Cost Dividing

Dear freinds,
I wanted to divide Cost of Maintenance to Mechanical cost , Electrical Cost , Instrument Cost & Corresponding Services.
So I have Created Seperate Cost Elements for each please see below
1> Mechanical Spares like Machine Parts - 10000000(Cost element)
2>Electrical Spares                                -  10000010(Cost element)
3>Instrument Spares                              -  10000020 (Cost Element)
4>General Spare Parts like bearings, oil seals - 100000030( this cost element collects common spare parts costs used by mechanical.electrical & instrument)
5> consumables like Oil & Grease          -   1000000040
Now from General Spare parts Cost element my Client wants to know what is Mechanical spare part cost , Electrical Spare cost , Instrument spare part cost
kindly pour some knowledge how can i get following  costs from cost element
regards,

Dear Sir,
I am not talking about single order
this General Cost element -collects costs of common parts used by electrical ,mechanical & instrument dept .
At end of year from this General cost element my client wants bifurgate cost according department I just want to know can i bifurgate this Cost element by using planner group .Is there any standard report or I need to make Z-report.
Commo Spares are Bearings,Oil seals which will be used by both electrical & mechanical dept

  • Standard Report on Purchase Cost,Sales Cost and Margin

    Dear Friends,
We are working on SAP 4.7V. The user requirement is like ths. Is it possible.
Can you advise me what  need to do to get this Report from SAP for Margins earned.
    a.       For every item, we have purchase costin INR
    b.      We have data on duties and taxes in % and hence can be allocated to each item.
    c.       Other costs like transport, etc. can be allocated on total transport cost divided by the total no. of items transported.
    Please advise.
    Regards
    Sridhar

The requirement is not possible and is on hold.

  • Transportation Cost to be flown to CO-PA

    Hi,
We have developed Zreport for Transportation Cost. In that we are arriving at Trip Cost by calculating total cost divided by total litres. Client needs the same cost to be flown to CO-PA. Is there any work around & User Exit available.
    Regards,
    Varsha

    Hi Varsha
You need to develop your upload program using BAPI_COPAACTUALS_POSTCOSTDATA (or similar to this, you can search in SE37).. This program can post to COPA using whatever logic you have

  • MR21 price change for actual cost of inventory

    Hi
Material ledger is not active. We have four FERT materials and four production orders in April 2011. Material inventory is on standard price. We want closing inventory at actual value. I have tried to change the price via MR21 but system is not allowing me to change price because cost estimate is exist.
Actual production order cost divided by actual production = actual cost per unit.
I want to use this price in MR21 to re-valuate the inventory in current month.
    hope clear.
    regards

    Hi Imdad
Here is a workaround which I used many times
    a. Create a New Costing variant, with Costing Type = Release to Prices other than Std Cost
    b. The Valuation Variant settings must be as below
For Materials - Strategy J (Price as per Price Control as of Last Period)
For Activity prices - Actual Price of Previous Period
    c. At month end, once you calculate Actual Activity price, you can create a Costing Run in Ck40N
The Costing date can be 01.Apr.2011, if you are running the Cost Estimate for March 2011
    d. The price calculated to be stored in Plan price 2 field of the Material Master or Tax price field
You can get a comparison of original Std cost and the revised std cost.... If need be, you can pass a JV in FI for the Stock (x) Revised price - Original Std price
    5. If need be, you can also revaluate the COGS in COPA using this std cost estimate

  • Report Painter - variables in formulas

    Dear all,
we try to use value variables in formulas within Report Painter reports which should not influence the selection. Example: the benchmark of a daily rate is 975 € - and the report should calculate the variance between the effective daily rate (total of service-provider costs divided by number of rendered hours divided by 8). The 975 € should not be stored as a fixed value within the formula but should be defined as a value variable.
Ideally the value should be editable at the selection screen.
    Has anybody an idea?
    Thanks for your response.

    Hi
I suspect you are not able to use the '& symbol in the formula in your system because the note 593897 was not present in old release.
Due to this note there is no need to enter '&' symbol for variables in the formula but in order for the variables to be used please make sure  that the variable is contained in the general data selection of the  report.

  • Can i know the limitations of BPEL

    Hi Everyone,
Can i know how many jms subscribers can be placed on exposed service side..

    Hi
I'm not sure what is the 'Actual Cost Event' you are talking about.
The 'Fin % Complete' column is PSI - Project Status Inquiry - is calculated as ITD actual burdened cost divided by total burdened cost budget.
To get values on this column you should have approved and baseline cost budget, and you need to get actual costs on the project. Actual costs could be labor hours, supplier costs, PO receipts, etc.
You have to set the PA reporting period indicating till what period you want to system to accumulate actual costs.
You have to distribute costs entered within Projects, like time cards.
You have to run the process PRC: Update Projects Summary Amounts.
Now you are ready to look at PSI.
Percent Complete page is used to enter at the end of each period the percentage of progress of the project or top task.
Those values may be used for reporting or billing calculations (using billing extensions).

  • BPC 75NW YTD / Periodic Measure query

The Application is currently set to YTD. The Inputs are therefore done on YTD level for Costs. Headcount is a statistical account with AST account type, so YTD/Periodic measures become irrelevent.
Now, What I need is Periodic Costs  Divided by HC to get Cost/HC (Cost_HC_Centre) and this is the script that I am running:
    *SELECT (%BUS%, "[ID]", BUSAREA, "[CALCULATION]=Y")
    *FOR %YEAR%=2011,2012
    *FOR %MONTH%=JAN,FEB,MAR,APR,MAY,JUN,JUL
    *FOR %BA%=%BUS%
    *RUNALLOCATION
    *FACTOR=1/USING
    *DIM CATEGORY WHAT=ACTUAL; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<
    *DIM TIME WHAT=%YEAR%.%MONTH%; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<
    *DIM DATASRC WHAT=INPUT; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<
    *DIM FLOW WHAT=F_999; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<
    *DIM CURRENCY WHAT=INR; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<
    *DIM COSTCENTER WHAT=[BUSAREA]="ADM_%BA%"; WHERE=<<<; USING=NO_COSTCENTER
    *DIM PROCESS WHAT=NO_IO; WHERE=<<<; USING=BAS(%BA%)
    *DIM ACCOUNT WHAT=BAS(Salary_and_Benefits); WHERE=Cost_HC_Centre; USING=HC
    *ENDALLOCATION
    *COMMIT
    *NEXT
    *NEXT
    *NEXT
By doing so, it is calculating it as YTD Cost / HC where I need Periodic Cost / HC
Please let me know how can I achieve the same.
    Thanks.

Is measure formula for PERIODIC working as expected ?If not ,you might need to calculate periodic values and store in PERIODIC  measure . and then use periodic measure in the logic.

  • Upgrade Only DSL without racking up price

Currently my Dad pays $15/month after a discount for verizon phone and internet. Since the internet is pretty slow I was looking for options to upgrade only the internet. It seems the only thing that I can do is create my own bundle, but whenever I choose about the same service we have now, the price skyrockets up $25 for the same service. This doesn't make sense to me. I just want to increase the internet plan by a level without paying tons more. I guess maybe this was some kind of special deal that we have now? I'm wondering if there is a way to do that?

The discount may be a promotional discount for service. Typically the discounts will be removed if the service plan changes, either due to a bundle change (if phone and DSL are bundled) or when they expire.
Typically going from the lowest DSL plan to the highest plan will run an additional $10/m for at least the first year. Then the price will go up usually an additional  $7/m. Removing the $15 discount will cause the price you're seeing.
Try talking to someone in billing to see if they can help find a better deal than what is being offered online. Just be sure to ask questions such as, what is the catch, what is changing, what is the promo price and what will it become after a year.
Otherwise, my advice is to price out Internet service based on how many dollars a single Megabit costs (divide the price by Mbps). If your line supports only 1.5Mbps max, paying $42/m for the Enhanced DSL package is usually silly of FiOS or a Cable provider is around.
    ========
The first to bring me 1Gbps Fiber for $30/m wins!

  • Eval script and premature calculation error

    Hi,
I have what Im sure is a simple problem for someone.
    3 columns: Cost - Retail - GM%
The calculation is (Retail minus Cost) divided by (Retail) multiply by 100.
I dont seem to be able to write it all in one line for the GM% column so I have created an invisible column (gmcalc) and have two scripts:
    1. in the gmcalc column. sum(Retail-Cost)
    2. in the GM% column. eval("gmcalc/Retail")
The problem is not that the calculations dont work. The problem is when a number is entered in to the cost field an error is generated: Error arithmetic over/underflow. Because there is no entry in Retail. I can continue by selecting ok and entering a value.
Can anyone tell me if (and how) the script can be written in one line without the hidden column
    OR
tell me how to tell the program to ignore the error and chill till I get to the next column.
    Thanks.

  • Kit Break Up

    Hi,
I am looking for a way to break up one material into multiple materials and have cost move from one to the others.
    Example:
I purchased 1 each of a prebuilt kit which contains 10 different materials for $20 from my vendor. I want to break this up into the individual components and have the cost divided up between the 10 materials, $2.00 each.
    Thanks
    Julie

    Hi,
If you have purchased the material by subcontracting process then it was possible but if through normal procees then SAP has no process to split it up.

  • HOW TO DIVIDE THE COST PER MONTH IN CONTRACT WHICH IS PER YEAR

    Dear all,
i am triggring a project with reference to a quotation and i get the planned cost in
of the project in my quotation. So this cost of the quotation is for a year assuming the duration of the project is one year.
i am copying a contract document from this quotation in which the monthly billing
plan is there.here it is again multiplying for 12 months whereas i want it to divide it
by 12.can some body throw light for me to get a solution for this problem.
Assured reward points for timely support
    Best regards,
    R.Srinivasan

I think the answer is very simply that you should be using a 'milestone' billing plan rather than a 'periodic' billing plan. The milestone billing plan divides the total net value of the line into the milestones determined by the milestones in your WBS element, network, manually maintained in billing plan screen, or from a reference milestone billing plan. The periodic billing plan instead creates a billing periodically for the entire net value which in essence multiplies the amount by the number of billings in your plan.
You mentioned cost. If you want to divide cost across the term of the contract, you will need to look at CO functionality such as networks, service orders, RA, or other cost planning and accrual tools.
If you are trying to bill in accordance with your costs, you need to use resource related billing which can be integrated with milestone billing.

  • Software cost - not the Atlantic divide!!!

    Hi
In this age of carbon foot  print, not using plastic bags, smaller breakfast cereal packets and recyling everything. Can someone explainn the logic of Adobe pricing.
Ok I don't like the cost difference between US and UK but hats not my issue.
From the Adobe shop I can purchase either a download  ( good for the environment) or have a DVD packed in a box, put on a lorry and delivered to me from Ireland or Hungary buy a gas guzzling aircraft or lorry. So you would expect the download to be cheaper - no dvd to make etc etc
but the listed prices are as follows:
Can someone explain the logoc behind the following costings:
Download only cs4 suite upgrade £577.12  (£501.00 EXC VAT)
"Send me the DVD"  £546.25  (£475 EXC)
£26 more expensive to but the download and I#'' have no backup DVD
    Is there a logic?
    cheers
    Ian

Can someone explain the logoc behind the following costings:
Download only cs4 suite upgrade £577.12  (£501.00 EXC VAT)
"Send me the DVD"  £546.25  (£475 EXC)
£26 more expensive to but the download and I#'' have no backup DVD
    Is there a logic?
Yes, the logic is that Adobe has located its download servers in the Republic of Ireland, therefore you pay VAT at the rate applicable there. If you have the boxed version delivered to your door in the UK, you pay VAT at the UK rate. I don't know where you got the ex-VAT prices from, but both final prices are based on the ex-VAT price of £475. The UK VAT rate is 15%. The Irish rate is 21.5%. That's where the £31 difference comes from.
Why has Adobe located its servers in the Republic of Ireland? Simple. Irish corporation tax is lower than in most other parts of Europe (it may even be the lowest).
The simple solution is to download the software as a trial and use it while waiting for the boxed version to be delivered. You can use the trial version for up to 30 days

  • Dividing the overhead costs to production orders !

    Hi all,
This is regarding the overhead costs split to different Production orders.
The scenario is for e.g There are 3 production orders
    P-1
    P-2
    P-3
and the first 2 production orders(P-1 and P-2 ) are assigned profit center 1
and the last production order (P-3 )is assigned a profit center 2.
In the costing sheet configuration the profit centers are defined and profit center 1 is assigned 10% and the profit center 2 is assigned 20%
The overheads/ other direct costs should be split into 3 pdn orders in the % assigned to the profit centers.
Is this possible? if so, let me know the methodology.
    Thanks and Regards
    Karpagam

    absolutelly possible
if you have defined the % per PC in KZS2 and there are costs on the orders (as the basis for %)
than you have to run KGI2 or CO43 (mass)
    cheers

  • Cost component not splitting at the time of Rune the tine of Cost Estimate

    http//
    Hi,
We are in developing phase for Product costing for coal mine project ,
we have raise coal material with Non component BOM , and Routing is only one activity with 400- Raised Coal Qty-MT ,
We upload the plan with Production cost center -activity type and cost element ( as per cost component -we have 10 cost component  as per below )
    RM - Blasting
    Production Overhead
    Power - Main
    Stores,Spare,Consum
    Repairs & Maint
    Lease & Hire Char-PM
    Power - Auxiliary
    Depreciation
    Over Burden
    Development
we done the plan for Amount and Qty by KP06,KP26  and update plan price but system not calculate the cost component splitting in cost estimate as per planning while only one item showing for all cost to Production Overhead cost component
Production Overhead cost component which assign the secondary cost element which is assign to activity type 400
can any one help me to how we can resolve this issue
    Please find attached document

    Hi,
Here I am providing the necessity and importance of splitting structure, will share the configuration steps once you go through the following and get the comfort level.
Expense Analysis and Splitting in Manufacturing Cost Centers
Introduction In SAP Cost center work as a cost responsibility center, where all the expenses and cost are stored and analyzed for the purpose of management decision making.
The cost could be fixed or variable in nature. The difference between variable and fixed costs can be made in various ways in product costing in CO module.
Fixed costs represent the static costs incurred by the organization, which doesn’t change on the basis on manufacturing activities, which remain constant irrespective of production activities like rent for the premises, salaries of office staff etc.
On the other hand, variable cost varies based on the level of production activities; if production activities increase then variable cost also increased like electricity consumes raw material charges etc.
However all the variable cost doesn’t vary in direct proportion by quantity of goods produced.
In this document will try to define; how the Expenses analysis and splitting of cost done in manufacturing cost centers.
From controlling prospective, fixed cost remain constant regardless of operating activities, but if these factor changes, variable cost will fluctuate.
Basically raw material costs represent variable cost, but in this document main focused will be given to distinguish fixed and variable activity cost.
The segregation between fixed and variable cost is optional and is derived from the configuration and master data configured in cost center accounting and overhead accounting.
    Activity Price:
There are different methods that could be used in cost center accounting to determine the activity price. The simple way is the manually enter “Fixed” and “Variable” Activity cost (KP26).
However there are other methods used in Cost center Planning and Budgeting that automatically calculate the fixed and variable activity price.
Here the focused will be given on Planning and Budgeting activity and automatic calculation of plan activity rate in cost center.
This method aggregate planned costs by cost element and capacity by plan unit to calculate the activity price.
Activity independent costs are segregated among different activities based on Splitting Structure, while activity dependent cost directly used for the purpose of variable activity rate calculation.
    Fixed Activity Cost:
In product costing all those cost, which doesn’t vary based on the activities in manufacturing cost will represent fixed cost.
In a manufacturing cost centers there may be two or more activities performed.
To calculate the activities rate, the fixed costs are distributed to various activities on the basis of Splitting Structure defined for cost center.
    Variable Activity Cost:
Variable activity cost, which directly depend upon the activity type and fluctuate based on increase or decrease in manufacturing activities. In SAP variable activity cost are directly linked to the respective activity.
Activity Prices: Fixed and Variable Split
In Cost Center Accounting dividing the cost between Fixed and Variable requires appropriate split to be made in the cost entered for the activity. The process is described below:
    i.  Variable cost would be planned at activity level and expenses should be maintained at cost element in the manufacturing cost center by assigning activity and cost element combination.
In other word, the expenses should be planned on Activity type at the time of primary cost planning (KP06).
Then the variable activity rates are calculated on Total cost planned at Activity divided by Total number of activity planned at that cost center (i.e. capacity in KP26)
ii. Fixed cost would be planned at independent of activity type. These costs are maintained in KP06 at cost element level on manufacturing cost center.
Then the fixed costs are distributed on various activity types on the basis of Splitting structure defined at OKEW.
In Splitting Structure we define the rules, how the fixed cost will be distributed to Activities. For the purpose of this document, considering split of fixed cost on the basis of Capacity maintained in KP26.
