Seems like you have corruption in OS X itself likley due to your hard drive having a bad sector and failing on a essential system file according to the loaded kext files.
You can do a #8 Reinstall Just OS X which will leave your users files and apps alone.
If your on 10.7 or 10.8, reboot the machine holding the command and r keys down (or option key), you'll enter a Recovery partition and there will be a option to Reinstall OS X over the Internet from Apple.
You will need your Apple ID and password.
Go ahead and do that and all should be well.

If your on 10.6, then you do the same, but hold the c or option key down and boot from the 10.6 disk that goes with that machine. No Internet needed, but you will need to Software Update fully after the reboot and that does need the Internet.

I seem to have found a way around it. Rather than switching libraries by going into files/switch libraries I used Aperture Preferences to change them. I've done it a couple of times and it appears to work OK.
That is an interesting finding. It suggests, that your "Preferences" file "com.apple.Aperture.plist" may have been corrupted and you fixed it this way. Can you now switch between libraries the usual way? If not, I'd try to remove the "preferences" file from the user library to the Desktop and relaunch Aperture.

I asked because an awful lot of people have recently been confused between downloading the Cloud and the perpetual versions of Lr - although I'm not automatically assuming your'e guilty of this - and can't understand why their serial no won't unlock their new software.

I�m a working with JMS Tutorial of Jms.(J2EE 1.3.1). I follow all the steps of the tutorial, and when i write
"java -Djms.properties=%J2EE_HOME%\config\jms_client.properties SimpleQueueSender MyQueue 3"
The console shows me the following error:

I don�t know hot to fix this error. The classpath, and all the variables are correctily defined. I use XP o.s., jdkse 1.4 and j2see 1.3.1, and i repeat, i follow the steps of the tutorial. Could anyone help me?

Well, it looks as if somehow your command window is converting periods into forward slashes, since "1.3.1" appears in the output as "1/3/1" and "jms_client.properties" appears as "jms_client/properties". That is why the file is not found. If you can figure out how to stop it from doing this, the java command should be able to find the file. I'm afraid I know nothing about Windows XP command windows, however.

HT1766 I can't get my iPod to "backup" to iCloud. It started and told me the estimated time remaining. When I came back, it said it couldn't be completed because the verification request timed out. Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening?

Another thing is, I'm trying to display chinese characters using jsp page. When I use Tomcat-3.2.1, i can view the chinese characters correctly, but when I converted to Tomcat-3.3a (due to the newer version of JDBC API available in Tomcat-3.3a), it don't seems to recognize the html META Header that I use to encode the jsp page.
Is there anyway if making Tomcat-3.3a read the header or what ???

I dont know whether you are still getting the error. This error seem to be result of closing the output stream accidently or manually for some reason. so look out for 'out.close' or other 'out' operations which deals either with flushing or closing the stream. By removing the statement I solved this problem.

I updated to Firefox 4 and there's no orange Firefox button and the Menu Bar is still there (File, Edit, View, etc.). Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

As the question states, I tried updating from Firefox 3 to Firefox 4 two different ways and though I see a difference, it's definitely not all of Firefox 4. I updated with the auto update installer and downloaded the exe and installed and it's still not right. I don't have the new Firefox style or the Infamous Orange Firefox button. My Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, Etc...) is still there as well. The only thing that has really changed is the tabs going above the URL bar. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

To get the new style UI you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

Movement type 301 is used to transfer material from a storage location in one plant to a storage location in a different plant. The value of the material is transferred at the moving average price of the issuing plant.
Movement 301 needs to be used each time material is moved from plant to plant. Normally both plants would be within the same agency and the physical distance not great when this movement type is used.
A goods issue for a stock transport order with delivery in Shipping is posted using movement types 641, 643, 645, or 647.
647 Goods issue for a stock transport order in one step
(Shipping)
Unlike movement type 641 when a goods issue is posted using movement type 647, a goods receipt line (movement type 101) is generated automatically in the receiving plant. If a purchase order item is flagged as a returns item in the stock transport order, you can post the goods receipt of the returns in the issuing plant with movement type 677.

I have a TON of bookmarks that I want to back up, but when I open the window to organize them, back them up, etc., none of them are there! Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

On the dropdown menu where my bookmarks are, I select "show all bookmarks", which opens up a window called "Library". I should have hundreds of bookmarks, but none of them are showing in this window.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Can anyone tell me why this project is sticking in the timeline?

Hi guys.
I have been using FCP for a while now with great success.
Generally I record on my handycam which is a mini DVD format. then I process the clips though mpg streamclip to DV pal and they become ".mov" files. (I do this to demux the clips audio from the video)
Then I have no problems working in the time line.
But recently I introduced a new camera to the mix.
It is a head cam, A 1.3 Mpixel CMOS Senor, video and audio, 640x480 at 30 frames per second. It records onto a micro SD card in avi format.
Now when I drop these files into the time line I experience a lot of "Choking" and "Pausing" from the computer.
It seems that the hard drive cannot handle the footage. Even when I place the playhead over the normal ".mov" files it struggles.
And even when I make a quicktime movie from the sequence I have the same previewing trouble in quicktime or any other media player for that matter.
My Tech specs are as follows.
A 13 month old Mac Book Pro with 4GB ram, External USB hard drive for the clips. (but it's the same when clips are stored on the desktop).
So do I need to convert these avi files through mpeg streamclip to ".mov" files first as I do with my other files, in order to be able to work with them?

HT5188 I've created an itunes account without credit card, but I can't buy any free apps. Could anyone tell me why.

Recently I've created a new itunes account without credit,but unfortunately fail to buy any free apps.
When I press the "download" button, a pop-up appear and ask me to complete the billing info.
The point is that many of my friends can buy free apps by creating non credit account, but why I couldn't?
Just feel confused.

I found out the hard way on this one. All you need is to use the drop down and put mr, mrs etc and then be sure to select none for the billing if you do not want to use a credit card. Apple does not explain this little step when it asking for your billing information.

Can anyone tell me why this doesnt' work please

I too find the same problem not locating all the print services, then i use defualt print service and it works, another error i was getting that of invalid flavor so i then get all the doc flavor supported by my printer and use AUTOSENSE. Following is the code that u can test:

Now my problem is i am trying to print the html file and its printing the html file including all the html tags, can anybody help how can i be able to print only that area that viewable to user in the internet explorer and not all the html tags:

Could anyone tell me why my HP envy 100 would suddenly stop scanning

All of a sudden my HP envy 100 printer will not scan or copy. It did scan and copy at one time but not now. The white light is moving like it is trying to scan, but the preview comes out just a bunch of lines. I printed it, thinking that maybe the preview was not working, but exactly what was previewed (a bunch of lines) is what printed.
I am kinda frustrated - first none of the apps work, and now this. The only thing it is still doing successfully is printing from both my notebook and my ipad. I guess I should be grateful for small favors...
Anyway, if anyone can help with a suggestion I would be most appreciative. I am not a tech geek but I do have some knowledge so I might be able to try a suggestion if anyone has one. Thank you!

is there an error message? try to start a program in the console with
JAVA myclassname
and see if there is an errormessage. or do you have a program which is changing your autoexec.bat so that the classpath is gone?

Could anyone tell me why some artists are missing from my Artists list?

I've had that problem before. Check your compilations. If any of the songs are part of a compilation, they might not show up. Then again, my iPod went all crazy one night and listed even the ones that were in compilations as the single artist, but then went back to not displaying all of them the next day. I'd say check to see if any of the songs are part of compilations and if you're really wanting to just display that artist, Get Info on those songs and select NO for making them part of a compilation. Hope it works out for you.

Could anyone tell me why this problem is happening over and over?
