Could'nt configure for http proxy server in weblogic5.1

Hai
we have installed weblogic5.1 in two machines one in NT and the other in windows98.
We want to use one as the webserver and the other as the proxy webserver. When
ever if a particular file is not found in the webserver it should automatically
redirect to the proxy server. we have configured the following set of lines in
the weblogic.properties.
weblogic.httpd.defaultServlet=proxy
weblogic.httpd.register.proxy=weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpProxyServlet
weblogic.httpd.initArgs.proxy=redirectURL=http://192.168.254.183
but still we could'nt get the redirection. If we look for a particular jsp file
which is not in the webserver and located in the proxy webserver it searches only
in the webserver and giving the "404 not found error". What further configuration
we have to do to achieve this. Both systems are in the network.
Anybody's help is more appreciated

i did'nt commented the following line in the weblogic.properties. After commenting
the line it worked
weblogic.httpd.defaultServlet=file

However, I am getting the below exception while running the LC application as my Proxy server requires User credentials to connect to the internet:
weblogic.net.http.HttpUnauthorizedException: Proxy or Server Authentication Required.
I tried providing the below JVM startup argument too, but no luck:
-Dhttp.proxyUser= [proxy user]
-DhttpPassword= [Proxy password]
Can you please suggest how to configure User credentials for the Proxy server in Livecycle.

Thank you for your response.
I have followed the above document suggested by yourself and the relevant steps while setting up the Server and the Workbench, and verified the settings too.
The installation guide does highlight the steps to configure a Proxy server. However, the guide does not mention anything about how to handle Proxy server authentication.
Please note that there are Proxy authenication options available in Workbench to configure how the Workbench connects to the LiveCycle server, whereas the problem I am facing here is how to connect the LiveCycle server with internet services through a Proxy server.
I hope that clears the problem statement.

current scenario#1:
Machine#1 client (using URLConnection("https://...") ----> Machine#2 (Server https port)
what I want scenario#2
Machine#3 client (using URLConnection("https://...") ---> Machine#1 (Proxy for https)----> Machine#2 (Server https port)
In scenario#1
- I have a Client machine at Location#1 which can connect to on Location#2
- I only have SSH connection to machine at Location#1
now this scenario#2 is what I would like to run so that
- I am able to connect to mc#2 at loc#2 from a machine at loc#3 with mc#3
- effectively starting a https proxy at location number mc#1 at loc#1.
Hope that clears the problem domain.

My scenario is file->XI->R/3(abap server proxy).
Xi and R/3 are 2 seperate business systems
-Abap server proxy created on R/3 business system. R/3 client 550
-Xi client 400.
-SLD is common for both XI and R/3
My question is in reference to the below message thread:

Firefox keeps requesting logon credentials for the proxy server, though they are eneterd in the connection settings.

Every time you go to a new page, Firefox prompts for the proxy server login credentials, this has already been entered in the Network settings in Firefox.

Android troubleshooting for GSM device(I do not know if your nexus is, most likely it is not): Access Point Name (APN). Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > [Your data APN] (your device's menu may differ slightly). Check the Proxy field.

Best choice for a proxy server on NT?

Hi, I'm wondering what the best choice for a proxy server is on NT?
 Currently I'm running a 2 WL server cluster, but this will grow rapidly. If
 all of the pages that I will be handling will be .jsp (with the exception of
 1 or 2 servlets), which is the best configuration (performance wise) to go
 with?
 Should I use a Weblogic Servlet, NSAPI, or ISAPI to do the proxiing. My
 guess was that IIS would perform the best on an NT machine and that it would
 not be as large as a memory hog as Weblogic would be to simply run as a
 proxy. Is there a significant amount of latency produced by the ISAPI
 bridge?
 Any suggestions?

Financial Reporting - PDF has not been configured for this web server.

When I try a Print Preview of my report, I received this error "PDF has not been configured for this web server".
As far as I know, this error is confusing because when I look on my log files I found this:

I was running a media sharing website for which I wanted to use Adobe Media Server.
To use, AMS, I disabled the already installed Apache server and installed AMS along with the built in Apache server. I could successfully install AMS and could login to AMS Admin Console through my IP number.
My existing website, www.mydomain.com is having its contents located at:
/home/mydomain/public_html
(Directory created under the old version of Apache not bundled with AMS)
Users will be uploading their videos, which will get transcoded and will be delivered to the website visitors in the existing scenario.
To use this website with AMS, this is what I did:
I created a folder for my domain, www.mydomain.com as below
/opt/adobe/ams/conf/_defaultRoot_/www.mydomain.com
Copied Application.xml and Vhost.xml from /opt/adobe/ams/conf/_defaultRoot_/ and pasted them in /opt/adobe/ams/conf/_defaultRoot_/www.mydomain.com
In the Application.xml file there are 2 entries:

<AppsDir>${/home/mydomain/public_html}</AppsDir>
Please help me with further steps to be completed:
Do I need to create a separate VirtualHost entry in the Apache installed with AMS?
If yes, can I specify already existing document root for my website (/home/mydomain/public_html) or do I need to create a separate folder under webroot/Apache ?
If yes to point 2 above, then do I need to copy all the existing contents from /home/mydomain/public_html to the newly created folder ?
I hope, I can serve all my static contents like html pages and php and media like video/audio. In that case do I need create alias to my Media/Alias folder or AMS will automatically start streaming when a video/audio is requested ?
What other steps do i need to complete?
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

PDF has not been configured for this web server linux 11.1.2

Hi,
We installed 11.1.2 Hyperion WorkforcePlanning on Linux 32 bit OS.
When the user opens the workspace and tries to see the "Profit and Loss" and selects
"File --> Open In --> PDF format" , it just flicks for a sec and gives following message :
" PDF has not been configured for this web server"
Can somebody suggest me what to do ?

Check your print server service on your foundation server, sometimes I have had that just stop for whatever reason.

HTTP Receiver adpater configuration for Web Application server

Hello All,
I am trying to configure a HTTP scenario. I want to configue the receiver HTTP channel to connect to the WebApplication server installed locally.
I am able connect to the WebApplication server from by browser by giving the URL http://inld50037931a.dhcp.blrl.sap.corp:8080/hello/.
In my receiver HTTP channel i have configure as below
Target Host : inld50037931a.dhcp.blrl.sap.corp
Service Number : 8080
Path : /hello.
But it is failing in run time with error in SXMB_MONI : HTTP-Server Code 500 Reason Internal Server Error Explanation Unknown Host.
And i checked the Trace and it is looking for taget URL :
http://inld50037931a:8080/hello
instead of
http://inld50037931a.dhcp.blrl.sap.corp:8080/hello
Kindly help me in correcting the receiver channel configuraion.

HTTP proxy server connection error

My iPhone4S can't connect well to 3G, only works properly with WIFI connection. When i try to navegate with safari or other apps, HTTP proxy error is shown. I only receive notifications, but when i try to open the specify app: server error. Its weird, because for instance, whatsapp and mail clients like sparrow works properly with 3G. I can update my mail and send whatsapp, but i cant receive or send any attachments.
I've tried to reset my iphone, and reset my network configuration, but the problem is still there.

I had this problem. It started when I took my unlocked iPhone from Australia on a Telstra SIM to the U.S. and put in a Straight Talk SIM. I used unlockit.co.nz to generate a new APN for my phone while on Straight Talk, which worked fine.
However, upon coming back to Australia and reinserting my Telstra SIM, I couldn't access HTTP. My VPN would start over 3G and I could get push notifications and data in some apps, but anything that used HTTP, including Safari, would give me the proxy error or a network timeout error. Wifi worked perfectly.
I called Telstra and they said it wasn't them. I was sitting on hold with Apple Care when I thought to try inserting my colleague's Telstra SIM into my phone and, voila, it worked perfectly. I hung up and called Telstra back to complain but while on hold I put my own old Telstra SIM back in only to find that I had fixed my problem.
So try inserting a known, working SIM from the same carrier and see if that fixes your problem. Stopping into one of their stores may be the answer if you don't have any other SIMs handy.
I suspect that somewhere in the iPhone an HTTP proxy for 3G setting was set and stuck, and trying a new SIM erased that setting.

Here is a java HTTP server you can use instead of IIS (comes from the burrowing through firewalls article). This class allways sends the same response to any request on port 80 but it should be a good tool to test your proxy server (as to what requests the proxy sends and if the proxy pickes up the response).

Configuring Solaris Gateway Proxy Server !!!

I have a scenario here. We have one server (Sunfire V245) running solaris 10. Its configured as a DNS server. Now I need to disable that DNS and configure it as a Gateway Proxy server for my LAN. We have two different IP series in the LAN running. This sunfire v245 must run as a internet gateway for both the IP series and the proxy should be able to restrict site browsing or ip blocking if needed. Can anyone help me out with this.
Please help me as I am very new to solaris system.

Configuring Sender HTTPS Connection -- Server/Client Authentification

Hello together,
I need to configure an HTTPS Sender Connection with client and server authentication. I have already check the documentation however I am still not sure about the particular steps. My questions are as follows:
- Do I configure the HTTPS connection on the ABAP or JAVA stack?
- Is it necessary to setup an HTTP sender communication channel
- How does the URL look like (compared to HTTP connection)?
I have provided XI certificates to the client and the client has provided the certificates to me already. So I guess I have to import them somehow on XI.

The public certificate of the trusted authority (CA) that signed the public certificate of the SSL server needs to be imported to the list of trusted certificates of the SSL client. This allows the SSL client to accept the certificate of the server in the SSL handshake.
Server-Side Configuration (Optional)
If basic authentication is used, no additional configuration is required on server side.
If client certificate authentication is requested or required by selection of the corresponding option in the SSL service and configuration of the ClientCertLoginModule in the SecurityProvider service (using the J2EE Administration Tool), additional configuration steps are required.
If the server certificate check on the client side is successful, the client sends its public certificate to the server as part of the SSL handshake (when requested). The server needs to map the certificate to a user for authentication and will then check the authorization based on the security roles of the user.
Perform the following steps to allow the J2EE engine to map the client certificate to a user:
1. Import the CA cert of the client certificate to the list of trusted certificates (TrustedCAs keystore view in the keystore service) and import the client cert to an arbitrary keystore view.
2. Map the client certificate to an existing user with role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER by using the Visual Administrator, SecurityProvider service, UserManagement tab page.

Configure through HTTP Proxy

Hello People,
I programmed a mail client and i deployed it to a jar file
I Then wrapped the jar inside a exe file so that i can run as a native code..
The program is working fine through direct internet connection.
I want to use that application through a proxy server.
Can any one help me out to configure java to use my application through a proxy server.....
