according to the product availability matrix the collaboration suite 4.5 should be released at the end of june. Has someone already seen it in the swdc or knows the date it will be released?

Digital Signatures for cProjects Approval
Hi Folks,
I am on cProjects 4.5 and from what I understand there are 2 options for this based on whether or not I check the "Signature of Approval with User Certificate" box in Project Type config.
Unchecked - user is prompted for cProjects password and this works fine. Only issue for us is, we are on the portal and most likely cProjects password will be different and unknown to user. As per note 928527 this is standard behavior and tough luck for anybody on the portal.
Checked - use is given the ability to digitally sign the PDF approval document. When I select "sign" on the PDF I am given the ability to create a new ID or use an existing ID from a file, server etc. I created a new ID and signed the document. Once I do this and click the transfer button the system appears to hang. The progress indicator appears and keeps going.
Therefore my questions are:
1. Is there any additional config I need to do in cProjects. ADS or anywhere else?
2. How exactly does adobe digital signatures work? If anybody simply create a signature how does that provide any verification of authenticity?

In fact, what is described in the ADS documentation referenced above is that you have to install
the certificate also on the ADS.

cProjects being a part of the PLM package, you would need to undergo SAP PLM certification. As per my knowledge, there is no separate cProjects suite certification available.
However, there are training programs conducted by SAP for cProjects and xRPM. You may get the details regarding these from the marketplace. Please refer https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/partnerportal/apj/home

We want to have programmatically control of availability cProjects project fields in case, when execute following event: cProjects project assign/unassign to xRPM item.
For example:
We have the following event: assign cProjects project to xRPM item.
At this moment we transfer value from field «location» xRPM item to field «location» cProjects project (abap development). Also, we want to change «read only» attribute of field «location» cProjects project.

Please see your other post, as I see, the UI configuration supported by webdynpro can not be used, because it depends on the condition. It worth to try, if it can be realized via cProject field cotnrol, actually it is not very easy but powerful.

CProjects - "Available Capacity" for resources
Dear Experts,
We are on cProjects 4.0, Support Pack 11.
We have a requirement by which we use a four-day-per-week calendar. Also, this calendar is required to have some holidays which are specific to our business. And this works good in our calendar.
However, we notice that the "Available Capacity" for resources (Under Resources > Staffing) does not caluclate the available hours based on this calendar. So to say, the available capacity for resources is calculated on the basis of some different calendar. We can make changes to the availability of a resource per day (from 8 to, say, 10 hours per day). But what we have not been able to do is to have the availablity calculated on the basis of the working days available in the project calendar.
How can we do this?
Summary
How can we get the application to calculate "Available Capacity" for resources on the basis of a calendar of our liking and not the system's?

I could make the settings as per your suggestion and see that the 'Available' capacity for resources is now governed by the 'factory calendar' and 'hours' per day that I specify.
However, we have a requirement by which this 'Available Capapcity' may not be governed by the the same calendar for every resource. For e.g., resource R1 may have 'Available capacity' based on calendar C1 and Resource R2 may have an 'Available Capcity' based on calendar C2. How do I make allowance for this?
What I mean is, the settings that I have done works good but the same rule applies to all the resources. Is there a way I can make one setting applicable to one resource and another setting applicable to another resource??

How does the Resource Availability feature work in cProjects 4.0? Can the resource maintain his calendar in cProjects?

Some information to enhance Thorsten's answer about availability, it is not very straightforward.
First of all, does WFD server (other name WFM core) is used? If Yes, then the availability is controlled by the WFD server (External).
If No, then the program using the cProject internal logic frequences to determine the availability:
1. The BP has the availability maintained. for example BP 'Mr. Hugo Boss' works 8 hours each day.
2. The BP has a location, and the availability has maintaned for the location.
for example: 'Mr. Hugo Boss' has location 'Germany' and location 'Germany' works 7,5 hours.
3. The BP has not the locaion . But the role has maintained a location.
For example: Role 'Software development' should be done in location 'U.S' and location has 9 Hours each day.
4. If none of above is maintained, then the program check the customizing of distribution. The standard SAP dilivery has 8 hours each day.
The note 958573 is the prerequisite, and explain the same logic.

CProjects: BP Availability
Hi Experts.
I have a question regarding the availability of business partners in cProjects:
We have Business Partners which are connected to corresponding user and HR employee. When somebody makes an request for e.g. vacation, we book this offtime in cats to an network with the corresponding A/AType.
Now i want to have the real availability of this employee in cP. I know that there is the possibility to make availability entrys in ta rpm_empdata. But i want to have real availability (e.g. when the employee is off for vacation in june, i want to see that in cP (=0 availability in june for this employee)).
How to solve this problem?
We are using cP Suite 4.5 / PSP Controlling / CATS Integration

the absences from HR are not taken into consideration when you do HR ALE distribution of employee data.
You could do this e.g. via BAdi. Would require some programming. See also xRPM cProjects how import HR absences

What do i need to do to be able to see real availability of my resources?
Do i need to set up the link to HR, do i need WFD?
Can i see the availability decrease if users have booked holiday time or training in their CATS?

As per cProjects 3.1 and 4.0, it is possible to use WFD with cProjects. In project roles, it can be specified if a role is relevant for WFD or not.
Note 900310 discusses the following:
Enhanced resource management using the RPA (Resource Planner Application) and the Workforce Deployment (WFD) servers: As up to now, WFD can be used as an enhanced scenario for resource planning in cProjects to staff project roles externally or to show resource availability. However, you must install the liveCache in an separate instance in order to use these functions. See the notes in the Master Guide. In this case (when you use cProjects outside the SAP Enterprise Portal), the 'Resource planning' tab title is available at the highest navigation level in cProjects. When you use the SAP Enterprise Portal, you can use the 'Resource Planner' CRM portal role. For further information, see Note 939501. If you intend to use cProjects 4.0 with the RPA and WFD servers, all three must be installed on the same system.
Please let me know if WFD is forbidden for higher versions of cProjects, and if yes - what are the alternatives available.

Service Desk with IC WebClient: Category Modeler not available

We are currently implementing a Service Desk Application based on SAP Solution Manager. Therefore we are using the article "Implement an ITIL Employee Service Desk with IC WebClient" of "www.CRMExpertOnline".
One of the steps, which are described in the article describes how to Categorize incidents with the Category Modeler. It says that the Category Modeler is available trough BSP Application CRMM_ERM_CAT.
Unfortunately this SAP-Application is not available on our system.

The question is that CRMM_ERM_CAT is an application, also a transaction but this is not the name of the associated BSP I think, this belongs to component CRM-PCF more than Solution Manager.

Resource planning in cprojects with xRPM or MRS?
Dear Experts,
To my understanding there are four options to perform resource planning in combination with cprojects:
1. Do a planning in cprojects only
2. Use resource planning application (RPA) from SAP CRM
3. Schedule resources with xRPM
4. Schedule resources with SAP MRS (Multi Resource Scheduling)
I have a couple of questions:
(a) Is it correct that I cannot assign resources to project roles in xRPM based on qualification matching? Is it right that xRPM is used rather for a long-term view to define the available capacity of projects/roles than assigning specific resources to roles?
(b) How can help SAP MRS in comparison to option 1 (planning in cprojects)? I assume that I can do also in cprojects itself a qualification matching. MRS provides a more detailed qualification object to cover complex requirements, right? What else provides MRS what cannot be managed in cprojects itself?
(c ) If we want to use a staffing process were project lead and resource manager doing the staffing and have the option to suggest or reject roles, we have the option to use xRPM or MRS, right? What are the differences? In MRS we have options like using several resource managers, softbooking/hardbooking or itu2019s possible to define the workflow who proposes resources and who is doing the final staffing (project lead or staffing manager), reasons for rejections can be configured etc. Are these options in xRPM available as well?

I have not implemented MRS or RPA so can only answer your first question. You cannot do a resource search via qualification in Portfolio Management (aka xRPM), typically you would do this in Project Management (aka cProjects) and this functionality works fine provided you have maintained qualification data for BP's and roles. Portfolio Management financial planning function can be used for a long term view as you have mentioned. However, it is also typically used to summarize and/or roll up resource demand / assignment to a bucket or portfolio level or summarize resources for multiple projects via initiatives or collections. You can also use a top down approach and at a high level plan values at the bucket level (i.e. forecasted demand or business case demand) and compare against detailed planned / assigned demand rolled up from project management.

So the end-user can create support message in many system like CRM, R/3, and BW. The end-user working in c-Project too but, in this system there isn't the same option (through help- create support message).
I wouldnu2019t like available a link to SolMan - Service desk because, in this way the system not fill the component system automatically for example.
Is it possible to available u2018help-create support messageu2019 like the other system?

In cProjects, in set-up field control it is possible to adjust behavior (display, updatable, mandatory, u2026) field by field.
My questions are:
- Where to find the complete list of conditions available?
- Is any condition is usable everywhere, for example C001 Object is released on a DAG Document (means the object link to this document is released)?
- Is there a condition with a meaning like u201CThe object is in creationu201D (to have for example a phase description not updatable after creation)?
- How to create its own conditions?

I am trying to setup field control to make a bespoke field in a bespoke tab toggle between READ only and Editable.
I have gone through number of posts and the SAP note you mentioned. I have setup the entire configuration required and it is still not working.
What confuses me is that, to setup a field control dynamically, is it all done via configuration?. Is some coding still required in the VIEW methods?. I am setting up a debug breakpoint in the class method that is created for the condition I created, but the program is not stopping there so I think the condition method is not being called.
Please can you give some more details.

CProjects 4.0 - SAP R/3 4.7 - Accounting Integration problem.
Dear all,
I have performed all steps necesaary for accounting integration in cProjects and SAP R/3 FI System.
I can even see and assign the cost rate that I have created in cProjects to a project role.
System also calculates the cost for the role multiplyin the cost rate with the number of hours the resource has been assigned.
However, it also displays the following warning messages:
1. An error occurred in Accounting (system QASCLNT777)
2. Function module "IAOM_CPRO_MISC_RFC_CPDEF_CHECK" not found.
3. No cost center could be determined for organizational unit 00000000
4. Maintain a revenue element for cost/revenue rate ZZ_000001
5. Error occurred in accounting - check the costing in the ERP system
When I execute the transaction COCPCPR in R/3 system, I cannot see the internal order, but see the project name under "Internal Orders not created"

To be able to use the functions of accounting integration, you have to implement the Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA) application component and Project System (PS) in SAP ECC 6.0.
Prerequisites
You need to make a number of Customizing settings in both the Collaboration Projects and SAP ECC Implementation Guides (IMG):

You selected the Controlling in mySAP ERP setting in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Connection to External Systems ® Accounting Integration ® Activate Integration as the Accounting Integration Scenario.
I feel the error messages are thrown because you are using SAP R/3 4.7. I see from the SAP notes, for CATS integration with cProjects 4.0 and SAP R/3, SAP consulting is available, but nothing is mentioned for accounting integration. -

How can i bring customer field in cProjects 4.0.
My users want four extras field which is not available in cProjects.
We have done following things
1. As per SAP Note : 947936 in PLM server
2 Go to SPRO->SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> Collaboration Projects -> Collaboration Projects -> Define Field Groups for customer fields
3. Object Type: DPO (Project Definition)
4. Field Group ID: (ID) eg ZTAB_DPO
5 Field Group Name: This will appear as the text on the TAB & make sure active check box is checked.
6 Select the entry made above and double click on u201CCustomer Fields for Field Groupu201D.
7 Customer Field will be the additional fields that you have added in the customer include in the table DPR_TS_PROJECT_EXTENDED_ATTR / dpr_projects
8 Select Mode and Field Type & make sure active check box is checked.
9 Double click on the folder u201CField Group as per Project Typeu201D & click on new entries.
10 Select the project Type for which you want the tab to be displayed
Object Type: DPO (Project definition)
Field Group ID (ZTAB_DPO) & make sure active check box is checked.

there is one more step that needs to be done in the customizing:
You have to set up a field control for your customer fields (IMG activity 'Set Up Field Control'). Here you define the conditions when these fields are displayed, hidden etc...
If you have no field control, these fields will be always hidden.
Please do not change the standard field control 0SAP but rather copy it to your own and adapt it according to your needs. Please refer also to the available IMG documentation.
Afterwards, this field control needs to be assigned to your project type (IMG 'Define Project Types').
