I have HP LaserJet CM1415fn.
When i try to copy, it gives me an error "copying in color is blocked"(translated from Russian).
How i can resolve this issue?

According to the LaserJet Pro CM 1410 series User Guide manual , the System Setup menu should have a Color Copy item (allowed values are On and Off) which "Enables or disables color copying".

Strange color blocks appearing in transparency layers

I'm getting random color blocks appearing in a layered PSD file. Doesn't appear when the same file is opened on another machine. Color blocks move and change location and density. I created the original file and have worked in it previously (not today) Almost looks like video card issues. But doesn't happen in other programs besides photoshop? Anyone had similar issues?
Running CS2 on a Dual 2.3 G5 with 4 gb memory. Plenty of HD space.

I noticed the problem: After I scanned a medical card that was 80% cyan.
Problem: The problem persists when scanning/copying using the ADF or using the scanner glass bed.
Only occurs during color scanning or copying. I can print a file from my laptop or home pc with no issues, as long as the color file did NOT come from my printer.
If I had scanned the small O'Riley's note in black & white there would have been no streaking.

I see that you are having issues scanning and copying in color from the glass and the ADF. Thank you for providing the screen shot. I can help you out today.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Update the printer's firmware. HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a Firmware.
Try scanning again to see if you have the same results.

How come when i copy a color from one page to another, the color looks faded?

I'm using the same color in a multi-page layout. When i copy a color box from one page to another, the color looks faded on some pages. WHY?! Thanks!

So i checked the blend spaces - both are CMYK (as this doc will be offset printed). Something really strange is happening! See attach below: the 2 blues (same setup/blend space, color breakdown, etc...) look different! And my client is PICKY! ugh. HELP! Thanks again!

Unless there is something unusual about the table, it should copy in by selecting in Pages, selecting Copy, moving to Keynote, tapping, seelcing paste.
If the table structure is copying in, but you can't see the text (is that what is happening?), you might try selecting ghe table and changing the text color using the formatting tool.

Color blocks and lines im Photo

I just got Aperture 3. When I look at my pictures for just a few seconds they are clear then different color blocks appear in the picture. They are not present in the thumbnails only when I open a picture. Also I can open the same photos in iPhotos with no problem. If I have both iPhoto and Aperture open it does it in both programs. Apple replaced the mother board on my MacBook Pro and they say this is not a hardware problem. I'm not so sure.
Does anyone know how to fix this.

When I have Aperture open it appears to affect my whole system, I’m wondering if it is the same on your system? I have checked activity monitor and am not using all my RAM although I appear to be using most of it. I am going to try a clean install and see if this helps.

Multi-colored block noise bug in Adobe Premiere - DV video

When I edit a DV video in Premiere 6.5 sometimes the final DV video output will have this strange multi-colored blocks that last a frame or two, and it will have a loud violent hiss right there. It's not in the original DV video, and it won't be in the same place if I resave it. I can't figure out what's causing it. I blured the logo in the bottom left corner, but it's fine. It will look perfect with the video screwed up behind it. Anyone have any ideas what's happening, or have you run into this before??

Anything that does that "once in awhile" and "not in the same place" is most often caused by TSR software running in the backbround
That TSR software is doing "something" to the hardware that is stealing a few clock cycles or polling the system bus... and that causes problems with Premiere
You need to check what else is running in the background, and stop it if at all possible

You might have the WiFi + 3G version of the iPad.
This means you can put a SIM card into the iPad and get the internet where you get mobile coverage.

Colored blocks on the bottom of clips

Can anyone tell me what the colored blocks are at the bottom of these clips? I didn't import the clips so can't give you any information on what it was shot on or how it was imported but it was an HD tapeless camera.
Any suggestions?

This looks like overscan, which is a portion of the video image that is normally not visible on a display. You can crop it out if necessary.
The background explanation is that the full image as it appears visually on a TV is actually not the full video image. There is a portion of the image, on the edges, that is normally hidden by the bezel of the TV. This area is called the overscan area. Sometimes the overscan area is used to convey extra data; sometimes it shows up in video that is transferred from one device to another. In my experience it most often shows up in analog video that is digitized.
You could just go ahead and edit as is (or at least a test portion) and see if it is still visible in the final video (that is, after being exported from FCE). If it's still visible, you might consider cropping it out.
It would help to know exactly what the origin of the video is and anything that may have been done to the video before you got it. Also, what your sequence settings are.

My photosmart 8250 prints the headings & color blocks on the diagnostic pages, but not the text.

My photosmart 8250 suddenly stopped printing ( I have Windows 7). The cartridges have ink & there are no error mssgs. The self-test disgnostic prints the headings, borders & color blocks, but not the text under each heading. I ran the diagnostic utility & it said there were too many print jobs (?) and I cancelled them as directed.I re-ran the test & It said there were no problems found. But it still isn't printing. I went to the control panel and ran THAT diagnostic & it said it found some problem with the USB connection, but that it was resolved. But, it STILL won't print. I tried everything the diagnostic utility suggested - uninstalled and reinstalled the updated software & driver, restarted the computer, etc. and it still won't print.

Hi - Try following the steps in this document. It will walk you through cleaning the rollers, which in many cases is the cause of this type of problem.

Weird Color Block Behind Copy

I feel like an idiot because I can't figure this out. I know this cannot be as tricky as it seems to be.
We've got an index where the letters are in front of blocks of color. The entire line is highlighted. I cannot figure out how to turn the color off, or change the color (short of deleting the swatch and replacing it). Mostly, I can't figure out what setting is making that happen. It appears to be a paragraph formatting effect, but I can't be sure. It's attached to a paragraph style, and when I choose a different paragaph style, the color-behind effect goes away - but I've been through all the options in the style, and none of them say, 'highlight the whole line'. I can't even find a reference to the color being used.
I can just hand-format the copy, but what I really want is to find out where this setting is hiding and why I can't find it.

I checked the paragraph rule. It was set to Rule Above, but it wasn't turned on.
So I checked Rule Below, and it was on. I just didn't see it because I was looking at the settings for Rule Above. I can't believe I missed something that simple.

Laserjet CM1415fn CMFP Black screen-question mark on screen-excalmation mark and dot flashing

Hello everybody
I've got a laserjet pro CM1415fn color MFP which seems to get power, starts up but suddenly the screen gets black and only the question mark is shown.
Also, above the screen there are two indicators: An exclamation mark and a dot to its left, both of them blinking.
Can anyone tell me what's the problem and how to solve it?

Reader and Digital Editions are not the same product. Digital Editions has
its own set of functions, and is designed to handle different types of
files than Reader. Do not expect to be able to do the same things with
both products. Check Digital Editions Help (F1 key from the Library menu)

anything about not using URGENT. Sounds like you are
going based on convention.Consider basic good manners. You have just approached a bunch of strangers and asked them for their help, for free. By telling us it's urgent, you're really saying "my problem is more important than these other people asking for help", which is only true as far as you're concerned. Everyone considers their own problem more important.
The forum rules may not say anything about not using "URGENT", but since the people answering the questions have the power to do so or not, you just have to abide by what they say. Like it or lump it, basically. Or cough up some hard currency

Color grade via solid color blocks

I am using Premiere Elements 10 on a MacBook Pro and I'm wondering how to apply a solid block of color to a clip and then reduce the opacity to give it a sort of a hazy look, as opposed to playing with individual settings (i.e. tint, saturation, contrast, etc.), though a combination is in all likelihood ideal. I know it was possible to do this in some of the early versions and I'm hoping this is the case here as well. I'm new to APE from Final Cut Express 4. All help is greatly appreciated.

First, just the Crop Effect should not degrade the Color Matte, or anything else. However, if one then Scales up, there will be degradation.
For Position, just Select your Color Matte, or Template, and go to Effects. If you have not added any other Effects, like Crop, you will see the Fixed Effects, Motion, Opacity, Rotation and Volume if you also have Audio. Go to the Motion Effect and twirl it open (little triangle to the left), and you will then see two Motion Effects, Position and Scale. Make sure that the CTI (the Current Time Indicator w/ the red edit line - also referred to as the Playhead) is on the first Frame of that Matte, or Template, and then use Position to move it to the desired location. This will add a single Keyframe at the Head (first Frame) of your Clip. You can adjust the Position in several ways, such as dragging the Bounding Box, or by clicking and then typing in the coordinates for Vertical and Horizontal, or by click+scrubbing the values in the coordinate boxes. I like typing in the values, as that is what I find to be the most precise.

PS - as you also mentioned Opacity, above, if you need to adjust that, follow the same steps, but just go to the Fixed Effect>Opacity, and adjust that too.
Note: all of those adjustments can be Keyframed, so that they change over time, but if I read your post correctly, you do not need that, in this case. Just keep that in the back of your mind.
