Create Goods Receipt PO from  AP Reserve Invoice (bug?)

Via the user interface of sap2005 pl7 you can create "Goods Receipt PO" from an "AP Reserve Invoice".
In the "base type" field of goods receipt the value "18" is displayed. This seems not to be a "valid value" and it is as a consequence not possible to read the contents of this field with the UI-API, because <i>base type</i> is a combo box and only valid values can be returned.
Is there a workaround to get a none valid value from a combobox?

    I want to have validation of the Unit Price field in Purchase Order, Goods Receipt PO and A/R Invoice documents.
    This means that user has to get some kind of message if she/he do not enter the Unit price in above mentioned documents.
    I can not use the price lists for this, to get the field populated automatically, because I do not have all the prices...

    Hello guys,
    I have tried to add this code to check if the field Unit Price was empty in the Purchase Order form (Object ID 22)
    But it gives me an error message - Error converting data type varchar to numeric (CINF)
    I am getting the same error message even if I have some value in the Unit Price field...
    I am really confused - what is wrong with it???

    Hi,
    In a program, we are trying to create Goods Receipt for Purchase Orders by calling the function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT. But it is just giving the error message "No goods receipt possible for purchase order & &". But we are not able to find out why it is giving this message. Could anyone please help me to resolve this error message.
    And for some Purchase Order items, it is giving the message "Batch Cannot Determined", please let me know why this error is coming for few items.

    BZZZZ Wrong. I purchased "Clocks" by Coldplay and it is not a plus version and I am getting the -42160 error. I closed and reopened iTunes and still it doesn't work. However 5 minutes earlier I successfully created a ringtone from another song I purchased. Go figure...

    We want to store the packing info for label printing.

  • DIAPI - Create Goods Receipt for Serial Number - on Release Only

    I need your advise to create Goods Receipt by using DIAPI, where the item is managed by Serial Number - on Release Only.
    The option that I'm exploring is to use ‘Automatic Serial Number Creation on Receipt’ turned on.
    In standard SAP function with the above setting, we can create a Goods Receipt without entering any Serial Number, and SAP will automatically creates empty Serial Number. I'm trying to do the same thing by using DIAPI with the below code.

    I was trying to simulate the issue here, but I couldn't post a good receipt PO even from the SAP itself with the setting you mentioned.
    I have set the management method as 'On Release' and ticked the Automatic serial number creation flag as well under general settings of inventory. Is that the setting you mentioned or something else?

         Is it possible to edit quantity field or add a new row to a goods receipt copied from a purchase order that has been approved ?
      if  this behavior was changed from past releases or it always was like that?

  • Bins problem while creating goods receipt for production order.

              I am facing a problem with selection of bins while creating goods receipt for production order in transaction MB31 and MBBE.
    The order of filling bins is with respect to storage Unit not by document no, Please suggest something.
    The scene is like that.

    Error Message:FOR OBJECT XABBELEGNR,NUMBER RANGE INTERVAL DOES NOT EXIST OM36.
    Do we need to create a number range object ??If yes,how and where to create ?

    Hi Deepti!
    There is only a valid interval missing, not the whole object.
    Maintenance can be done via transaction SNRO, enter your object XABBELEGNR in entry screen. (Alternatively use transaction OMJ6).
    Push button 'Number Ranges' and 'Change Intervals'. Here you can define an interval.

    Hi all
    AP Credit Note copied from AP Reserve Invoice cannot be posted with missing G/L account error.
    This is similar to error posting AP Reserve Invoice and fixed by SBO version 9 patch 10 in SAP Note 1893780.
    Now the error when posting AP Reserve Invoice is solved but cannot post when copied AP Reserve Invoice to AP Credit Note.

  • Network budget exceeded error while creating Goods receipt/Invoice

    I created project , wbs element, and network and released the project...i created a Po using this network...after that i went to CJ30 and allocated budget for WBS element..I activated availablity control check and define the tolerance limits for all transaction groups (++) with usage as 3(Error message) but i am not getting any error message while creating GRN/Invoice...what setting i have to made to check the budget availablity at the time of goods receipt creation and invoice creation....

    Question for you: I want to hide out Account Assignment Element for first 2 levels of WBS Element and i want to consider from 3rd level onwards for specific project profile.  Any Idea.

  • Error copying data from Goods Receipt PO to A/P Invoice

    Hi all, this seems like it should be a simple process. We get an error doing the following:
    - Open a blank A/P Invoice
    - Select the Vendor
    - Copy from Goods Receipt PO
    - Choose the items
    - Draw Document Wizard 'finish'
    The process aborts, and the system message that comes up is:
    'Business partner of copied down payment document must be the same as business partner of target document'
    Why is it saying this when it is the system that is choosing and presenting the items on the Goods Receipt PO that are associated with the Vendor??
    BTW: version 8.8 running on MS SQL Server 2008

    Yes, the message is clear, but the logic is not. 
    A blank A/P invoice is opened, and the business partner (Vendor) is selected. When the 'copy from' Goods Receipt PO is selected, a list of POs is displayed that are associated with the vendor. This info should then be copied back - there is no ability to select a differend business partner, and it is SAP that is making the association between the data. This is what is confusing.  If A/P Down Payment Invoice is selected for this process (rather than the A/P Invoice), the system copies that data across with no error message.
    Note: This is only a new system and the users are getting used to the SAP way of doing things. Could it be that they should be carrying out the workflow in a different way?

    You can use this method to create a material document for a goods movement.
    You can only create one material document each time you call up the method.
    You can use a simulation function before posting the goods movement to check how the data is updated in the database. The standard system is configured so that the goods movement is posted immediately without simulating beforehand.

    For 6 GM_Code 06: Reversal of goods movements
    You can use the Cancel method to reverse goods movements. But you may also want to cancel a goods movement without referring to a material document (see the Cancel method).
    If you want to work without referring to the document, you have to fill the field BAPI_GM_ITEM_CREATE-XSTOB in the interface (import table GOODSMVT_ITEM). In this case, the system converts the movement type assigned in the interface to the reversal movement type. Alternatively, you can set the reversal movement type in the interface. In this case, the BAPI_GM_ITEM_CREATE_XSTOB field must be transferred blank.
    If you want to cancel a goods movement with reference to a reservation (without using the Cancel method) you can only transfer the field BAPI_GM_ITEM_CREATE_XSTOB if it is filled. Movement types are not transferred when you post with reference to a reservation, as the movement type is contained in the reservation item.
    For 7. GM_Code 07: Subsequent adjustment to a subcontract order

    The following fields have to be filled:
    Unique identification of document line (can be assigned to anything)
    Posting date in document header
    Document number of purchasing document
    Item number of purchasing document
    Material number check
    Plant check
    Movement type (select movement type 121)
    Movement indicator (must be O)
    Further entries are not allowed. The entry quantity for the ordered material of a subcontract order must be zero.
    Components
    The following fields have to be filled:
    Unique identification of document line (can be assigned to anything)
    Identification of the immediately superior line
    Plant
    Material number check
    Quantity in unit of entry; can also be negative
    The following fields can be filled:
    Storage location
    All other fields in the method that are included in this list.
    The following fields may not be filled:
    All fields that are not in the list above. The movement indicator must be blank.

    Additional fields in goods-receipt-based invoice verification
    When you post a subsequent adjustment, the following fields must also be transferred:
    REF_DOC_IT (LFPOS): Item of a reference document
    REF_DOC (LFBNR): Document number of a reference document
    REF_DOC_YR (LFBJA): Fiscal year of a reference document
    Only when you transfer these fields is it guaranteed that the reference to the original goods movement stays the same.

  • Missing fields in Goods Receipt PO from SAP SDK after upgrade

    Hi there,
    I am using VB.net 2003 with SAP 2005 PL 20 and SQL 2005
    We have upgraded the Patch level of SAP 2005 from Patch Level 4 to Patch Level 20.
    After the upgrade I executed the same source on the new Patch level the SDK didn't pick up existing fields that was used in my source.
    I have commented the lines out and the Good Receipt PO is created again.
    I am not sure what the fields where for or if they are still being used but they are not available in the SDK.
    Please can someone let me know what the fields are for and why they are not available in the SDK?

    I am busy with the upgrade of the Patch levels in the correct order to see if this will sort ou tmy problem.
    Do you think that this will have an impact on the UnitPrice field in the system not being able to be populated through the SDK ?
    This will be on the creation of the Delivery Note / Goods Receipt PO and Goods Receipt.
    P.S. I have checked the Calculate via UnitPrice field in the Settings.
