Converting Time Ruler to Seconds Issue

In the project settings I have specified to use a time code 00:00:00:00 where the timeline should display the hours, minutes, or seconds in the footage. However, the timeline is still showing frames as you can see below. What am I doing incorrectly?

Thanks for the help Rick. I am still experiencing issues however. For instance in the composition settings I entered in 0:00:00:30 to have a 30 second composition. The first problem I notice is when I go back to the composition settings, or view the timeline, it shows one minute six seconds ( 0:00:01:06) for the duration of the comp, even though I specified  0:00:00:30.
The second problem I am having is I add clip to the timeline that is only 7 seconds long. For some reason it it stretches the clip through the whole timeline of the comp, it shouldn't as it its only 7 seconds.
Thanks for your feedback.

  • Converting time stamp in SECONDS to a calendar date format.. problems

Hello. I'm trying to convert a long interger that represents the number of SECONDS passed since the 1970 date
the number was originally generated by php's mktime() function
one of the numbers I have for example is this : 1126933200
I haven't done the math but this is a date probably around september of 2005.. it's irrelevant anyhow.
I want to convert this to a date format I can use in java. I've tried to create a new date like so :
    Date date = new Date(1126933200);
I've also tried it with the calendar method like so :
    Calendar calendar = new GregorianCalendar();
    calendar.setTimeInMillis(1126933200);
it was only then that I realized that both these methods require the number of MILLI seconds. So I tried doing a simple multiplication by 1000 on my original number and then I started getting a "integer number too large" error when trying to compile.
so i'm kind of at a loss here.. i figure I could make a function myself that would divide my number in days of 86400 seconds.. and then i'd have to keep in mind the bisectal (sp) and the months with more and less days etc.. but i'm sure there must be an easier way.
and i don't get why a method who's meant to receive a very long number is giving me an error when i try to give one to it.
your help is appreciated as always. thanks

Note you also need to define what timezone that seconds number represents.
With Gregorian it is going to use the local timezone (the code here will anyways). The code using Date is using the UTC timezone.

  • Converting time stamp in waveform to seconds

    Hello,
I would like to convert the time stamp in a waveform (coming from 'AI Sample Channel') into seconds.  Currently when I read the waveform into a file I get a format that looks like
    18:00:47.453000
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, it seems like this should be easy to do?
    Thanks,
    Cullen

In the attached example, I compare converting the datestamp to seconds by converting to double, to extended precision and doing a delta directly on the timestamp iteself (then converting).
Running the VI showed the same results (using Win-XP) for all three cases.  Unless you have a better OS, then the top example would probably do.
At least the example will show you how to convert to seconds (in 50ms steps for the example), and how to do it using the array directly (polymorphic functions).
    Hope it helps,
    RayR

  • Can I set the time ruler in the main window to minutes/seconds/milliseconds?

Is there a way to set the time ruler in the MAIN window to minutes/seconds/milliseconds?
It seems that the only ruler time display option is minutes/seconds/frames/subframes.
Or, failing that, is there a way to suppress the display of frames/subframes?
I have already figured out how to set the main ruler to time, and the LCD to minutes/seconds/milliseconds…it's just a matter of having that in the ruler as well.
    Thanks.

To my surprise that is not possible. Although, surprise...

  • Convert InfoPath form to PDF issues

    Hello,
We have some web based InfoPath forms hosted in a MOSS 2007 SharePoint environment. Users who have Acrobat professional installed on their computers are having problems converting the forms when using the Adobe PDF Toolbar in IE. There are two problems that the users are seeing.
First, individual text fields appear to black out the field. If the user selects the highlight fields option in Reader or Acrobat when they open the saved PDF, then the fields are no longer blacked out. It looks like the conversion is interperating the background color of the fields to be black. On the form there is no background color for the fields.
The second issue some users are experiencing is that the converted PDF looks to cut off the right side of the form, or throws off the layout of the form (table columns are shifted). The table shifting issue is probably related to the InfoPath form layout, but the cut off issue seems a bit odd. For most users the form scales to fit on the PDF page, but some users get a cut off form.
Has anyone seen either of these issues before, or found a resolution for either? Thank you ahead of time for any assistance.

Infopath forms contain multiple components. The InfoPath .xsn file defines the data structure, appearance, and behavior of finished forms (.xml files).
To properly convert I would suggest using LiveCycle Designer (not the Web Capture in Acrobat). Designer will convert your .xsn file and extract the necessary components.

  • Logc Pro X - TIME ruler  - selecting exact time for bounce.

I often need to make my bounce exactly :30 or :60 for radio and TV work. In LP9 I was able to view the TIME ruler, without making any changes to project settings, and select the time I needed (setting the locators for the bounce).
In LPX it seems that the to see a time scale (in musical mode) i need to view the secondary ruler, yet it is not selectable to set the locators to exactly :30 or :60 or whatever, I had success by switching the project settings to TIME, then setting the locators, then going back to musical. But that sure is a lot of steps.
AND I hate to lose the functionality of my audio bounced files not having the tempo information embedded because I am in TIME mode.
Need a quick workflow solution. Head scratcher, Any thoughts?
    LOVE LOGIC X
    Needs CLIP GAIN!

The issue is one of workflow. I realize that it is in settings. The fastest way I can find to select :30 exactly is to use the project settings key command "option-P" and under general, uncheck "Use musical grid", putting LOGIC in TIME mode.
Then highlite the primary ruler to :30. Then bounce.
Seems fine. But  bouncing in TIME mode does not record the tempo information in the audio file, which can be a drag. So to add tempo information you have to switch back to musical mode. MULTIPLE STEPS.
LPX seems to have added steps to what was once a simple swipe on a second ruler that could be selected, and then hit bounce.
So I was wondering if anyone had found a better workflow solution.

  • Error when converting time stamp in date time time zone CST  in IC

    Hi Experts,
We have recently upgraded from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007. We are using IC WEB Employee interaction center.
so when agent create service ticket in interaction center and close the ticket on same day we are getting an error saying Error when converting time stamp in date time time zone CST.
we thought there may be problem while installing SAP CRM by basis team in time zone, but we did not find any problem.
So please advice how to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Teja

    Hi Teja,
I saw a similar message, and it was resolved by adding a timezone to the user profile defaults tab in SU3. I believe the system has been configured to convert between users' timezone and the system timezone, therefore it needs to know each users' timezone.

  • Time stamp dropping seconds

I figure someone has had this problem before but didn't see it in the forum anywhere.  I'm adding a time stamp to a file so I've used the "Get Time/Date in Seconds" and wired that to a "Convert to DBL".  This then wires both into an indicator on the Front Panel and into the "Write to Measurement File" Express VI.
The indicator displays the time stamp just fine but in the file it puts it into scientific notation and cuts off the last 4 digits as well as any fractional seconds.  The time stamp writes to the file every 5 seconds so it is important to have the rest of the time stamp included.  I've tried using probes on the wires to see where things go weird but I get the same truncated value in the wire before and after the indicator.  I thought it had something to do with the Express VI first since the indicator is fine but with it truncated in the wire it seems that the Express VI is indeed saving exactly what is handed to it...but then again the indicator...you can see I've been running in circles over this!  Does anybody know the reason it is doing this and a possible solution?
    Thanks a lot!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I can't post the exact code because it is being developed for use outside our lab but I've recreated the basics of the problem.  The array would be the collected data and except some filename details and things like that everything relevant to the time and saving is included.  Also settings in the express VI are the same.  Not sure if it will help out.

  • Convert time to number and number to time

    I'm using SAP 4.0b
I'm looking for function that converts time to number and number to time.
    Any suggestion?

    Hi,
Can you give an example of what number you want to give to get what time and vice-versa?
There can be a direct conversion between an integer and a time variable in ABAP.
    For example -
    data: number type i,
          time type syuzeit.
    number = 3600.
    move number to time.
    write time.
The time will be output as "01:00:00". That is because 3600 seconds make up one hour.

  • How to display song time in minutes/seconds??

I know that there is a very simple answer to this however, I cannot find it...
Is there a way to display the song time in minutes/seconds rather than SMPTE clock in the transport??
    Thanks

Wait a second... I guess it's not the time afterall..
I guess the closest I can get to a solution is to select "Display Locators as Time" in the transport???
Yes, unfortunately that seems to be it. I am happy to view a Big bar display for SMPTE as it is more accurate that only minutes and seconds. Looks like that and time in the Bar ruler is the best options for you.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

  • Mac's requesting net time every 30 seconds

We are having an issue with every Mac trying to update it's time every 30 seconds (we can see the network traffic). Is there any way to set this to once a day, or turn it off completely?
    Thanks.

Go to the Date & Time preference pane, and unclick "Set date & Time automatically" to disable the behavior.
Unless it's failing to see its time server and trying multiple sites, it should just be issuing normal NTP traffic.
