Order settlement for MAP WIP Materials

Hello gurus
We can able to settle the production order for the standard price and MAP materials, but the COPA posting is happening only for standard price materials.
Is it SAP standard ?
How can we reconcile the MAP materials without COPA Posting
Any SAP HELP or Documenting or any OSS guidance will be highly appreciated
Thanks
JJ

Hi,
By "planned goods issues" I mean requiement quantities of materials, listed in component overview of the production order are planned whether items are copied from BOM or entered manually. These items form a part of the planned costs of the order. You can see planned costs of the order in CO03 from Goto-Costs-Analysis. Part of costs of planned goods issues are left as WIP in proportion with order quantity minus delivered quantity. However if a material is consumed without being planned, cost of whole consumption is left in WIP. This may be what you are facing.

  • Process order settlement for materialwith 2 valuation types

    Hi ,
In chemical mfg scenario there is co product which has 2 valuation types.
The cost of mfg to be split i nratio of 60 :40 .  But this co product has 2 valaution types and hence there is problem in order settlement .In the settement rule there is no option for this.
Can i map this in SAP ?

  • Production order settlement to post wip

    Hi,
My understanding on production order settlement is to carry out 2 task :
variance posting in the case the operation is complete
    cr p&l change in stock
    dr p&l price difference
    and also
WIP posting in the case the operation is not complete yet.
    cr p&l change in stock
    dr balance sheet wip
WIP calculation is done in KKAX / KKAO and posting is done in KO88.
Now my question is, in KO88 setting I do not see any setting to tell the system to do the WIP posting. I only can see the setting to post to variance only.
and OKG8 is to set which account to post to.
So how KO88 know to post WIP?
    Thanks

    Hi,
KO88 transaction code is used for both WIP and Variance settlement.
It is the Order status which decides whether KO88 settles variances or WIP.
When the Order status is Released, Partially delivered, Partially released, KO88 gives you WIP
When the status is Delivered or TECO it gives Variances.  Hence this is the link which we establish in the WIP configuration OKGC and in OKG8 we link the GL accounts for WIP.
For variance we assign in OBYC, PRD transaction

  • To get open order quantity for list of materials

    Hi Gurus,
I have a typical requirement for development of 1 function module and below are the details for it:
I want to have the open order quantity (pending for delivery & PGI) for materials by entering sold-to-party, ship-to-party and sales organisation.
Can i get list of all the materials when are open with the quantity of that materials which are yet to be delivered. And I have only ship-to-party and sales organisation as input parameter.
I would prefer if standard function module is available or I would also like to have some code or logic to ful fill the above requirement. And also I would like to inform you that I have check VA05 transaction and it is not useful to me as it does not take into consideration partial delivery. I have also check backorder list transaction V_05 and it is not useful too.
Please reply me fast as I am in urgent requirement of this.
If you are not clear in requirement then please let me know.
    Regards,
    Sagar

    Rich,
    No.
This is for creating custom VA01 transaction.
Before creating the SO, I need to validate the minimum order quantity for each material for that customer.
    Thanks

  • MRP - Create Planned Orders only for Externally Procured Materials

    Dear All,
We have a scenario that our client gives us the daily requirement schedule for the current month and a monthly forecast for future months so that we can plan our externally procured materials based on the forecast.
Now I only want the MRP run to create Planned Orders for HALB and FERT based on my current months daily schedule and planned orders for ROH (Externally Procured) based on the next months forecast (monthly).
I dont want the system to create planned orders for HALB and FERT from the forecast. The requirement for the ROH are however derived from the Finished Good BOM and the forecast is also given for the FERT material. I know its a long shot but is there a possibility in the system to do such a thing or a work around?

Your business case is not clear; MRP will create planned orders for inhouse produced materials, and either planned orders or purchase requisitions for external procurement.
You can choose to convert or release external procurement for a long time ahead (eventhough taht if you have proper lead times defined you can release by lead time), but convert inhouse planned orders to production orders only for next period (week, month). Actually this is common practice.
So I fail to understand your problem.

  • Order settlement for Low value asset

    Dear all,
In Global company the depreciation area 01 is where depreciation for USGAAP is calculated. The depreciation are 30 is where the BRGAAP depreciation is calculated.
    When I need to buy an asset I create the asset, create an internal order, assign the internal order to a Purchase order and after invoice receiving I settle the internal order.  The internal order already created  in it settlement rule have one AUC and the asset created in the first step;
The problem is there are some assets that for BRGAAP they depreciate but for USGAAP they are expense.  If I deactivate the depreciation area 01 when I run Ko88 to settle the order the system issues the error  message "Error during acquisition transfer: Depr. area does not exist". Of Course this area is deactivated.
My question is How is the solution when I don't want to have the depreciation of depreciation area 01 but I want to have the postings of other depreciation areas ?  Can I have a specific asset class different of the others depreciation areas where I can have only my BRGAAP ? How ?
    Regards

    Hi,
To do this, use transaction code OAYZ.  In there, for the asset class and depreciation area where you do not want dep posting to happen, select the depreciation key "0000". The depreciation will not be calculated.
    Cheers.

  • Internal Order Settlement for Orders with Revenues

    Hi
How do you set up the system to allocate costs only to a cost centre and not the revenue for internal orders with revenues. Any help is greatly appreciated.

In the allocation structure you have give source cost elements .. there give only Cost Elements/group of cost elements which are relating to expenses.. .. then only expenses will be settled .

  • Forwarding order settlement for customer charge

    Dear All,
I created one sales order in ECC and transfered it to TM system. After than I created freight order. Also I created forwarding agreement document for ordering party which is same as in the sales order. But I can not create forwarding settlement document for this freight order. It doesn't come overview forwarding settlent document transaction, just I can see forwarding orders which are created in TM system directly. Please help is there any addition customizing for orders which are coming from ECC?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ali

    Hi Mike
Do you mean although it is charged it customer, we need to use freight agreement? Because SAP help is saying that for customer change, you should use forwarding settlement. If I am wrong, please explain your scenario step by step

  • After production order settlement, where does the cost go?

    Dear Experts,
I understand after we did the "order settlement" for production order, the cost will be settled to material manufactured from the said production order.  Say, the total cost is $10,000 to produce 1000 units of finished goods (FG), then the cost settled to each individual FG at $10 each, am I right?  Where can I see the settled cost in the material master?..
I checked in the cost center report, S_ALR_87013611, I can see the cost Credited from "production" cost center with a breakdown in settlement cost element such as machine hour, setup and personnel hour.  I understand the other side of Debit was to the production order, and only after order settlement, I'm not sure which cost center will be Debited.
That would be the CO side, how about the FI, would there be any cost posted to the GL side after production order settlement to the material?
    Please advise..
    regards,
    Abraham

    Hi Abraham,
It's not the button i mentioned. I was just trying to take u to the accounting document from the settlement screen. well just drill down the settlement screen and u'll get it. No big deal.
But more important is the concept. I'll share my understanding here. (cost by production order)
Any value that flow into controlling module should have a cost object. Here production order is the cost object.
First u create a production order (cost object) for say 1 unit of X with a std price of Rs. 10
Std price comes frm material master as a result of std cost estimate
    U start production - Raw materials are consumed - 2 qty x Rs.3.
Entry RM Consumption Dr Rs. 6    Inventory Cr Rs.6 (Prod order is debited with Rs.6)
Activity (Let's say machine hours - 3 Hrs x Rs.2) According to the routing it was  2 hrs but actual production took 3 hrs.
Entry - None - But production order is debited with Rs. 6.
When production is complete for 1 qty of X, entry flows
Finished Goods Dr Rs.10    Change in Stock  Cr. Rs.10  (Production order is credited with Rs.100
Abraham, now visualise both sides of the production order. It will have debit of Rs.12 and credit of Rs.10.
Now accountant sees the production order and confirms the values are ok and puts the status of TECO to the order. which means the order is technically complete.
Now when u run the order settlement, this production order is picked up by the system (due to it's status). System sees difference between debit and credit of Rs 2.
So it cedits the production order with Rs. 2. Now both debit and credit of production order is equal (Rs.12)
Entry Price diff A/c Rs,2     Change is stock A/c Rs.2
Now this rs. 2 is settled to COPA. It does not flow to material.
Reason:  in a std costing system materials are valued at standard cost and
Hope this helps. Do revert in case of doubts.
    Best Regards

  • Prd Order Settlement Issue

    Hi all,
While carrying out production order settlement for a production order, the system is determining the wrong GL A/C. Well it's deriving the GL A/C which does not exist. I need to change this assignment to a valid GL A/C. How am I suppose to fix this?
It's an MTO order, settlement cat. SDI. I'm not sure why the settlement rule is SDI for this specific order too, normally it should be MAT.
    Regards,
    G. Coelho

The valuation now is for sales order is incorrect.   SDI means that the sales order stock is non-valuated and sales order is used to capture the costs.  This is because the requirement class of the sales order is incorrect.
First check the requirement type in sales order (VA03).  In procurement tab of the first main screen, it will show the requirement type for your sales order item.
Then check t-code OVZH, there will be a link between requirement type and requirement class.
Then check OVZG to check the requirement class.
(If you want to change, use the config.path Controlling -> Product Cost Controlling -> Cost Object Controlling -> Product Cost by Sales order -> Control for Sales-order-related Production... -> Check requirement class.  Howeiver, this should be done after you consult with SD and CO consultant)
You will see the your requirement class.  Check whether account assignment cat., and valuatio are both set to M (ind.cust.order w/o CO, and valuated sales order stock).  I suspected that a sales order per your issue is set to non-valuated stock (Account Assignment E, valuation blank).
    Hope it helps.

  • Prodn. order settlement

    Dear Friends,
we have done the order settlement of period April (i.e.period 1 for fiscal yr 2008) as well as May (i.e.period 2 for fiscal yr 2008).
Now the issue is that our user has not shown the consumption of one of the raw material for FG produced in the April month and now they have done the consumption against that order with posting period of May.
so how can I reverse the order settlement for this particular order.
we have tried through KO88 with different permutations but it is not allowing to do the same.
please revert for this issue as it is on priority basis.
full points will be awarded for the relevent answers.
    Regrads
    Amitabh

    Hi Amit,
You have to cascade the reversals; first reverse May then you can reverse April. I checked out the ERP financials forum and if you search for the 'settlement reverse'  thread there, you will find details.

  • Make-to-order: COPS for  KMAT materials (Non-valuated sales stock)

    Hello,
We are working with KMAT configurable material (i.e. non valuated sales order stock).
The client is requiring that inventory of these KMAT material should be shown in the financial accounting;however as we work with KMAT, this seems not possible.
    The whole process is:
    - taking of the sales order with the configuration
    - MRP and Production order Execution
    - Settlement of the PO to the sales order
    - Settlement of the Sales orden to a given account in FI (just like "stock for customer order") - inventory.
The problem we are facing now is how to make the compensation of this account once the product is delivered.
It seems the sales order's default settlement receiver is only the PSG. can we have to use the result analysis key to calculate the cost of sales, and which valuation method can we use if I only want to settle the actual cost that settled from the production order.
By the way, I have search for the notes:Note 26459  it seems we have to run the sales cost estimate first for the KMAT.
    Summary
    Symptom
It is not possible to perform results analysis on sales order items with materials of material type KMAT.
    Additional key words
    Transactions KKA3, KKAK
    Cause and prerequisites
In make-to-order production, the inventory and the cost of sales are not posted through goods movements because the materials are managed in a non-valuated sales order stock. The only way to create postings in FI is to use results analysis (see Note 26456). If the sales order item consists of a material of material type KMAT, results analysis is not possible because no cost estimate exists for this material.
    Solution
Results analysis must be performed with a valuation method that uses profit basis C. With this profit basis, the system uses the planned costs of the production orders for the sales order instead of a cost estimate for the KMAT material.
In Release 2.2 a modification is needed for this which is described in Note 25772. In Release 3.0 this function is provided as standard.
From 3.0C onwards the planned costs of the sales order can also be calculated in a product cost estimate for the sales order. You should use profit basis E in this case.
However, if you are using assembly processing with production orders, you can only use profit basis C.
Hope the scenario is clear. Perhaps you have a different approach to work with KMAT materials.

    Hi Friends,
Can you please provide the solution for my problem and its slight urgent.

  • Material Code for Process Order Settlement document

    HI,
When Process Order to a material having Standard Price is settled, the following entry is passed.
    Inventory Change A/C Debit/Credit
    Price difference A/C Debit/Credit
It is being obeserved that in the line item of FI document for the Inventory Change the material code appears in the Price difference line items whereas for Inventory Change line item the material code does not appear.
I want to know why this happens ?
    Regards
    Partha

    Using warehouse management /WM) :
    - Create a control cycle for the component, using LPK1. Here you define if the supply will be specific for the order (when weighing takes place in the warehouse) or for released orders (normallu full packages of components and weighing is done at plant level). Reference to a supply area.
    - The resource used in the operation has a reference to the supply area.
    - Components have material master views in WM for the selected storage type
Then, when releasing the orders run LP10 - LP12 to generate the Transfer requirements for the raw materials. These TR will be converted to Transfer Orders and Confirmed, so the stock will be moved to your supply area.
Using Inventory Management, none of the above is required. You can use MF60 to move materials from General Storage Location to Shop Floor SLoc.

  • Settlement for month-end closing, individual production or sales order

    Dear SAP Experts,
    Our style is MTO.
In month-end closing, we follow to make a settlement for production orders:
    1. CO43   -- Actual overhead calculation (collective processing)
    2. KSU5   -- Actual allocations Assessment
    3. KSII     -- Actual Price Calculation
    4. CON2  -- Revaluation at actual prices (collective processing)
    5. KKAO -- WIP calculation (collective processing)
    6. CO88  -- Production order settlement (collective processing)
    Question:
    1. What kind accounts will be effected after above each step?
    2.  does individual production settlement need step 1-4 in above?
        1. KKAX (Work in Process)
        2. KO88 (Settlement)
        Is those enough?
    3. What kind account will be effected after va44 processing?
    Any tips will be welcome.
    Zhou Zhen

    Hi,
The value flow completely different for each of the MTO Scenario.
I need to know what kind of MTO scenario you have.
is it MTO - Valuated Sale Order without Sale Order Controlling
Is it MTO - Valuated Sale Order with Sale Order Controling
is it MTO- Non-valuated Sale Order (Sale Order controlling is mandatory)
based on this the value flows and the transaction that need to be executed will differ.
The way you explained i presume that it could be any of the first two scenarios.
in such case, the value flows are as good as make to stock scenario. Only in the third scenario, the value flow completely changes
For 1. What kind accounts will be effected after above each step?
all the accounts relevant for Make to Stock will get affected. But the the scenario is MTO - Valuated Sale Order with Sale Order Controling, the the variances from production order is settled to Sale order instead of settling to COPA.
For 2. does individual production settlement need step 1-4 in above?
All the steps from 1 to 6 are necessary for any of the above 3 scenarios
For 3. What kind account will be effected after va44 processing?
This is for calculating the overheads on the sale order. in this case, the sale order is a controlling object. once this t.code is executed, you can see the oh being calculated on the sale order
Hope this will give some good isight in to various MTO scenarios
    Best Regards
    Surya
