Create a BPMN process into SCA.

Hi, I found something strange while i've tried to create a composite application using a BPMN process.
I created a new BPM project using Composite with BPMN process.
But when I opened composite.xml diagram, the BPMN process wasn't appearing.
I did something wrong ?
Thanks in advice
Luis Henrique

  • Using XPath for associatios into BPMN process??

    Hello everybody:
    I'm using Oracle SOA and BPM Suite 11.1.1.5
    I have a BPMN process that have an entry variable of type CBEFF_BIR_Type (the xml declaration is shown below)
    <xsd:complexType name="CBEFF_BIR_Type">
                     <xsd:sequence>
                        <xsd:element name="FormatOwner" type="xsd:positiveInteger" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1"/>
                        <xsd:element name="FormatType" type="xsd:positiveInteger" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1"/>
                        <xsd:element name="BIR_Information" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1">
                            <xsd:complexType>
                                <xsd:sequence>
                                    <xsd:element name="BIR_Info" type="iso-iec19785-3-7:BIRInfoType" minOccurs="0"
                                         maxOccurs="1"/>
                                    <xsd:element name="BDB_Info" type="iso-iec19785-3-7:BDBInfoType" minOccurs="0"
                                         maxOccurs="1"/>
                                    <xsd:element name="SB_Info" type="iso-iec19785-3-7:SBInfoType" minOccurs="0"
                                         maxOccurs="1"/>
                                </xsd:sequence>
                            </xsd:complexType>
                        </xsd:element>
                        *<xsd:element name="BIR" type="tns:BaseBIRType"/>*
                    </xsd:sequence>
                </xsd:complexType>* BaseBIRType xml declaration*
    <xsd:complexType name="BaseBIRType"/>According to the business logic that BIR sould contain a node of type URI_BIR or BinaryBIR (xml declaration is shown below), it will never a self BaseBIRType.
    <xsd:complexType name="URI_BIR">
                    <xsd:complexContent>
                        *<xsd:extension base="tns:BaseBIRType">*
                            <xsd:sequence>
                                <xsd:element name="URI" type="xsd:anyURI"/>
                            </xsd:sequence>
                        </xsd:extension>
                    </xsd:complexContent>
                </xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:complexType name="BinaryBIR">
                    <xsd:complexContent>
                        *<xsd:extension base="tns:BaseBIRType">*
                            <xsd:sequence>
                                <xsd:element name="Binary" type="xsd:base64Binary"/>
                            </xsd:sequence>
                        </xsd:extension>
                    </xsd:complexContent>
                </xsd:complexType>As you can see, the bolded code in the first block illustrate a node of type BaseBIRType and the bolded code in the second block shows that the complex type URI_BIR and BinaryBIR are an extension of BaseBIRType. So it looks like a inheritance, as I see it.
    Inside my process I need to know what kind of node is coming inside de BIR (URI or Binary) to copy it to the correct variable type. I've tryed using the XPath Expessions provided by the IDE (+ora:instanceOf(XpathExpression, QName)+) but I had no results.
    Please someone who can guide me?, I'll appreciate any help. I'm new in XPath.

    isabelbernely

    As I see it you should use transformations not associations in such case. Within transformation (xslt) you should use XPath expression to test which of the concrete instance of the base type you are dealing with and proceed accordingly. That's bit ugly (depending on actual subelements to distinguish types) so there are two alternatives:
    1. use xsi:type in xml instance - an attribute which will directly indicate the type of the element (many java xml binding frameworks can output such attribute while marshalling types to xml)
    2. remodel your xsd to use substitution groups - the construct is similar but due to nature of substitution groups each concrete type will have a separate named element - easy to distinguish later in transformation

  • Date transfer between 11g BPMN Process and Human Workflow task

    I'm creating a small BPMN process in SOA Suite 11g. Pretty simple: Holiday Request where one enters name, start date, end date and leave type (e.g. annual). The odd thing is, any dates I enter into the process end up losing one day when viewed in the BPM Worklist.
    So, to be clear:
    * The BPMN process receives a message like this (note the +10:00 -- I'm running this in Australia):
    <RequestData>
    <name>JohnJames</name>
    <startDate>2010-06-21+10:00</startDate>
    <endDate>2010-06-21+10:00</endDate>
    <leaveType>annual</leaveType>
    </RequestData>
    * It does some minor processing, then passes this onto a Human Workflow task (exactly the same):
    <RequestData>
    <name>JohnJames</name>
    <startDate>2010-06-21+10:00</startDate>
    <endDate>2010-06-21+10:00</endDate>
    <leaveType>annual</leaveType>
    </RequestData>
    * When I open the task in the BPM Worklist app I see this:
    name : JohnJames
    startDate : 20/06/2010
    endDate : 20/06/2010
    leaveType : annual
    So, why? My processing code doesn't alter the dates in any way at all before passing them to Human Workflow. I figure this has something to do with locales used by HW but I can't figure out where or what to change. Any clues? Comments? Ideas?

    OK, I have a solution that works for me: YMMV. There's two parts to it:
    1) To have the dates interpreted correctly, I changed the fields on the generated forms for the Human Tasks. The Start Date and End Date fields were created as Input Text fields with the "Converter" property set to <default>. I changed the fields to Input Date fields instead, and the dates were interpreted correctly (i.e. May 21 showed up as May 21 rather than May 20) But they still showed up in US date format: 5/21/2010.
    2) To have them formatted for my locale, I added a "formatting-locale" entry to the "trinidad-config.xml" file: <formatting-locale>en-AU</formatting-locale>. The dates then showed up as 21/5/2010.
    This solution doesn't give you dates automatically formatted for your own locale, or different locales based on browser, but it does give me what I want for now. Thought some folks might be interested.

    Hi Matt
    Till you get exact answer, try indirect approach. I did view page source and could not find the details in the source code. Then I clicked on image to show in new browser and thats when I got this link: You can dig into this imageRenderer.jsp file that can be found in one of the WAR files shown below. Look into EARs also that my have WARs with this jsp. Mostly there should be some sort of Servlet also to display the audit trail. I just checked from bpm/workspace Process Tracking Tab. I did not looked from EM Console tracking tabs though.
    beaHome\Oracle_SOA1\soa\applications\OracleBPMWorkspace.ear has a OracleBPMWorkspace.war file. See if this direction helps
    http://devlinux04:8001/bpm/workspace/jsf/instance/imageRenderer.jsp?imagePath=/tmp/1pLcNmhd77v9XnLCrpNs6dyby3Vzpv4QR1LdPTTf6hpCTp8Fh2KH!-206223496!1302780477267/GraphicalAuditTrail1328100234265306320.png

  • How to change a Async BPEL process into Sync bpel process

    Hi All,
    Can we change a bpel process which has been created by choosing the template as Asynchronous BPEL Process and after my requirement has
    been changed i want to change my bpel process into synchronous bpel process. Is it possible to change the process or else we have to delete the whole process and once again we have to create a bpel process with synchronous template.
    IF it possible to change the process from Async to sync how. is there any demo link on this. If possibel can anyone share a link on this.
    Regards,
    CH

    Diff between ASYNC & SYNC

    Respective to your requirements you can change your BPEL to Sync/ASync.
    I hope it will help.

  • When bad file is created then the process stops

    hi all,
    through interface while we transfer data to a table , if the bad file is created, then the process stops .we want to execute further with all the correct data records excluding records which are in bad file, is it possible ? if yes then how. Because out of 10,000 records if one record is errorneous why the process will stop.
    I checked LKM and found the jython script where it checks the return code <> 0 can I do something there to meet our requirements.
    regards,
    Palash

    Hi,
    You can do this by implementing error checking in the tool, so that only the bad records will be moved into E$ table and remaining records will insert into the target tables. I hope this will meet your requirements.

  • How to create automatic timer process in BPM?

    Can anyone tell me how to create an automatic timer process in BPM?
    Can I just create an manual process, and drag the timer event into the swam lane, can connect the timer to the service and then to the end event?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    You can make use of Global Automatic activity to kick off your process at a particular time. Place a Global Automatic activity in your process and right click on the Global Automatic activity and select Properties --> General --> Global Automatic Type: Automatic Schedule, Automatic Schedule: <Configure with your requirement>.
    Else you can make use of due transition/timer activity to get your task done.

  • How to reference BPMN process from a different Composite

    I have one "master" composite that defines a BPMN process. This process takes the input and, based on that input, will direct the workflow to the required BPMN process. There will be several BPMN process that can be referred to, and each one is created in its own Composite.
    Currently, in the "master" composite, I've created a Web Service Adapter that is a reference to the required BPMN process from a different composite.
    There seems to be something missing my composite.xml source though, for when I try to compile everything, I get an exception.
    First, here's the XML for the reference in the "master" composite. You can see that there is no value for the web service port or location. I'm not sure what it should be because this is all design-time. At some point, I will deploy all of the composites to one server.
    <reference name="AssetSubmissionService"
    ui:wsdlLocation="AssetSubmissionProcess.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpmn/bpmnProcess/AssetSubmissionProcess#wsdl.interface(AssetSubmissionProcessPortType)"
    callbackInterface="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpmn/bpmnProcess/AssetSubmissionProcess#wsdl.interface(AssetSubmissionProcessPortTypeCallBack)"/>
    <binding.ws port="" location=""/>
    <callback>
    <binding.ws port=""/>
    </callback>
    </reference>
    The exception is: Error(12,61): Parse of component type files failed, check the adf-config.xml file : "Error at line 32 char 38: Malformed WS Binding port. Missing # between namespace URI and service/port names."
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,
    There needs to be a binding defined in the other WSDL. If there is not at design time you may need to deploy the 2nd composite in order to get a copy of its WSDL with a binding defined.

    How to create Short Lived process?..can neone pls help...

    Hi,
    Login into workbench. Click on Help->Workbench start page.
    Lot of helps are there you can go through them. They will be helpful.
    But it seems you are new to livecycle, so it will difficult to start through help. Either you can take help of any of your team member who is expert in livecycle or some training you should attend.

  • Import BPEL process into integration repository ???

    Hey all,
    I know that it's possible to export an integration scenario to BPEL4WS.
    My first question is if it's also possible to import such a BPEL4WS process into the integration repository?
    Second question: Somewhere I read that it's optional to design integration scenarios with the graphical designer. Is that true and is there another way to create such a scenario?
    Thanks for your help!
    Regards
    Matthias

    >My first question is if it's also possible to import such a BPEL4WS process into the integration repository?
    Yes you can import BPEL4WS, in IR.
    1. Create Integration process
    2. Switch to BPEL4WS display sceen and import your BPEL.
    go through the following link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/9f/7a7440036f6d1de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    >Second question: Somewhere I read that it's optional to design integration scenarios with the graphical designer. Is that true and is there another way to create such a scenario?
    Aris is a tool to configure your Integration scenario other than graphical scenario.
    I dont think it is available today with XI3.0.
    There is lot of documentation available on ARIS with SAP.

  • Drop, create and insert data into few intermediate tables

    Hi All,
    I need to schedule a process to drop, create and insert data into few intermediate tables on a weekly basis. Here is what i need to do in the stored procedure, which can be scheduled weekly.
    DROP TABLE TABLE_NAME1;
    DROP TABLE TABLE_NAME2;
    DROP TABLE TABLE_NAME3;
    CREATE TABLE TABLE_NAME1
    CREATE TABLE TABLE_NAME2
    CREATE TABLE TABLE_NAME3
    INSERT INTO TABLE_NAME1 SELECT ....;
    INSERT INTO TABLE_NAME2 SELECT ....;
    INSERT INTO TABLE_NAME3 SELECT ....;
    Any suggestions, examples or code on how to accomplish this task would be very helpful. Any question pls let me know.
    Thanks in advance.

    I am using the intermediate tables in an extract process. The idea was that the table would be created prior to calling the extract procedure and once the data written to the intermediate table had been processed the table would be dropped. This would be repeated each time the extract process is run. From a DBA's point or view, would it be better to just leave the table on the database and truncate it after each run or is removing it entirely best?

  • Problem communicating between Asynchronous BPMN processes

    Hello, I'm having problems communicating between two BPMN processes with an assynchronous interface.
    I have a main BPMN process (process A) and inside I have a Send Task to invoke a second BPMN process (process B). Both processes are inside the same JDev project.
    BPM Process B was created using the JDev wizard. I chose a asynchronous service and defined input and output variables. In the created process I verified the Start and End events (in the implementation tab) and both are defined corretcly. In the composite.xml Process B has 2 operations on the Exposed Services side (left side).
    In Process A, inside the Send Task implementation tab I have selected:
    Conversation Type: Initiates
    Properties
    - Implementation: Process Call
    - Process: I can browse and select Process B
    - Node: Nothing is shown on the LOV.
    If instead of the Send Task I use a Service Task I can select the Node (Start node of Process B).
    I am using versions 11.1.1.4 for both JDev and SOA/BPM.
    Can you help me? Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
    The send and receive tasks perform similar functionality to the throw and catch message events. However, you cannot use the send task to invoke a process that is initiated with a message start event.

  • Implementing a BPMN Process - Defining a Service

    Hello,
    I've just installed SOA and BPM 11.1.1.7.
    in Oracle Doc, 3.5 Implementing a BPMN Process - Defining a Service -  http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/user.1111/e15177/design_bus_proc_bpmcu.htm#CHDJIDCG
    it is referred to a SaveRequest service: /soa-infra/services/default/SaveRequest/saverequestsync_client_ep?WSDL
    Where can we find it?
    Also, would you have equivalent alternatives for the "http://localhost:7001/LOVHelper/jersey/listvalues/countries" which is not installed with soa either?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vince

    Hi Vince,
    Brian Leonard from Oracle has a blog post that shows how to access his RESTful service that does what I think you're looking for:  https://weblogs.java.net/blog/bleonard/archive/2013/05/03/dynamically-populating-bpm-web-form-dropdowns
    He's exposed it outside his firewall and you might be able to hit it directly.  He also included his project on the blog post if you want to try deploying it in your environment.
    Even if you're a SOA developer you might struggle trying to get his REST web service working in your environment.  I use a similar service for our training and I can give you a few tips if you run into issues deploying and running it.

  • PSD Asset not processing into system?

    Hi,
    I'm working with Extract for the first time today. With the first, small and straight-forward file the system worked beautifully. However, with subsequent attempts to work with larger and more complex PSDs, not only does it seem that they are not processing into the system (no thumbnails in Assets view), but when I try to view the file in the Extract view, the system attempts to process them and then fails at 34% each time.
    I have confirmed that there are fewer than 1000 layers in these files (up to 833). However, there are commas in the layer names, which is triggering issues in the Extract Assets process within PS itself.
    Could you help me troubleshoot what's going on here?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sure... we're always interested in files that don't process because our target there is zero :-)
    Since I don't have access to these failing files you would need to explicitly share them with us for investigation. If it's something that you can share, you can do so by choosing "Send link" from the dropdown and then choosing "Create public link."  That will create an (unlisted) link that you can then share via PM or even here in the forum if you choose.
    Thanks,

  • Integrate Multiple BPEL Process into one project

    Hi,
    Can anyone help for the following problem?
    We created different BPEL process.One bpel process calls the another bpel process internally .
    EX:
    process1,process2 and process3.
    In side process1, I will call process2 and process3.
    I want to integrate all 3 process into one.
    Can anyone help how can i do this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Bharath

    Can't you create a new process, copy everything between the main-scopes of the other processes to the new process (skip some of the receives and callbacks so you have 1 receive and 1 callback left), copy all the variables, namespaces, xsl mappings, and try again.
    it's more a bit of 'trial and error' and see what's left.
    Hope you can use this a bit.
