COST table diffrent version

Hello,
I would like to know why are there 2 entires for some entries in the Cost Center for the same Object ID,pretty much everything is the same except the Version. And its not neccessary for every year to be like that.Like i have one fr 1998 has 2 versions, while 1999 just has one and 2007 has three versions ie 000,001 and 002.
I am a  developer and so which one should i consider for reporting or should i consider all of it.Please advise?
Thanks.

Check the versions created in transaction code OKEQ and 'Settings for each fiscal year' in the dialog structure.  In this transaction, version 0 is automatically created when the controlling area is created.  Additional versions can be created here, which is usually done for planning.  Multiple planning data can be entered into the system (using various versions), compared and when final and approved, planning is done in version 0.  Version 0 is also the default for actual data in controlling.  You should be good if you consider just version 0 in table COST, if you are dealing with actual data.  For planning data, you should ask the person who gave the requirement to you, as to which version should you pick up.

  • Sales Order Costing using prod version

    Hi Guru,
My client use MTO and have prod version 1000 & 2000.  When I create SO and choose prod.version 1000,  prod.order created using BOM/Routing in prod.version 1000, so the prod order cost plan.
But in costing SO, prod version 2000 is use as base in qty structure, it's mean SO plan cost is based on prod version 2000, not 1000.
How the logic of SO costing ? where config to be set in order to get SO costing based on prod version choosen.
Reward will given to any input.
    Thanks

You may want to have a look at OKK5 - Quantity structure determination.(QSD)
Choose the Quantity Structure control and double click. Then click on the BOM application. In there, there is section for override alternative selection from material master. There is a check box for production version. whose help reads as
This indicator shows that, when alternatives are selected automatically according to application, the production versions maintained in the material master record are used as selection criteria.
    Dependencies
<b>In the MRP view of the material master, in the requirements explosion data, the indicator for selecting alternative BOMs is maintained.
When you explode the  BOM, only the alternatives for which selection by production version (2) is defined are taken into account for selection.</b>

    hi ,
i too had same issue , i wrote following FS for that :
Actual and planned cost  from PMCO-WRT00 to WRT12(the sum of values should be considered for actual as well as planned ) for  PMCO-OBJNR taken from CAUFV -OBJNR for order number  AFIH-AUFNR  and also currency from CAUFV-WAERS .
Actual cost will have valuation type PMCO-WRTTP = 4 and planned cost will have valuation type  PMCO-WRTTP = 1 , which will be placed in different column

  • Unable to join Unit Cost(Cost table) to Sales Table.

    Hi All,
I am beginner for OBIEE technology.May be this question is silly for you but i am facing issue in it.I am mentioning my issue below:-
We have two tables one is SALES(Fact Table ) and second one is COST (Fact Table). I want to apply Calculation Measures on this logical tables(BMM Layer). As per Oracle document, when they are dragging Unit_Cost column from Cost table (Physical Layer) to Sales table then no logical source table is creating for them but when i am trying this then I am getting one more logical source table (COST).So my doubts are :-
    1) Why is the other LST is creating for me?
    2) I s there any join require between COST and SALES Table to remove this Logical source table(Cost)?
Please let me know if any clarification is require on this issue.
    Thanks
    Shashank Jain

it is correct. we you have two or more sources for same logical table obiee will create LTS for each source. you can't join these two fact tables physically but they will join using conformed dimension(common dim) based on physical schema design in physical layer.
    Thanks
    Jay.

  • "starter placer cost table" option in FPGA

Can someone explain when to use the "starter placer cost table" option in FPGA?
    Steve

For others reading this, here's what we're talking about:
Here's what the Xilinx Documentation says about it (it's a map & place and route feature):
    Starting Placer Cost Table (1-100)
Specifies a placement initialization value with which to begin the Place and Route attempts. Each subsequent attempt is assigned an incremental value based on the placement initialization value. Select a number from 1 to 100.
The number you choose corresponds to a cost table index and results in different Place and Route strategies. Cost tables assign weighted values to relevant factors such as constraints specified in the input file (for example, certain components must be in certain locations), the length of connections, and the available routing resources. Cost-based placement is described in the "PAR" chapter of the Command Line Tools User Guide.
By default, this property is set to 1.
Basically, it's the starting seed for the Xilinx Algorithms that try to get all of your logic in the right place on the FPGA.
So, back to your question: when should you change it? I would say almost never. I think the best time to use it is if you're running into a PAR bug that causes the compilation to hang or crash. It can help you meet timing, but you're likely going to have to do a lot (hundreds) of compilations to find the right value. Since we only let you use a random value... hitting that checkbox might let you meet timing when you compile, and then not the next time. Useful if you're tight on timing and have a final design that you're trying to get a bitfile for. Not so useful during development.

a.Insert the Cost Rate Table Column
b.If necessary, reposition the cost rate table column
c.In the cost rate table column, from the cost rate table drop-down list corresponding to the appropriate assignment, select the desired cost rate table.
    d.Just press Enter
-Set a different cost rate table in the Assignment Information dialog box.
    a. Double-click the appropriate resource or task corresponding to the desired assignment to display the Assignment Information dialog box.
    b. On the General page, from the Cost rate table drop-down list, select the appropriate cost rate table.
    c. Click OK.
    For Group Cost:
Group costs using the Group Definition dialog box:
    1. Display the Cost table, or insert the appropriate columns in the desired view.
    2. On the View tab, in the Data section, choose Group by→More Groups to display
    the More Groups dialog box.
    3. If you want then, select Task or Resource to specify the type of group to create.
    4. Click New to display the Group Definition dialog box
    5. In the Group Definition dialog box, specify the desired settings.
    • In the Name text box, type a suitable name for the new group.
    • Check the Show in menu check box to display the new group on the Group by submenu.
    • Check the Group assignments, not tasks or Group assignments, not resources check box to display only resources or tasks, respectively.
    • In the Group Definition table, specify the grouping criteria.
    a. In the Field Name column, from the Field Name drop-down list corresponding to Group By, select the desired column name.
    b. If you need then, in the Order column, select Ascending or Descending to sort results in ascending or descending order, respectively.
    c. If necessary, in the remaining Then By rows of the Group Definition table, specify more grouping criteria.
In the Group by setting for section, select the required Group By or Then By row and specify the desired font, cell background color, and pattern to be applied to tasks or resources that match the grouping criteria.
    I hope it helps you...

  • Cost table in unifier

    Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to add a cost table where we can see the forecast month by month or quarter by quarter : roughly speaking, a way to associate dates with costs. I didn't found how to do it whit the cost sheet.
Many thanks in advance for your support
    Thomas

The Cash Flow will provide what you are looking for. You can define the Forecast column in the Costs Sheet as your source of cost and then you can define date ranges and profile curves to be applied to the forecast.

  • Reallocation of Cost to Diffrent Cost Centers

    Hi
I want  costs posted to cost centre 9xxx could be reallocated to cost centers 2xxxxx and 2xxxxxx1
How to reallocate costs to diffrent cost centers
    Thanks
    Imran

    Hi Imran,
You can use the distribution & asessment cycle for allocation of costs. In distribution cycle you can allocate primary costs whereas in assessment you can assess primary & secondary costs through an assessment cost element.
    If useful....assign points.

  • Delete Variance data from COSB table for version 1

    Hi,
We are trying to change the Valuation of version 1 from Legal to Profit center in OKEQ.
While doing so, we are trying to remove variance indicator due to error message KT337.
When trying to uncheck variance indicator for this version there is error message KV853.
SAP per SAP note 337183, if there are any dependent entries in COSB table (CO Object: Total Variances/Results Analyses) we get this message.
Now the question is how can i delete the variance data with version 1 from the table COSB.
    Message no. KT337 :
    Valuation variance from version "000"
    Diagnosis
You are maintaining version 1 in controlling area 1000. The actual indicator is not active and at least one of the two indicators WIP and Variance are active. In this case, the valuation in version 1 must match the valuation of version '000'. This is not the case: 2 <> 0.
    Procedure
Activating the indicators WIP and Variance with the actual indicator being inactive at the same time requires valuation 0.
    Message no. KV853
Variance calculation cannot be reset - there are dependent entries

  • SAP - Cost Center Planning - Version 1

    Dear All
Recently we have started to use the cost center planning through KP16 under plan version -1
However we are unable to down the plan data in excel with a cost center break up through KSBP report.
We are not using any special ledger
System is showing the following error
No plan cost line items recorded.
    Message no. KB419
    Diagnosis
No planned costs line items are written to controlling area DXES in version 1 of fiscal year 2009.
    System Response
    The report cannot be executed.
    Procedure
Check your selection criteria or activate the line item update function.
    Note
The line item update function is controlled depending on the application:
    Cost center planning
Here you can define the update for each version and fiscal year. You can maintain the corresponding indicator (integrated planning) in the version maintenance (settings for the fiscal year).
    This indicator you can either
set manually when creating a version or
set later via the menu sequence "Planning -> Planning aids -> Integration active".
    Regards
    Anilkumar

    Hi,
The impact is that the planning is stored also as line items and the planning is integrated between the CO-PCA components. In SAP words:
    - All available plan records for controlling area/version/fiscal year are posted as line items. The R/3 System posts these line items to the AC interface.
    - Any existing line items in the plan allocation transactions (plan assesment, distribution, or accrual calculation) are posted to the AC interface as well and made available to other components.
    Regards,
    Eli

  • CATS-Cost table

    Hi all,
I am trying to generate a new report for CATS time entries. In which table can I get the cost for the particular hours confirmation per employee (Not cost of the PM order as a whole; instead the confirmation wise cost data) Can anyone please tell which table contains this field? COEP table is not helping as I need the cost of the employee for individual PM order confirmations
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jegashree

    Hi Jegashree,
You can get the details like employee no/name and PM order no. as well as the cost per hours from table CATSM .
In this you will get the hours per actiivty type and i suppose you must have defined the cost of the activity in KP26......
will  this be useful for your query????
