Could not retain the repository connections in portal admin console.

Hi
i have created additional WLP repository (stream based) in oracle.
and configured as datasource in server console. and added respective JNDI name in portal admin console.
and i could add/delete the content. But when ever i am restarting the machine i am loosing the added connection from portal admin console only.the connection configuration server console is safe.
each time i have to configure it with same JNDI name add work with it in portal admin console only when ever i restart the machine.
The content and datasources configuration is safe .
but When ever i am creating additional WLP repository i could not see the respective details have updated in content-mgmt.xml in EAR meta-inf.
is that because of that. if so why it is getting updated when it is adding new connection in admin console.

When you create a Repository connection at run-time using the Portal Admin, the configuration is written to a Deployment Plan. By default, the Deployment Plan is written to a location which can be deleted during an application redeployment. You can specify a location for the deployment plan, which will not get deleted, via the WebLogic Server Console or you can add the information to the content-config.xml in <earProject>/meta-inf.

I solved it..my oracle service was down...

  • Could not purchase,  The network connection was reset.

I am trying to find out basically why the iTunes servers are not functional.   My network connection is working as I can stream Netflix,  play MMOs and be on Ventrilo without any faults for hours.   I just got a complete collection(AC/DC actually.) And I get this error every three to four songs.  I have tried on both my MBP and my Windows 8 machine to download and I constantly get this error. (Win8 box is Hardwired on gigabit ethernet,  CM never loses sync or channel bonding on US or DS.  MBP is on wifi.)  Problem is now itunes also thinks I have things downloaded which I do not because of the connection reset error.   Strangely enough sometimes if I cancel a download it clears up for a moment and downloads a bunch of them.  So it seems to be an icloud issue.
This never happened pre cloud when iTunes just plain downloaded things,  So actually is there a way to make iTunes download the old fashioned way?

I have also been trying to download the album from my phone. I will click buy, it will say downloading for a minute, and then the buy button will just reappear. I try to click it again and I get a notice that my account is temporarily unavailable... what is going on??

  • Could not purchase "the network connection timed out", could not purchase "the network connection timed out"

No, there isn't an 800 number. Close down your iTunes program and restart it. You can also check for purchased music:

    Hi All,

reposcan.exe -dbdriver oracledatabasesubsystem -connect "UID=ceprod;PWD=ceprod;DSN=dsnname;HOSTNAME=ip of db server;PORT=1521" -dbkey [[XXXXXXX]] -inputfrsdir "\\share\FileStore\FileStore\Input" -outputfrsdir "\\Share\FileStore\FileStore\Output"
I cannot be able to run the RDT as I get the following error:Business Objects Enterprise CMS:Unable to connect to the CMS system database DSN:dbserver ip:1521.Reason ORA 12154.TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I have created DSN for oracle db using 32 bit and 64 bit ODBC drivers. I can connect from this system to the database using the client tools.
Also this is a clustered cms and do I need to use any other parameters here?

    Hi,
Check if you have two different oracle directories listed in system variable path.
    e.g.:
    D:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin;C:\Program Files\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin
If this is the case, you have two different tnsnames.ora files.
Then sometimes the first one is used and sometimes the second.
If they don't contain the same info, you get these issues.
Delete one of the paths in the system variable or synchronize the tnsname.ora files to get rid of that.

  • Error executing search on Plumtree Corporate Portal : Could not contact the Search Server.

    Hi
I have intsalled the plumtree portal.... The links are working. But when i search any word then it gives following error messages
"Error executing search on Plumtree Corporate Portal : Could not contact the Search Server."
Please let me know what could be the solution to above problem
    Thanks

Santosh,It appears that your portal server can not connect to the Search Server.1) Check to ensure that the "Plumtree Portal Search Server" NT Service is running. It will be an NT service. If you check the PlumtreePortal_v5-0.properties file you should see two entries for where you installed the Search service.SEARCH_SERVER_HOST=servernameSEARCH_SERVER_PORT=15244
    2) If the service is not started, then start it...
    3) You can test connectivity to the Search Server by telnetting to server in question at port 15244 (or whatever port you installed the search service on). If you get a response from Ignite, then the search server is up..

  • Could not load the automated export settings (Azure Portal)

We have several database setup with "Automated export". The export seems to be running ok, but I am unable to load the settings in the portal.
I get the "Could not load the automated export settings."
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

    Hello Ballistic2,
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
As you know in the automated export first it create a temporary database(transaction consistent replica) in that server and then it is pushed to storage (which you have configured in the automated export). As per the error  it seems that there are some
connectivity issue with the storage. If I am not wrong the error that you shared is from operation log of azure portal for sql database. I am not so much sure about the actual issue but yes we can try to nail down the issue. You can do a quick test of connectivity
through SSMS from your local machine.
open SSMS -->connect to local database -->select any database --> (right click) and go to Task and then export data tier application--> select save to windows azure and select the same container that you selected in the automated export
and check if export works or you are getting same error.
If it works then from same SSMS connect to sql azure Database and try the same steps with your database that is failing from the portal.
Please let me know the result.
    Regards,
    Mukesh

  • The Network Adapter could not establish the connection - while connecting

    Hi All,
I have installed OEM 11g Grid Control on Linux 5.3 on Host1.
I have also installed Oracle Management Agent on Host2.
I can see that Agent on Host2 is sending stats to Host1 which I can view using Grid Control. However when I try to access Availability/Schema details for the Database instance on Host2, I get the error message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection".
I have setup the tns entry in Host database server tnsnames.ora file, I can connect to the database on Host2 from sql*plus in Host1. But from Grid control it is now working.
Do you know if I need to setup any other configuration?
Please Note: I can see all information of repository database instance from Grid control. The OMS and Repository databsse runs on the same box.

Verify that the Agent's URL, as seen in the Grid Console -> Setup -> Agent name page is the same as the value configured for the EMD_URL in the <AGENT_HOME>/sysman/config/emd.properties file.
Check http://www.myoraclesupports.com/content/how-troubleshoot-communication-between-oracle-management-service-oms-and-grid-agent-componen for other options (though written for 10g most is also valid for GC 11g)

  • When I try to use FaceTime on my Macbook Air, I try to verify the email I want people to call me with, and it says verified, but soon an message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."

So our school lets us use Macbook Airs for the school year, and it has facetime on it. I know facetime isn't blocked because like everyone else is using it. So I decide to give it a try. I click the icon, it says enter your apple ID. I dont have one, so I click to make one, and do so. I then enter my apple ID and click next. The screen reads "People will call you using your email address. What email address would you like to use?" I enter my email address in the box below the message, and then go to my email and click the link, and sign in, thus verifying the email. I go back to the facetime window, and click next. At the top it says Verified, but when I click next it doesn't go on to the next step, it simply blacks out the next button so that I can not click it, and after a few minutes a message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
So that is the issue, please help!!!!!
*Note-I repeat that I know it is not blocked by the school because everyone else uses it just fine.*

    Hello BassoonPlayer,
Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using.  FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in.  This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly.  By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you.  Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

When using a dblink, the database with the link is acting as a client to the remote database ... exactly like sqlplus running on the db server.

  • ITunes could not contact the iPhone software update server because you are not connected to the internet...???

    Ok I’m completely lost here....
I’m running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (Build 2600), I updated iTunes to 11.0.2.25 and some other updates for windows last night on my laptop. I try connecting to download the iOS 6.1.2 update for my iPhone 4 and my iPhone 5 via iTunes. I am getting this message for both "iTunes could not contact the iPhone software update server because you are not connected to the internet. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again." Everything was fine with connecting prior to running these updates because I downloaded the 6.1 update with no problems when it came out.
What I have done so far with which has made no difference:
    Checked my internet connection
    Changed my internet connection
Signed out of iTunes and then signed back in
Ran diagnostics via iTunes, comes back with: Network interfaces verified- Internet connection failed- Secure link to iTunes store verified
Connection attempt to Apple web site was successful.
Connection attempt to browsing iTunes Store was successful.
Connection attempt to purchasing from iTunes Store was successful.
Connection attempt to iPhone activation server was successful.
Connection attempt to firmware update server was successful.
Connection attempt to Gracenote server was successful.
Last successful iTunes Store access was 2013-02-20 20:40:48.
Disabled firewall, spy sweeper, virus scanner
    start>run>cmd> typed "netsh winsock reset"
    Rebooted
Checked the parental controls in iTunes
    Start>control panel>internet options>connections tab> lan settings> selected the "automatically detect settings"
    Deleted iTunes and reinstalled iTunes
When I would "ping gs.apple.com" it would come back with "request timed out" no matter what internet connection I was on, so I went into the hosts file  start>my computer>(C:)>WINDOWS>system32>drivers>ect>HOSTS and added  "#     127.0.0.1     gs.apple.com". Now it will ping gs.apple.com just fine but still comes up with the "iTunes could not contact the iPhone software update server because you are not connected to the internet" message in iTunes when i try to download the update.
If anyone can come up with any ideas that I haven’t tried, please let me know. This is keeping me back from updating both of my phones along with if anything should ever happen to them; restores as well.

im computer is connected i can go to the apple store through itunes but when i plug my phone in i keep getting that alert... i plugged my phone in to update it after the apple loaded the itunes icon and a usb showed up.

  • FF not connecting to web- This "Network Connections" message pops up: Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. Any ideas?

About a month ago I could no longer connect to the internet on our PC. Every time I clicked on the Firefox icon the Netscape sign-on window would pop up. I would try to close it but it would pop up over and over again. If I tried to close it a dozen or so times eventually Firefox would open up but it would never connect. Just today I moved my Netscape file to the recycle bin. No longer does the Netscape sign-on window pop up but following Network Connection error message pops up: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection".. This error window behaves the same way the Netscape sign-on window used to behave. Every time I click to close it it pops open again. After numerous clicks Firefox opens up but it never connects.

Do you have this error message on a Mac computer or on a Windows computer?
I've only seen this error mentioned on a Windows computer.

  • "itunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet" Help?

Hello all, new to the forums.
I've been recieving the error message "itunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet". This problem didn't occur at all for the past 2 years of using itunes.
I've already scanned through numerous websites and forums for help, but none of them worked.
This  set of instructions resulted in no change to any of the problems, though iTunes lists that as the supposed solution.
    # Open Internet Options from control panel.
    # Click the Connections tab.
    # Click the LAN Settings button.
    # Select the Automatically detect settings checkbox.
Others include installing IE7, which that didn't work either.
    Can anyone help?
