Crashing with plotsupp.cpp line 4049 internal error

Hi all,
I m developing an application with LabView 8.5 Full Dev under WindowsXP.
Since several days, when working on my application, labview crash I(about 10 times a day) with internal error plotsupp.cpp line 4049 (on 3 different computers).
It crash when vi is running, but also when it stopped and when I edit it. It also sometimes crash after having closed all vi s and finally closing the Labview welcome window. In attachement there is 1 crash log. It s difficult because it is not reproducible (there is no action that systematically crash) and lot of different action can induce crashing (e.g opening a sub vi digram, moving a window, clsing a window,...).
Has I presume there could be a link with the display in my front panel, I ll describe them:
Some numerical and bool display in clusters
1 chart with 151 pts in history length
2 pictubre box (about 250x250 pix) with transparent background
That- s it.
I ve found this message which is quite similar with my problem.
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=271742&requireLogin=False
FYI, I tested the vi proposed and it doesn t crush on my computer.
Has my application is critical, I can afford it crashing...
I hope you can help me identifying the proble, and fixing it.
It wont be easy for you to test my vi because it use external devices, (1 tcp ip connection, and serial connection) but if needed i can try to remove these inputs).
Looking forward to hear from you
Rodrigue

Hi,
I had the same problem.
My simulator program, 10 msec loop, crashed only on Dual core processors.
The same program in single core processor never gave the problem.
Maybe thats why the problem did not show up if tested by NI.
I changed the update mode form swwep to normal and the problem never showed up again.
The crash can happen after seconds as well after hours, but it crashes LV.

  • Application crash with support.cpp line 1806

    Hi,
    I'm pretty desperately trying to find the cause for a crash upon starting my application.
    The error message I get is: Fatal internal error: "support.cpp" line 1806.
    The message comes even before the Front-Panel of the main VI opens.
    The corresponding application log shows this information: .\manager\support.cpp(1806) : DAbort: Unknown Conversion
    I'm using LabView 8.2.1f4 on Windows XP Pro.
    However the error does not occour every time I start my program, rather it happens every once in a while, so it's really hard to find the reason why..
    The application also crashes on other PCs, so I think that there is no problem with my OS.
    Does anybody have any hints about what to do in such a situation?
    thx,
    Leo

    Ok, thx for the info.
    I was wondering whether there is more info about the cause of the error (not only support.cpp and line number) but it's ok.
    My application is way too large to simply debug it (>1300 VIs, and .EXE size of ~30MB) :-(
    But everything is relative to the degree of annoyance the problem causes to the customers ;-)
    However, I'll send an update, if It happens that I find a simple way to reproduce it or if we decide to update to LV2009.
    thx,
    Leo

  • Lv crashes every 10 days, "plotsupp.cpp, line 1330"

    This vi continually writes to a buffer and displays on a waveform chart. Upon a trigger signal, a predefined amount of data (in the buffer) is written to a file and the vi ends. Labview is crashing every 10 days with failure message "plotsupp.cpp, line 1330". Mac G-4, OS 9, LabVIEW 6.1, 6031 I/O Card, 38 channels of data.

    Hello
    What happens every 10 days? Does the program get to the same specific point after 10 days of running? What does that specific part of the program do? Does the user have interaction with the VI or is it running by itself?
    The only report of this error crash we have is when the user tried to modify the labels in a control. Somehow the control got corrupted and the problem was fixed by replacing the controls in the front panel with new ones.
    If this does not help, you can narrow the problem down and post a simple VI so that we can reproduce the issue.

  • Can't sync with iTunes because of a internal error

    I was doing a restore of my iphone 5 because none of the art work matched the song or the artist....All was fine I was downloading my Itunes Library from the cloud and all the sudden I got a error saying I cannot sync with itunes due to a internal error now its stuck I cant get in...
    Please help these problems I never had until iOS 7 this downloading from the cloud requires a large bit transfer ..I feel it would be good to have the option to be able to download itune the old way by syncing with you computer via USB for individual song the cloud is great but large files take way to long and that's were the errors occur..
    Also I'm in Bahrain were cell,wifi data transer is not as good as some places in the world...

    This seems to be a commom problem. Mine occured in the middle of updating to the IOS 5. It didn't do it to my daughter's but it did it to mine & now whenever I try to sync or backup it constatantly says to delete old backup & that it's corrupted. Well I tried the deleting & The encrypting with the password & it still won't backup my phone & still says that same message. You would think Apple would give this help free automatically when they do an update!! I should have just left well enough alone I guess. But if anyone has any advice on how to fix it without deleting all my content (which is a lot), I would greatly appreciate it~!

  • Crash at linker.cpp, line 6323

    Hello,
    LabVIEW version: 8.0
    I am experiencing a reproducible crash when trying to open a certain vi. The crash results in labview shutting down completely, without any error message. This vi worked before, but I was doing some small modifications, and I was changing the folder structure where my subVI are saved.
    When restarting labview,  I get the following message: "The last time you ran LabVIEW, an internal error or crash occured at linker.cpp, line 6323" . Does anybody know what this error means, and how I can recover the vi that crashes on opening?
    Thanks in advance for help,
    Johannes

    Hi Johannes,
    such error lines can be avoided when disabling parts of codes and find so why and where the error comes.
    When you can´t open the vi anymore then attache it here and i will try to repair it.
    Sometimes it gives crazy objects in code whose cause strange behaviours in vi. For that best is to delete it or use new blockdiagram and copy old code in new diagram.
    Therefore its also important to save a backup (every day, hour - depend on amount of changes) from program when modify it.
    Best Regards
    Johann

  • Crashing with horizontal colored lines on screen?

    I've been having a serious issue with my MacBook Pro 13" recently. It started as different occasions of randomly crashing, and then progressed into crashing while horizontal colored lines flicker on the screen. The only option to fix this is short term, I will restart my computer only to have the lines show up ten minutes later and then have to restart again. This has been a nightmare for getting any work done, saving files, etc. Sometimes it crashes three times in the span of thirty minutes, and at that point will not even turn on but will instead trigger three beeps to sound, which I know is a sign of bad RAM.
    I actually invested in completely new RAM to see if I would fix the problem, upgrading from 8gb to 16gb. No luck, I still had crashing. I also completely erased my hard drive and performed a system restore. Also no luck. The lines and crashing are back.
    Has this happened to anyone else before? I'm worried this is an issue that I won't be able to fix, and I'll have to buy a new computer entirely which is super upsetting considering I only bought this Mac last year.
    Here's an image of the screen in all it's messed up glory (featuring adventures in online dating):
    http://tinypic.com/r/m9un21/8
    I would appreciate any help!

    I bought my macbook like a month ago and already sent
    it in for repair once. Now I have another problem.
    When ever I turned on my MB the screen just shows
    like a thousand multi colored lines and stays that
    way. The night b4 this happened the battery ran out
    and I was to lazy to charge it, so i just left it
    dead over night. When I woke this problem took
    effect. Anyone know what the problem is???
    thnx in advance,
    It's a bug in OS 10.4.7.

  • Cannot print with HP 1022 anymore: fatal::internal error -170

    Hiho,
    I've a HP 1022 laser printer. After one of the last reboots I'm not able to use it anymore. The printjobs get stopped every time I start them. Removing print jobs and adding new didn't help. Reinstalling the printer driver from HP didn't help. Resetting the printsystem didn't help. As a hint - I had to reboot several times until OSX was able to add the printer again (Bonjour via Airport Express or localy connected via USB).
    For debuging I added "debug2" to my cupsd.conf Loglevel settings. It seems that the internal error -170 is the point for breakage. Here's a small log extract:

    I'm sorry that I can't help you with your problem--but I think you can probably help ME!
    (I tried to email you privately but your email is not shown).
    I'm also having a printing problem and have looked at my log in /var/log/cups/error_log. There it shows the error and a "hint" to "Try setting the LogLevel to "debug" to find out more."
    I read from your message that you have done this, so I would like to know how to add "debug2" to my cupsd.conf Loglevel setting. A search on my computer for "cupsd.conf" returns nothing.
    Thanks for any help you can give me and I hope you find the answer to your problem too!

  • ERROR: (line 0): Internal error compiling the filter.

    It seems graph compiler is very touchy. I downloaded pixel bender few days ago, so I bet this is not fixed yet.
    Thing that compiles:
       void evaluatePixel()
        dst = sample (src, outCoord ());
    Thing that also compiles:
       void evaluatePixel()
        float2 at = outCoord ();
        pixel4 d = sampleNearest(src, float2 (at.x - 0.0, at.y - 0.0));
        dst = d;
    Thing that does not compile:
       void evaluatePixel()
        float2 at = outCoord ();
        pixel4 d = sampleNearest(src, float2 (at.x - 0.0, at.y - 0.0));
        dst = sample (src, outCoord ());
    Full graph here.

    found http://forums.adobe.com/message/56016 saying "it is illegal to use both types of sampling in a kernel". that was it. could be cool if it was saying that instead of "internal error" too.

  • Compiling failed with "unrecognized command line option '-Wl'" error

    Helllo,
    I have here a fresh installation of Archlinux and I fall into troubles with compiling a few of applications from AUR.
    The problem is this:
    gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-Wl’
    It happens for example with bubblefishymod package from AUR. I've never seen this error.
    Any suggestion, what is wrong, please?
    I have 64bit Archlinux installation, intel core i5, base-devel package group is installed.

    Seems like a straightforward error message. Read about -Wl in "man gcc" if you want to know more.
    In the meantime, removing "-Wl" from the LDFLAGS in the Makefile (I used a sed line in the PKGBUILD) should allow you to compile it successfully. Whether or not it works as expected though, is another matter entirely. Contact the author and get him to fix his Makefile.

  • InCopy CS5 crashes with "Font Capture..." error

    I've installed InCopy CS5 on my Windows XP machine but somehow something is going wrong with saving the preferences.
    I get an error:
    Font Captur: InCopy.exe - Application Error
    The instruction at "..." referenced memory at "...". The memory could not be "read".
    I've done some searching and found this solution:
    1.     Quit InCopy.
    2.     Rename the InCopy Defaults file (for example, to InCopy Defaults .old) in the C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\InCopy\Version 7.0 folder.
    3.     Rename the InCopy SavedData file (for example, to InCopy SavedData .old) in the C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\InCopy\Version 7.0\Caches folder.
    4.     Start InCopy. InCopy creates a new preferences file.
    But, this is only temporary, and has to be done every time when I want to work with IC.
    Is there a permament solution for this problem?

    That is a sign that your preference files are becoming corrupt. Something is wrong with your system if this is happening regularly.

    Yes, while the program is running and consistently it seems to happen shortly after selecting the  "ECG Chart" tab, I get the Microsoft error message (Error1.png attached) and after acknowledging the error Labview goes bye bye.
    Upon restarting Labview I get the "previous internal error" message (Error2.png attached) and the error log file is generated (lvlog10-04-07-13-48-17.txt attached).
    I don't know if it will help since you probably can't run the VI's without the ECG monitoring hardware (a device manufactured by Active Corp. communicating with my PC serially via a COM port), but I will go ahead and attach all of the related subVI's in the ensuing post.

  • Internal error int reply to ClientHello on ACE20 module with end-to-end SSL

    Hello, world!
    We have weird behaviour of our Cisco ACE20 module configured for end-to-end SSL (initiation+termination) - the module from time to time replies with SSLv3/TLSv1 alert "Fatal: internal error" message to the client right after client have sent 'ClientHello' SSL message. So sometimes SSL connection works and sometimes will be immediately closed due to this fatal error. The behaviour is very similar to the one described below:
    CSCtc52085—After a client sends a ClientHello message, the SSL hand shake may fail with a fatal alert internal error sent by the ACE. This behavior is intermittent and may occur under the following conditions:
    1. An SSL service is configured with the session-cache timeout command (session reuse).
    2. SSL connections are aborted by the client after the client sends a ClientHello message to the service in condition 1 and before an internal resource state is changed. This behavior puts the internal resource in an improper state. This error is very timing sensitive.
    3. The next connection that uses the internal resource in the improper state fails with a fatal alert internal error. That connection does not have to go to the service in condition 1 to experience this error because the internal resource is shared by all the SSL services.
    Workaround: None.
    But we have software version A2(3.1) and this bug must have been resolved in this release (at least it's listed in resolved caveats section of release notes).

    The "Internal error" counter increases with failed connections.
    Printscreen from wireshark attached.
    Maybe someone has the problem like ours? I have no idea how to troubleshoot these "internal errors"... :-(
    Thanks for your replies.

    Thanks for your reply.
    The problem is not server-related, I have exactly the same situation if I do SSL termination only, with unencrypted connection between ACE and backend servers (another servers, with blank apache installed and listening on 443 port for non-SSL traffic) - generally speaking, it works, but often with these "internal errors" - not suitable for production.

    There's nothing in ACE logs.
    Forgot to mention - we are running ACE in one-arm mode, but I don't believe it makes a difference.

    Click the Scan document in Solution Center-
    Error message displayed:

    Extended error information: 8,[(-1,0,0)]
    When Hp scan diagnostic utility  was used  - the message was: no scanners installed.
    how can we resolve the scanning problem

    I have the same problem on a HP 5610 Officejet All-in-One.
    "The scanning software was launched with improper command-line arguments.
    8, [(-1, 0, 0)]"
    What is the solution? The scanner does not work. All other functions, print, fax, copy work from with in the HP Solutions Center software - but not the scanner.

  • All CS2 apps crash with "Read Only Memory Exception" error.

    Machine Specs.
    Apple G5 1.8ghz DP
    OS X 10.4.10
    It doesn't matter which one I open, they all crash with the same error. This started when a user placed a support ticket for their mac not starting up. I wasn't able to save the user so I created a new user, and then moved their desktop files over to the new user. However the only files I moved were those on the desktop, and their Notes data directory.
    Thinking my job done I marked the tickets closed and walked away.
    I got a call later when the user came into the office and the issue was that Indesign CS2 was crashing with a "Read Only Memory Exception" error. I first deleted the Preferences on the machine. That didn't work.
    So I created a new user to see if it was the user causing the errors. I received the same error when opening Indesign CS2 from the brand new user account. I also tested all other CS2 programs and got the same errors.
    Next I tried deleting the CS2 programs and re-installing them. No luck, same error, even with a new user. I have not re-installed any plug-ins with the new App installs yet.
    Removed all fonts, and ran a font cache cleaner. Same error.
    Finally, the last thing I've tried is to manually remove every adobe application on the machine. Acrobat 5/6/7, CS1, CS2...etc. I have also removed any Adobe files/folders in the //library/, and /$home/Library/.
    Yet I still get the same error. Short of a complete wipe I'm not sure where to proceed next. I'm really confused and hoping someone can give me some clues.

    Thanks to a comcast permissions error any new files I upload to my comcast.net pages requires the administrator username/password to even see the file to download it. Simply giving out the URL for new files results in page not found errors.
    So for the forseeable future I don't see any way to upload this file correctly. Its there on my webspace all 63megs of it. If I login through the FTP account I can upload and download to my hearts content but since anonymous access is disabled I'm not giving out my administrator login info.
    I've got a gig of space, using 22mb of it, and can't upload any more files because no-one has permissions to access them.
    I spent a half hour on the phone with comcast trying to figure this out. However I don't know whats going on with their end. I have a trouble ticket open for a level 3 tech, we'll see whats going on.
    So the Font Scrubber will remain unavailable for the time being unless someone wants to give me guest upload access to a FTP account. I'm not opening a fileshare account with anyone, don't like'm.

  • Fbe internal error when compiling OpenSSL 1.0.2 64 bit

    Reading around, it seems to be caused by setting -xcode=pic32 but I need to set that because I am building a static library that will be linked into a shared library and that requires relocation.
    Changing the makefile so that the -xcode=pic32 flag is not passed when compiling .s files solves the problem but I am unsure if I will have an invalid build.
    Previous OpenSSL versions have compiled cleanly with this flag set.
    Does the message 'internal error' indicate that it is a bug in the compiler? If so is there a fix?
    Can anyone advise please?

    Internal errors, such as the one you encountered, are generally considered compiler bugs. They indicate that the compiler reached an unexpected state and therefore bailed out. I opened bug 20703141: internal error: pic_relocs(): hh reltype? to investigate. I see the same error message emitted by the current Studio development release; I will update this thread if I find a work-around.
    Thanks,
    Mark
