Correction in PSA

HI all,
Am working on BI 7.and I have a load error, so i went into PSA to correct the records and I found that there are nearly 100 records to correct and the correction is the same for all the records.Then how can I do the correction at one instance.Should i go doing each one by one or do I have a chance to correct them all to gether and reload .Suggest me plz.

Hi,
In 3.5 this can be done easily. First you need to filter out the error records (based on particular field). Once this is done you will find a edit icon (pen icon) on top of the PSA page.
Click on it and it will open a pop up window with all the fields.
Here the fields will be blank. Just find your particular field and enter the vlaue and save.
Hope its the same in BI 7.0
check and confirm.

Master Data is NOT Loaded correctly, but PSA has correct data

Hi all,
    We have transported the Master Data Attribute 0CPR_PROJEC (cProjects: Project) from DEV to QA system. There is no problem with data in DEV, but we are having the problems in QA.
    In QA, the data is BLANK for couple of Attributes (RSA1 --> Right Click --> Maintain Master Data), but these Attributes are having the data in PSA level.
    We have verified the Transfer Rules & Update Rules and these are same in DEV and QA.
   What could be the problem, PLEASE?

ERROR DURING LOADING DATA FROM PSA TO DSO IN "PRUEFMBKT"

I am trying to load data through an r/3 field( pruefmbkt, char-40length) to infoobject. the data is coming correctly to psa but when i am loading it in to dso or infocube request is turning red giving following error message--

HI Abhay,
please check if the infoobject corresponding to field PRU_LSIL in BW system has lower case checkbox enabled in the infoobject properties, as the value '010/12.05-112.15/hold on not operate' coming from R/3 has lower case alphabets.

Data is not updating in data target from PSA

i have loaded data from flat file to an Info Object(with direct update)....the data is loaded correctly into PSA...when i manually read data from PSA to data target its not updting in data target.......can anyone help with this....thanks in advance..

direct update, so it's master data,
is it attribute or text ? perhaps there's invalid character or lower case,
check in monitor tab detail.
and when you said not updated to data target,
you check by right click 'maintain master data' ?
or you mean it's not updated to reporting ?
execute change run ? rsa1->tools->apply attribute/hierarchy change.

2 PSA for 1 Data Source

Hi ,
DTP loads 0 records because our data source is using 2 PSA and loads the data from the PSA which donot hold physical data instead of loading data from the PSA which has data .
How to resolve this issue ?

Your question is a little unclear but if you have 2 PSA tables then you should also have 2 datasources in the datasource view of RSA1.
In that view try creating a DTP by right clicking on the the correct datasource (PSA). If that works then delete the other DTP.

Error in Simulating load from PSA to InfoObjects

Hello ALL,
in my Transfer Rules i have mapped 5 R/3 fileds (120 char) to my 5 infoobjects (60 char)
i have loading correctly in PSA a long text with "ALL TYPE OF CHARACTERS"
i'm doing a simulate registration from the monitor to load these data in my bw InfoObjects
my infoobjects have this characteristics:
- only attribute , flagged to accept Lower Case, conversion routine ALPHA, no master data, no text
the objective is to load this long text into the sid table and show it in query like attribute of my master data: 0NOTIFICATN.
the simulation return error like this:

i tried to fix this problem in Infopackage by Handling error ==> registering records without control, green light, it's a Long Text Description and i don't need to control any character in detail.
but i have another problem in InfoSource: when i mapp 1 R/3 120 char to 2 Infoobjects 60 char,
at the right side in Transfer Rules i find my R/3 field linked only with the first infoobjects
for example:
my infoobjects are ZTESTO_01 , ZTESTO_02
R/3 field: ZZTDLINE
i mapp:
ZZTDLINE ==> ZTESTO_01
ZZTDLINE ==> ZTESTO_02
at the right side i find: ZZTDLINE:ZTESTO_01
at the left side i find:

for my second infoobject i tried to write a routine to specify:

it seem that the system don't consider my routine
i tried another test without routine and waiting to get the same 60 char for ZTESTO_01 and ZTESTO_02
but nothing, it seem that the system consider only the association at the right side in transfer rules

for that in my start routine, at the declaration of transfer structur i don't see any reference for my:

do you think that is some PATCH PROBLEM, we have a new 7.0 installation with no patches.
i will bypass this problem monday asking the Abap Developer to divid the long text only in 60 char R/3 fields, and in infosource i can mapp 1:1 , 10 R/3 fields to 10 bw infoobjects and in the query
i can choose how many attributes i need to view for my long text.
if you have some further idea to test in Infosource (change mapping, routine) i will do that

Export InfoCube Contents by Request to a flat file

Hi SDN,
Is it possible, other than going into the manage contents of an infoCube,
to export to a CSV file, by a request id.
I had a look at the function module
RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ
and it nearly does what i require, although i wasn't able to get it to work.
Can anyone firstly provide me with the parameters to input to get it to write to a file, say C:\temp.csv.
We are not able to use open hub service because of licensing issues.
Finally, if there is no easy solution, i will just go to the manage contents, and dump out the 3 - 4 million records identified by a request id number

Another options for "adjusting" a cube:
- converting it to transactional and use BPS functionalities (ABAP report SAP_CONVERT_TO_TRANSACTIONAL)
- loopback scenario: generate export datasource on your cube with update rules to your cube itslef; you would extract the data to be corrected to PSA; you can then edit this PSA (manually or mass updates with ABAP code) and the post it again in your cube.

Remove space in record

HI all
While executing DTP i am getting an error.INVALID CHARACTER.Its because of the space at the end of below mentioned records and also a space between * and (.

I can go and correct in PSA.But for every load i need to do that.
Is there any other alternative other than manually editing the record in PSA.

Yes I'm trying to delete all the requests that got activated simultaneoulsy, even though i tried to delete seperately system will throw the message to do it together.
There are no requests after this.
This is a delta load coming straight from the extractor and there are subsequent loads to further data targets, but since the QM status is in red, further update didnt happen.
Yes you are right, usually I wont be able to correct the psa data if the data already existed in data target, but in this case I was able to do, when i went to Manage PSA, the icon was in Change mode, and I had corrected the data, when these requests are still in the ods.
I guess i had answered all your questions, but the problem still unresolved.

Polish characters were replaced by '#'

Hi All,
I am Extracting data from R/3 source system using data source 2LIS_05_Q0ITEM in QM.
hear problem with Notification Item Short Text(FETXT) this field i mapped to ZWFETXT in Info Source ZW2LIS_05_ITEM.
Then this info source Assigned to ODS(ZWQMITM).ODS(ZWQMITM) is Assigned to cube (ZWQM_ITM).
I loaded the data ODS and CUBE also Both are Sucessfully loaded data with 1000 records.
i obsedved data in ODS (ACTIVE & CHANGE LOG) tables and contents all the data showing Correct.
PSA also Showing Correct data.
But Cube level ZWFETXT data showing Wrong. When ever polish characters comes that are replaced by '#' symbol.
Please give me solution how to solve this problem.

If not, spro--> business intelligence -->general BI settings --> maintenance of allowed chars.

Automatic loading from data marts

Hi All,
I have a cube which has a data flow wherein I have an ODS1 which gives data to ODS2 and then finally to the cube.
I have put this entire process in a process chain.
But many a times due to an erroneous record,. the ODS1 loading fails and then I have to manually correct the PSA and do a manual activation too in ODS1.
I
I now want to know whether the system will pick up the processes again from the process chain and do further loading automatically OR if there is a possibility of automated loading settings be defined in the infopackage so as to do subsequent data targets once I have done it successfully in ODS1???
Also, if I do such a setting, then the job will be done in my username or BWALEREMOTE??

As I have observed that some of the subequent infoproviders get loaded automatically after I manually load and activate one data mart.

Transformation not generating-Flat file loading

Hello guys, I hope you can help me with this little confusion I have on BI7 Flat file loading.
I got a File (CSV) on my workstation. I am trying to load Master Data. Here is the example of my file and issues:
Lets say, I have CSV file named "CarModel.CSV" on my PC.
This excel file has 10 Records and No atributes for this Field.
So the records should show like this and it is showing correctly in PSA level, DS level.

My goal is to load Flat file data to InfoObject (inserted in Infoprovider)
I created Source system, DS, all thats stuffs.
I am now on Display DS screen under Proposal Tab. I am putting 10 Records to show and hitting Load example data....it works fine by showing all 10 records. However in the bottom part of this screen, what should show as a Field ?In my case , First it was showing the First Record ("A")...i didnt think it was correct but i prceeded anyways. Transformation could not be generated.
I tried by deleting "1" from the field "No. of header rows to be ignored" and its the same result ..No transformations.. I mean i know its very simple to load this data but i am not sure what i am doing wrong..My question is:
1) What should show under Field/propasal tab in my case?am i supposed to create this Field?
2) Should the system to propse the field which is from my flat file header ?in my case i dont have any header..should i have include header in my csv file like "car model"? i am confused please give me some info thanks

In filed tab, u have to enter ur infoobject names in an order...and press enter it'll automatically give the description and its other factors...
i guess u shuld have some header in the sense eg: customer,cust ID like this..this only u have to enter as fields...in proposal tab...try that

Data missing information after DTP

during Deletion of PSA Requests on normal daily chain load i recive en error :

Delete request REQU_D91K36PDHZ3SPN9CTO7RHF4UI from PSA 0RF_PRODUCT_ATTR_BA: Error! - subrc: 2
in report RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY_MS
here check option "Only active PSA" and "persistent staging area" and all the options in "check options".
i see :
Fatal error occured, DO NOT USE correct option
Errors wrongly stored in partition refer to NOTE 992248 / 1051664

Error while loading data on 0LIV_DS01 ODS through DTP

Hi Expert,
I am trying to load data on 0LIV_DS01 ODS through 2LIS_06_INV datasource data is comming correctly in PSA
while i'm trying to load data on ODS through DTP is runing properly till 9th package but at 10th package it showing me error
like "Exception condition "CTT_NOT_FOUND" raised"
Error Analysis
"A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLRSW0" raised the exception
condition "CTT_NOT_FOUND".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated."
please tell me how i rectify the error....

Hi,
This error has to do something with Currency Conversion.
While loading from the DSO to the cube, do you have any currency conversions?
Please look at the below threads:
