  • Error while creating document with attachment.

    Hi,
    I am getting an error "An error occured while creating the original attribute for PDF"
    I tried with out file attachment, it works as you know it is simple....
    I tried with various types of attachments like .TXT and .WRD (changed both wsapplication and docfile parameters), however i get the same error. I tried both from presentation and application server (by providing   pf_ftp_dest                = 'SAPFTPA'    pf_http_dest               = 'SAPHTTPA' )
    Any idea on how to solve this?
    All i need is create a DMS document with a PDF attachment from application server. Are there any other ways to solve this issue?

    Hi ,
    There is an option of embedding index for faster search while converting email to a PDF .
    However I am not sure that will serve your purpose or not .
    I would recommend you to get in touch with Microsoft support as well .
    Meanwhile I'll work on it and get back to you in case I get a desired solution .

  • Sending (imap) email draft with attachment created on computer from iphone

    Here's one situation:
    I type up an email and attach an excel file to it, then save it as a draft (in my @me.com drafts).
    The draft email is now visible in the drafts folder on all of my devices: apple mail on my computer that I originally used, my iphone mail drafts, and also by signing on to www.me.com and opening my mail drafts.
    one problem is when you open up an email draft on me.com that was created on a computer mail.app, only to see the message body text lose all of its formatting and appear to be jumbled html.
    My main concern / question is:
    The email draft with attachment appears to be in tact on me.com and on the original computer, but NOT on the iphone. On the iphone, the attachment seems to disappear. Well, not disappear, because it gets replaced by a small rectangle with a blue question mark in it. Basically you cannot view the attachment on the iphone. When you try to send this draft from the iphone, it works, but with jumbled text & no attachment.
    Does anyone have similar problems???

    You are correct about the iDisk app as I have started to use that a little bit more for the sharing purposes.
    However my concern wasn't over the simple task of getting excel files onto the iPhone. It's the fact that email attachments that are either in drafts, OR ALSO if you move a message (with an attachment) into an IMAP email folder, are completely lost when it comes to viewing or sending them from the iPhone. It's stupid - the attachments are still there on my computer (and I think they are still there on the me.com mail viewer as well).
    Sometimes I move certain important work emails (that have attachments) into an IMAP email folder so they can be accessed from anywhere. The fact that the iPhone shows the paperclip and placeholder bit not the actual file is maddening. At least If the attachment was actually SENT from the iPhone, I wouldn't even care about not being able to view it (or even view the File name that is also lost).

  • HOW TO SEND A HEBREW EMAIL WITH ATTACHMENT USING DEMO_MAIL

    Hello All,
    This is Not a question , just attaching something I've implemented and might be interesting for few of us,
    This package I'm attaching allows to send Hebrew Language email + attaching files to it.
    This package is based on demo_mail package (combined here but you can search at google for more example information if needed).
    My Package is supplied as is , for any specific information regarding it , please contact me directly at : [email protected] or POST here.
    * Please also note , that this package allow file to be attach via URL (meaning you will have to define a link to this file, if you would like to implement a link to a local file , e.g : c:\temp\myfile , you will have to customize the package your self with database directories option etc ...)
    First I will attach an example of how to use it :
    ==================================
    begin
    demo_mail_heb.send_html_mail_attach(p_sender => '[email protected]',
    p_recipients => '[email protected]',
    p_subject => 'שלום וברכה עולם',
    p_data => '<hr><b>בוקר טוב</b><hr>',
    p_file_name => 'but_choose_file.gif',
    p_file_mime_type => 'application/pdf',
    p_file_URL => 'http://10.172.246.160:7777/i/but_choose_file.gif');
    end;
    Second Here is the Package (please note you will have to modify few settings in order to enable it , such as mail server address ..etc)

    I followed your directions and closed all open files including "spySweeper" and "Norton". I went to "run" and entered %appdata% and
    deleted "Adobe" NOTE: there was another file titled AdobeUM which I did not delete. I opened Adobe Elements and went to File->New
    ->Photomerge Panorama and immediately
    got
    Error 1: Unable to create Window
    -Internal error.
    Line: 364

    I tried this several times from both the edit screen and the screen that shows the individual images and always got the same results

    I have tried your suggested solution several times and it does not work......fortunately I have found another product that does work
    and have moved on to it. I would like to know what is causing the problem particularly since a "lot" of other users are reporting
    the same problem on the Internet.

    Hello John,
    Thank you for contacting Adobe® Web Support for assistance with Adobe
    Photoshop® Elements 7.0.
    I received your images and was able to reproduce your problem on my
    machine several times and also triggered the same error even after
    resaving the images using the "Save for Web" function.
    Interestingly, after deleting the program's preferences, I was able to
    use Photomerge successfully on your images and could not reproduce the
    error.
    Try the following and see if these steps fix the issue for you as well:
    1. Close all open programs.
    2. Click on Start > Run.
    3. In the run dialog field, type: "%appdata%" [without the quotes].
    4. Delete the Adobe folder shown there (this will delete all Adobe
    software preferences and settings).
    5. Close the window.
    6. Launch Photoshop Elements Editor and try using the Photomerge command
    on your images again.
    The files are being forwarded to our engineers to see if they can
    isolate why these images may corrupt or damage Photoshop Elements'
    preferences and settings.
    I hope this information helps to resolve your issue. If you require
    further assistance with this issue, please update your web case with
    complete details, including what steps you have applied and any error
    messages you are receiving.
    You may also call Technical Support at (800) 642-3623. We are available
    from 6:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday - Friday, Pacific Time.

    Hello John,
    Thank you for contacting Adobe® Web Support for assistance with Adobe

    I understand that even after using “Save For Web” that you got the same
    error message when you attempted to use Photomerge.
    I checked the attachments on the case and did not see the files that I
    suggested you upload for our engineers to examine.

    Will this help?
    Notes from Customer

    I tried the work around with the "save for web" and got the same message:
    Error 1: Unable to create Window
    -Internal error.
    Line: 364
    -> var w = new Window(res);
    I can't believe with as many people as are having this problem that Adobe had not developed a solution and released it as a "bug" fi
    x. I see that it is also a problem for people using Elements 8 and I can not imagine that is a very good endorsement for your new p
    roduct.

    Hello John,
    Thank you for contacting Adobe® Web Support for assistance with Adobe
    Photoshop® Elements 7.0.
    I understand that when you attempt to use the Photomerge feature in
    Photoshop Elements that you immediately get the errors:
    Error 1: Unable to create Window
    - OS error:[1400]
    Line: 364
    -> var w = new Window(res);
    We have seen customer reports of this error and have the matter under
    investigation.
    Currently, it has been determined to be image specific and isolated to
    problems processing the metadata in some images.
    Our software engineers have been unable to isolate the exact issue with
    these problematic images' metadata and have requested that people who
    have images exhibiting this behavior be asked to upload them via the
    Adobe Support Portal so that they can be examined.
    Fortunately, we also do have a potential workaround that may allow you
    to merge your images.
    Try the following:
    1. Open your images in Photoshop Elements Editor.
    2. Save each one using the "Save for Web" command available in the File
    menu in JPG format with the quality set to "High".
    [This will remove all metadata from the images]
    3. Close Photoshop Elements Editor and all open images.
    4. Open the images that you just removed the metadata from using "Save
    for Web" and use Photomerge on them.
    I hope this information helps to resolve your issue. If you require
    further assistance with this issue, please update your web case with
    complete details, including what steps you have applied and any error
    messages you are receiving.

    Hello John,
    Thank you for contacting Adobe® Web Support for assistance with Adobe
    Photoshop® Elements 7.0.
    I understand that when you try to use the Panorama function in Elements,
    you receive a message “unable to create window.”
    Does this problem happen when you are trying to merge specific images or
    does it happen with all images?
    What size are the images you are trying to merge? What dimensions, dots
    per inch, and file type are the images?
    How many images are you trying to merge? Do you have the same problem
    if you try merging just two images?
    Make sure when you are going to do the photomerge that any extra
    programs are closed. The merging process is rather memory intensive so
    the less programs running at once, the better.
    Try to resize each of the photos to a smaller size, and then retry the
    command.
    If you receive the error when saving a panorama, try flattening the file
    (use the Layer>Flatten Image command), or save the panorama in the
    smaller, JPEG format.
    I hope this information helps to resolve your issue. If you require
    further assistance with this issue, please update your web case with
    complete details, including what steps you have applied and any error
    messages you are receiving.

    When I try to use the panaroama function I get this message
    Error 1; unable to create window
    -Internal error
    Line; 364
    -> var w = new Window(res);
    I have tried all the solutions from the forum and they do not work. I even bought a new copy of the program, but no luck.
    The function worked before and then stoped working (I had a downloaded version of release 7) That prompted me to buy the new copy A
    LL COPIES WERE PURCHASED BY ME
    Operating System: Windows XP Home
    Has it ever worked? If so, what's changed? (provide comments in description field): Yes
    Same results with different file?: Yes
    Same results with different computer?: Not Applicable
    Recent System Hardware or Software change?: No

    I have recently started having this problem in PSE8. The Adobe workaround
    did work, but I don't fancy having to re register each time I use it.
    What I have discovered is that it's nothing to do with the image metadata as it occurs before any image is opened.
    It SEEMS to only occur if you use file/open with to open an image in the editor - IE start PSE with that command.
    If you close elements down, and start it using programs/PSE/Elements (or your desktop shortcut) - the panorama feature magically works.
    Each time I've opened the editor 'automatically' using image/open with, it seems to create the problem.
    Hope this helps

  • What are right parameter types of ODCIIndexInsert in case of creating indextype WITH ARRAY DML option (documentation mismatch)

    Hello.
    During developing Domain Index for Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 (problem also appears in 12с) i was faced with misunderstanding of parameter types of function
    ODCIIndexInsert in case of creating indextype  WITH ARRAY DML option
    According to Oracle documentation
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e10765/ext_idx_ref.htm#i76892
    In case of  WITH ARRAY DML option Oracle will invoke ODCIIndexInsert with following signature
    FUNCTION ODCIIndexInsert(
      ia ODCIIndexInfo,
      ridlist ODCIRidList,
      newvallist varray_of_column_type,
      env ODCIEnv)
    RETURN NUMBER
    In my case indexed column has datatype NUMBER so i defined varray_of_column_type as SYS.ODCINumberList
    STATIC FUNCTION ODCIIndexInsert(ia in sys.ODCIIndexInfo, ridlist in sys.ODCIRidList,  newvallist in sys.ODCINumberList, env in SYS.ODCIEnv) RETURN NUMBER
    Indextype was created as
    CREATE INDEXTYPE test_index_type
    FOR
    test_eq(number, number)
    USING index_methods
    WITH ARRAY DML(number, sys.ODCINumberList)
    WITH LOCAL RANGE PARTITION
    WITH SYSTEM MANAGED STORAGE TABLES;
    or
    CREATE INDEXTYPE test_index_type
    FOR
    test_eq(number, number)
    USING index_methods
    WITH ARRAY DML
    WITH LOCAL RANGE PARTITION
    WITH SYSTEM MANAGED STORAGE TABLES;
    (problem occurs in all cases)
    CREATE TABLE test_table (id NUMBER (19,0));
    CREATE INDEX test_index ON test_table(id) INDEXTYPE IS test_index_type;
    When attempting to insert data in the table
    insert into test_table values (1);
    oracle raise exception
    Error starting at line 53 in command:
    insert into test_table values (1)
    Error at Command Line:53 Column:1
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-29925: cannot execute SCOTT.INDEX_METHODS.ODCIINDEXINSERT
    ORA-06553: PLS-306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'ODCIINDEXINSERT'
    ORA-06553: PLS-306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'ODCIINDEXINSERT'
    29925. 00000 -  "cannot execute %s"
    *Cause:    The specified function does not exist or does not have an
               appropriate signature.
    *Action:   Implement the function with the appropriate signature.
    So my question is.
    Is it normal behavior  of oracle (according to documentation)?
    What is correct signature of ODCIIndexInsert function in case of INDEXTYPE creation with 'WITH ARRAY DML' option and fact that indexed column has NUMBER datatype?
    By the way if i define indextype without 'WITH ARRAY DML' option signature is clear, and working. But this approach doesn't satisfies our performance needs.
    Also if i define index type with option 'WITH ARRAY DML WITHOUT COLUMN DATA' and use signature
    static function ODCIIndexInsert(ia sys.odciindexinfo,   ridlist sys.odciridlist, env sys.ODCIEnv) return number
    Everything works too. But this approach doesn't satisfies our business needs.
    Is it a way to define ODCIIndexInsert  parameter types (in case of indexing number column)  so that batch inserting works according to documentation ?
    FUNCTION ODCIIndexInsert(
          ia ODCIIndexInfo,
          ridlist ODCIRidList,
          newvallist varray_of_column_type,
          env ODCIEnv)
    I am attaching full sql script to recreate environment and reproduce the problem.

  • Sending Mail with attachment from WD

    Hi all,
    I wan't to send an email from webdynpro with an attached pdf-document. I had a look at Tutorial 31, but i will only use the first part, sending email with attached interactive form. So I decided to build a new project. I did everything as in the tutorial described, but when entering the following code into the wdDoInit method from the SendView an error occurs.
    //@@begin wdDoInit()
         //     @TODO Enter your email address for the setFrom and setTo methods by replacing the text in angle brackets.
         wdContext.currentEmailElement().setFrom("[email protected]");
         wdContext.currentEmailElement().setTo("[email protected]");
         wdContext.currentEmailElement().setCc("");
         wdContext.currentEmailElement().setBcc("");
         wdContext.currentEmailElement().setSubject("Travel Request Form");
         wdContext.currentEmailElement().setBody("BlaBlaBla");
        //@@end
    In the coding is no error. In the Context node of the SendView I created a new value node with the value attributes. When writing the code and using strg+space i can complete automatically, so no writing errors.
    When deploying and running the application I get always a NullPointerException, if make no difference if i delete one entry or which line of code i insert, the same error.
    java.lang.NullPointerException

    I've compared my project with the one from tutorial but i found no differences.
    Have anybody have an idea what to do?
    Thanks
    Mathias

    Hi,
    NullpOinter excepttion could be bcose of "currentEmailElement()".
    Please create an element of EmailNode before these statements.
    IPrivate<ViewName>.IEmailElement ele=wdContext.createEmailElement();
    wdContext.NodeEmail().addElement(ele);
    You can use the following for sending attachments :
    BodyPart messageBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
    messageBodyPart.setText(Attachment);
    Multipart multipart = new MimeMultipart();
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    messageBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
    DataSource source = new FileDataSource(Attachment);
    messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(source));
    messageBodyPart.setFileName(Attachment);
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    msg.setContent(multipart);

    Ok, I have made something similar to which your you want to do.
    Before to send a e-mail you have to upload the file, and later you can attach it into the e-mail.
    To upload the file:
    I made it with a jsp file (has a form) where I call to a java servlet how upload the file:
    package ServletUpload;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.*;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.disk.DiskFileItemFactory;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.servlet.ServletFileUpload;
    public class uploadFichero extends HttpServlet {
        public void init(ServletConfig config) throws ServletException{
            super.init(config);
        protected void processRequest(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
        throws ServletException, IOException {
            response.setContentType("text/html");
            PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
            out.println("<html>");
            out.println("<head>");
            out.println("<title>Servlet</title>");
            out.println("</head>");
            out.println("<body>");
            out.println("We began the processing of the file");
            boolean uploaded = false;
            uploaded = procesaFicheros(request,out);
            if (true==uploaded)
                out.println("File uploaded");
            else
                out.println("Error to upload File");
            out.println("</body>");
            out.println("</html>");
            out.close();
        public boolean procesaFicheros(HttpServletRequest req, PrintWriter out ) throws ServletException, IOException {
            try {
