Cost planning for a project

Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell is there is any t-code to mass change of the cost planning for a project. If there is a t-code please explain me the procedure how to do it.

You can budegt a project by:
1. Transferring the values in the cost planning as budget.
2. Entering the budget directly into the WBS element.
PS STD cycle of creating Project is as follows:
1. Creating the Project in the Project builder
2. Using the relationships to link the activities
3. Planning the output & duration of activities
4. Sceduling the Project
5. Planning Costs
6. Allocating budget
7. Releasing the Project for execution
Choose Original Budget.
In the Planned total column, you see the values copied from cost planning.
Select the planned total column.
Choose Edit ® Copy view.
Percentage rate-100
Overwrite- Select
In the dialog box, enter the following data:
The system copies the values from cost planning into the budget.

Cost plan for sim version

Hi experts
The business requirement is as follows:
1) Project schedule option-1 with work packages and costing plan ( L1 schedule)
2) Project schedule option-2 with different work packages and relevant costing plan (L2 schedule)
Clien requires both of these as drafts
The requirement can be met by creating sim_ver1 and sim_ver2 in transaction CJV1 (with out having operative version).
Subsequently the approved sim version will be used for creating operative version.
But is it possible to maintain cost plan for sim versions?
If no, please suggest best practice.

You can only use network costing for simulation version. Other cost planning methods are not possible for simualtion version. Refer SAP Help

Yeah we do:
Scenario is like this:
Assume Business Planning is done at the begining of the Fiscal year.
And Manpower Planning is also done at the same time for the fiscal year.
Now, based on the MPP user would create Vacant Positions in OM.
Periodicity of Cost Planning could be Yearly/ Quarterly/ Monthly.
Whenever i create Vacant Position for Future Periods the system should calculate the Personnel Costs for the Vacant Positions for the same period.
I just wanted to know, which method would be the best if anyone has done this before.

Event for Cost Planning modification in Project System ( Cj40)

Hi gurus,
I'm unable to find a way to raise an event for the creation of cost plannning trought the CJ40. I've considered everything i know, from status change to exits/badi. Has anyone got similar requierements? ? I've seen some similar question in SDN, buy they are unaswered.
The only idea I have to create a document change from scratch, but i don't know if it it's possible.
Any suggestions.

I'm not an expert in the CJ40 transaction so there could be actually a standard solution. As far as your question is concerned, I will assume that change documents didn't work for you (transaction SWEC). If that is the case, have you considered implicit enhancement spots? If not, they could be an option. Basically, you find where the cost planning is saved. I'm talking about where the record is actually inserted into the database. It will typically be a function module. At the end of that function module, create an implicit enhancement implimentation. You need to check if the creation was successful and if so, create an event using function module SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT. Just make sure you don't set the commit flag if the system is going to commit after the function module is called.

Table for Settlement Cost(CJI3) for a project

Hi All,
I have a requirement to develop a report for a project, in that i got a req. to find out the settlement cost for a project.
we have standard report CJI3 to find the settel cost for a project but I am unable to debug the program as it use logical databases(PSJ).
Please advise me and let me know any table or Function module exists for same.

The table /s you are looking for could be one of these;
RPSCO Project info database: Costs, Revenues, Finances
COSP: Cost Object: Cost totals for external postings
COSS: Cost totals for internal postings
COSB:Total variances
COBK:Document header
COEP: Line items
You may need more than one table to meet your requirements.

Cost Planning for networks in a CO plan version other than 0

Hi,
We have a specific requirement of getting the planned cost in terms of $ and hours on a network activity getting posted to some other CO version other than 0 in certain cases.
It would be great if anyone could suggest a FM or a BAPI to achieve this end?

In Cj30 you will get the CO version '000 , If you want to your can copy cost planning values of your version V01 & V02 to
Version 0 and do the budgeting Because you actual will happen to 0 only so, to compare your plan should be there idealy.
Apart from that network cost planning can only be done in 0 version. And system give you option of copying the your preliminary plannning to version 0.

Trying to default a cost plan for PS from a CRM contract?

I am trying to default a cost plan (akin to a budget maintained in IM) onto CJ40.
This cost plan will be defaulted via a CRM table maintained especially for the appropriation/budget.
Has anyone defaulted a cost plan onto CJ40 and if so how?

Hi,
The message is because your position has the historical record flag (HRP1000-HISTO) set to u2018Xu2019. From SAP help:
Allows you to mark infotype records as historical records. Historical records are permanently stored on the database, so that you can report on the information at a later point in time.
NOTE: You cannot change records once they are marked as historical. As a result, you should not mark records as historical unless you no longer require them for processing.
Typically, the flag is set if a user has delimited an object through PP01. Youu2019d see the historical flag in the window that pops up.
To remove the flag, execute report RHHISTO0, enter the relevant details in the selection and execute. The next screen ill show you which record has the flag set. Select that row and click u201Cremove historical recordu201D button on top. You should then be able to remove cost center from the position.

For example-
Project1 is created for 10 days (start and end date difference).
Now in between -project is extended/changed for 12 days .
What is the way to get 2 days as a difference in base plan and current plan.

Hi Suraj,
You can follow a convention that -
(1) Forecast Start/Finish dates: Used only for Primary planning, once initial planning is done you should not change these dates.
Now, you will copy the same dates in Basic Start/Finish dates also.
(2) Basic Start/Finish dates: Whatever changes are done after the initial planning, you will make the changes only in Basic Start/Finish dates.
So, in Project Planning board, if you enable Forecast and Basic dates with different color coding, you can clearly see the variation in the Project schedule.

Is there a way to restore a resource plan for a project in 2010?

I am able to use administrative restore to restore a project's schedule and tasks but I would like to restore its related resource plan as well. Is this possible? Are resource plans archived in the database anywhere? I see a table in the archive database
for it but I don't see any data in the table.

Unfortunately when you restore a project plan, the associated resource plan is NOT restored. You have to recreated it again.

Planning for my Project

So, no actual implementation questions here, yay no searching for syntax errors!
My project is as follows:
in general, make a graph with street intersections and streets, and then give directions
Given a list of locations, number then as they are given to you (0 ==> n-1). These will be vertices.
Also given a list of streets (edges), 2 values will be attributed to them, length, and the speed of traffic (mph) (both of which are doubles)
the list of streets gives the location where the segment begins, and the segment ends (this means its a directed graph, a 2 way street will actually be 2 streets, one in each direction two and from the 2 locations)
THEN, given a start location and an end location, find the shortest path, and the quickest path
Graph: sparse graph means i should use a 'adjacency list' implementation
that means: each cell of an array has the vertex name (street intersection) and a reference to a list of edges (streets) that are outgoing from this vertex. In the list of edges, each node of edges should have also have the info of what vertex it goes to (id number originally given, which will be the index of the vertex in this array), the distance, and the time it takes to travel the road (distance / speed)
Finding the shortest path: use Dijkstra's Algorithm
this means i need a Priority Queue implemented with a min heap (requirement). i want to implement the min heap with an arraylist
my TA says the entries in the PQ should be (key, vertex), and the key is a double, and that the entries need to be location aware. i believe that means the vertex has a reference to the 'node' in the minheap.

so what i'm confused about is... what are the objects i need? i know it sounds like i just wrote them down, but i'm kind of disoriented.
should i make a edge object, a vertex object, and then an entry object? any advice on the organization of this is greatly appreciated... my TA kinda told us really quickly basically what to do, but it went way over my head.

Plan versions: A plan version is created in accounting and stores different cost plans for a project, such as an "optimistic" and a "pessimistic" plan.
Now coming to plan version 0 is verson where actaul cost is updated in your organisation.
Plan version 1 is used for the planning...
How to see the same in CJE5 is suggested by Virendra..
However there is no filed name planned cost in report but the name of the filed is Proj.cost sched.000
with which you can achieve your result.
path is run txn CJE5>give your Project no.> F8> in new screen> F5-->in new Window scroll down in the right side for the Proj.cost sched.000 filed > with select take the same to left side>Enter--> values will displyed for this field in your report.
similarly you can use the other fields as well... take help of F4, to know the meaning of fileds.

Easy Cost Planning & Project Stock

Dear Experts,
I am using Easy cost planning for WBS cost planning and Project definition control data tab page has Valuated Project stock selected.My costing model had an external procurement material for which I generated PR & PO thru Execution services.But the account assignment in my PR & PO was P with the corresponding WBS as account assignment and not Q.
I have two question regarding this,
1) Does it mean that while using ECP, Project stock concept will not work?
2)How can we get the pop up of procurement type options(like Res + PR for WBS element) while generating PR through execution services?

I tried your scenario is my system.
whenever i am changing P to Q in Config in SPRO,It is giving an error that "The selected account assignment category is not supported" that means it is not meant for Q but i double click for object type PR WBS Element and changed Acct Assgmt Cat to Q then system allowed me to save.
The i create a PR and WBSE is coming in the Account Assignement ,then i converted PR to PO and then i recived goods as project stock.when i issued the material in ECP it is not issuing from Project stock because 221 Q is not present in Config for SPRO so it is issuing from Normal stock so special stock from ECP is not supported.
But you can manually issue the material to the WBSE in MIGO/MB1A by 221 Q.
