Count of forms extended vs licenses

Question

Hello,
If I reader extend a form using the web interface and later i need to modify the form, meaning i will make changes to the form and would like to deploy the new form instead of the old one. ( the old form will be discarded )
In Reader Extension server v 8, each time a form is extended, the counter showing the number of processed forms is incremented. In v 7, there was a way to specify that this form is a new revision of an old form so the counter does not get incremented, but i do not see this option in v 8.
So my questions:
Does the process count displayed enforce checks on the actual license count purchased ? If so, Is there a way in v 8 to extend a new revision of a form without incrementing the processed count ?

I'm not a Unix guru either but on my batch scripts I include at the end of my loop the following:
find *.err -type f -exec grep -q "Created form file" {} \; -exec rm {} \;
the only .err left are the relevant errors.
