Create pop-up window before submitting the page under some condition

I am a newbie on APEX. Anyone can help with the folowing scenario?
After validation, in some condition (PL/SQL), I am trying to create a pop-up window with "save" and "cancel" button. If user select "save", it will go to process the page (save the record), if user chooses "cancel", it will stay on the original screen.
Anyway I can do it?

Do you mean you would like to have something like when you click on the delete button?
A popup to confirm?
Otherwise in APEX you've conditions, so you can select for the process for which button it needs to fire. Same for the branches (after the processes where the page is going to).

I searched the "old" forum and have very good help from UVSAR but unfortunately I'm not able to access my message sent to that forum anymore.

I've have never use Java scripts in my life: I started about three days ago.
1) I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro X (Windows 7)
2) I've created a form using Microsoft Word and save it as a pdf file.
3) After I created a form using Acrobat Pro X;
3.1.) This form it's not going to be submitted over Internet. It will be send by e-mail to some persons. They will receive it, fill in the form and send it back to me via e-mail. Note: I will save it with extended rights in order to allow to be read with acrobat reader (I'm the only one of the group having Professional edition).
4) In that form I've created some text fields (for now it's just what I need - no radio buttons, dropdown
menus, and so...)
5) Choosed Properties and marked 7 fields as "required";
6) Used a script I found in here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/784322 (thank you for the authors of the thread)

7) This script allows me to remember people to fill that 7 specific fields (when using mouse or tab).
8) So... What I really need? Here are the reasons for my request for help:
8.1.) When people use the Acrobat Reader Save button (not a button I created inside the form) it will pop up an alert message. Users will receive a pop up window telling them they need to fill those fields before saving the form and send it back to me. Can someone share a script, please? Thanks in advance.
8.2.) Is there a way to colorize the fileds that need to be filled? Again I only learned where to insert a java script yestaerday sou I'm not able to write one. I'm sorry for my newbie questions.
8.3.) Last question: In one of the fields there will be an e-mail address. On the end of the form I want to create a button like "Send by e-mail" and When someone press that button the e-mail will be sent to the address that was written in the earlier specific field. How can I do this (link a button to an e-mail address in a specific field)? Can someone help me with a script or ideas? Hope I was clear.
8.1.) UVSAR sent me the following code that works fine untill I save the document for the first time. Affter that he never shows me pop up window again.

Hi ACI wonder if you can share any responses on to your question above?I too have never used a script but, I have the same problems as you in regards to building a form. And wants to have the same 'protection' and message reminders for the end users. Any information, including a script and/or a contact email of experts you can share with me will help tremendously. It is a 2010 macbook pro but i recentrly updated to osx lion and even with lion it was working fine so I nkow it is not the update. also Im able to connect to other internets at home it works great. starbucks too. but i became so frustated that i reset my computer to manufactuter setting and reinstall snow leopard on it. still I cant connect. I need help please i have been searching all over the web for help and i see people has been having this same problem for years now.. oh yeah and i know it is not the internet cuz there are other macs connecting to it without a single problem so i think it is an isolated problem plase help....i have follow many advises such as delete the internet from your prefered netwoks. restar your commputer etc etc.

Apparently now Mozilla creates new versions of their browser and email apps every two weeks instead of just creating updates... I'm tired of all of the pop-up requests for these constant installation requests and all the problems that the new version installations create... I just want to use the software and be left alone.
I can't find a way to make Firefox and Thunderbird stop with the pop-up requests for new installations... is there a way to do this or has Mozilla just got it rigged so one can't just use the software without re-installing a new version every two weeks and running in to new plugin issues and missing features every time?

Hi All,
I found the solution for this. I have created a new page. Then i created an item as link item style in the parent page and i have set the following properties in the Link item:
Destination URI : OA.jsp?page=/seagate/oracle/apps/seasoa/que/webui/SeaSoaHeaderDetailPG&headerId={@ErrHeaderId}&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y&backPage=S
Target Frame : _blank
This is opening the new child window without closing the parent window.

I get a pop-up window when I go to view some pages.

When I try to view gmail or search something using yahoo.com I get a pop-up window that says the following:

Sometimes I get other numbers and I have to click ok or try to close the pop-up window several times before it finally goes off the screen.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

You can always add a search portlet - Basic,Advanced,Custom
- which will give you the link to the respective searched items.

I have use case like,
In the search page I have 2 LOV dropdowns say LOV1 and LOV2. Both list of values are created based on the independent View Objects based on the Query.
LOV2 VO query is having the Bind Variable, for that Bind variable will be getting the value from the one of the AM method based on the user logged in.
Also I need to display LOV2 dropdown in the page when user selects LOV1 as a 'SCM', for others it should be in hidden state.
As per requirement I have to display LOV2 only for LOV1 value as 'SCM'. So I dont want to use valueChangeListner() for this.
Instead I want populate LOV2 value before page rendering(because in that time i will be having all the parameter to populate ) by executing LOV2 VO Query.
Once in search page user selects LOV1 as 'SCM', I should display 'LOV2' values in the dropdown.
If i execute LOV2 VO in the AMImpl method say A() before page rendering ,then if user select LOV1 as 'SCM', will same data available in the dropdown (LOV2 dropdown is based on the LOV2VO)??
Can u pls suggest me how can i render ,LOV2 when LOV1 as 'SCM' by using 'rendered' property without having valueChangeListner??
pls suggest me the right approach as per my use case..

Your solution is perfect if the UIX beans on the page do not have BC4J binding with a VO attribute, otherwise, Sumit's soution is appropriate.

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

What is the event to handle before leaving the page?

I am using splitApp. I have a scenario where user can edit few fields in one of the "Detail" page. When user clicks some item in master page, before changing the detail page I want to show a popup to user if changes should be saved.
Is there an event where I get to know any detail page navigation? or some event to handle before leaving the page.

Hi Rashmi,
It depends on which element you are using.
Suppose you are using sap.ui.commons.TextField where you are editing your data(In Detail View) then change event is triggered whenever the text in the field has changed AND the focus leaves the TextField or the Enter key is pressed and you can use this event in your code according to your need.
Here you may set some global variable and check that value if it is set or not.

Pop up window goes to the back of the main window in Swings on Solaris 10

I am using a Swing Application using Java 1.6 on Solaris 10 machine.
Whenever I click on the button which pops up another window, it always goes to the back of the main window.
Then I ll ve to minimize the main window to make the pop-up window get the focus.
I am using Exceed to open up Swing application.
But when the same application is run on Windows XP machine, the problem does not come up.
i.e. Pop-up window always get the focus and is visible above the main window.
Please help to figure out whether this is an issue with Solaris 10 machines or with java 1.6.
