Cost work center A to work center B

Dear All,
I must to modeling this situation:
I created an production order. In routing I used an work center A.
After I confirmed a half of quantity, I want to transfer the cost the work center A to and other work center B.
I want to keep the history u2018s confirmations on the work center A.
The first confirmation CO11N on the order 1 and work center A => Quantity 1 hrs.
Actually we transfer the cost by KB15N by at the level EOTP.
We want to push the cost down at the work center.
So we want this situation :
The first confirmation CO11N on the order 1 and work center A => Quantity 1 hrs.
The second confirmation on the order 1 and work center A=> Qauntity -1 hrs ( Itu2019s possible and how?)
The third confirmation CO11N on the order 2 and work center 2 => Quantity 1 hrs.
Thank you for your answer.
Regards,
Géraldine

Hello,
The user clock in his time by CO11N, for example 2 hrs, on the posting date 2011.02.01 (on the project A).
After the cost transfer into CO.
At the end of the project, on the posting date 2011.06.01 , we want to transfer 1 hrs and the cost to an other project B.
I try two incorrects solutions :
- The first : I can't use the CAT5 by negative value.
- The second : The user don't want to modify or cancel the initial confirmation.
How can i to deduct one hour from the initial project to the second project, and i want to keep the information work center ?
Can you help me ?

  • Assigning Manual Cost/Profit Center in Sales/Purchase Order

I don't really know how to describe my problem, so I will instead describe my situation of what I need to do.
We have all our G/L accounts associated with Cost elements with no Cost/Profit centers set as default.  The cost elements represent our services (ex: internet sale, hardware sale, software sale) and our cost/profit centers represent our employees.  My question is how/where do I assign a cost/profit center manually when creating the sales/purchase order?  Basically I would preferably like to assign the cost/profit center based on the corresponding sales person to the sales order.  For the purchase order we are acting as a middle man between vendor and customer, so how would we assign a manual cost/profit center that pertains to us?
If you have a good solution to this, please provide detailed steps or instructions with t-codes and walkthroughs as I have very little knowledge about how the cost/profit centers work.  I do understand sales/purchase orders though.

    Hi Lee
There is a transaction code OKB9 for automatic assignment of Cost Element, Cost Center, Profit Center for a Company Code. There you have to assign the Cost Center and Profit Center combination to a particular cost element.
I hope this will work out for your problem
Please let me know it is working or not
    Regards
    Surya

  • Cost / work project revenue distribution

    Hi
I am looking at cost / work project revenue distribution results and I see that GDR created 2 lines in the revenue: one for expenditure and one for the event. I know that event was created from billing extension. The expenditure line has 0 distribution. The accrued_revenue and accrual_rate columns are set to 0. I cannot find where and how this 0 lines gets created. Is this seeded logic for cost / work type projects? Your help on this greatly appreciated.
    thank you in advance

  • Cost/Profit Center Hierarchies

    Hi
Are Cost/Profit Center Hierarchies standard objects in MDM. My Client is looking to maintain these centrally and dictribute accross the landsacape.
If not how easy(?) would it be to set them up?

    Klaus,
Is there any supporting documentation that shows best practices and methodologies for implementing a security strategy in support of the profit center hierarchy?  Best practices for developing the hierarchy and then for supporting the hierarchy from a security standpoint to allow various levels of viewing based on the hierarchy (profit center).
    Thanks,

  • Actual Cost worker

The transactions is done on present system date but actual cost worker shows the details(date updated) as next future date. Why is it so?

Please check your "Cost Cutoff" setup on the (R) Inventory: (M)Setup->Organizations->Parameters ->(T)Costing Information.
Normally, it's future date which means, all transactions done on or before the date setup. You may also set the field to blank(check on the User Guide for more info).

  • Layer Cost Worker Error

    Hi All,
The Layer Cost Worker concurrent program is scheduled & running with error. When I fetch the details from back end, I found out that it was a child concurrent program of costing manager.
And Cosing Manager status_code was 'I'. So if I cancel the parent, then the chils concurrent program also gets stopped.
But, I want to know what impact it will cause if I cancel costing manger. And how can I solve the issue in layer cost worker CCP.
    Thanks,
    R. Balachandran

If Costing manager is stopped then you will end up with material txns not being costed which will effect your FIFO or LIFO costed items.

    Hi
We are using custom designed ZIBIZA_DOC_POST transaction code for uploading text files to company code 0303. We are able to upload the data using the above transaction code for the G/L account 24221030 (Non-Guaranteed Accommodation Balance sheet account) profit centre FXXX.
Where as for G/l account 41141010 (Handling cost a/c profit and loss account) profit center FXXX, I am unable to upload the same data, it shows the following error.
The Company Codes do not match with cost/profit center.
Where as for the same G/l accounts in company code 0311 it is getting uploaded correctly for the above two accounts i.e.
24221030 (Non-Guaranteed Accommodation Balance sheet account) with different profit center G730
41141010 (Handling cost a/c profit and loss account) with different profit center G730
We are not getting the above error in the company code 0311.

  • How does the flow of costs works in SAP PM?

    Dear Experts,
I just wonder how SAP PM handle the flow of costs from the point the maintenance order is created to the point of completion.
And also where do all the costs pre-recorded such as man-hour rate, is it in the "work center" master or somewhere else?
    Regards,
    Abraham

    Cost flow in maintenance orders:
I am summing up the answers already given.
    1.     Estimated costs: This is an approximate value, entered during creation of maintenance order. This value is for information purposes only and will not be validated any where.
    2.     Planned costs: When external procurement of spare(non-stock)/services are required, they are entered in the maintenance order. The spares will have cost in material master. Service cost is entered manually while creation of maintenance order. These costs are calculated when the order is brought to u2018Releaseu2019 status, and appear as u2018planned costsu2019 in the costs tab.
    3.     Subsequent purchasing activity u2013PR to PO conversion is done and when the material is inwarded, the actual cost as per PO, flows to maintenance order u2013 and populated as u2018Actual costsu2019. Same case happens when service entry sheet is created for external services.
    4.     Now the cost sits with the maintenance order. This must be settled to a cost center, assigned to the equipment, for which maintenance order is processed. When actual settlement is done for the order, the actual cost moves to the cost center and the order value becomes zero. This activity is required from FI Controlling point of view, to accrue the total expenses done on the equipment and adding them to the production cost incurred, using that equipment.

  • Cost & Profit Center

    Hi,
I have some question need your advise. How to relate between cost center and profit center in SAP? Pls kindly advise.
    Regard
    Bird

    Hi,
Cost and Profit Centres are used for different purposes but both are for management reporting and control. Former is structured on internal view of the org whereas the latter is structured to the external view of org. Cost Centres are typcially departments/functional areas where costs can identified and allocated to, the latter is more from responsibility accounting (segments of business).
Cost Centre Master has Profit centre as an assignment field.

  • Cost center/work cost center

What is the difference between work cost cneter and cost center(cost center capture the cost via cost elements).but what abour work cost centers,

    Dear Madhu,
    COST CENTER INFORMATION:
    Cost Center (KS01 - Create, KS02 - Change, KS03 - Display)
    Definition of a Cost Center:
Master data and Configuration settings found in Controlling...
"An organizational unit within a controlling area that represents a defined location of cost incurrence."
The definition can be based on:
    Functional requirements
    Allocation criteria
    Physical location
    Responsibility for costs
    WORK CENTER INFORMATION:
The following is information on how to create a work center and use it. If you need further information simply hit F1 Help in the application to explain the use of the main fields.
    Work Center (CR01 - Create, CR02 - Change, CR03 - Display)
Using the data maintained for a work center, you can
    - Determine which machines or people are to be used in the operations
    - Calculate costs, capacities and dates for the operations
Transaction: OP42 - Allows you to Configure the default value for Work Center during the initial creation.
After creating many work center in the Routing, the users might want to check what materials and components allocation have been updated with this work center.  You can used this program [Work Center in Routing - Search through all the routing for the material and component allocation used (|http://www.sap-basis-abap.com/abap008.htm]).
The standard program transaction CA80, checks where the work center was used in the routing.  However, it did not list the components allocation for the work center.
Pooled Capacity field - When a production order 1234567 has the capacity requirement on its work center Wxxxxx. It means it has the requirement on pooled capacity Pxxxxx.  If more than one work center shared this pooled capacity, the requirement (transaction CM01) will be shown on all the work center with the SAME shared pooled capacity.
I hope this helps to clarify the purpose of the Cost Center  and Work Center and how they can be used.
    Kind Regards,
    Brendan

  • Cost center on CAT2

Is there a way to default funds/cost center  in CAT2 screen? Our requirement is to control the way the cost/funds center appear in the CAT2 screen based on the position the employee holds. If the position is XYZ, then the cost/funds center should either default to the home cost center of the employee and the time admin should have the flexibility to charge a portion of the hours to a different WBS element/Cost/Funds center. Also, the WBS elements should be available as a drop down list in the CAT2 screen.
    Your inputs are highly appreciated.

    Hi Brad,
Thank you so much for your inputs. I did read about the infotype 315 for defaulting cost center. Since this would require manual creation/mass upload of cost center to each of the employees, it would be easier to have this defaulted directly from the CAT2 screen with a drop down list to chose from. I guess we have to look at user exits to achieve this (?)
Would you be able to give me some help on how to activate the cost center, WBS elements on the CAT2 screen? I have tried to do this in the CAC1 where I saw two check boxes for master  cost center and cost center. I didnt see any cost center fields in the cat2 screen after checking these boxes. Another question is, how do I get the WBS elements displayed as a drop down list. Please excuse me if I am repeating the questions that you think you have already answered. I am brand new to this.
What did you mean by planning? Did you mean OM? If it is OM, yes we do use it. How can we have the list displayed in this case? User exit?
    Thanks so much.

  • Iomega Zip 100 Drive Stopped Working in OS 10.4.4

We have 3 G4 Macs which have internal Zip 100 drives installed. they have all worked fine until we upgraded to system 10.4.4, and now the computer does not recognize the zip disk when inserted.
Iomega says that the software for the drives is native to OS X, and they do not have a driver update beyond 4.0.2. I am stumped in trying to figure out how to get the drives working again, and will welcome help on this problem.
    Dudley

Hi, Dudley. It looks like Iomega has abandoned the old and now very obsolete Zip 100 technology in favor of newer, larger, faster, more reliable, longer-lived, and higher-capacity removable media, notably the 35GB-per-cartridge Rev technology. I doubt that either Iomega or Apple will bother to write a driver for Zip 100 drives that is compatible with any recent version of OS X, never mind any future version.
When a 100MB Zip disk costs around $5 (when you can still find them), a 700MB CD-R costs 15 cents, a 4.7GB DVD-R costs $2, and huge, fast hard drives go for $.30-.$35/GB, there's just no reason to keep using Zip100 drives or disks. Put Zip's very high costs together with the very limited lifespan of a Zip disk, and you get a technology that is dead, dead, dead.
Find an old Mac that can still read your Zip disks, copy everything off all of them onto a FireWire hard drive, and say goodbye to Zips.
