Converting swf to avi lossless

Does anyone know how to convert a SWF to an AVI without
quality loss.
I'm trying to drag my Flash video from my mac to my VMware
Windows XP so I can import it to Camtasia.
Camtasia only recognizes AVI, WMV or MPG.

Are you on a Mac?
My PC version of 8 gave me that option. It was the only way I
was ever able to get a video out of Flash, because the QT export
didn't work in 8.

  • Converted SWF to AVI to add to my timeline in PP2 but lost

I have Adobe Captivate I created a 2 minutes project and Captivate only saves as a flash file, swf, So I used a third party software to convert this swf file to avi. The quality of the stand alone avi is great. But when I bring it in to Premier Pro 2.0 I lost tremendous quality. Does anyone know perhaps why this happens, when its an avi file that PP2 supports. Help!!!!!!

    What
codec did you use in the AVI file?
    Cheers

  • Convert swf to avi

Hi there, I quite often have to covert a flash to mpg, and
always seem to come across heaps of diff probs exporting avi's
    quicktimes etc to convert.
It would be great to find a program that does a decent job of
coverting either to avi, or stright to mpg.
I've tried a few freeware programs but none have enough
control over the compression process - or they just don't work. So
keen to buy one - but would love some advice on which one to get,
as most dont seem to have a trial version.
If anyones got any names of awesome coverters/ comparison
info/ a point in the right direction that would be great!!!
    Cheers!

Hi there, yeh thanks for that - i've actually downloaded the
trial version but am having probs with the audio - doesnt seem to
    want to convert.
Also i have procoder which i think is supposed to be able to
covert swf files but havnt had any success importing them so far.
If anyone knows anything on this that's b great too!
    Thanks again!

  • Convert swf to video

Once, I find a very cooling flash on web, I want to put it on
my iPhone, but as you know, iPhone can only play iphone movie, then
I search on line to fine a program that can convert swf to iphone,
and I found Moyea swf to video converter. Actually, there are 9
products in Moyea swf to video converter series, you can choose
according to your own needs, such as swf to video Pro, swf to video
Std, swf to iphone, ipod, 3GP, Mpeg and so on.
Moyea SWF to video Pro is is quite brilliant in the
conversion from SWF to AVI, MP4, MPEG (compatible with DVD, VCD,
SVCD), and 3GP, etc. This program is orientated for video
professionals, business presenters, instructors, web designers,
    video enthusiasts, etc.
As distinct from the crowd of other converters, the program
has no problems related to video and audio asynchronization,
skipped/lost frames, audio distortion, inability to retain Alpha
Channel effect of original Flash files in converted videos and
failure to process internal and external Flash video (FLV).
Instead the program could let you fully enjoy the original
effects of your Flash files on PC, iPod, Zune, Xbox, PSP, cell
phones, DVD players and other portable devices when you are on the
move. Generated video files can be cropped, added a transparent
background and an animated watermark, etc.
But I think Moyea swf to iphone converter is enough for me to
use, so I bought it. And after using it, I found that This SWF
Converter is a economical and powerful tool for converting SWF to
video for home use as well as sharing with excellent picture
quality and sound quality. For it cost less and has perfect
performace for converting swf to mp4, swf to iphone video(mp4), swf
to iPod video(mp4), and ripping SWF to MP3,AAC, M4A, WAV audio
    files.
Now I want to share this series of program with all of you.
If you want to know more information please view
    Moyea SWF to video

    Yeah, of course the
SWF to Video Pro supports to
convert SWF to AVI video with alpha, generate 32 bits RGBA file,
offer manual mode for interactive Flash conversion, etc.
Actually you can download the trial version from the home
    page of the product:

  • Convert .SWF

Does anyone know how I can convert .SWF files to either Quicktime or .AVI? Thanks, as always.

You can try Aunsoft SWF Converter, It can convert swf to avi with high quality,
I think it support Quicktime either.
You can download it, install and uninstall very easily!

  • Smooth conversion of SWF to AVI with Alpha Channel

today i tried a program which claims the unique program in
    the world can convert
    SWF to AVI with alpha
channel, i find that this is the best program which can
synchronization audio and video, and there won't be watermark in
the middle of your video, i can also use it to capture pictures
when i play the swf file, it is a good function that i can put the
    picture in my phone

    Hi there Schumi-z!
Well, it seems many poeple have the very same problem. Let me explain what I have got and what I look for.
I am working on a simple video editor. This program is to take a video as input, read the video and "chop" it automatically. Taken certain frames to different new videos, from one to 10 or more, according to certain parameters of the frame analized.
What I have got until today is a way of opening the video, reading it frame by frame, extracting a frame, analize it. But I'm yet to develop a way to write new videos taking a group of this previously separated frames.
I would like to know, if you are trying to solve the same or similar problem which in any time it envolves writing a new video file, so we can work together and solve this problem as soon as possible.
This work is also a part of my research to complete my thesis work. It would be an honor to have a quote mentioning someone from around the world.
Well, I hope to hear from you soon.
    Have a nice day

  • Converting from swf to avi or mpg?

I've been searching for a way to convert the swf file that is
generated in Adobe Captivate to an avi or mpg.. but every
tool/converter i have tried fails to do the job for one reason or
    another..
Is there a converter project out there that works?
    Thanks

You could publish as an exe and convert that to AVI.
Go to this web site for a tool that also converts SWF
    http://converter-exe-flash-avi.qarchive.org/
or Google SWF to AVI for a list of sites with that software.
I only did the search, I do not have any experience using any of
    these.

  • Swf to avi with alpha chanel

    Hi,
It is possible to convert an swf animation (flash 8 with
filters) in ".avi" with alpha channel?
    (The background must be transparent)
I'm using a software named SWF2VIDEO, with this tool I'm able
to convert my ".swf" in ".avi". Some codecs give me alpha options,
but when the .avi is imported in After effect, there is no alpha
channel or he is not detected.
Someone have any idea on this?
    Thanks.
PS: I can't use flash player 5 (for the .mov export) cause
    I'm using flash 8 features

  • Convert swf to dvd format

what is the most efficient way to convert swf to dvd
format? are there more than one way? I'm trying to avoid
    degradation

I think they mean to convert flash content into a type of
file to use for dvd authoring/burning. "Efficient" is a relative
term when it comes to what you want to do. The best answer
sometimes depends on what is actually in your flash file. If it's
all vector, you have less to worry about when it comes to
generation loss. There are several "swf 2 avi" converters out
there. Flash itself lets you export to avi, but the quality has
never been good. I use GeoVid's Flash to Video Encoder
    http://www.geovid.com/Flash_to_Video_Encoder_PRO/
    and Flashants SWF2Video
    http://www.flashants.com/root/index.shtml
Each performs relatively well. From that, you can use the exported
video and place into whatever dvd burning application you
    have.

  • Freeware To Convert .swf or .fla to Quicktime or .png or .jpg for iMovie?

Hi. Just wondering if anyone's aware of any Freeware (or economical Shareware) for converting Flash's .swf or .fla files into a Quicktime file or even .png or .jpg's for import into iMovie. I know of a couple app's like this for Windows but need one for Mac's. Thanks for any assistance.

    Actually, go here...
    http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimediaand_Graphics/Misc__Graphics_Tools/Swf_Avi_Convert____Free_Converter__.html
That will get .swf to .avi(which is QT compatible) And it is free.
    Or
    http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimediaand_Graphics/Video_and_AnimationTools/VIDEOzilla.html
    Which is 30 dollars.
Let me know if either of these apps will work for you.

  • Converting swf to quicktime

I was wondering if anyone could guide me in the right
direction in terms of converting swf's into quicktime. I've been
searching around and so far I cannot find the answer.
    Thanks.

www.flashants.com - look at SWF2Video (Windows). It will
convert an swf to AVI - from there you
should be able to export it to MOV using a video application
designed to handle such an export.

  • Converting SWF to smaller dimensions

I have a full size Flash Movie (say 800 x 600) and need to
make it a frame size that can be viewed on iPods and PDAs. Is there
an easy way to convert the movie to a different size so all the
components stay the same? I have a program that then converts the
    swf to mp4.

    I guess I don't understand what you're saying. I don't know
what you mean by saying that "it doesn't show movie clips". A
different encoder wouldn't have anything to do with what's being
shown except for the amount of compression artifacts.
If you mean that the uncomprssed AVI plays kind of
herky-jerky, that's normal. Most home computers don't have the
horse power to play them very well if they're more than a few
seconds in length. But after you compress them they'll be fine.
I upload stuff to YouTube all the time. Don't believe the
silly hype about DIVX. Windows Media 9 is the best codec for small
file sizes like YouTube requires. The only problem is keeping them
in sync with the audio. The best solution I've found is to use an
NLE like Premiere to convert your uncompressed AVI to a DV-AVI but
with 16/44.1 sound and bring that into Windows Movie Maker to
convert it to a wmv file. WMM doesn't dither sound correctly so
you'll want to have it as 16/44.1 before you bring it in.
But if you take a DV-AVI file with 16/44.1 sound into WMM and
output a wmv file, I gaurantee you it will look and sound as good
    as possible on YouTube.
