please reply
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Pradheep.

HI,
Normally COPA table names : CE1XXXX , CE2XXX , CE3XXX and CE4XXX. Here XXXX is your operating concern name.
when we generate the operating concern system automatically create the COPA tables start with CE1/CE2/CE3/CE4 and ends with your operating concern name.
EX : your operation concern name = IN00.
you table name = CE1IN00.  and CE2IN00 ......
thanks.

  • COPA posting reversal

We are using ECC6, new GL and COPA. SAP modules SD, MM, FI, CO.
A complex posting has been made with a Sales Order automatically generating a Purchase Order which was GRNd and invoices issued. All of the postings were subsequently cancelled or reversed due to errors and omissions and a new sequence of postings made. This happened several times before the users thought they had got it right!
The end result has been that the Revenue, as shown in the KE30 report, is now zero, but the COGS posting still remains.
Can anyone suggest why the COGS posting would not have been reversed along with the finance postings and how we could resolve this?
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks, Abhisek
the sequence of postings was very complex. let me post you the email I got from the Finance user:
History of events leading up to this error.
    u2022     Sales order 979 created.
u2022     And from that PO 4500000941 was raised. 3 lines !
    u2022     The PO was GRNu2019d
u2022     I then matched (Vendor) invoice BAE1286 to the GRN
u2022     Ian raised invoice 90001690 to WUK
u2022     In the following month I received the duty and delivery charge invoice from (freight company), I realised then that the delivery cost generated was 4x the cost of the goods. To correct the problem we had to back out/reverse all the documents and Ian would re-price the delivery charges.
u2022     Ian raised credit note 90001938 to cancel invoice 90001690
u2022     And I reversed out the (Vendor) invoice
u2022     Ian created 3 new lines on PO, now 4, 5 and 6
u2022     I re-posted the test rite invoice and the (Freight) charges to the new lines
u2022     I asked Ian to raise the new invoice in billings due list, however when Ian tried to find it in billings due it wasnu2019t there!
u2022     So again I reversed the (Vendor) and (Freight) invoices from lines 4, 5 and  6. This left the Balance of the order at 0.00 !
u2022     Ian raised another sales order and PO, SO 1723 and PO being 4500001625.
u2022     I posted the (Vendor) invoice and (Freight) charges and from that Ian raised invoice 90001952
At this point I thought that this was job done, however I checked the KE30 and discovered something wrong.
Make sure you run ke30 for the full year to see the results
                   Rev          COGS

Sales doc 1723           67K          63K               (Reason the COGS is 2k
    higher is because of the
    addition (Freight) cost)
    Total               67K          124K
As you can see the COGS is now double to the revenue!
Now it thought that this could be 2 things, either when I did the reversal of the (Vendor) invoice it did not reverse the COGS in KE30, or when the credit note reversed it did not reverse the COGS in KE30 ?
On PO 4500000941 invoice cancelled the posting and tried to raise another credit but this time a stock credit in the hope that it would reverse the COGS posting.  Credit note 90002063 was raised however it did not reverse the GOGS. And it has now left us in a worst state than before, please see below.
                   Rev          COGS

    Sales doc 1723           67K          63K
    Total                0K          124K
What I advised Ian to do is to cancel sales doc 60000079 (credit note 90002067) so we are back in this position, I had to do this as the sale ledger for (our operating concern) did not balance we had to 1 to may credits raised. (Operating Concern) account is now o.k and we are back in this position with the KE30

We have raised endless amounts of reversals, credits notes, new POu2019s that it is totally confusion in the document flow so I donu2019t want to go down the route of doing anymore however we need to fix the COGS ?
A reason why the COGS never reversed is maybe because the original PO was cancelled (trash cans next to each line) before we raised the credits ?
Is there away we can manually credit 67K in the COGS for Test rite ?
I think you can see why I'm calling for help! Will KE21N allow them to make a posting that will create the credit they need?
    Thanks for your time.

  • Determine copa posting

    hi,
1 may i know if ke4i and kei2 to allow the value directly post to copa table without have to do top down?
2 may i know what other tcode besides ke4i and kei2 to make value directly post to copa table.
    thanks

    These transaction are customizing transactions.
First do a analysing what you want to report in CO-PA.
besed on that you can define your Atribute and Value field.
Then the next step is how to fill these fields, the fields are filled based on the sales conditions, perhaps you want have some field from product costing then you set-up an other table
Have a look in the SAP Documentation:

  • COPA Posting date

    Hello friends,
The posting date field COPA is giving the last date of the month and not the actual date .
Does anyone know how this field can be set to give the actual date on which the posting has occurred .Or if there is a alternate field available that can provide this information.
COPA has a field as 'created on' but I believe that it will give the date on which the document was created on and not the date on which additional costs were added .
    Thanks

COPA cube and datasource are the custom made.
The field "Date on Which Record Was Created" - HZDAT from table CE12000 can provide me the relevant information .But this field is not available in the extract structure.
Does anybody know how I can get this field in extract sturucture?
    Thanks.

  • Movement type post to COPA or not?

    Dear all,
Can any one tell me how to control if a movement type posted to COPA or not?
For example, movement type 201 (GI for cost center) only posted to cost center, movement type 901 (GI scrapping COPA) posting to COPA.
Actually I want to set one movement type for writeoff that posting to Cost Center and COPA.
    Is it possible? And how?
    Thanks a lot.
    Kevin

    Hi AP,
Yes, the COPA is active. Actually we already have posting to COPA.
My question is, material document for some movement types can post to COPA, and for other movement types can post to Cost Center.
I would like to know how to config the posting to COPA or Cost Center, and is it possible to post to COPA and Cost Center.
    Thanks.

  • How to check COPA Data in R/3

    Hi Experts,
There are some entries of COPA posted in BW are incorrect. Business wants to know who has posted these entries in R/3 . Could you please suggest me some transactions codes of R/3 for COPA related data so that I can investigate it.
The problem is with Profit Center and Sales District Data there are some extra entries for Profit centers not relevant to the Sales District assigned.
Reward points would not be a problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    BW USER

    Hi,
Your records are in BW ?????do you have the CO_PA documnets number with you.???
then go to KE24 or KE25 as mentioned and here you can give the CO-PA doc number you will get a list of records just double on the recprds and it will take you the respective COPA docs....andhere check what is enetry maintained in the sales district field...and you can verifye whether the postings are correct or not.
These transactions are fast enough then the SE12 and RSA3.
try to give as much selection as possible when looking in KE24.
    Thanks

  • Too many lines for CO-PA assessment postings in KSB1

    Hi Experts,
I created an assessment cycle in KEU1, with one segment, using an PA transfer structure (several cost elements to several value fields), and I´m using one single secondary cost element (category 42) to credit the cost centers.
When I execute the assessment via KEU5, the credits in the cost centers for the cost element category 42 generates too many lines (for example, I had 3 postings to 3 primary cost elements and in KSB1 I have 9 lines of "credits" - operation KSPA.):
    Primary Cost Elements:
    4110201004  ==> 3.000,00
    4110209009  ==> 2.000,00
    4110209013  ==> 1.000,00
Secondary cost element (after settlement through KEU5):
    6519999999 ==> 134,36-
                                198,92-
                                190,49-
                                291,54-
                                548,27-
                                311,88-
                                2.659,89-
                                1.268,02-
                                396,63-
Do you know how can I summarize this postings to have only 3 (ore one) line for the secondary cost element? I cannot identify what was the criteria used by SAP to generate 9 lines.
    Kind Regards
    Mayumi

the number of line item crediting the cost centre, shall be the same of the line item required in the COPA posting. So the more receiver you have in COPA , the more line item are created.

  • Material ledger close period best-practice

    Hi experts:
I am thinking about the model when you actívate material ledger actual cost. During the period we will be valuating our COGS according to the standard cost. During the close period, I understand that you can allocate the differences (for material already sold) directly to COPA. It means that we can allocate posting to accounts from account determination 'COC'  directly to the cost object that were allocated in the origin. Is that correct?
Then, It would be only necessary to use COPA post-valuation if you need to break down the differences according to product-costing. is that correct?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Best regards
      Jose

    Hi,
It is possible to reopen a previously closed  period.   This is at your own risk.
However, it is not something that we can recommend because there is a possibility that inconsistencies occur. If you decide to proceed with the process please review the documentation of program RMMMINIT (SE38)
Please refer to the notes 487381 & 369637 in relation to this program.  Also review note 70545
You should make sure that you intialize the period via program RMMMINIT as soon as possible to make sure that you will
not create more inconsistencies. I understand that you may encounter error MM017 when running this report. You should bypass this message via debugging.

  • KE30 report display in company cod currency

    Hi,
    We have two company code:
    1. In China, currency:CNY, controlling area:A  operatiing concern:C,   Operating concern currency is :CNY
    2. In HK: currency:HKD, controlling area:B  operating concern:C
So two company codes having different currency, two controlling area, but same operating concern.
Now for HK company code, every COPA posting, have two lines in CE1R***, one with currency:CNY with currency type:01 operating concern currency, one with currency:HKD with company code currency.
My question is for KE30 report, for HK company code, how to directly show in HKD? If using currency translation, the number will not show correctly.
    Thanks.

    HI,
the report creation/definition must be made for operating concern currency (CNY) and comp. code currency, this allows to select the currency type (10 or B0) during report execution.  Zhis happens when you are executing KE31 to create a new report and cannot be changed if the report is already created.
If your report was only created for operating concern currency you cannot display comp. code currency values.
    Best regards, Christian

  • Creating a Maintenance Order

I have seen before where a serive order for omponent repair that acted just like a sales order (delivery documents, COPA Posting, collection of material pricing and labor charging, etc) To bring the material in was movemement type 531 E with a 261 to issue back to customer and the order was TECO.  Has anyone done this scenerio before and if so, what were the steps?

Ok.  I've actually figured out how this works.
I'll post what I've found out in case it helps anyone else.
The parameters seem to be: ( with my example data in brackets)
    I_AUFNR – order number
    I_VAPLZ – work center ( MAINT.)
    I_VAWRK – plant ( 0001)
    I_PLNTY – Task list type = ( A )
    I_PLNNR – Task list group ( 55)
    I_PLNAL – Task list group counter ( 1)
The problem I have is that this bapi is not released, and it is not remote enabled.
Are there any released BAPIs that would do the same thing?
Or would I need to write my own remote-enabled BAPI that calls this one, and then try to call my BAPI ( using .NET Connector ) ?
    Thanks,
    Derek

  • WBS element integration with Trade Claims Management Module

    Hi All,
anybody knows if Trade Clams Management module of CRM is integrated with management of WBS elements?
We actually want to post the amounts paid to customers through Trade Claims Management into CO-PA; we're trying to understand if using WBS element is a viable solution. Moreover if this is the case i'd be curious also to understand how COPA posting of accruals would work.

  • Sales Order in CO-PA & BI

    Hi,
I would like to know if when a Sales Order is cancelled in SAP whether or not it is reflected as a separate line item in CO-PA or in BI. This means that when a Sales Order is originally booked a line item is posted in SAP and when the cancellation is booked another line item is posted with a negative sign.
    Thanks

In every case that I've worked on COPA, the order settlement didn't occur until after revenue recognition. When a credit was issued, the reference document on CE1XXXX would be different, because it's in effect a different billing document, but the sales order would remain the same with negative values and quantities to reflect the credit.
In general, however, I'd have to say that anytime a sales order is canceled, and not physically deleted, then negative numbers should be passed to CE1XXXX for that order (if Record Type = A settlement is being done in your R3/ECC environment). Should the sales order be physically deleted in R3/ECC, I don't believe that the COPA posted would be reversed unless it's done manually (if done manually in R3/ECC, you should capture that as well).

  • Problem on using T-Code KEFC

    Experts ,
These days, I am trying to insert as many lines as possible to COPA table ( CE1XXXX) in order to perfrom some performance test. However, I meet some problems, after struggling for several days, I come here to beg for help. Any response is appreciated. Here is my records.
1,  I choose EDT to insert data to COPA table, so KEFC is recommended.
2,  I self-made a script tool to generate .csv files with the lines like "aaa;bbb;ccc;...;" and then uploading .csv files through KEFC
3,  Uploading .csv files through KEFC works! but it seems that KEFC doesn't support uploading BIG .csv files.
According to my experience, it supports less than 10MB-size csv files. (maybe influenced by hardware condition)
4, So I have to upload 10MB-size .csv files one by one through KEFC
5, But when the COPA table becomes bigger, the speed of uploading become slower and slower.  Now a 10MB-size .csv file cost half an hour to be uploaded compared with the orignal 15 minutes.
6, I am trying to set some background jobs to pipeline these uploading works and release ourselves, but the created job always be forced to cancel with the following error:
25.10.2011 16:43:07 Background processing and local files are not allowed                        GD           337          E
7, We guess the above error is caused by the subscreen which jumps out after we clicking "execute" and inquiry users's selection.
so we want to temporarialy modify the source code of KEFC to avoid that subscreen... but finally we have to give up espencially because it causes headache.
8, Now, we are still struggling to upload .csv files through KEFC one by one with more than half an hour each, and the worse news is the cost cost still increase but we still have hundreds of .csv files to be uploaded.
9, We appreciate any response and help. Thank you very much!
Finally, SAP Network is great, I hope one day I can also be a solution providor. I will : )

    Hi
How will your real time scenario be? Its better if we simulate that
    you must estimate like this
    a. No of invoices from SD that may be raised
    b. Any manual postings from FI or other misc postings from MM
    c. Montlly Order settlements to COPA posting variances
    d. Any assessment cycle from CO to COPA for marketing overheads - estimate the no of segments you will be distributing upon
Based on this estimate, sit with your basis guy and do the server sizing accordingly.... Use Summarization levels in COPA to improve performance

  • KEFC - How value fields are determined ?

    Hi Experts,
We just upload a file through transaction KEFC & it does automatic COPA postings . We want to understand how value fields & other relevant items in COPA posting are determined when we post through this transaction.
We went through KEFA & KEFB configurations but could not determine how values in text file are assigned to COPA Value fields.
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Hi,
Let me try to answer your query since it is still unanswered.
From the upload file, COPA revenue and other sales value into the value fields.
If you have selected button for Valuation in KEFC screen, you will get all the cost components values of the cost estimate in the mapped value fields. This configuration is carried out
IMG -> Controlling -> Profitability Analysis -> Master Data -> Valuation -> Valuation using Material Cost Estimate.
Here you can select the point of valuation, for which material type and mapping of cost components to the value fields. I hope that I have answered your query. Let me know if not.
    Cheers and Thanks in advance.

  • Order settlement for MAP WIP Materials

    Hello gurus
We can able to settle the production order for the standard price and MAP materials, but the COPA posting is happening only for standard price materials.
    Is it SAP standard ?
How can we reconcile the MAP materials without COPA Posting
Any SAP HELP or Documenting or any OSS guidance will be highly appreciated
    Thanks
    JJ

    Hi,
By "planned goods issues" I mean requiement quantities of materials, listed in component overview of the production order are planned whether items are copied from BOM or entered manually. These items form a part of the planned costs of the order. You can see planned costs of the order in CO03 from Goto-Costs-Analysis. Part of costs of planned goods issues are left as WIP in proportion with order quantity minus delivered quantity. However if a material is consumed without being planned, cost of whole consumption is left in WIP. This may be what you are facing.
    Regards.
