Create with Dynpro-Technology an  SAP Transaction

Hello Experts!
Imagine, I want to try create any SAP transaction
lets say e.g. SalesDistribution's VA01 or any other transaction
with the WebDynpro-Technology. In order to assure the 100 percent
guarantee of correctly working of this transaction with WebDynpro,
normally I have to copy really each coding line or to use really exact
the same methods and their calls like SAP original. It s must be
kind of constructing an airbus.
Suppose every logic every screen, every subscrenn.
How can I can realize such a monster job easier.
Is  there any known relief existing
to do such things much more easier. For small applications
with a call of two or three Bapi's through
Adaptive RFC it is very helpful, but in case of recreating
transactions through  WebDynpro-Technology ???

Sas,
If you really have a requirement for this Monster Project, you can probably do that.
But SAP Documentation says Web Dynpro use for UI Development with little coding. It is not advised to keep all the bussiness logic. Usually this business logic goes to the backend system, may be SAP.
All the business logic is already there in the SAP R/3. It is advisable to call directly BAPI , with Adapative RFC Model or Web Service model.
It is just my thinking.

  • There is a lot of e-learning educational courses that were created with flash technology that works great.  Why doesn't Apple adjust their ipad operating system so it is compatible with accepting flash courses?

To have to recreate courses in html5 just for apple mobile products is not practical.

Has anyone tried this with flash elearning courses?
Since the effectiveness of so-called Flash browsers on iOS depends on compatibility with the specific source material, there is really no way anyone could effectively advise you on this. The only way to find out it to try it.

  • Create Display Authorization Profile for SAP Transaction SPRO (IMG).

Any one is having an experience in creating display profile for SPRO (IMG) ? If any one has worked on this issue then please guide me.
    Thanks,
    Avinash

    Hi
This is security related question. I am not security expert.
But you can check this, Include the following authorization objects in the profile and assign this profile to the target user.
    S_IMG_ACTV
    S_PROJECT
    S_PROJ_AUT
    S_PRO_AUTH
and assign activity = 03 (Display).
    Hoipe it helps.

  • Creation of "Web Dynpro for Java"  for SAP transaction

    Hi All,
In EP when we create SAP transaction iView for SAP transaction,
a)ITS server is required if we choose SAP GUI Type as WebGui(Performance wise as well as some other issues)
b)SAP GUI has to be installed if we choose SAP GUI Type as WinGui.(User has to install SAP GUI).
Can we overcome these two issues by creating Web Dynpro application for SAP transaction in quicker way. Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gangadharayya.

    Hi,
It is not possible to display a transaction directly in a java web dynpro. If you do not want to use a transaction iview the only other possibility is to create a web dynpro that uses BAPI's as models.

  • Calling SAP Transaction from WDA

    Hi,
We have a peculiar requirement of calling SAP Standard Transaction from Web Dynpro ABAP.Well, we tried achieving this using the Transactional iview. On click of appropiate link/button in my applicaiton, I can call the Transactional iview. But the problem is, I could not pass on the data from WDA Application to Transactional iview. I need some inputs in handling such cases.
The case might look something similar to PCR's final updation(like after all approvals of PCRs, the final Administrator executes the workitem which in turn calls the Notification Maintenance and this in turn calls the PA40 passing the data from Adobe form(XML data) to PA40 txn. Like this, After all my approvals, I would like to call the SAP Transaction passing the data from WDA Application. Hope I am clear.

  • SAP Transaction in iView

Hi. I would like to bring a SAP Transaction into an iView and using SAP GUI for Java. I manage to create an iView based on SAP Transaction iView template delivered with the portal. However, when the iView was launched, it shows:
“Error connecting to host x.x.x.x, service 3200 timed out
    Component NI(network interface), version 35
    rc=-12, module nixxi.c, line 821
    Detail NiPConnect”
Any ideas? Is there a way to set a longer time out value? oh, and we are currently on EP5.
    thanks.

    Hi
Why do not you try Win GUI?
I already tried the same thing and it is not working with me when I used Java GUI, but it is working fine when I used Win GUI.

  • How to cancel enternal list create with ELM

Dear Expert, i need an information.
I use ELM (transaction CRMD_MKTLIST) to upload lead in CRM.
Is there the possibility to cancel from the system  an external list created with CRMD_MKTLIST  ? In the transaction there isn't the possibility ti  do it(only to create ) . Are there other transaction ? Any function module ? Any report ?
    Thank you in advance
    Davide Grosso

    Hi Davide,
There is only one scanrio where you are able to delete the Master Data that was created by ELM and this is if you have selected the "rented" flag for your upload. If you have done this, you will be able use the Delete External List function.
Further details can be found below.

  • SAP Transaction via WinGUI

    Hi,
we have got the following issues with the build in SAP Transaction iView:
If you create a SAP Transaction iView using the iView Wizard the WinGUI is displayed within the portal frameset. The "Create a new session" button is disabled.
    - Is it possible to display the WinGUI as common as a separate window?
    - Is it possible to enable the "Create a new session" button?
    Best Regards
    Mike

    Hi,
You can display the Page in another Window by setting "Launch in New Window" to the value 'Display in Separated Window' but <b>it will still be embedded in a browser window</b> !
As far as I know, even doing this, it won't enable the "Create a new session" button.
What you would need is to launch the SAP GUI rich client from the Portal in a separated process... Does someone know how to do that out there ?
    Best regards,
    Guillaume

  • Monitoring of availability of SAP transactions

    Hello!
We would like to monitor whether or not the end users can access to specific transactios (e.g. within FI, CO or MM area).
So when the users cannot access these transactions codes a automatic notification (e.g. mail, sms) should be generated.
We already implemented CCMSPING agent, but this approach does not fulfill our requirements.
SAP Solution Manager 7.1 implements several approaches for the availability of transactions.
Has some one experience with the monitoring of SAP transactions and which of the following methods can be recommended?
    1) Entry in the table ALTRAMONI on the managed system/CCMS
    2) Business Process Monitoring
    3) End User Experience Monitoring
Any helpful information will be very appreciated!

    Hello
1)Yes. You need to. Actually many solution mananger scenario start using the SMD agent.
So you can consider installing the agent to your managed system is more or less "must to do activity for the solman itself".
It is not only for the RCA function any more. Others like EEM, BPMon <analytics>, DVM Cockpit, others also require it.
Because different applications use extractor framework.
2)EEM. First you need to record the script. GUI operation or browser based operation. (Both supported)
Then upload the script and deploy it to the some mashine (PC) near to your frontend.
Then the mashine execute script regulary (called robot).
So in your local pc (where you execute the script) regulary), you also need to install agent to execute script regulary.
Just normal PC is ok for htis purpose.
Last question. I am not sure... Hope other people can answer.
    best regards

  • Cannot launch SAP Transaction from Guided Procedures

I created a Callable Object that is linked to a SAP Transaction.
When I test it by Execute-ing, I got a browser prompt to Save or Cancel the "xxxxxxx.sapssd" file.
How can I get it to launch the SAP Transaction?
    TIA.

    Hi,
Kinldy ensure that you used the following process to create the Callable Object
    - Select the Parent Folder to Create Callable Object in GP Design Time
    - Click on 'Create Callable Object' in the Action Items for Gallery
    - In the Create Callable Object Step, choose 'SAP Transaction' option under 'User Interface'
    - Provide the Basic Data in Basic Data Section
    - In 'Define Object' step, provide the SAP System name as created in the SLD. Mostly the Alias name is displayed in the list. Also provide the default Transaction you wanted to execute.
    - In the 'Define Input' Section, you can optionally provide the input parameters. Leave it blank to make it simple.
    - In the 'Set Configuration' section, check the 'Execute Immediately'
    - Finally Finish and Open the Callable Object for testing.
Following the above process should help you launch the SAP Transaction in a separate browser window.
After verifying the above steps, should you still have a problem, then it would be helpful if you can provide the steps you followed in order to replicate the problem.
    Thanks
    Siva

  • Does each SAP transaction iview create a log on to the backend ECC?

    Hi,
If I put multiple SAP transaction iviews in a role, each pointing to a different SAP transaction in the same backend system, does the launch of each iview create a new logon in the backend system when using SAP logon tickets?  If so, is it possible to make it only launch a new session if one logon has already been created?
    Regards
    Cindy

    Hello Cindy,
launching of diffrent Transactio Iview form same back end is quite similar as loged in to backend with Proper credentials and opening diffrent transaction's by useing
    /oxx(Transaction Name)
Hope it will add to ur knowladge.

  • Calling a Standard SAP transaction VA03 from another web dynpro application

    Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I need to call the standard SAP transaction VA03 whenever a sales order is selected in some other we dynpro application so that the sales order gets displayed.
No regarding usage of OBN for the above functionality I have certain queries:
    1. In order to call VA03 do I need to create a transactional iview for it or is there any direct method. Also how to pass this sales order number as parameter to the T.Code.
    2. Can we use standard business object BUS2032 for OBN or a new Business object is created. What exactly is the purpose of these standard business objects in portal and when should they be used.
    Thanks in advance
    Aman Gupta

Hi Aman - Do you have a portal team in your project or you have to create the IVIEWS yourself?
I do have a portal team and I dont know how they create the IVIEWs but for example, I will go to my portal team and I will ask them to create an IVIEW for TCODE VA03, they will created and they will tell me the input parameters they entered for the IVIEW so I can call OBN and display in webdynpro.
SAP in SRM has webdynpro e.g. for BUS2121 and they have an IVIEW already implemented in the portal context pointing to the webdynpro of BUS2121 so we can used the IVIEW by calling OBN and passing the parameters; in my case the object_type will be 'shc' and the operation will be 'display' and the paremeters itab will be the GUID of my shopping cart, that way the OBN can understand which Shopping cart open and in which operation mode.
I also did something like your requirement, I need it to display a specific case in Records Management but SAP has a standard IVIEW for records management 'RMREGEDIT' that didn't work for my requirement so I went to SE38 created a program that displayed the case based on GUID and I created a TCODE of my custom program. Portal team created a custom IVIEW of my custom TCODE and they told me the input parameters to call the TCODE in OBN and I pass in the itab parameter the GUID of the case using the FM that I post before.
The action to call the OBN is in the event handler ON_CLICK of my ALV and the action is getting trigger when the user actually clicks a HYPERLINK in the ALV.
    Hope this helps you!
Please feel free to ask me more details if you need.

  • Link to URL should call a SAP transaction through URL with params

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where I need to open a SAP Transaction MM03 on click of a link in a webdynpro application.
I feel that I can call it using a URL but not sure of how the URL should look like.
If I can pass the Params with the OKCodes etc this should work.
Could you please let me know how to do that.
Just to be clear the transaction should open as a new window and its not in portal So i cant use Portal Navigation(relative or absolute).
Please do suggest me how to do this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sirisha.RS

    Hi Srisha,
What i can suggest  you is to create a SAP Transaction iView and attach it to role where user can access and make the iview  invisible in navigation. In Webdynpro code  access the transaction by following way :
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/......<SAP Tran iView Path>",WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_EXTERNAL,
                   (String) null,
                   (String) null,
         WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,
                   (String) null,
                   (String) null,
                   <parameters to be passed to transaction> );
    Hope it helps !!!
    Good Luck,
    Vasu
