Could not install J2SE v 1.4.2_04 SDK with NetBeans 3.6

when trying to install, gives error: the wizard cannot continue because of the following error: could not load wizard specified in /wizard.inf (104)

Hola amigo,
Well, I had the same Error, but I could find a solution for it issue. You must rename a file called sax.jar in the directory %JAVA_HOME%/jre/lib/endorsed/sax.jar for any other name, So that netBeans dose'nt find it file. I Don't know waht is the really cause, but in the netBeans.org said that it's a incorrect Sax version.
I did it and colud achieve a sucessefull instaltion.

  • Could not load file or assembly 'BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Sdk' with 64 bit SDK

I am running across an error that I do not fully understand when trying to get the SDK to work for 4.1 SP04. I have been trying to get this solution for a while now. I am able to run the SDK functionality with the 32 bit version without an issues however, my client would like to run the 64 bit version to align with their architecture. I have added the x64 DLLs to my project in VS2013, and compiled and built the project as a 64 bit project. I am receiving the following error message:

I have made sure that I am referencing the 64 bit sdk .dlls from C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\. I only have 64 bit installed as well. Are InfoStore, Framework, and PluginManager only x86?
    Thanks!

    Hi Dustin
You do  not need to be concerned if your app references 32 or 64 bit assemblies. VS being 32 bit, needs to reference 32 bit assemblies in order to compile correctly. Thus running the app from the VS IDE, you wil be using 32 bit assemblies. Using a compiled exe or a DLL, the app will use 32 bit or 64 bit assemblies depending on how the app was compiled and "bitness" of the OS.
E.g;; an app compiled as 32 bit will require 32 bit assemblies
An app compiled as 64 bit will run 64 bit assemblies - on 64 bit OS only.
An app compiled as "Any CPU", will run 32 b it or 64 bit assemblies, depending on the OS. On a 64 bit OS, the app will by definition use 64 bit assemblies (but it is up to you to deploy the 64 bit runtime - not the 32 bit runtime). On a 32 bit OS the app will use 32 bit assemblies.

  • Could not install 10.5.3 for ipod -- Problem with the windows installer

"There is a problem with the Windows Installer package.  A program required for this install to complete could not be run.  Contact your support personel or package vendor."
    What program needs to run?
Apple has 68 billion dollars in the bank and they can't get a program running?

It's more like your computer can't get it running.
What have you tried to do to troubleshoot the problem?  By the way, it might be more helpful to post this in the iTunes forum since it's related to the iTunes application as this forum is for the iPod Classic.

I do the chmod and this works ok
I type ./j2sdk-1_4_2_04-nb-3_6-bin-linux.bin ( this is the instruction from Sun)
and then get the error message:

From what I've read online this problem seems to be born of installing SCCm on the D: drive which throws dotNET. A few people seem to have had some luck with editing two of the dotNET files (regsvcs.exe.config and InstallUtil.exe.config) to include
    the following lines:
        <runtime>
            <loadfromRemoteSources enabled="true"/>
        </runtime>
In pursuit of a fix, I took backups of both files and then made the change to regsvc.exe.config but I was unable to do the same with Installutil.exe.config (opening the file in Admin Notepad would only let me Save As...).
Can anyone suggest what the problem could be? Am I barking up the wrong tree with the config file editing? Any info/advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
You could try to copy Installutil.exe.config and edit the copy-file. Then copy the edited file to replace the old file.

  • Every time I launch Firefox it pops up an error stating "Firefox could not install this item because "install.rdf" (provided by the item) is not well-formed or does not exist. Please contact the author about this problem."

Firefox could not install this item because "install.rdf" (provided by the item) is not well-formed or does not exist. Please contact the author about this problem.
The statement above is in the pop up error box every time, when I launch Firefox. If I click ok in the box Firefox then opens. How do I fix this initializing/launch problem?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).<br />
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.<br />
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")<br />

  • Trying to install the new itunes update and it keeps saying error could not install itunes. Currently I am running windows 7. Any advise to fix this problem.

Trying to install the new itunes update and it keeps saying error could not install itunes. Currently I am running windows 7. Any advise to fix this problem. This is doing this when installing itunes/quicktime, safari 5, mobileme control panel, and the software update itself. The itunes version is 10.3.1

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • OS X could not install on this disk. Not enough disk space

    Hi,
Disclamer here is that I am completely new to the Mac world after having used purely Windows for the last 15 odd years so sory for any silly mistakes
I tried to do an upgrade on my Mac Book Air but am running into a really annoying issue am hoped that someone would be able to give me some much needed help.
I downloaded Mavericks from the app store with no issues. I then tried to do the upgrade and I get to the OS X installer screen, were I chose my language then hit next. I then select the harddrive to install on press install. I then get to the Installing X screen and status says Installing OXS on the disk "Macintosh HD"
After a few seconds I get a message saying "OS X could not install on this disk. There is not enough space on this disk to install the selected items. Deselect at least 1.16 GB and try again"
I appreciate that I need to delete some files but how can I get get to the files in order to delete them as, as soon as I resart the PC I get caught in the same loop
Manu thanks for taking the time to look at this and for your help

If you cannot get into your Mac at all, if you MacBook Air is still under AppleCare, you can purchase an external hard drive to connect up  to your MacBook Air (MBA), bring both the drive and your Mac in an Appe Store or Apple Auhtorized reseller/repair center so Apple techs can install a bootable copy of OS X 10.9 Mavericks onto the external drive where you can boot to that drive from your MBA and access your MBA's internal hard drive and start cleaning off and archiving data.
You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Delete any other mail in your Junk folders. Also, look through your Sent Mail to see if there is anything that can be deleted.
Other things you can do to gain space.
Once you have around 15 GBs regained, do a search, download and install OmniDisk Sweeper.
This app will help you locate files that you can move/archive and/or delete from your system.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
    Good Luck!

I downloaded Montain Lion several times. I could not install. It said `could not be verified or corrupted'. How to solve this? Can I get a refund?

On your profile, you say that you are using Mountain Lion. Is that correct? If you are using Mountain Lion, you don't have to download the Mountain Lion installer again.
Also, that error is usually caused by problems with your Internet connection or your hard disk, so first, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and verify the disk. If it's OK, you have problems with your Internet connection, so contact with your ISP

  • Acrobat 9 could not install correctly

I just bought CS5 and I had no problems installing the CS programs, but I can't install Acrobat 9 Pro.  I can copy the files to my applications folder, but whenever I click on Acrobat Pro it prompts me to enter my password to make changes.  After I do this it automatically gives me the error message, "Acrobat could not install correctly.  Acrobat was unable to install and must quit."  I don't know what the problem is and I've been unable to find the answer online.  I would appreciate any help on this.

  • "Adobe Acrobat could not install correctly"

Has a fix been found yet for this damn annoying problem.
I get this message regularly on my Mac G5, Leopard 10.5.2. I must have reinstalled the program about 5 times by now. It works properly for a few days, then this-
"Adobe Acrobat could not install correctly"
"A required component was not found, please restore the Adobe Acrobat folder from your original CD".
Doing a forum search, I noticed people were having this same problem as far back as October 2007. Has it been resolved yet, and if so how?

I discovered that when I initially install Acrobat it works fine. However, after I run the program Monolingual, which removes languages and architectures that my Intel Mac does not require, Acrobat has this exact failure.
I went to Monoligual's website and in their FAQ's they address this issue. (http://monolingual.sourceforge.net/faq.php) You simply need to add the Acrobat folder (/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional) to the Monolingual preferences list and then uncheck both boxes. Also, with Acrobat Professional 8.1.4 you need to add the folder /Library/Printers/PPDs to the list and uncheck both boxes, because Monoligual will delete four Asian Language folders from this folder and Acrobat will give you an error if they are not there.
So, if you use Monolingual, or some other program that removes languages and architectures, this might be your solution.
