Dear Sir/Mam,
I’m particularly interested in the position of Control System Engineer, which relates strongly to my more than six years of experience in designing various applications for testing and automation. I am Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer & prepared for CLD also. Currently I am leading a team for the project for Machine Automation and remote diagnostics, and I believe I meet all the essential criteria of the position. My work at my current organization has been rewarding and productive. However, I wish to expand my career further, into the application designing and development role. The position also has a definite correlation with my practical knowledge and experience. You’ll see from my CV that I have been deeply involved in designing and development of various applications based on Programming techniques, hardware and network designing. I feel that I am well qualified to make an effective and useful contribution to design good application which will be market acceptable.
I’m enthusiastic about the chance to participate in a meaningful role with an industry leader in the field.
Thank you for your consideration of my application. Please contact me should you require any further information,

Can the SC-2345 be used as the basis of a vibration control system
I am in the begining stage of putting together a small vibration control and measurement system for one of our Professors. I have a small MB shaker and amplifier, accelerometers, an SC-2345 based system and 2 SCC-ACC01 accelerometer modules. Before I commit to going forward can I assume that this assortment of hardware is adequate for a simple vibration control system? If so, is there a set of .vi's available such that I could show a simple demonstration of the unit?
Thanks in advance,
ChuckThanks for your posting,
By using an acelerometer or two, you will be able to measure the stimulus (shaker) and the response (vibration transferred thru the unit under test) with the two accelerometers. By analyzing the vibration, you can determine whether to increase or decrease the vibration level. You may want to perform vibration level measurements, or vibration measurements at specific frequencies. Either way, the output of your analysis should be a scaler value which you can use as a process value for a PID algorithim or other control algorithim. The output of the control algorithim would control for example the magnitude of the vibration signal fed to the shaker.
So the diagram is really 1) measure vibration leve 2) pass level thru control algorithim and 3) adjust amplitude of signal fed to shaker.
Does this make sense?

Hai
Iam trying to design antenna control systems by using pci7342 card. In my control system iam using absolute encoder SICK ARS60 for position feedback and Tacho meter output voltage for rate feedback. In interfacing these things iam facing problems.
1.NI card is not supporting absolute encoder. i planed to use deva SSI card for reading absolute encoder and feed that as position feed back for motion control card. If i did this what sort of problems can i expect.
2. Please tell me the way to feed analog voltage as rate input to motion control card. Can iuse an analog input voltage. As my antenna is Azimuth over elevation system ineed to perform secant correction on one of the two channels. can i do this manipulation in the card.
If anyone is having any experience in these problems please help us by sharing what you know.gopi,
Have you thought about using softmotion with a Compact RIO (cRIO) system? Using softmotion, cRIO, an analog output module, and an analog input module you will be able to read from your absolute encoder, your Tacho meter, and control your motor.
I think controlling your Antenna is the perfect use for the PCI-7342. Having said that, I would hate for you to have to waste the benefits of the absolute encoder because you can only use an absolute encoder as a quadrature encoder.
If you are dead set on using the PCI-7342, there are a few options...
You can use the absolute encoder as a quadrature encoder as described in the document below...
Using an Absolute Encoder (Binary Encoding) as a Quadrature Encoder with Motion Products
Or, you could use a D/A converter to convert the Absolute encoder to a voltage and use analog feedback as your primary feedback. If your D/A has the same resolution as the A/D on the motion board, this could be extremely effect. The downside is that this requires that you add external circuitry.
You will not be able to use the tachometer with the 7342. The problem is that you want to use the tachometer as secondary feedback to your PCI-7342. The PCI-7342 does support secondary velocity feedback, but the 7342 is expected position feedback that it will take the derivative of to get the velocity feedback it needs. So, if you were to give it direct velocity feedback, the 7342 would find its derivative and end up applying acceleration feedback. Also, only the PCI/PXI-7352 allows Analog Secondary feedback, the 7342 only works with quadrature secondary feedback, which your tachometer doesn't provide.
Like I said at the beginning of this reply, I really think you should look into using NI Softmotion. You can create your own custom Motion controller in a realtime system. This would give you the flexibility you need to use all of your feedback devices.
Below is a link to a great document about Softmotion...
NI SoftMotion: Create Your Custom Motion Controller on Any Platform with LabVIEW
Good Luck,
