Create a pop up message on WAD using Javascipt

Can someone explain me or give me samples to create a simple pop up msg upon user click on the report (before variable scree).  It can also be after the variable screen.
I was trying to use the Javascript with Alert function but so far no luck. I need to know the steps as well.
Thanks

Hello,
What i can recommend is to create a HTML pop up box and provide its link for the report instead of report link.
Now when they click on the report link it will open the popup. Now in the popup provide a button titled continue.
now for this continue button provide on click event to call the report link.

  • How can I create a pop up message in MULTILINE on WEB GUI?

    Hi Experts,
    I have gone through several thread to search if I can write pop up message in more than in one line.
    for example...
    title: continue ?
    SDD no12366
    customer name: abc ltm
    lines: 2 lines records
    gr_pers_popup = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup_2_confirm(
                        iv_title = 'CAUTION - Continue Import ?'
                        iv_text = lv_text "'SDD-1234676; Cust - ABSOLUTE GLASS WORKS; Lines - 2'
                        iv_btncombination = if_bsp_wd_window_manager=>co_btncomb_yesno
        gr_pers_popup->open( ).
        gr_pers_popup->set_on_close_event( iv_event_name = 'Confirm' iv_view = me ).
    Please advise, if any work around available to display multiple line on pop_up_confirm text on WEB UI .
    Thanks in advance.

    Multiline messages cannot be shown on standard Pop Up. In case you need multiline messages then create a new view, use it as a pop up and then you can show text messages as per the business requirement.
    The blog mentioned above (http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/CallingCustomcomponentaspopupfromastandardcomponentinCRMWEBUI-Part+2) will definately help you

  • Creating new user get message "Name is used by an other user"

    10.9.2.
    Trying to create a new user getting the message "Name is used by an other user" under the short name.
    How can I remove the remnants of this user that I suppose has been transferred when I migrated the users from an old mac to this one?  Becuase it might have been there in the past, but has been deleted.  Needless to say there is presently only one user in the 'Users & Groups' control panel.  And this one is not using this name.
    I tried in Terminal
    sudo rm -rf /Users/ShortName\\ deleted
    (ShortName to be replaced by the name of the account it refuses to create). This does not make a change.

    I found the solution here:

  • Pop up message in Background execution

    Hello everybody!
    I created a Pop up message in AT-SELECTION-SCREEN event and it's working well in online mode. However, when I try to execute the same program in Background mode, the SE37 transaction does not show me the list at spool.
    Question: Does SAP allow the execution in background mode with pop up messages?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    in at selection-screen generally we will not use the Information Message, so i think in your case it is Error message. so Obviously it will not work.
    i guess you are using error message.

  • Constant Java Runtime pop up message after Yosemite Update

    After downloading Yosemite, a message keeps popping up saying " To view this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment." I have already installed the Java update, but the message continues to pop every hour or so. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this pop up message? I use google chrome as my main browser. My husband uses Safari and he gets the same message after updating to Yosemite.

    Most likely, you have either the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. Both depend on the Java runtime distributed by Apple. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

  • Need help with Pop Up message

    I've created a pop up message for a client that notifies you
    when you are leaving a site. You can press ok to get redirected to
    another site or cancel out by pressing the X. But when you press
    the X it redirects you to the site anyways. Is there a way to
    cancel the action or redirection of the pop up message window. Or
    do I need to create a seperate page for the pop up message.

    If you haven't already, you would be well served searching
    through the
    archives for the answer to your question. The archives can be
    found here:
    http://groups.google.com/group/macromedia.dreamweaver
    http://groups.google.com/group/macromedia.dreamweaver.appdev
    In this case, I think you'll find an answer that says, "Don't
    do this,
    people know what they want to do".
    You don't need to repost the topic, if somebody wants to help
    you they will.
    It's doubtful anybody will, though, because it's not a
    popular behavior on
    the net.
    The only place that still does it that I surf is my bank, and
    I can't think
    of a worse security botch up. What if I just leave and
    somebody comes in
    behind meand clicks "cancel". Stupid.

  • How to configure a pop up message when creating an appraisal?

    Hi All,
    I have a question.
    When the supervisor creates an appraisal for an employee, the supervisor is obligated to create Objectives for the employee but creating Competencies are only optional for executives (people group). When the supervisor has finished creating the appraisal and wants to review it, he will need to click on a Continue button.
    When the continue button is pressed, a warning pop up message will appear if the competencies created was null. As it is only a warning pop up message the supervisor can just click ok and continue to the review page.
    Now I am needed to configure this pop up message for the appraisal creation page and I would like to know how do I go about in searching for it? Should it be in the OAF java files or is the pop up message can be configured using personalization? I just want to know how to search for the configuration of this pop up message. Thank you

    Hi Sheela,
    Though you made 'Dataline' field as mandatory, system will throw an error message and will put MOUSE CURSOR on that missing field. So ultimately user would come to know that a particular field is missing.
    And in SAP there would be lots of mandatory fields and it's really not feasible to put pop-up messages for such requirements and that too in transactions like CMR.
    Tell user that system will automatically put MOUSE CURSOR on a particular mandatory field anytime anybody misses to maintain it. As a SAP consultant, your job is to convince the user with such standard functions.
    If at all you want to put pop-up message for it, then you need to go for User Exit development.
    Revert back if any further issue.

  • Create a pop-up help message

    Hello,
    I'm looking for  a way to create a pop-up help message.  What I want to have is 'section help' button.  When a user clicks on the button, a small screen pops-up with instruction how to fill out the form.
    I'm trying to use the below but it looks so ugly.
    xfa.host.messageBox("Please select the application that you need to request an account for" , "Select Application(s)", 5, 5);
    I searched the web and came across the pop-up pdf http://forums.adobe.com/message/2386742#2386742
    I however, don't know how to make the button float on top of the form.  Could you please explain to me how to create a button from a pdf and how to make it float on top of the form?
    Thank you very much for your help.
    Best regards,
    Sahra

    You can put text into the Tool Tip box in the Accessibility palette for that.

    After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
    If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
    If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.
    Good luck

    If you are signed into your current iCloud ID you shouldn't be prompted for the old ID unless there is another service still signed into it.  Check the ID in iMessage (Settings>Messages>Send & Receive), FaceTime (Settings>FaceTime), Game Center (Settings>Game Center), the iTunes store (Settings>iTunes & App Store), etc. to make sure you aren't still signed in with the old ID.  If you are, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

  • WCF client consumes JAVA web service - should I use WCF or just create a custom parser/message factory?

    We've a business partner who requires us to create a service request message with a SAML 2.0 assertion. The partner's supplied two certificates and a test harness for their JAVA webservice.
    I've created a WCF client with a `CustomBinding` to try and recreate the request and consume the service, but I'm getting so frustrated with the nuances of WCF (and the lack of intrinsic support for SAML 2.0) I'm wondering am I better off using something like
    a `WebClient` or `HttpWebRequest` and encrypting/building & signing the XML web request and doing the same for the response. I know there's a lot of work involved on this but at least I'd be in full control.
    Your advice would be very much appreciated, what I'm working with is displayed below

    I've no idea how to insert the SAML 2.0 assertion in there before it's signed. That and the Key Issuer/serial issue above is where my main problems lie with the request.
    Any and all help appreciated

    Yaron,
    Thanks a million for your response, think you hit the nail on the head there. Actually figured out the first part myself this morning, I've retrieved the SymmetricSecurityBindingElement object from the binding configured in the app.config and set it explicitly,
    just as you've defined. Couldnt figure out how to do this yesterday for some reason! Here's the code for anyone that's interested:
    //Get custom binding reference from app.config
    CustomBinding binding = new CustomBinding("bindingNameInConfig");
    // Reference the symmetric security element
    SymmetricSecurityBindingElement securityBindingElement = binding.Elements.Find<SymmetricSecurityBindingElement>();
    // Get the x509ProtectionParams from the security element
    X509SecurityTokenParameters tokenParameters = new X509SecurityTokenParameters();
    tokenParameters.X509ReferenceStyle = X509KeyIdentifierClauseType.IssuerSerial;
    tokenParameters.RequireDerivedKeys = false;
    tokenParameters.InclusionMode = SecurityTokenInclusionMode.AlwaysToInitiator;
    // Set the X509SecurityTokenParameters to point to the one's just configured. This is for symetric encryption, for asymetric this line needs to change
    securityBindingElement.ProtectionTokenParameters = tokenParameters;
    Are you sure that SAML assertion is not signed? That makes things a lot easier! Do you think the following approach will work when inserting in the SAML 2.0 assertion? :
    Create a class that inherits from IClientMessageInspector and insert the SAML as shown below
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.ServiceModel;
    using System.ServiceModel.Channels;
    using System.ServiceModel.Description;
    using System.ServiceModel.Dispatcher;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Xml;
    using Microsoft.IdentityModel.Protocols.XmlSignature;
    namespace TestClient.Application
    class Saml20Extension : IClientMessageInspector, IEndpointBehavior
    #region Implementation of IClientMessageInspector
    public object BeforeSendRequest(ref Message request, IClientChannel channel)
    MessageBuffer buffer = request.CreateBufferedCopy(int.MaxValue);
    // ** Add the SAML Assertion XML here **
    request = buffer.CreateMessage();
    return null;
    public void AfterReceiveReply(ref Message reply, object correlationState)
    MessageBuffer buffer = reply.CreateBufferedCopy(Int32.MaxValue);
    // ** REMOVE THE SAML ASSERTION HERE **
    reply = buffer.CreateMessage();
    #endregion
    #region Implementation of IEndpointBehavior
    public void AddBindingParameters(ServiceEndpoint endpoint, System.ServiceModel.Channels.BindingParameterCollection bindingParameters)
    public void ApplyClientBehavior(ServiceEndpoint endpoint, ClientRuntime clientRuntime)
    // Add this implementation to the inspectors.
    clientRuntime.MessageInspectors.Add(this);
    public void ApplyDispatchBehavior(ServiceEndpoint endpoint, EndpointDispatcher endpointDispatcher)
    public void Validate(ServiceEndpoint endpoint)
    #endregion
    Also, There's a second signature being inserted into my WCF request that I need to replace with the SAML insertion - how do i get rid of the second signature?? (see updated request below)
