Creating a library and use it

Hi all,
I'm new in Java (but not with other programming languages).
I have created some util classes, compiled them successfully and put them in a jar file.
suppose i'm writing a program that call some classes of that compiled library.
What do i must to do to compile my program (without having the message class not found) and without unzipping my jar file.
any small example will be appreciated.

you will have to but these files of yours into some package, then optionaly jar that package and then add these classes/that jar into your class path...
and that's it.
suppose you do this:
create file Utility.class that's in myutil package, then jar it to something.jar and later when you try to execute your other program, then inculde something.jar with commandline option:
java -cp path_to_something/something.jar MyOtherProgram
or add your .jar to class path
or copy your .jar to location were all extentions of jdk lie...

If not you're into using file recovery software like File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

I believe when you plug her old iPhone in to your computer it will notify you that the phone is synced with another library and ask if you want to register it with your library. At least this is how iPods work. I'm not sure about iPhones. If you want to actually use the phone as your own you may need to go through AT&T.
If you're just looking to use the iPhone as an iPod (without the phone portion of it) you may run in to some problems. The iPhone really wants to be on a cell network all the time. I think you'd have to jailbreak it to get it to work properly as an iPod.
Let us know what happens when you plug the phone in to your computer.

You need to write down BDC for mass update of RFQ, because BAPI is not available.

Is it possible for Apple Time Capsule place iphoto library and use it with my macbook pro & macbook air? How about the simultaneous use? Will I as well open it in my ipad and iphoto?

Creating multiple libraries and using an external drive for data

I'm a recent switcher and new to iphoto. On the windows platform, I used adobe album. I have a around 10k of images that I put on an external drive which is attached to my new imac. I deleted the iphoto folder and redirected it to my images on my external. All is working great. I'm looking for some advise on work flow of file/iphoto management. i.e. I'm assuming the more images I accumulate, the slower I photo is going to run? I hear you can create multiple iphoto libraries. Will that only load the photos that are associated with the library and I'm assuming optimize iphoto's performance versus always loading every photo you have taken every time you work in iphoto? If adding libraries is the way to go, can someone direct me to instruction on how to do this?
This may be beyond this threads scope but I plan to put all my data (iphoto, imovies, itunes) onto an external drive in order to keep the imac main drive as clean a possible. Is my thinking correct in doing so. Any negative repercussion in doing so?

You'll have to get quite a lot of photos into iPhoto before you start to see a real slowdown in performance. Users have reported libraries of 40K files and they perform just fine. However, do not keep all of rolls open as that will really do a job on the performance. Just open the rolls you need and close them all before quitting.
Yes, you can use multiple libraries and only load what's in each. I use iPhoto Library Manager to manage and move quickly between 10 libraries. With the paid version of iPLM you can move albums and/or rolls between libraries as needed and keep the keywords, ratings, and comments intact.
Using an external HD in order to maintain sufficient free space (10G minimum is what I recommend) on the boot drive to help optimize performance is a very good idea.
As far as any negative aspects, it would be a good idea to have a second external HD as a backup to the working external HD. You can't be too careful with those image files (and other important files) that can't be replaced.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Created "2nd" library and previous library is empty

I wanted to create a seperate library to store my Audiobooks on. I did so, then went back and selected "Previous Library" and found that it opens up the same as the new one - empty! All of my old files are still on my computer under iTunes Media Folder. However, the "Previous Library" folder and the new "Audiobook Library are empty. How can I associate these files with the "Previous Library"? Thanks in advance for the help

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss.
It sounds like, as you've been "organising" your photos in the folders, you've got rid of your pics and kept the wee thumbnails that iPhoto uses for display.
So, what did you do with your actual photos? The "fix" is to get them back from where ever you put them.

Creating a view and use the view in a model

Hi All,
I am new to OBIEE and i have a requirement that i have two fields to be added to a subject area. Since we can't add queries directly to a model, i have to create a view and then put the query in it and then use the view in that model.
I couldn't understand this much, if anybody could help me explaining in detail about the views and adding a query in it?

Please enable feature 'CREATE_VIEW_SUPPORTED' view just go to 'Features' tab and from the available option select 'CREATE_VIEW_SUPPORTED' is checked or not. If it is not checked then check the option.

My current appleID is @aol email address I used first for my iPod and iTunes but now I have iPad and iPhones and want to create an @icloud address as primary and also use it as my new appleID instead of the one I use now. Never had any @me, @mac or @icloud before, but I've read switching apple IDs may be tricky. Your advise is very welcome. Thank you.

You can't change the ID/login address on your Apple ID to your @icloud.com address if you already have one.
However you can create a new Apple ID and iCloud account using a new @icloud.com address if you follow the procedure outlined here:

You can only create an @icloud.com address: new @me.com or @mac.com addresses can no longer be created.
You would need to keep the existing ID for iTunes as purchases cannot be transferred - there's no problem about having different logins for iTunes and iCloud.

How to create new rules and using 'From' condition ?

All,
I know, rules are a quota max as 256 ko.
So, my problem is to move all mail from external writer of my directory.
I want to create a folder Inbox\external where all mail have to be move on except internal mail.
So I looked at :
[-From <RecipientIdParameter[]>] ; [-FromAddressContainsWords <MultiValuedProperty>] and [-ExceptIfFrom <RecipientIdParameter[]>] but, because of quota limitation, I could add all internal exchange recipients.
Any idea ?

If you would like to move the emails from external senders to a specific folder using Inbox rule.
I’d recommend you create a Dynamic Distribution Group and name it as
internalrecipients. Then set it as All recipients in the filter tab. Now it is a group which contains all users and contacts in your organization.
Next, set the Inbox rule in your client as below:
Click on the Inbox folder and new a Rule.
Apply the rules on messages I receive.
Send only to me.
Move to the specified folder (new a folder named external).
Except if from people or public group (internalrecipients).
Run the rule now on message already in “Inbox”
Finish.
See if it works as you expected.

I would be very leary about granting privileges to PUBLIC, particularly privileges other than SELECT, because most systems end up getting a few special-purpose accounts that shouldn't see everything.
The standard approach is
- Create a role
CREATE ROLE my_application_role;- Grant appropriate privileges to that role. This generally takes the form of a PL/SQL block initially

Creating an Intranet and using IIS 6 and recieiving a 403.14 error when trying to access remote servers share.

I can access the remote shares contents in my browser if I use file:////<server name>/share/filename.file but when I set up a link in the html code, I receive the 403.14 error in the log files. I also have directory listing set on the IIS 6 webpage
on our intranet server.
I am stuck and at a loss... I'm not terribly familiar with IIS...

Base on my experience, the UNC must use the
\\+PATH format, in some case if your code is not standard it will cause unknow error, more about the IIS question please post to the IIS forum.

sorry the error is not a problem of webcache. The main problem was oracle wallet manager not suport special characters like &
So oracle sugest use 11g wallet manager and then import on oracle wallet 10g

Can't add all my movies to iTunes library and use home share

I tried to enable home share from my computer to my ipad and iphone. I couldn't add all of my movies to the library, just a few was added although i tried to add the whole folder many times.. Is there some filetypes that iTunes doesn't work with?
