Create customer contact address in R12

Hi,
I want to create customer contact address through API in R12 but cant figure out how to do that.
I'm able to create contacts at site level but its the address which I'm not able to.

Recall what is created to have an "John Doe" as a Contact of a "Company XYZ":
- the "Company XYZ" is a Party of type Organization
- the "John Doe" is a Party of type Person
- Contact is a relationship between the "Company XYZ" party and the "John Doe" party
- The relationship itself is created as a Party of type Party Relationship
To associate an address for the contact, you need to create a Party Site for the Party Relationship Party. The party_id of the Party Relationship party is hz_party_relationships.party_id.

I assume you mean in contacts you want to add a custom label, not print a label as FoxFifth suggested!
Todo this click edit on the contact, then click the name of the field you wish to rename (there should be a red circle with a minus beside it)
A list comes up and at the bottom you can click "Add Custom Label" and type in the name.
Please note this doesn't work with Exchange servers

Create Contact Type in Create Customer contact screen of collections mgt

Hi All,
Can anyone please let me know if its possible to create a new contact type ( Currently we have four default types (Outbound call / Inbound Call / Visit to Customer / Visit from Customer) in the FSCM collections management, in the create customer contact screen.
If its possible to create a new contact type, please let me know where to do that.

You can add new contact types in the customizing table UDMV_CCT_TYPE.
With this you would be able to select the contact types you have
defined.
Please note that you can create entries in this table only with the
customer namespace i.e. prefix 'Z' to the contact type that you choose.
e.g. if you want to create a new entry in contact type say 'TEST' then
the entry in the customizing table should be as below:
Contact type | Name of contact type
Z03 | TEST
Another point to note here would be that for each entry that you create
in this table, the system displays 2 entries (1 for Inbound and 1 for
Outbound) in the contact type dropdown on the customer contact screen in the collection management system. This is as per the standard design
and it cant overridden.

Hello Avinav,
In CRM 6.0 and 7.0 GUI is no more used, you can use WEB UI and login using SALESPRO role to create a contact.
1. Logon to CRM web UI
2. Choose Create Contact from the Navigation bar
3. Enter all the data - Title, first name, last name, account id,
street, stree2, street3, street4, street5, city, postal code, email,
mobile no and website.
4. Press the Save key.

R12: How to create Customer contact at party/account-site level

Hello,
I am working on a customer conversion where the legacy system stores customer contact at the address id (i.e. party site) level.
Using various HZ APIs I have been able to create a party, customer account, location, party site, account site and account site use.
Now, I want to create contacts at the party site or account site level. Which API is used to create a contact? (I found a note 985500.1 but it shows creation of contact point such as a phone number or email but not the contact itself).
Any pointers appreciated.

BAPI Create Customer Contact

There is no problem to create a debtor with the BAPI: BAPI_CUISTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1 with parameters COMPANYDATA and COPYREFERENCE filled.
But is there a way to add a contact to the created debtor? Exists BAPIs to create and modify such a contact?

Hi Holger,
As far as I know there is no BAPI exits whats so ever to change or update the debtor!, However there are some non-Remote functions exits which might can change or update the Debtor.
Few months back I was also trying to change the debtor data but could'nt figure out any BAPI for that purpose!

Create new contact types for customer contact worklist

Hi,
I'm new to Collections Management and have been asked to add some new dropdown options to the Create Customer Contact screen, Contact Type field. The current options are 'Outbound Call', 'Inbound Call', 'Visit to Customer' and 'Visit from Customer'. This is viewable in the Worklist (tcode UDM_SUPERVISOR).
I've searched SPRO and thought it might be set in the Customer Service or Notification area but can't find it in either.
Any suggestions welcome.

Hi,
I am working on FSCM 6.4 Collection Management, while i tried to create customer contact and tried to get the contact information from get contact person from the process receivables it is showing blank, i can create it manually but by any means if i could see the contact information as it is available in FI-AR in general data, it is replicated from CRM business partner to FI. Please help me with standard procedure people adopt for the customer contact information in business partner collection management or credit management.

Also sent you another message and you are omnipresent in Collections (at least - as I am searching that only).
I am not able to sync ECC-Customer/Contact Person as FSCM-BP/Contact Perso.
And Contact Person doesn't appear in worklist.
Customer created/changed (with a Contact Person) is synced, but, fails when there is a Contact Person.
Seek you kind help.

Customer contact ( VAP1 ) add pager number with BDC

While creating Customer Contact for Pager number entry there is a POP alv , from where Pager need to be selected . while recording BDC it doesnt copy that Okcodes for the POP UP ALV .
So how to Add Pager number for mass upload .

This has been noted by a few people, must have been either a mistake or Blackberry's way of cutting down on the drug trade. Do drug dealers even use pagers anymore? Just kidding!
I would call the issue into your Carrier's Blackberry support team so that it gets officially recognized and fixed in a future release.
As a workaround for now I can suggest moving the pager numbers to any other type of telephone field.

Am trying to create customer contacts for BP in collection management through custom program where FDM_CCT_CREATE function module is used to create CCT details.
This report updates the data related to BP in UDM_CCT_ATTR table , but the contact data created is not reflected in Process receivables screen of selected worklist (of customer ) in UDM_SUPERVISOR transaction.
Can anyone help me on this? Is there any other way to create customer contacts or P2P ? As i need to upload this data from legacy system into SAP system.

I am not sure whether there is any primary contact, but the second point you mentioned about the owner or employee, you can use Job title field (this comes from the look table for look_type_code='RESPONSIBILITY' and view_application_id=222). You can add values there per you needs and track the contacts of the customer.

Populate contact's Work address with customer's address

The Work Address of a contact is not populating with the customer's address when the contact relationship is created.
Is this configured somewhere?

Address Book - Create multiple contacts at one company?

I am using Address Book v 4.0.4 and I want to be able to create multiple contacts at one company without having to reenter the Company, Tel. and Address information each time.
Is there a way to duplicate an address, say the basic company address, to make the process of entering multiple people at one company any faster?

I talked to Apple today and here is how you create multiple contacts at one address, company etc. without having to reenter everything.
1) In Address Book, highlight a contact in the name list
2) Go to the Edit Menu & COPY
3) Go back to the Edit Menu & PASTE
4) Make changes to the new 'duplicated' contact
Seems easy if you know how to do it.

Just realised that amongst the software is ibiz and have lost al my accounting and billing files for the last 7 years want to cry so losing my contacts now will really tip me over the edge!
