Create a link node in tree

I created a web dynpro project which implement a KM file repository constructs by recursion child node. If the node is collection (folder) there is no problem to open it,But if it is not (for example if it is a *.pdf or *.doc or *.txt), I don’t know how can I open it. May be I should somehow cause the node to be a link.

Hi,
1.Bind the ValueAttribute to the NodeItem and store all the URLs in the ValueAttribute.
2.Bind the same ValueAttribute to the IFrame control also.
3.On Click of TreeItem it will open the URL in the IFrame

  • Command link used as tree node

    I'm using an ADF Tree where one of my nodes is a command link. I've given the link an id="myLink".
    When I run the page, the tree shows up fine with just one node.
    But the View Page source does not contain any entry that says id="mylink".
    Where could be the problem?

    Hi,
    I assume you use ADF Faces RC, because otherwise you would have posted this to the JDeveloper forum. If you add a command link t a node, then this command link is used for any node that is rendered for the tree (unless you implemented it in a way that only has exactly one command link component showing in the whole tree - which I don't think you have).
    In JSF you cannot have more than one component with a specific ID, which means that assigning an ID to a command link in a tree doesn't make much sense.
    In ADF Faces RC, trees are active components, which means they are created in the DOM and not HTML. So using a DOM inspector like Firebug you should see your tree and link components

    This is a directory issue that Disk Utility cannot fix. Although it manifests itself as a software issue sometimes it may be hardware based. See DiskUtility reports "Underlying task reported failure" when repairing avolume http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1901?viewlocale=en_US". You can try using a utility like TechTool Pro, Drive Genius or Disk Warrior to repair and replace the directory. Another option would be to use the Archive and Install feature to reinstall. If the problem returns after correction you may have a failing or failed HDD.

    use method add_node of the class Cl_gui_alv_tree to add a node to the tree.
    In case of root node the parameter lv_relat_key is passed as blank.In order to create further child nodes pass the node key of the parent as the relat key of the child and use the method again.

    Thanks for the reply. I was able to create the tree view.  Now I have two requirements related to this.
    1. How to have them as collapsible menu structure, which gets expanded as and when user wants.
    2. Can we customize it as, Whenever a user add as page in favorites, it will ask for to to put in some folder that is there under my favorites links? I belive it requires some programming customization. Could you guide me, for some solution.

    But you can do that by using directly the Records API. How to use this is demonstrated in the report 'SRM_RECORD_API_HOWTO'. Search there for the subroutine 'fillrecordelement'. There a record element for insert is created and its type is set. You can set the type there to 'IF_SRM_SP_RECORD_ELEMENT~TYPE_MODEL'. Of course your POID then may not be an instance POID.

  • Calculation in BEx on Hierarchy Link Nodes

    Hello everyone. I am working on a BEx query that involves a hierarchy based on Controlling Area, Cost Center, and Cost Element. There is a case where I have 5 Cost Elements that belong to 2 Cost Centers. I can successfully create the duplicate nodes at the different Cost Center levels and activate the hierarchy. Where I am having difficulty is assigning a percentage factor to the key-figure at the parent-node (80%) and the link-node (20%). The high-level node at CO_AREA is correct. However, the COST_CENTER nodes show the total original value. I would like to apply these factors dynamically in the BEx query. I have tried structures and cell definitions and was able to apply the 80% and 20% factors correctly to the corresponding hierarchy nodes. Unfortunately, the amounts are not broken down as I would like to see them.
    I have looked at the documentation on "Link Nodes" and "Modeling Nodes and Leaves: at help.sap.com.

  • How to create a link to a document in the KM content

    I work in BI.  I have a document in the KM Content folder and I want to create a link to this document from another folder that I created in Portal Content.  Can someone tell me I can do this?

    There seems to be some confusion between Portal and KM features here.
    The problem is that I have no idea of BI. But as I understand it correctly, BI stores some objects like Web Reports in KM folders.
    To your point 1.: ZSANDYTEST looks like a customer development. This is not a standard navigation node. Also you speak of "folder". The navigation nodes "Content Administration" and "Portal Content" have nothing to do with KM at all. The are comming from a portal role. So the question is, what is ZSANDYTEST below the Portal Conten navigation node? Is it an iView? What kind of iView is it?
    You say you want to have a "link" in this "folder" but without getting more details about what kind of object "ZSANDYTEST" is I can only guess, what you are having there.
    I suggest to first get a basic understanding on portal content and portal roles starting about here

    No if you now what a role is and what an iView is, we can talk about how to integrate something into an already existing role. You can create an iView of a fitting type to integrate any content into the portal.
    For example create an SAP transaction iView if you want to integrate an SAP transaction.
    Now KM is an application using the portal. Things stored in KM can be intergrated in different ways.
    If you want to integrate a word document stored in KM it is a good idea to create a KM document iView. If you want to intergrate a whole KM folder structure you need to use a KM navigation iView. In the standard portal roles there are already KM navigation iViews, so to integrate a new object like a word document you can simply create a new KM folder and upload the document there.
    So try to specify if you mean a KM folder or a portal navigation node or a PCD folder. Because whithout seeing the system while talking about this there will be confusion.
    2. When creating a link in KM you will get a popup with KM entry points in it for which you have permissions. There is also a small link called "more" if not all entry points are fitting into the window.
    Form the link to this SRA_LOGO_TEST you posted before this seems to be stored in a subfolder of the "Public Documents" entry point (folder) so navigate into the Public Documents entry point and into the subfolder containing the object you want to link to. Of course, if you do not have read permission to the folders or objects you want to link to, you will not see them.

  • Creating a Dynamic Node for a Dynamic Graphic - Tutorial

    Hi everyone,
    I'm sharing my first tutorial, hope it'll be helpful for you.
    In the Layout tab, it's possible to create an UI element "Business Graphic". It's a very simple tool that only requires a context node with a category attribute (that means, the values that will appear in the 'x' axis) and one or more series (each one with a color, generally a numerical value). It's possible to add a label for each series for better understanding of the Graphic.
    Although it's a very powerful tool, there are some problems when we must create a graphic with N series and different labels. If the graphic use an ALV or internal table to fetch data, during runtime we can have more or less series. The definition of a static node and generic series is not enough in this case. That's why I'd like to present you this little tutorial to create a dynamic node that fetchs a dynamic graph:
    In the WDDOINIT or Event Handler method that starts the application (once the data is available) we should create the dynamic node in the following way:

    How are you creating the tree pro-grammatically?
    If you are adding a new node to underlying data structure and refresh the tree - the tree will get updated with the new data.
