It is normally the size of a full screen. While in use it suddenly shrank to 1/4 the size. Everything is there but it is so small you can read the writing

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:

In Firefox, can't attach files to Yahoo Mail outgoing messages. Yahoo Mail works fine in Internet Explorer though.

Since yesterday, when I switched from Comcast to AT&T as my broadband internet connection, I have not been able to attach files to my Yahoo mail messages using Mozilla Firefox. I don't have this problem when using Internet Explorer, but my default browser is Firefox by choice. Is this a Yahoo issue or a Firefox issue? Can you help me resolve it?

Not helpful. 'clearing Firefox's cache' is not helpful, since 'cache' doesn't show up in any of the Firefox pulldown menu choices (wasted time looking for that), and the plethora of things 'recent' and 'history' to choose to act on in these menus is also a possible waste of time, not to mention removing useful info for no reason.
I, too, have had this problem 'intermittently' for many months, always involving the 'first' file to attach in a Yahoo! email, and I've always used this workaround OK: click on the filename showing as 'being attached' (while Yahoo's doohickey round spinner denoting 'in progress' whirls and whirls to no effect) and use "Remove File"; THEN, REPEAT 'attach file' task & it then works, if slowly. After that for the same email, attaching add'l files NEVER HAS A PROBLEM.
SO, now today, without any software update yet (I've downloaded Firefox v.11 & will install shortly), at numerous attempts during the day, I CANNOT get the FIRST file to attach in a Yahoo! email. Simply, utterly, frustrating without any rhyme or reason. "Everything else, on plethora of sites, working fine."

Tiscali mail works fine with Internet explorer saying "you have 3 new mails in your inbox", with Firefox 5.0 it says "you have undefined new mails in your inbox". I cannot proceed beyond this point. Please advise david.tose@tiscali.co.uk

Yep, exactly the same problem only on W2K SP4. Firefox5 doesn't work but IE (on the same machine) does.
Sorry, I'm not sure what version version of IE is being used.
(It's the PC at work that has the problem and I'm writing this at home on my linux box which has Firefox version 3.6.18 for linux mint - which also works fine.)
I really hope this can be fixed soon.

Is anyone using PAM for archiving e-mail? I am having trouble opening archived e-mail attachments using Firefox. I know the reason for this is part of the url gets left out when using Firefox. Works fine with Internet Explorer.

Autodiscover service on Exchange seems to be ok from the result of testing. We might change our mind and check if this is a network issue.
If you are using Windows 7 or higher version OS, try to run the following command in CMD to disable the Autotuning function:

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Firefox has a setting for what to do with PDFs. The options include displaying it in a Firefox tab using a built-in viewer or the Adobe PDF viewer, or opening it using an external application such as Adobe Reader, or just saving the file. Move your cursor way over to the right side of the window. There should be a thin bar. when you hover over the left side of the thin bar, the cursor will change to a vertical bar with an arrow sticking out the left. Click and drag to the left.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Reply to mailing lists suddenly going to sender, not list

Mail has been working fine for me for a long time, until the last few weeks.
Now, when I hit "Reply" to a list posted to a mailing list, Mail grabs the name of the poster and puts it in the To: line, instead of the mailing list address. Since this is happening with some lists and not others, I think it must be a change to the listserver, not something going on with Mail, especially since others (using other OSs and clients) are reporting the same phenom.
But I want to be sure I have my ducks in a row before I complain to the list administrator. Is there any way to force Mail to use the listserver's address in this situation?

Mail, like any other mail client, replies to the address that appears in the Reply-To header of the original message if present, or to the address that appears in the From header otherwise. You can see all the headers of the original message by doing View > Message > Long Headers.

Upgrading to Lion, used cloud, now my apple mail no longer syncs on my computer. Can't get any apple mail to come in. Mail window not working properly. Connection to Internet fine. Anyone know how to fix this issue? All worked fine until I opted for Cloud

I am using a MacBook Pro. Bought in April 2011. Upgraded to Lion, OSX 10.7.3
I have an Apple mail account that synced with a gmail account in my Mail Program.
I then chose the CLOUD activation. I can find my mail if I go to cloud.com but I no longer get any Apple mail delivered to my Mail program on my computer. My gmail account syncs just fine. In fact, the Mail program doesn't even open any longer when I double click. I have to go to the Mail menu, select Message Viewer to even view my mail program now. The Internet connection is testing fine using the Connection Doctor. But when the Connection Doctor program just whirs for eternity and never finishes checking the accounts.
Is this a bug? Do you have to set up your mailbox again for Apple mail to get it to sync after having mail hosted on the Cloud? Or does hosting on the Cloud mean I now always have to go the hassle of logging in at the cloud site to even access my Apple mail?
Any ideas out there? I am sure there are Mac geniuses, the real ones, floating around in cyber space and would love to get some intelligent directions to solve this new issue.

I would like to add that Comcast is my internet provider. Perhaps that is part of the issue although the Connection Doctor confirms the mail box is connecting to the internet. No other function processes when Connection Doctor program is used to find the source of the issue. I have read forum posts but am unable to find a way to get my Apple mail to be delivered to my computer. It worked fine up until I chose to transfer mail to the Cloud. My mail account is a .mac account.
Still hoping someone out there can help me.

Since installing 10.7.3 Mail and Address Book no longer load and report errors. Anyone else experiencing this? Safari works fine.

Everything worked fine prior to the installation. I am aware of bug issues that people are reporting with regard to no applications working and strange error messages. My MacBook Air is fine; my wife's MacBook is fine. It's my iMac 12,1 that isn't.

It is an enormous crash report error rather than a short message. Both Address Book and Mail crash. I restored my iMac to pre-10.7.3 and everything worked fine once more. I downloaded and installed 10.7.3 as a combo a short while ago and the crash report for Address Book and Mail once more returned.

TS3899 Mail app loading portion of inbox content, well below amount set in Settings. It used to work fine.

My iPad2 recently started loading only a small portion of the inbox content, well the 200 configured in the Settings menu. It has worked fine for a couple years until now. I have restarted the device, restarted the app. The gmail app is getting all mail content and has worked in conjuction with the mail app for several weeks.
Any help is appreciated!

I found the issue...a setting for the number of days to sync had gotten changed, limiting the amount of email that could load.

Data type change made to schema.xml of comments list which is part of blog site template is not reflecting in the existing site but working fine when new site is created.

I have created a blog site with the available site template few days back. Now we have the requirement of having the attachments in the body of the comments section.
So, I updated the schema.xml of the comments list available under ../templates/blog/lists/comments/schema.xml to have rich text for the Body field.
With this change, I created a new site and it was working fine. Change is reflected in the new blog site.
However, this particular change is not reflected in the existing blog site. Any changes made to the schema.xml is not effecting the old blog site.
Can anyone suggest what can be done for the change to be reflected in the old blog site?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add attachments in the body of the comments section.
You can add the the Code inside the Default list pages. For more information, you can refer to:
Enable Attachment in SharePoint Blog post list and display the list Attachments
In addition, you can add an enhanced rich text field to the comment list and remove the body field. Then you can insert files into comments, too.

I used to send a link from safari using mail. Suddenly i cannot do this anymore.I have checked all the details but nothing will work

I have always managed to send link from safari using mail Suddenly I no longer can do this and mail just sits with the message in outbox. I changed nothing and all the settings look the same. Very frustrating please can anyone help. I use an aol account with outgoing imap and incoming smtp port 587 with no check in ssl box. AOL will not help, and apple are not interested either. The contents of some yahoo mail e-mails does not display (except using No Style page View, or when doing a Reply), but IE works fine.

For some (but only some) incoming Yahoo e-mails, Firefox does not show the text of the e-mail. I can see the text with the No Style page view. It also appears when I do a Reply. And, FYI, IE (both 8.0.7600.16385 and 8.0.6001.18702) have no problem with the same e-mails.
