Copy Plot to Clipboard?

Hello,
Is there a way of copying an individual plot from View or Report to the clipboard please? (I know you can copy the whole Report page to the clipboard).

Hi Brad,
Thank you for the reply. I had thought of using a screen capture tool, which I'll now do, I just wanted to check if there was a more elagant way of doing it.
I will add this to the ideas list - it is such a simple thing I'm really suprised DIAdem cannot do it. I must admit, for the ~£6k we spent on our concurrent professional license I would really expect it to

Signed Applet JTextField copy to system clipboard

Hi all,
We have a signed and deployed our JAR file that contains our applet following the instructions listed at:
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3/docs/rsa_signing.html
We used Thwate as our CA. All seemed good.
However any JTextFields that are in our applet cannot access the system clip board. Looking at the source for JTextComponent it should have access to the system clipboard if the securitymanager allows it.
The strange thing is that if I call getToolkit().getSystemClipboard() from our applets I can access the clipboard and copy to the system clipboard. Even the code in JTextComponent that checks for system clipboard access (canAccessSystemClipboard) works fine when pasted into the applet.
Why cant a JTextField copy to the clipboard? Has anyone else come across this?

Juste an idea.... Is your JTextField belonging to the javax.swing.... packages ?
Or did you compile using some com.ms , ibm.... sun... package ? This could lead to some different implementations.

For my GUI app. I would like to enable different types of information to copied to the clipboard.
e.g. object type 1 - Document ID ( actual row's document ID from JTable ) - to copy document type
object type 2 - string representation ( columns texts from JTable ) - to copy to excel
I would like to keep them general, with different possible combinations
among them ( up to 10 different object types ), according to some specs.
Has anybody idea, if it is possible ? ( prefarably with 1.4 D&D interface ).
Data are packed in createTransferable() call, but it allows just 1 format (?) ...
Maybe I can use some 'envelope' format holding all possible information,
but that idea doesn't looks nice for me :(

Thanks for your help. For drag & drop it's fine. System will ask for 'best' format as I expect.
How is it with clipboard ? I had idea to copy table columns as a "text" flavor
( for paste into excel ) and user created flavor "id" with documentId inside.
On paste I would take 'what's better' ( e.g. as a document reference better would be better my "id" flavor,
because that information doesn't need to be in table cells inside ).
Maybe I will have to use 'own' clipboard for these reasons.

CIC - Copy to the clipboard

Hello,
When user, on transaction CIC (l-shape), click on the ISU-Finder to find a BP by giving a premise number it should copy to the clipboard the BP when i click on the checkmark button. This part is build by SAP.
I am trying to copy the Premise to the clipboard by using user-exit EXIT_SAPLEECIC_COMP00_001. I tried many attempts by using SAP function modules in order to create a Business Object Premise and add the element to the clipboard.
I tried FMs such as :
CALL FUNCTION 'CIC_EVENT_RAISE'
     EXPORTING
          event = 'ADD_XTAINER_TO_BDD'
          p1     = xtain
     EXCEPTIONS
          OTHERS = 99.
When i used this one, i got an item in the clipboard but it said : Uninitiliazed Business Process Unit.
Does somebody have to code a 'Copy to Clipboard' for a businness object.

E71 - Copy text to clipboard from from html reader...

I could not copy text to clipboard from
- Web page, html readers,
- Web feed reader
- Email reader. (if I choose reply or forward, then I can copy text)
How to do it?

U can not even copy link on html reader or

Receive error: There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred.

I receive the message "There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred." when I highlight anything and copy to the clipboard. I've searched and found others with the same issue, but they were either on an older OS, Acrobat ver, or their issue was intermittent. My issue always occurrs and I cannot copy anything to the clipboard.
I'm running Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 and Acrobat Pro 9.4.4. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Safari copy wipes the clipboard

Anyone else have this in Safari 4 for Windows?
I use Safari at work, often copying and pasting text; in Safari 4 I have noticed an issue that when I have text in the clipboard and use the keyboard shortcut to paste the text into a text box on a web page.
Here's what happens, I first have some text I copied into the clipboard, when I accidentally hit Ctrl-C instead of Ctrl-V the clipboard gets wiped out as Safari copies a null amount of text into the clipboard, thus if I realize my mistake and try to do a Ctrl-V my previously copied text has disappeared from the clipboard and nothing pastes.
Yeah I know I should learn to type better, ha ha, but we all occasionally make mistakes and it's infuriating when this happens. I am sure this was not the behaviour Safari 3 and also this issue does not occur in FireFox and I think most other browsers out there.
I clean installed Safari on a new install of Windows on a virtual machine and was able to recreate the issue.
Any thoughts?

Append copyright text to copied text in clipboard

Is it possible in RH6 to append a copyright string to the
text that a user has just copied to the clipboard, so that when
they paste it, they get the text they copied, plus the copyright
string? The old WinHelp application that I am converting to HTML
help had this feature - I believe the old project was authored in
RoboHelp, but have no idea on how they included the copyright
string. I haven't found anything in the help that references
functionality like this, nor have I found anything online.

Is there any limitations in Finder when copying files using clipboard?

One day I was moving my photos from one folder to another and accidently discovered that not all of my files are copied!
What I was doing (I'm using Finder):
- Go into folder
- Cmd+A to select all files
- Cmd+C to copy them into clipboard
- Cmd+V to paste them in new location
Every folder contain about 10k files, but (I did some checks) copy operation copied only 2-3k. Every time different amount.
It was so unexpected!
Does anybody know what does it mean??

There is no clipboard limit that I'm aware of. I have copied folders containing tens of thousands of files with no problem. Seems like a bug in the OS.
Just a question, why are you copying your files when you could just drag&drop them from one folder to the other?

Copy diagram to clipboard for sql server 2012 the row did not appear when paste in paint

i've been trying to create database diagram on my database on sql server 2012 platform. i can create the diagram, but when copy it to clipboard and try to paste it on paint, only the tables name appear without all the columns name. any idea how can i paste
it to have information for both tables name and columns name as well.i've no issue creating diagram and paste on paint for my sql server 2008.

According to your description, SQL 2012 database diagram is not printed correctly and several of column names are missed. There are some suggestions for troubleshooting this issue, you can refer to the following steps.
1. We recommend you can copy database diagram to Word and check if it will print correctly.
2. When printing database diagrams, several of the tables contain large grey squares instead of the column names. We recommend switch Windows XP computer from Classic theme to Windows XP theme, and check if it can print correctly.

Copy image from clipboard

Is there any way to find out about type of image that you are coping from clipboard. Because i receive only this type image/x-java-image. I need to know if image is jpg or png.

read the OP, OK then. "image/x-java-image", not application/x-java-file-list.
the question was "what type of image was
copied to the clipboard". if it was pixel/raw data
then whether or not it was jpg or png is what's
irrelavent. That is what I said in my first post. "image/x-java-image" is what Java return when you copy a Image (print screen, open Paint select, copy etc).
When you copy a File it returns a List of Files.
i felt it was obvious that this was a
file (which is still an image) and not pixel buffer
data.It sounds to me like the OP has copied an image from an image program (or hit print screen). At which point it is a raw pixel buffer.

Help copy websites to clipboard then paste to Facebook

Hi...
How can I copy and paste all the web pages I want to paste into Facebook. In my Touchpad.
When I click on website address, at top of page, it, correctly,highlights the whole address, however, in the drop down menu, on the left, there is no edit option with copy past etc.
Also, the only other way I found, is to try send link, then try copy the link in the email send, however, that email has the text of the name of the web page, supplying a link to the page. So I cannot paste to Facebook from the email.
Am I getting it wrong.
can I ask feature to copy web address to clipboard.
Also is there an easy way to copy web address to clipboard so can paste facebook.

Here's how I do it:
Tap and hold my finger on the link. Depending on how long you hold it can produce two results - for me, it usually highlights the whole link then the keyboard pops up and the cursor goes into the link. Not a problem, now tap and hold your finger there until the "Select Select All Paste" bubble opens. Tap "Select All" and the link has been copied to the clipboard. Move to where you want it pasted, and just hold your finger on the screen until the same bubble opens. Choose "Paste" and the link will appear.
Once in a while, it works as it should - tap and hold the link, it turns yellow, tap again and the "Copy" option bubble will appear. I think this depends on whether the keyboard is displayed when you tap the link. Keyboard up and you tap & hold = "Cut Copy Paste" dialog, keyboard down = the "Select Select All Paste" dialog.

Nope, the Windows clipboard only save one item at a time. Copy something and the previous "copy" is gone. You would need a Windows program that saves multiple clipboard entries.

Lost " Copy Address To Clipboard" feature

I am running Mail 1.3 under Jag 10.3.9. In Mail I used to be able to highlight an email address in the header of an email and a pop up menu came up and one of the choices was " Copy Address To Clipboard". I had a problem with apps not opening so my tech guy fixed it but I noticed the system was back to 10. So I updated to up to 10.3.9 where I was before and thought this would solved that . But that feature is still missing. Is this a feature that can be turned on/off somewhere? Any ideas?

Don't know the answer, but FYI this is the Tiger forum. Since you're using Panther, you should go to Mac OS X v10.3 & earlier > Mail & Address Book.
