Copying Certain document types only from project to Solution Directory
Hello,
We are in the process of setting up Solution Directory in Solution Manager 4.0 sp12. After creating a solution we'd like to add scenarios from multiple implementation as well as template projects based on the document type.
We have several document types that we use in various tabs (config, testcase etc) and would like to get only a subset of document types from the soruce projects.
When trying to use the copy options in the pop-up window the copy filter works only on the documentation tab and does not filter the documents in other tab's based on the copy option filter.
Is there anyway we can filter the document types upon copy from project to directory. Please let me know if there is any Badi or User-exit for this functionality as well.
Any Help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Rajesh Sundar
Hi Rajesh,
I just came across this article and I reckon it will answer your question. Please read the section Documents copied when copying a project.

Prevent cross-company code postings for certain document type
Hi all!
I am looking for a possibility to prevent users from posting a "cross-company code posting" just for a certain document type.
I checked validation rules and BTEs but without success. Do you have an idea?
Thanks for any support.
MichaelThanks for your reply. I have already tried to use a validation rule, but without success.
It did not work as the relevant field "New company code" (NEWBK) in not part of BKPF or BSEG, but (only) of structure RF05A. Thus, I cannot use the field in a validation rule.
Or is there a way to make RF05A fields available for use in validation rules?

How to define certain document type (BKPF-BLART) for certain movement (101)
Sometimes ( I think it is becuase of the tcode) certain purchase 101 movements create a WA type FI document and some other times purchase 101 movements create WE type FI documents. I have seen a table ( accessing from omba transaction) in which for diffenent tcode´s we have either WE or WA. If we always use migo transaction why sometimes in bkpf we have migo_tr, migo_gi, ....;....
How should I do in order to create always WE FI documents for purchase 101 movements?
Thanks in advance.Check the settings in SPRO-MM-Inventory Management-Number assignemnt-Define number ranges for accounting documents.
Here you assign accounting document type to tcodes.
Normally , WA is used in receipts for MB1C/MIGO_GI tcode - for e.g for 561 mvmt type.
SAP recomends keeping this setting as it is.
SAP help text copied here for reference:
Define Number Assignment for Accounting Documents
In this step, you set the number ranges for the accounting documents which are created when goods movements or inventory differences are posted.
Accounting documents in inventory management
For accounting-relevant goods movements, the system creates two different documents:
material document
accounting document
Both the material documents and the accounting documents have their own document numbers. When inventory differences are posted, the system also creates an accounting document for the physical inventory document.
In this step, you only maintain the number assignment for accounting documents.
Document types
Accounting documents are split into document types to allow differentiated document number assignment, which is the basis for distinguishing between the various accounting operations. A number range is assigned to each document type. In a company code, you have to define number intervals for each number range and fiscal year.
In inventory management, the transaction determines which document type is used.
Example: Goods receipt for purchase order
Requirements
You have already defined the company code.
Default Settings
In the standard SAP System, the following document types are predefined for inventory management:
WA for goods issues, transfer postings, other goods receipts
WE for goods receipts with reference to purchase orders
WF for goods receipts with reference to production orders
WI for inventory differences
WL for goods issues with reference to deliveries (SD)
WN for net posting of goods receipts
PR for revaluation documents
Each document type is already assigned a number range. In company code 0001, number intervals are defined for each number range both for the current and the previous fiscal year.
Number range 49 with the year-related interval 4900000000 to 4999999999 is assigned to the document types for all goods movements, except goods movements with reference to purchase/production orders.
Document type WE is used for goods receipts with reference to purchase orders and production orders. This document type is assigned number range 50 with the year-related interval 5000000000 to 5099999999.
Please note that net postings of goods receipts (document type WN) are not active in the standard SAP System. If you want to post goods receipts net, you have to assign document type WN (instead of WE) to the transaction MB01.
Document type WI is used for posting inventory differences. This document type is assigned the number range 01 with the year-related interval 0100000000 to 019999999999.
SAP Recommendation
Activities
1. Check whether you can use the standard settings.
2. If not, you have to add new document types to satisfy your requirements:
a) Define a new document type under Financial accounting document
b) types.
c) Assign a number range to the document type.
d) Under Financial accounting number ranges, define the year-related number intervals for the given number range in your company code. If you do not want to use the year-related number assignment method, enter 9999 in the Year field.
e) Under Allocate document type to transaction, assign the relevant document type to the transaction codes of inventory management.
Document type PR (revaluation documents) is already assigned.
Notes on transport
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
All other activities are linked to the automatic transport.

Transfer posting of subcontracting stock with mvt type 541 from project stk
Hi,
we run project MRP and the requirement is raised for subcontracting item also ,after converting the PR into PO when I try to transfer post material in MB1B using 541 ,system shows Error Purchase order does not contain any item even I have material in my project stock, what may be the reason?
Regards
KanthaHello Kantha,
The components which you provide for a vendor are manged in a vendor-related special stock, O. This stock is updated at plant level, becuase material is actually not in your plant. If you want to provide stock to vendor the avialble stock types in subcontracting are from un restricted use and in quality inspection.
When you provide componets to vendor via transfer posting this needs to go from only unrestricted use stock to the stock of material provide to vendor movement type is 541.
So to execute the transfer posting for the stock of material provided to the vendor, you have to specify special indicator O, if not the transfer posting will not differ from normal transfer posting.
Also T-code MBLB will help you in evaluating the stock of material provided. So you need to transfer the stock from project stock to unrestricted stock to carry out the transfer.

PO's Document type created from Shopping Cart
Hi all,
I work on a SRM 5 system with Extend classic scenario.
when I create a PO from a SC, the system assign automatically a document type.
I have to change this assignment.
I already define transaction type for BUS2201, but I'm not able to find where the assigned doc type from SC is.
Thanks
EnzoHi Enzo,
The P.O in SRM has document type has either ECPO or ECDP.
These document types are assigned in the attributes of the root org.
The attributes you maintain in the root org for document types are :
BSA & DP_PROC_TY
You can find the possible document types in SPRO > IMG > SRM > SRM Server > Cross Application basic settings > Define Transaction types
Choose BUS2201 (Transaction category) and click on the Transaction types in the Dialog Structure on the left side. There you can see ECDP & ECPO transaction types.
Hope this makes you more clear. Clarifications are welcome.

Can I copy certain aperture library files from the finder?
Hello,
I have an older library, that I updated to the current Aperture, and recently froze from bad media. I think it was a bunch of videos in one of the events. Anyways, I want to copy some of the photos from a event in the old library to a new working library. Can I do this from finder? I tried exporting and it froze, leaving the photo export in some limbo state...Do you also have iPhoto 9.5.1? If you open your Aperture library in iPhoto you can use "File > Reveal in FInder > Original File" to show you the original image file inside the library. Then you can copy it easily to a new location.
If you do not have iPhoto, you can reveal the original photos by ctrl-clicking the Aperture library and using the command "Show Package Contents". Your images are in the Masters folder, organized by the year, month, day of importing them.
But be careful, when browsing these folders. Only copy, don't move. -
Count the number of a certain document type in a document-set
The Content types allowed in my Document-Set are document type A and document type B. How can I count the number of document type A in the document-set with workflows? I need to know if there is at least one document of type A inside the
document-set. With “Item child count” condition in workflows I can only count the total number of the documents and not the number of specific document type.Hi pax123,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to count the number od the documents based on Content Types.
As a workaround, you can create two columns to store the count of documents for your two content types. Then create a loop action to loop all documents, if content type is equal to your content type A, do a calculate to plus 1 to the numberA, then update
the column numberA. Do a same if condition in the loop for your content type B.
How to loop through all items

I hope this helps.

MR02 exemption to certain Document Types
Hi all,
Greetings of the Day
Iam having a typical problem, I have an Invoice for which TDS has been deducted & TDS Document is generated. Both the Invoice & TDS Documents are Flagged with Payment Block "R".
When I released the Invoice Document and try to make manual Payment to the Vendor, the TDS Document is not getting selected as it is still blocked with Payment Block "R".
When Iam trying to release the TDS Document through MR02, it is not getting released.
So can anyone help me in getting the alternative solution to the above problem. Will substitution for the TDS Doc Type serves the purpose or any other solution can be thinked of.
Point will be given, please reply on priority.
Thanks
SAINTHi,
Are you not able to remove the payment block in either FB02 or MRBR transaction?
Thanks and regards

Repetitive milestone copying in the sales order from Projects
Hi friends,
A particular WBS element with, say 5 milestones with the invoice percentages adding up to 100%, can be assigned to multiple line items in a sales order. Hence the milestones can be copied to each line item. I want to stop this repetitive copying of same milestones. Since each milestone has a particular number attached to it, I want to stop this multiple copying with the help of this milestone number. Is there any user exit for this? Please let me know.
bye
Pratap.VHi Pratap,
I couldn't find the exact user exit for your query but the below link shows some of the user exits related to milestone billing methods, may it help you .

How to create Document Structure for existing project in Solution Manager
Hi gurus
We have all the project document saved using Solution manager . we have ended with Phase1.
We are starting Phase2 and they are asking me to creat different folder as Phase to in existing project and store all the Documents
Can any one please tell me how to create New folder and store the documents in Existing project
Point will given for helpfull Answer
Thanks
BhaskarHi Bhaskar,
Assuming you have full authorisations, the procedure is simple.
Please go SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN transaction.
From the menu please select Project -> Copy
In the ensuing screen, key in your desired project name, scroll through the other checkboxes to see if you are happy with the default choices; if not, take corrective actions.
In the last set of radi buttons "Desired behaviour at later version comparison", the default choice (2nd entry there - Adjust target project to the original of the source project) is fine.
From your scenario, since you do not have a Template -> Implementation Project functionality and instead are copying from one Implementation to the other, this radio button is of little consequence.
Execute the process.
In the window that comes up, please choose Local Object, assuming that you do not want to capture the whole contents into a 'Transport'. This is more required if you are aiming to copy the project from one SolMan instance to another.
It would give an information message "Generating in batch job (Name ......)
In a few minutes, you'd receive an intimation of the Project being copied.
That's pretty much about it. Have a check on the newly created project in SOLAR01.
Please let me know if you have any doubts.
Best regards,

Document Type Restriction in cFolders
Hi all,
We have implemented cFolders 4.0 in our project as a document repository. We have a requirement to allow users to upload certain document types only (e.g. .doc, .xls). Is this configuration available out of the box? Otherwise, how do we customize the standard cFolders configuration to enable this restriction?
Thanks in advance.

PO from PR only for a particular document type
Dear Gurus
I want purchase orders should be raised with reference to purchase requisitions only. System should allow to make purchase orders with reference to purchase requisitions only for a particular document type only.
I have configured in OMET and assigend this in SU3, now the system is not allowing to create PO for all document types, but I want to restrict this for a particular document type only
Is there any configu change required?
Regards
MuthukumarHi
You can make it in MM - purchasing -> purchase orders -> define document types -> check the document type -> click on link purchase requisitions.
And in define screen layout at document level - make PR mandatory for your purchase order document type (field reference).
Thanks
