ - For availability check & checking rule - check what all elements are considered as part of ATP check.
With these settings - in the production order if the order header has status MSPT - Missing parts (i.e. components are missing) only then system will stop the release of the order.
I hope this addresses your query
    Warm regards,
    Umesh

  • Error while release of production order u201CNext period is not openu201D

    Hi Experts,
Need your opinions on this issue where my client is facing a problem while create and release a production Order on the last day of the month (Last day of period change).
While create and release of production order for Plant xxxx, system uses to give the error; period Next (e.g. 12) is not open. Same thing if I have created the order using T. code CO01; but when I tried to release and save the order through T. code CO02 then it gave me the same error (Next period is not Open), it checks for the next period to open.
The above scenario happens only on last day of the month. Earlier this kind of error was not there so the question is why the period check is happening while saving the production order.
After speaking to the user, it is determined that they are facing this problem since upgrade (Since last 8 month). Hence need to check what additional check has been implemented with upgrade from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.
    Error Message No F5201
Appreciate your help how to dig up this issue.
    With Regards
    Anant

    Hi Guys,
Please throw some light why on the last day of the month (Last day of period change) at the time of release the order user is getting error: Period Next (FI Next period) is not open ( message No. F5201).
My question is why system carried out period checks at the time of release of Production Order.

  • Header Material Repeated during creation of production order

    Sir,
I have defined bom as one component and 3 co product.
During creation of production order in operation overview i found header material is repeated in components.
Pl. suggest me where i have made mistake.
    Regards,

    Hi
Check whether BOM is recursive or not? also check the movement type against the header material.
Also check in CO03>Goto> Material list

    Hello Experts
I do not want to release any production order without standard cost estimate
I have come acroos the same problem raised by some other users and can you please suggest how to achieve this?
Is there any way to achieve this without user exit?
    Thanks and Regards
    Subbu

    Hello Subbu,
In this case, you need to put the status as "B4" Blocked in costing 1 view of material master, when you create the costing view and change it to "03" status when you released the cost estimate.
Please note that this field can be overwritten in MRP view also. Hence please get the good control of material master and good coordination with PP team to achive this.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
    Thank you,
