Consider this business sceanrio.
there is a project A having project B and project C as its sb projects.
Now if some schedule changes in project B, can it automatically reflect in project A?

Hi,
I have maintained all the settings for Account Assignment in Multilevel controlling.But still i am unable to replicate the cprojects project in PS.In account assignmet tab i am getting the PS Project party empty and no WBS are replicated for corresponding cProjects element.
Can anyone guide me on this?

you should check the button in accounting "controlling cockpit" and check the different variants here. The error messages are quite good.
Did you assign a organizational unit which is assigned in ERP to a controllingobject in transaction PPOME?

Programmed control of availability cProjects project fields.

Hello all.
We want to have programmatically control of availability cProjects project fields in case, when execute following event: cProjects project assign/unassign to xRPM item.
For example:
We have the following event: assign cProjects project to xRPM item.
At this moment we transfer value from field «location» xRPM item to field «location» cProjects project (abap development). Also, we want to change «read only» attribute of field «location» cProjects project.
What functional module used to control availability cProjects project fields? How it possible to do this?

Please see your other post, as I see, the UI configuration supported by webdynpro can not be used, because it depends on the condition. It worth to try, if it can be realized via cProject field cotnrol, actually it is not very easy but powerful.

CProject / Project System / Project Solution Manager

Hi Everyone,
I am very much new to SAP and doing my first semester in Masters of ERP (SAP). I am very much interested in project systems basically Implementation, Reporting, Time Management, Analysis etc I wondering if any one can help me how to and where to start its quite confusing when these forums talk about cProject, Project Solution Manager and Project Systems please give some info like books, links or documents where i can develop my skills especially practical examples. For creating project from PS to cproject use the following method
What you can do is Create a cProjects Project usinga Badi in PS on save.
where you can use FM BAPI_BUS2172_CREATE to create Project.
Also when you make changes to PS project use Badi on save to transfer the changes to cProjects projects.
You can use Function modules like:
BAPI_BUS2172_CHANGE
BAPI_BUS2173_CHANGE
BAPI_BUS2174_CHANGE
BAPI_BUS2175_CHANGE
and so on

In the creation screen (after the item type is entered),then input the 'cProject template ', AND
selection the option, 'Automatically create a cProjects project when this item is created'
(typically in the bottom.)
I need to change the check box to Disabled. can i know the were we need to change?

We have copy from function in our material creation and BOM, Is there any way to copy the old project and we can take the same for new project as a Paste entire structure.

CProjects Project status report not generated

Hi
I am facing problem of getting Project status report for a project in cProjects 4.0
I am at client side and accessing the IDES ECC6.Her I am trying for getting Project status report for the project created.
The error I am getting is :
"WebDynpro Exception: ADS: Request start time: Thu Aug 21 16:53:27 GMT+03:00 2008(200,101). "
In customizing for cProjects I have used the std. form available for the same, activated the same for the project type and when tried to get the report I got the above mentioned error.
Then in se38 I executed the programme FP_TEST_IA_01 the result was :
ADS: Request start time: Thu Aug 21 17:23:42 GMT+03:00 2008(200,101)
Also I have activated the following services
SICF->Services->default_host->sap->bc->fp and fpads, both are active.
But still I am not getting project status report from cProjects.
Please guide me what else should I do to get the project status report?

Is this OK?

CProjects - Project Systems Linking and other features

Dear All,
              I need inputs on how to integrate cProjects with Project Systems. Also i need information on the what are all the information we can integrate between these two.
              One more important thing is i am seeing the Services, Details Data and Controlling links in My cProjects system. Where as i found Account Assignment, Costing links in one screenshot of Documents. And both are for cProjects 4.0. Why this difference is showing up
              And one generic question is, what is the requirement for these kind of scenarios. And pros and Cons of both the systems.

Thanks very much for the links. However, I've already gone through the standard documentation in SAP and they are a bit too high level/vague for me. I have considerable experience in xRPM, cProjects Suite and have good grasp of project management concepts, tool and techniques. My knowledge of PS is somewhat limited though.
What I am specifically looking for is what type integration options and scenarios are available. For example, cProjects can have phases and tasks defined. How would these integrate with for example WBS elements and networks in PS? What are the things you would do in cProjects and not PS and vice versa? Hope my question is clearer now.

MS Project: Subproject Links

Hi there,
I have a master project with multiple subprojects all sat within the same running network folder.
I need to reflect the head-plan milestones into each subproject. I set this up as Head-Plan copies within each subproject using predecessor links to the master.
This works fine when the master is open; the problem comes when I close the master and open a sub. Then many milestones seem to forget their link and revert to project start date (giving me a large lump of milestones all sat on the same
date).
Thing is, the tasks seem to stay where they should so are still obeying their predecessor.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I could really do with working it out before rolling out the template to the other teams.

First of all, do you have SP2 installed? If not install it. It would also be a good idea to install the June 2013 cumulative update. All updates can be found at:

I'm not quite sure I fully follow what you have, but this is what I understand. You have a dynamic master with several milestones that actually reside in the master and you also have multiple subprojects inserted into the master. You have created milestones
in each subproject that are linked via cross-project links (i.e. external predecessors/successors) from the master milestones to those in the subprojects. Is that correct? If not, what exactly do you have?
I ran a quick test of the above structure. I saved all changes and then opened a subproject, master not open. The date of the linked milestone in the subproject was correct (i.e. reflected the date of the milestone in the master).
Some things you need to be aware of with dynamic master/subproject structures. They are prone to corruption. You must never move, rename, or save to another location. It is also not a good idea to operate the structure over a network.

CProject - Project System

I've finished planning a project in cProject:
- Cotrolling method: WBS, Auto, Task base
- Schedule
- Assign resource
- a PS is created & assigned automatically
- Status: released-transfered-assigned. (But status showed in dashboard is Released-Transfered)
In cProject page: Accounting -> costing - calculate. cost of project is calculated correctly. But I used CJ41 to view Cost Plan. but all values are 0.
I don't known what should I do more. please help

Errors occurred in costing in the ERP system.
Procedure
Check the costing log for costing in the ERP system:
Call costing:
If it is preliminary costing, the hyperlink for calling the ad hoccost estimate can be found in the Costing view.
If it is costing for an account assignment object (after transfer), the hyperlink for calling Easy Cost Planning can be found in the Services view.
In costing, choose Revaluate All Items . The costing log is then generated with the error messages.

Problem--Define number range for cProjects projects

Hi,
Does anybody knows how to define/create number range for projects in cProjects?.
In the standard cPrjects frontend system, the system is taking 16 digits number automatically so i want to define my own number range as required by the client.
Hence please let me know if some knows abt how to define number ranges for projects in cProjects system.

don't think there is a standard functionality for this. But you could create your own number range object and fill the data via BAdi. Try DPR_ATTRIBUTES.

CProjects - Project Search (front end)

Hi,
Project Search at cProjects front end (without any criteria) displays all projects in the system. This includes projects to which the user does not have any authorization.
How can we control this? Is there a way by which the system does not display the projects the user is not authorized to?

Hi Bittu,
One possible solution to this can be a custom BSP development. You can develop your own search feature, and comment the standard one. However, I see this to be a very complex development. Developing this feature with multiple search criteria would be difficult. You would need a dedicated BSP/Web Dynpro developer for this.
