Create a browser in Flex

Can I create a browser window inside Flex? I want to create my own miny browser inside a Flex app so I can easily communicate between my Flash app and a website.

I have an application that is trying to use BlazeDS. I am using Flash Builder 4 Plug-in on RSA 7.5.5. Any help would be apprecialted!

How to create multiple pages using flex application.

Hi all,
i am doing flex application which contains 5 different
pages,
to do this i have used viewstack component to navigate
between the pages.
this is working fine if all my pages are of same size. each
page as different background image.
but i have to create pages with different sizes.
my first and second page are small and remaining pages are
big.
when i navigate to 3rd or 4th page, it is showing scrollbar
inside swf.
but i want scrollbar for browser window not inside my swf
anyone please guide me how to create pages in flex
application.
i have one more doubt, if my page contains some html links ,
how to open those links,
is it posible to open the link in new window.
please help me , i have no idea how to create web
applications using flex

I am getting vertical scrollbar for page3 and page4,
please tell me how to avoid this, Is their any other method
to do this.

background image loads very slow, before it loads all the flex
components will load. So when you open this please wait till
background image loaded, to move to next and back pages.

Creating a project in Flex Builder for the Hybrid Store sample Application

Hi all,
How to create a project in Flexbuilder for the hybrid store
sample application.
I downloaded the source code of hybridstore application,
Now i have to create a project for it to run that application
in my system,
will you please tell me how to create a project for this
sample.
I have also read the readme.html file. but i could not follow
exactly what they are saying.
what i did is, I unzipped the source code into a folder
hybridstore.
I opened the flexbuilder : File -- new -- flexproject ( i
have selected) then i have given name to my file (hybridstore) ,
and set the path to the hybridstore folder where the source code
exists.
but it as created hybridstore.mxml file also.
it is not working.
will you please till me how to create project for this
application.
I have created project for other samples like restaurent
finder, dashboard. they are working fine.
I got problem with this sample only.

Name your default application catalog.mxml.
Prevent Flex Builder from generating an HTML wrapper: select
Project > Properties. Select the Flex Compiler page, deselect
the Generate HTML wrapper file option .
Create a Run configuration for your project but deselect the
Use defaults option and instead assign the Run setting to the
hybridstore.html in your project's bin directory.
To enable debugging of the Hybrid Store application you must
create a copy of hybridstore.html. Open it in an editor (you can
right-click on the file and select Open With > Text Editor).
Find the line that says "src", "catalog" and change it to "src",
"catalog-debug". Assign the Debug setting to this new HTML file.
As i am new to flex , i could not know how to do this.

I know it's late and I don't know if you're still having this issue but maybe this can be helpful to the next person who has it. As was already said, I think you should probably consider doing this project as an application rather than an applet to avoid file access permission problems. That said, here's how I would do it (since no one has answered your question directly):
First this class should extend JFrame or some other window class
Next create a file object (it's static so it can be accessed by anonymous classes later):
private static File myFile = null;Then, inside the appropriate method (probably something like init() or main()), make the button and give it some functionality with an anonymous MouseListener:

Yes, you should google Flex screenshot bitmap, there are a
number of examples. As far as 'selecting' one of the examples may
show this, but you can just use a Canvas or similar for the box
drawing (set background transparent, and just use the borders, and
resize the canvas on mouse events). Otherwise you can do the
Graphics sorite drawing by hand or use something like Degrafa for
fancier, or look up quasimodo marching ants for an animated
selection technique.

ExtensionContext error while creating Native Extension in Flex 3.6 SDK

I'm creating native extension with Flex 3.6 . Coded native side then created Flex Library Project and then create .ane file. Finally imported .ane file to myFlex Project.
Here is the problem I had. While I'm debugging app, "1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: ExtensionContext" error occurs. Attached the Library project .as class .

This is something I've wanted for a long time and am very surprised to hear that it's possible with Reader since they took it away long ago. Can you explain exactly which usage right is required for this? How about a sample file that demonstrates it works in Reader? In other words, I'd have to see it to believe it.

First time I've seen this one.
          The core issue may be that WL can not find its jar's
          manifest file META-INF/MANIFEST.MF, or can find it
          but can't open it.
          Are you doing something unique?
          A bunch of random questions for you:
          Is the full weblogic.jar in your classpath?
          Is it corrupted somehow?
          Is this problem unique to 7.0sp1?
          Is this application running on the server? In an applet?

I'm thing of creating a game in flex. It will be a original strategy game based more on playability and thinging rather than sheer Graphics. Could you give me and tips before I start out?
The game will be based on a collection of circles that group together and by stonger together than apart(for both attacking and defense) but there will also be a map where statigic objectsives will be based. You will have some type of simple base and resource gathering.

files,iwant to open it in the browser.can any one tell me how to
open pdf documents using flex programming(i tried with different
thing like swf's but my client wants only pdf formatt).

How can I create an executable with Flex Builder 3?

I'm working with Flex Builder 3 right now and I've run my
head into a brick wall. Here's the situation:
I'm creating a standalone application (runs in its own
window, not in a web page) and I want to run it on a computer that
does not have Flex Builder 3 installed. Help files and web searches
haven't directed me to the right answer, so I was hoping that
someone on this forum could help. Anyone know how to create a .exe
file or something else that can be run outside of Flex Builder?

about the difference. I guess I should have pointed out that I'm a
complete Flex Novice!
Anyway, with Flex Builder, I created an MXML Application. I
went through all my various options again in Flex Builder and found
that under the project menu, I could export a release build in what
appears to be the format you mentioned. I managed to create a .air
file, but it is not a recognized file type on my computer. I tried
double clicking it and the built-in windows services couldn't even
find a possible way to run it. Am I missing some important step?
