Core is no longer active

Good morning,
We've been running FMS3 for a while and traffic is
increasing. For some reason all applications (we have only 2) are
disappearing and are being reset by the server every 15mn or so.
In the master logs I am seeing:
2009-02-18 01:31:51 1312 (i)2581223 Core (7744) is no longer
active. -
2009-02-18 01:31:51 1312 (w)2581256 Core (7744)
_defaultRoot_:::: experienced 1 failure[s]! -
2009-02-18 01:32:15 1312 (i)2581221 Core (7988) started,
arguments : -adaptor "_defaultRoot_" -vhost -app -inst -tag -conf
"D:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3\conf\server.xml" -name
"_defaultRoot_::::".
And the event monitor:
Source: FMS (Edge)
* Event Log: Application
* Type: Warning Event
* Event ID: 1213
* Connection rejected by server. Reason : [ Server.Reject ] :
Virtual host is not available.
Any idea how to investigate and fix that?
Thanks
Franck

Hi,
I had that same problem today!
I tried then to update my FMS to v3.5.3. Which did not help
After a while I recognized, that the problem was on client-side. Inside a module I did a SharedObject.getRemote() with an invalid NetConnection (null, actually).When I executed it, i got an error message which was something like "Cannot create SharedObject" and at the same time, my server crashed with the above mentionned message written to the log.
However, this only happened when I re-loaded the module. (so, first a [ModuleLoader-instance].load(), then unload() and then load() again, and - voilà - I hab my error).
Somehow my previously used SharedObject got re-used and made everything crash.
Hope this is helpful to someone.
Bye

    I am having an issue with my Flash Media Server.  I have an application that works as a video conference system using FMS 4.0.  A few days ago it stopped connecting the two sides.  Rebooting the server fixed the problem, but this has happened before so we know it will come up again.  I was looking at the log files to see if I could find the problem. There wasn't any error messages directly related to the connection issue, but there were lots off errors about memory and core failures.  I posted some of the log lines below.  These are from today so they don't have anything to do with the connection problem, but I am wondering if this is the start of the problem.  Has anyone experienced this or have an idea to what is going on?

    Hi,
    It seems that the memory used by the fmscore is increasing. This can happen when the Server memory is low or when the core has been up for days.
    The core is designed to shut down when the memory consumption rises above a threshold. These log messages are indicative of that.
    Can you gather some memory consumption data as well?
    To best counteract this, I recommend that you check the <Distribute numprocs=""></Distribute> setting in Application.xml and set this to split the cores according to your needs.
    Thanks,
    Shiven

  • The transaction is no longer active - Transaction timed out after 30 second

    We have an intermittent error here, and I'm a rookie. The error results in a 500 being sent to the customer every 10th-20th POST and only occurs under heavy load. The heavy loading is over the for the day, but it'll be back.
    My first suspicion was the app code doing transaction work and having database performance problems. But the app is non-transactional and the database is fine. The server farm nodes (4) are all experiencing the problems at equal rates, and the other apps on the farm are fine, so it appears to be app-specific rather than rooted in server state or database state.
    I looked at the stack a little more closely and it appears to be some kind of internal persistence issue, but a completely foreign one to me. We have no Persistent Stores configured, so I don't know where to even start on this puppy.

    This was actually my first conclusion as well. But when I went to the Data Source for this connection, I found it's a non-transactional driver. That's what made me go back and give the trace a second look. I don't see any references to the Data Source in question. It's OpenJPA stuff and Session persistence stuff.Non-XA drivers can still participate in an XA transaction via a variety of JDBC data source options - for example, labeled "1PC" and "LLR" on the console. (If you want to understand the particulars search for "JTS" or "LLR" in the JDBC edocs).
    You seem to be suggesting maybe the setting can be made in a config doc, possibly of the app itself, right? Right. EJBs have a transaction-timeout attribute.
    As opposed to setting it in the console. WebLogic has a domain wide default transaction-timeout setting that can be set on the console, but I tend not to recommend using it. In addition, there's something called a "deployment plan" which can be used to override some of the common EJB attributes via configuration, but I'm not personally familiar with its usage.
    But isn't the setting vapor if we're using a nonXA driver?No.
    I wonder if this thing couldn't be telling me it's waiting on the persistence subsystem to come available to store simple session data? Sometimes the problem is that there are periodic app requests that are more complex/larger than others. Sometimes the system is simply overloaded, and takes 30 seconds to honor a request that might normally take 10 seconds.
    That other app is all about persistence. What if app2 is sucking some persistence subsystem dry and app 1 is waiting just to store session data? Could be.
    If the nonXA thing really does kill the quick timeout workaround, how could I health-check the persistence subsystem?Don't know. At a wild guess I'd check for CPU's at 100% on all involved serves, and examine database stats.

  • How can I delete an old iCloud account for which I do not remember the password?  The email address linked to that account is no longer active.

    The email linked to that account is no longer active.  How can I delete this old account and use a new one?

    Although your profile says you're running iOS 5.1.1 it sounds like you're running iOS 7 (otherwise you would not need your password to delete the old account).  Assuming that's true, and your iCloud ID has changed but you need to delete the old account in order to change to your new one, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • NAMED_SEQUENCEs: The transaction is no longer active

    Hi all,
              I am currently trying to get Petstore 1.3.1 going on WLS 7.0.0.1 an got
              into quite some trouble (btw, does anyone have experience with this

              "populate database" link on ~/petstore/index.jsp and got:
              java.sql.SQLException: The transaction is no longer active (status = Committed). No further JDBC access is allowed within this transaction.

    Is there any way to get weblogic to allow this?No, at least not jts connections. Non-XA connections need our management to
    ensure all the work gets committed or rolled back atomically. It doesn't
    cost anything to always obtain jts connections in the context of the tx

    Besides XA, you could get a plain non-transactional connection and do your

  • The email address used to Sign into my icloud is no longer active, this is different than my apple id email address though. How can I change my icloud email address to my current apple id email address

    When I received my iphone 4s 3 years ago the my apple id and icloud email addresses were the same, it was a student email from the college I attended. This account is no longer active, but when I changed my apple id email address to a current email (gmail account) the icloud address didn't change over. I now have no ability to sign into icloud on my phone and icloud hasn't been updated in nearly a year. I wanted to figure out this problem before I upgraded to the Iphone 6 this December. Is there any way this is possible?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You should still be able to use your college email address, just log in with your details.

  • I changed my Apple ID and password, however there is an old primary email address of which is no longer active that is not letting me reset my Iphone for sale

    My original Apple ID( the email is no longer active) Is keeping me from resetting my Verizon Iphone 5C for resale. How do I get Apple to stop recognizing this email address as my primary? Ive called them several times, had them reset my current Apple ID as primary and the other ID still pops up. Im so frustrated, i dont have a phone to call support and its hard getting anything done with texts.

    You should be able to make changes to your apple id information (and in your case it seems like you need to change your rescue email in the "security and privacy" section) by logging into your account at appleid.apple.com

  • I have two apple id's because my hotmail account is no longer active. How can I delete the old one and use or update the new one?  Every time I try it won't allow me and now my iPad thinks there are two accounts and they are arguing with each other. Help!

    You can't merge accounts or copy content to a different account, so anything that you bought or downloaded via the old account is tied to that account - so any updates that those apps get you will only be able to download via that account. You can change which account is logged in on the iPad via Settings > Store

  • I have two apple ID's but cannot remember the security question answers and the email address is no longer active - how can I access this account

    I have two apple ID's but cannot remember the security question answers and the email address is no longer active - how can I access this account as it seems to be the one my icloud space is attached to.  I haven't backed up my ipad or photos for a while.

  • I had the developer preview for IOS 6 on my phone, and just got a message telling me that my operating system is no longer active. How do I get my phone activated again?

    I had the developer preview for IOS 6 on my phone, and just got a message telling me that my operating system is no longer active. How do I get my phone activated again?
    I had the developer preview installed. Never had to update to the release version of the OS. Now, the preview has expired, and I cannot use my phone because my iTunes reads my OS as being current, but my iPhone cannot active. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

    If I Google for Michael Superczynski, first match tells "Michael Superczynski's Profile : Apple Support Communities". It in fact does a lot of work there even if not paid.
    And yes we do not have disagreement about "official apple developers". Problem is that Apple screwed our devices because we are "official apple developers" and did effort to stop us getting proper help. I unbricked my ipad and iphone thanks to unofficial help. Thank you who wrote this unofficial help and "no thanks" for apple for ruining my access to my devices. My mistake was assuming that "update" button on my devices works. It did not because it always told "Your device has latest IOS6 installed" until it bricked yesterday.
    If Apple does not want to listen us, continue do delete post, blame us installing your software and yes we stop buying your devices and developing for them.

    I've had an Apple ID under an old email address. I have a new Apple ID under my current email. Is there a way to link or merge the two together? I don't remember the old password and that email address is no longer active. If I cannot link or merge the two, how can I activate the old ID on the new computer if that email account is no longer active?? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!!

    You cannot merge accounts.
    You need to sign into the old account on your computer.

    I HAVE AN ICLOUD ACCOUNT THAT I NEED TO DELETE, BUT I'VE FORGOTTEN THE PASSWORD AND/OR THE SECURITY QUESTIONS. SO, I CAN'T RESET IT BY EMAIL BECAUSE THE ADDRESS I USED IS NO LONGER ACTIVE.

    You need to ask Apple to reset its security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

    If you know the answers to your security questions for the account, you can reset the password without using email authentication by following the steps in the first section of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787.  If you don't, you'll need to contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password.
