Convert pane to panel coordinates bug ?

The attached VI uses invoke node Convert Pane to Panel Coordinates. It's in LabVIEW 8.2.
It returns 0, 46 when run in 8.2.
It returns 0, 0 when run in 8.5.1, and 8.6.
It returns 0, 51 when I copy everything on the diagram to a blank VI in 8.6.
Look like a bug to me. Did I miss something ?

It depends on the position of the scroll bars.

How to identify "front panel coordinates" of a marker on a 2d picture( google static Api map) in labview ?

I am working on a project which requires me to obtain the front panel coordinate of a marker placed on a 2d picture of a map. The map is being obtained by sending http request to google. I am using static google maps to obtain the map. Below is a picture of front panel with the marker pointing at a location on the map.The position of the marker keeps on varying around the picture as i change the input location. Hence i need a way to record the changes in position of the marker on the map.

The panel is the UI part of the VI. It can be divided into several panes which are simply different parts of the same panel, which can have seperate scrollbars, etc.

Tabbed panes inside panels!!! (not dialogs)

i want to have tabbed panes inside panels. is this possible? if yes, how?

It seems the best solution to this issue is to ditch the Spry Tabbed Panel and use a javascript tabbed panel. User971824 in Stack Overflow explained the problem as follows:
"I had this issue and it's because your gallery is hidden on page load so the plugin cannot read the container width and height in order for it to render properly. Instead of initializing the plugin on page load initialize it when the user clicks on the tab. If you have any animation on the tab windows makes sure you initialise flexslider after the animation is complete."
"You are using spryTabbedPanels for your tabbed pages. I looked at the API and they dont seem to have an animation complete function so until you sort out that end you wont be able to fix it. You need a way to detect once the panel has shown so that you can initialize the carousel."

URL Convert from Hyperlinks Panel

i guess this is an old one, but i cannot find it in the forums. In InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2.318)/Windows the function convert URL to Hyperlinks at the Hyperlink Panel does not work as expected. URLs with HYPHEN-MINUS (U+002D) are splitted into two URLs, this is not a Soft-Hyphen.
There is no CS5 around for testing.
Simple test: Create an document with the following text:
www.test-me.de
The function will create two Hyperlinks
www.test
-me.de
I'm happily tagging URL with the GREP

Problem in converting reports to PDF format - bug

dear all,
There is a problem in converting the reports in PDF format.
The situation is that if we use the tool bar icon in SAP B1 to get the reports in PDF format, there are printing errors. The output PDF file does not contain the exact data that is in the report, the values are getting interchanged and mismatched.
But if we do the same using the print in the PDF option in choose from printers window as we do regular pringting, the document is printed properly.
what may be the cause for this bug like thing. How can we solve it??

How to get Panel coordinates

            i have a panel in canvas layout.
           if want to add one more panel immediate next to the first panel i need to know x, y coordinate of the first panel.
            How can i know i the coordinates.

You can get the coordinates by:
panelOne.x and panelOne.y
panelOne is the id of your panel. e.g. <mx:Panel id="panelOne" ...>...</Panel>
To add a new panel right next to it you have to set the x and y for the new panel like this:
newPanel.x=panelOne.x+panelOne.width;
newPanel.y=panelOne.y+panelOne.height;

Title designer coordinates bug

I'm having an issue with CS6 Premiere Pro's title designer.
If I place text in the title, add it to my timeline, and then reopen the title for editing, I find that the coordinates of the placed text read as X 100 & Y 100, regardless of where they are actually placed. As soon as I click on either coordinate text field, the text will jump to X 100 or Y 100, depending on which field I click on. I have revisited this a few times, and consistently, the coordinates for placed text read as X 100 & Y 100. In CS5.5, they simply retain their proper coordinates. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug???
System info:
CS6 Premiere Pro 6.0.1 (MC: 264587)
6-core MacPro5,1
16GB RAM
OSX 10.6.8
ATI Radeon HD 5870 video card
Permissions repaired and disks checked (ONXY & Disk Warrior)

Here's what I get when I double click the title to open it for editing. Note that the text is still in its original location in the title, but the coordinates now read as X 100 & Y 100:
This is mostly a major annoyance as I can manually reposition the text, but if I want to match text postions of a few titles via numerical coordinates, I have to enter both X and Y values.

No they don't, if you want it fixed you need to file a bug report.

I have a pixel missing at the left lower corner where the
border for the content appears to end and the border for the tab
appears to begin. This does not happen in Firefox...in FF the
borders meet and gives the appearance of one continuous border. As
with everything else that has to do with IE I am assuming this is
some "quirk" with IE but unsure. If it is what is the bug called
and what is the hack/work-around (if any)?

I have now seen that this small (1 pixel) gap exists in all implementations of the Spry Tabbed Panels.
Check yourself (you will need to use Ctrl+"+" to magify the screen to see it).
It seems to be an unavoidable bug that is usually hidden by colors that are not too contrasty.
Oh well, seems I have to accept this minor flaw and move on?

CS6 - Effects panel view bug?

Anyone else noticed this possible bug?...
In the Effects Panel, create a custom bin - drag a few accelerated and 32 bit effects into it (like fast color corrector etc). The icons for accelerated, 32bit and YUV don't show next to the copied effect and selecting the filter button for each of these obviously doesn't show the copied effect.
I think that's a bug?

Why would that be by design though? I can't see any reason why they shouldn't show up? Unless I'm missing something? Third party plugins do or at least colourista II does iirc. After all, it's simply a copy of the plugin in a custom folder.

"Arrange Documents" panel plugin bug - Please Adobe give technical details

Hi,
A lot of users are hit by this bug that appears when installing certain
plugins under CS4 (Nik Software plugins for example):
- the menu bar buttons that should be highlighted in color when hovering
them switch to a full grey area.
- the 2 top Panels in the Arrange Documents drop down menu are
invisible.
Adobe say this is a problem with older plugins and a misunderstanding
about how resources are managed in plugins (read : it's a developer
mistake) and plugin vendors don't make any firm statement about this
issue.
The workaround that generally works is to close and reload the plugin
but this works only for the current session.
It would be nice if Adobe could give us users clear and detailed
technical information about this issue. Many of us are developers or
power users and since the communication between the plugin vendors and
Adobe doesn't seem to be that effective, at least we would be able to
transmit the information to the vendor's technical support ourselves.
And as a developer, I'd like to know what mistake so many developers
have made when using the CS4 SDK.
It's very annoying to live with such trivial problems since months
without seeing any fix released.

However, it seems that there's a communication problem about this
particular issue, at least with some major vendors. I received a message
from Nik Software yesterday telling me that they are aware of the
problem and working on a fix. However, this is not a new problem and
since it is apparently a well-known misunderstanding about how some PS
APIs are working and since many plugins from various vendors are
triggering this misbehavior of the PS UI, I guess this must have been
documented somewhere. I can't imagine that this is not the case. If Nik
Software had received the right information from Adobe, the problem
should be gone since a long time.

Action Script Pane in panel for a newbie

I'm inputting script into the action panel pane and am unable
to see the last letter of some of the stuff. EX; typing in
btn1.bnt. and seeing bt1.bt. How am I able to make sure I have no

It hard to tell if you have some defect in Flash or if you
weren't describing what was disappearing without including typos.
Does "btn1.bnt" really appear as "bt1.bt"?
If that was just a typo, then the recommendation would be to
expand the size of the pane. You can drag it by the frame's edges
to any size you like. If it is docked somewhere you should be able
to undock it and place it wherever you like.

Disable grading on current panel shortcut bug

Hello,
I am beginning to feel like I am working for Adobe...
When you use the
Disable grading on current panel (hold down)
[Numpad] ,
[Numpad] ,
shortcut,
and then you want to go back in history states, each time you pressed "," seems to be counted as a history state, so it has no effect when you ctrl+z except getting you closer to reverting effectively.
Maybe this is because my keyboard is in french and the numpad instead of displaying "," displays "." ? But I doubt it.
