Control of price varience in MIRO.

Hi All,
I have a problem in setting the tolerance limit for Price varience in MIRO.
The requirement is,
The client wants to activate this tolerance limit for 1% price varience of PO value.
But, this tolerance limit should be checked for the Planned delivery costs.
How can i achieve that...
Because once i activae the tolerance limit, i know that is apllicable for all types of cost (It be delivery cost or material cost) but in this case i should restrict it to only material cost.
Pls help...
Regards,
Puneeth

Hi,
You can use below telerance key to meet your requirement
KW: Variance from condition value
The system calculates the amount by which each delivery costs item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * planned delivery costs/ planned quantity. It compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).

  • CDPOS for the moving avenge price when using MIRO, MIGO & VL31N etc.

    Hi
Is there a way of tracking all changes with CDPOS for the moving avenge price when using MIRO, MIGO & VL31N etc.
We can show changes for MR21 in CDPOS but we need to reflect all changes made to the moving avenge price for MIRO, MIGO & VL31N etc. We need to run a report that will show all these changes.
We run a report to look at all the change records for Moving Avenge Price, We use tables CDPOS & CDHDR, then Change the document Object for both tables to material, so when the report is run you can identify the material by the object value field
u201CIf you look at CDPOS the fields where reading the data from in the u201CNew Value fieldu201D is CDFLDVALN when I do an F1u201D
u201CIf you now check MBEW on the u201CMoving Avenge Price fieldu201D, the data reads from VERPR which is the field we need to reflect the changes. If we can change this then the report will worku201D
    Can you help please?

    Hello Jürgen,
Thank you for your quick reply. I read the note -- it describes the symptom perfectly, and gives example cases which match our situation. However, no solution or recommendation is given. Does it mean that this way of valuating cancellations is not seen as a malfunction, and cannot be changed?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Price difference in miro

    Dear All,
I have 2 scenario to book the price difference and I would like to know both impact.
Say this is based on standard price.
    1) when the invoice amount different from the GR amount, I change the amount field in miro line item for each PO line item that already GR which got difference. The difference go to price difference account.
    2) I do not care the PO line item which already GR but only manually book in price difference account in GL account tab for the difference between invoice and gr.
As the price difference will go to copa, may i know what is the implication or result for case 1 and case 2?
    Thanks

    Hi
There are n number of ways of doing things, In both of your above mentioned cases the differential amount will be debited to PRD or stock aaccount depending on your stock coverage.Had it been PRD as you say the amount will be fetched to Controlling as there is a definite expense recognised .Had there been Stock account there would be no amount transfer to COPA ,but eventually when you issue the material it is the expense account will will be debited and the amount will be fetched to Controlling .Thus in both the cases the accounting impact is the same it is only the realization time is different.

  • Is there a way to pay SA price when invoice price is different (MIRO)

    Hello everyone,
I am having an issue with how the amount to be paid to a vendor is working when an invoice price is not equal to the purchase document price.
I am not a FI CO person what so ever. Which means I really haven't a clue as to what I am doing here.
Here is an example of what is happening for us.
I received an invoice from vendor 123, for $491.23 (it is for 10,000 pcs), when we go into MIRO we enter the invoice information, then we enter the SA that needs to be tied to this invoice. When we enter the SA, all of the deliveries not yet tied to an invoice are listed. There is only one delivery for 10,000 pcs listed, but the SA price for this is $418.27. Showing a difference of $72.96.  We go ahead and select this delivery.
We then go the the "G/L" tab in MIRO and enter gl# 618116 for the amount of $72.96. We save the entry.
Now, when we go into FBL1N and look up vendor 123, it is showing that we owe $491.23, instead of $418.27.
I have checked OBYC - PRD, and the cost center 618116 is assigned.
Question 1: Shouldn't it show the $418.27 owed to the vendor in FBL1N?
Question 2: Am I missing something in the g/l setup to make this work, do you have any clue as to what that might be?
Any ideas on what we are doing wrong will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all your help.

  • Excise Price Capture at MIRO level

    Hi friends,
    My client Senario
create PO , vendor suplies  material based on Delivery dates. Before del.Date vendor suplies mat they gave Bonus on PO document Price.
for this i created one Condition Type .
and doing process GR and Excise Capture
first Po - created - for basic price and Tax code
    GR - 101 part 1 updated , J1iex - post
now PO changes for that BONUS - 4 %
in miro basic price will be picked . how the excise will captured and added into excise G/L account or material
Any sub sequent step is possible . pls explain through transation

As per understanding , if the vendor is giving bonus 4 % means , in basic price is going to reduce 4% right .
U can create condition ttype ZBNS - Bonus % or quantity ??
Then in Po condition u can maintain the same .
While doing GR it'll get reduced accotrdingly.
then u can do Capture and Post excise invoice ..
    Revert any clarification.
    hi mm Group
this case not reduce the basic price, senario is In PO del.date 20/03/2010 , my terms is if vendor supplies before 20/03/2010 like (18/03/2010) i will pay extra money to vendor its in % (For example my PO value 1000 rs/- ) he supplies before del.date i will add 4% so 40 Rs i ll pay to vendor .
At this time i already done my GR for that PO 1,000. the Excise captured for 1000.
while MIRO doing i change my PO for tht condition type 4%. so value incresed and pay to excise dept tht extry value (40). for this 40 rs. excise how ll i capture .
this 40 BED ,cess SHcess will applied .

  • Control 0 price passing to invoice.

    Hi,
I want to stop materials having 0 price passing in to invoice.
    The scenario-
A Sales document was entered and a schedule line was rejected, this got passed to delivery and that particular line item has 0 qty.
In the generated invoice, the corresponding line item has 0 price.
The requirement is to stop line items having price as 0 coming to the billing document.
What we thought was to correct this using copy controls/copying requirements,
That is- change the copy controls from delivery to billing.
For line item copy controls- Copying requirement is maintained as 004- Delivery related item.
What we thought was to take a copy of this and change it to include a check to seed eliveries with line items containing 0 quantity.
If so, not to pass it to the billing doc.
Is this approach correct? Or is there another way to correct this.

    Hi,
    You can try below optioins:-
1)- if you dont want the system copy the Zero quantity line items from Delivery - Billing,
    Goto Tx:0VLP,
mark " Material Qtty "0" allowed", so that system allows to create delivery with "Zero" qtty.
    Chekc qtty "0" = B ( error message when qtty = 0)
so that Delivery will never create with "zero" qtty, then there is no chance of copying "Zero" qtty line items into Billing.
    2) if you dont want  the system copy the rejected schedule lines from Order - Billing.
I assume, you cant directly reject the schedule lines, you can reject line items by putting the "reason for rejction" in sales order @ item level. If you dont want the system to copy this rejected lines into billing , then while creating "reason for rejection" - Not relevant for billing should be checked.
In std, not all the "reason for rejection" codes set as "Not rel. for billing".
eg: check std copy control maintained @ Credit memo request - Credit memo - item level.
    Hope it adds info

  • Invoice Verification tolerance price varience

    Hi All,
I have set Invoice verification tolerance key PP upper limit 5 % and value 5 in customizing.
I have also set message M8082 and M8083 as error message in customizing.
My requirement is to limit user from posting invoice above 5 % of GRN Amount.
The message customizing is working fine for value (M8082) however I cannot get message M8083 for % of invoice amount tolerance.
I want message M8083 to be triggered at invoice verification which is not happening.

    Hi,
If the price in an order item is marked as an estimated price, for this item, the system calculates the difference between the invoice value and the product of quantity invoiced * order price and compares the variance with the upper and lower tolerance limits defined
Please confirm your PO should have following check on condition control tab
and maintain the Tolerance key PS for upper and lower % limits, system first go through Val. check and then % tolerance limit check,
then you will get the message M8083

  • Price Variance (PP) - MIRO

    Hi Guys,
Can you please explain how the PP tolerance in MIRO works with an example and about absolate, Min tolerance and Max Tolerance Limits?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Laxmi.

    Hi
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/47/60fa3d49f011d1894c0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Suppose if PO price is $100 then system should allow up to $105 with out blocking means with percentage of 5%. If it exceeds 5% system should block the invoice.
    Maintain the configure in
SPRO-> IMG-> MM -> Purchasing-> Purchase Order-> Set Tolerance Limits for Price Variance
Here you can maintain the tolerance limits for key PE: Price variance: purchasing
    Then,Invoice will be blocked 'R'
Invoice is blocked, all the items are blocked. Even if the invoice only displays variances in one item, the whole invoice is blocked for payment.
If you post an invoice with a blocking reason, the system carries out two steps:
The account postings resulting from the invoice are made.
In the vendor item, the system enters an 'R' in the field Payment block so that Financial Accounting cannot make payment for the invoice.
Go to TCode OMR6 (Invoice Block under the LIV section of the IMG) and drill into the CoCd and the Tolerance Key PP. Activate the lower limit check by selecting teh Check Limit button and put in a Value, a Percentage, or both. Save it and that should give you what you're looking for.
    Tolerance Conditions T.Code:OMR6
    Tolerance Limit
BD Form small differences automatically 100 UPPER
BR Percentage OPUn variance (IR before GR) 5% UPPER AND LOWER
BW Percentage OPUn variance (GR before IR) 1% UPPER AND LOWER
DQ Exceed amount: quantity variance 0 UPPER (NO TOLERANCE)
DW Quantity variance when GR qty = zero 0 UPPER (NO TOLERANCE)
KW Var. from condition value NO CHECK
PP Price variance 5% UPPER AND LOWER
PS Price variance: estimated price 5% UPPER AND LOWER
ST Date variance (value x days) NO CHECK

  • Control Unplanned Delivery Cost in miro

    Dear All,
I want to limit the Unplanned Delivery cost by some %, say my Total invoice amt is Rs 1000 & i need to set 10% as the limit for Unplanned del cost field. so max i can enter upto Rs 100 here. How can i achieve this ?
    regds,
    CB

    Hi,
Guess there is no tolerance limit which can be set on Unplanned Delivery Cost.
This feature itself is there to map any Unplanned cost in MIRO,  hence there is no logic in having a tolerance for it.
    Hope this answers.

  • Price control at the time of GR

    Hi
There is a requirement to control the price based on the document date entered at the time of GR.
The document date is nothing but the delivery challan date of the supplier.
The requirement is due to frequent change in prices and retrospective price changes are to be addressed.
Is there any userexit or note which can help achieve the above requirement.
    Thanks
    Rahul

    Hi Merwyn
The example you have provided is the issue why i am unable to use the price control category 5 in the infor record or PO.
Here the requirement is  as below:
Price valid from 01.08.2008 to 31.08.2008--- Rs 25
Price valid from 01.09.2008 to 30.09.2008--- Rs 28
The vendor delivery challan is dated 30.08.2008
The material reaches the customer on 02.09.2008
The GR is prepared in the system with
    Document date - 30.08.2008
    Posting Date  -- 02.09.2008
The GR value taken is Rs 28...but this will create problem in IR.
Hence the requirement is to determine the basic price on the document date i.e the delivery challan date of the vendor.
    Thanks
    Rahul

  • Price control change

    Hi Experts,
How to change the price control for a Raw material from Standard to Moving Avg Price (Material Ledger Active Status).
This Raw materials having last year in Standard, now wants to change as per the requirement to MAP. Please advice.
    Regards,
    Raghav

    Hi Experts,
My scenario is our company using ECC6.0, and the material ledger is activated.
Wrongly last fiscal year for one plant nearly 50+ materials created under standard price with price determination as 2.
(ROH - with Price control 'S' + Price Deterimination = 2) and all the materials having stock and values, transactions is going on.
Now we realized that the raw materials created wrongly in standard price and want to change the price control and price determination. If we change the materials determination and control in CKMM what is the next impact for calculating next prices through cost estimates (CKMLCP or CK40N) and is it suggestable to do?
We need your valuable inputs / advices....
    Thanks and Regards,

    Thanks in advance
    Sarvottam

    Hi,
The example entry given by you is correct, in case of your purchase order was created without account assignment category(F/K/P)....i.e...STOCK PO
In case of account assignment cateogry PO, then the price diff during MIRO would be posted to Mat Mag Small Diff account, which you have configrued for acount key PRD in OBYC.

  • Price control in material master.

    Dear all,
How can i change the Price control key(V to S) in material master.
and what are the implication after change the price control.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Vishal Garg

    Hello
In the SAP System, there are two types of price control:
Standard price & Moving average price.
These two types of price control differ in how they handle price variances resulting from goods receipts or invoice receipts.
Changing the Type of Price Control
Under certain conditions, you can change the type of price control:
From standard price to moving average price
You can make this change at any time. The moving average price (which until now has been updated for informational purposes only) replaces the standard price and is used for valuation from now on.
From moving average price to standard price
You cannot make this change in the following two cases:
If the material master record is set up as a valuation header record for a material subject to split valuation
If the standard price comes from costing and is not equal to the moving average price
If the change is possible, the moving average price becomes the standard price, which is then used for valuation.
You change the type of price control by overwriting the price control indicator in the material master record with the new indicator.
Changing the type of price control for a material does not change the value of the material stock, since in both cases the current price becomes the new price.
    An example is given below:
Standard price to Moving average price
    Material A
    Price control: S
    Moving average Price: 8
    Standard Price: 10
    Total Stock: 100
    Total Stock value: 1000
Now we change the material price control to 'V'. Then
    Material A
    Price control: M
    Moving average price:10
    Standard price: 10
    Total Stock: 100
    Total Stock value: 1000
    Moving average to standard price
    Material B
    Price control: V
    Moving average Price: 8
    Standard Price: 0
    Total Stock: 100
    Total Stock value: 800
Now we change the material price control to 'S'. Then
    Material B
    Price control: S
    Moving average price:8
    Standard price: 8
    Total Stock: 100
    Total Stock value: 800
Hope this will clear your doubts.
