Creating an enrollment system

I don't even know if this is possible in numbers (but don't have the $500 for filemaker), but what I'm trying to do is create an automated enrollment system for some classes I teach.
I need 3 sheets:
1) List of all classes
2) Registration Form (accesses sheet 1 for pricing)
3) Class Attendance (accesses sheet 1 for class date/time and sheet 2 for name/phone/email)
The problem is that I have one registration form and need to be able to have the student information go to the right class sheet and then into a new row, not overwriting current student information.
One way I was thinking to do this would be to have the registration forms as completely separate documents and then having class attendance reference each of those.
Is there a way to get numbers to reference a separate document?
I get the feeling I just need to suck it up and get filemaker, but I thought I'd throw this one out there. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Numbers discussion. There is one distinct question in your post: "Is there a way to get numbers to reference a separate document?", and the answer to that one is no. That's just a minor problem unless you have a huge amount of data, in which case, yes, you should be looking at Filemaker.
In Numbers, the Sheet is the pivotal unit. There can be numerous Sheets per Document and there can be numerous Tables per Sheet. Also, each sheet can be divided into separately printable pages.
You could assign your three functions to separate sheets in one document.
As I see your considerations, Filemaker costs more to purchase and may cost more to implement, in training costs. Filemaker will outlast Numbers as the size of your project grows and it will also outperform Numbers in terms of features that you may wish to implement as you gain experience with the data. There's not much to lose in giving Numbers a try though.

    You can use classifications but there is no auto feature to archive like that on web apps.

    We are using NetWeaver 2004s BI and try to connect to ECC 5.0. I tried to create SAP source system but got error message saying "RFC user logon failed". When I check RFC destination in ECC 5.0 for BI, the test connection is ok, but the remote logon will pop up another logon screen asking for id and password. I am pretty sure that the id and password in RFC destination is correct. The RFC destination in BI is ok. Can you help me out with this? Thanks a lot in advance.

    Check the Default Logon <b>Client</b> for ECC 5.0
    and verifiy that the User is in the Same Client
    Each RFC destination has a mapped user for specific Client..Check the Client and User in the same client

    I have tried this thing sometime back. But when i create a JDBC system, I never give the <b>Connection Timeout</b> and change the<b> Validate Connection</b> from No to Yes. I just give the <b>Connection URL</b> and the <b>Driver Class Name</b> in the Connection Properties dropdown.
    Try making these changes and check whether the user mapping is done correctly. Also check whether the Connection URL and the Driver Class Name are correct or not. Have a look at the following link:

    which says that VC7.1 can connect to SAP backend
    and web services only, and there is no direct connection to the db.

  • Task Manager Not loading Properly. Giving Error No more threads can be created in the System.NAPStatus UI and Some other Task related Errors

    I have a problem with the Task Scheduler. It is not opening properly it is giving Error Message box at this time i am unable to post. The Tasks Scheduler is starts with a error alert "No more threads can be created in the System.NAPStatus UI".
     I am unable to view the history of the tasks schecduled.It is giving message as 
    "The user account does not have permission to Access the Task History."
    How to fix it. It is frustrating as can't able to track my Tasks and Create new Tasks. Any Suggestions helpful.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate isn't installing on my iMac. Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition

    I have a 21.5" iMac (Late 2012) running OS X Mavericks. I'm trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate via Bootcamp but whenever i get to the setup part it goes wrong
    These are the steps I followed
    I selected all the options since I didn't have the drivers or an install disk
    it copied the Windows 7 iso image, downloaded the support software, and saved the support software to the flash drive (8GB)
    I selected a partition size - I gave windows roughly 100GB
    and I let it install
    Right now I'm at the part where it says " where do you want to install windows? I selected the bootcamp partition and formatted it. It now says
    "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information"
    WHAT DO I DO?

    I had to read the apple instructions several times before they started to make sense.  I burned my iso onto a DVD and had the required USB for support software.  Are you trying to use the single USB method?

  • Boot Camp - Setup was unable to create a new system partition....from Windows install

    Hi folks.  So I ran the boot camp wizard and made a USB install key for windows from that.  I boot to it and everything works until I get to the install.  I format the Boot Camp partition as indicated in the walkthrough and then I get "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition.  See the Setup log files for more information." from the Windows installer.  What do I do?   Thanks.              

    just to add to the mix. . . i just got a new macbook retina.
    Originally used a USB flash drive. Hit the same barrier described here.
    Spent a few hours with drive unplugging / replugging silliness. No progress. Went back into OSX to attempt using an external DVD drive. There is no option for that in Bootcamp assistant now - must use USB.
    Grabbed a different USB stick and started again. This time I used the other USB port on the macbook (the one on the left). Everything worked fine this time!?
    You still have to go into "advanced options" and hit "format" when you get to the partition screen.
    Moral of the story: different stick, different port. Sounds random. If that doesn't work, try changing your socks and putting on a hat.

  • Creating a Business system in the SLD

    I am receiving an error message when trying to create a business system in the SLD. The error is "The selected client has an associated logical system nae that is already  used for another business system. Select a different client."
    Here is my issue. The business system that I am creating is for our R/3 4.6C production system. I currently have a business system for our R/3 4.6C quality system. Our prodution and quality R/3 systems do have the same logical system name and client number. This is because we recreate our qaulity R/3 system from our production system.
    So, the question is, How do I create a business system in the SLD for my production R/3 system when the logical system name is used assoicated with and business system.
    I should add that all my R/3 systems have been created as technical systems without any problems.

    It is recommended to have all ALE names unique.
    If it is not possible the following workaround can be used.
    Create one system in SLD (business system/technical system) which contains the ALE name. Proposal: The production system
    Create the other systems(dev/QA) without the ALE name
    During configuration the production system will be configured as usual.
    For Dev/QA systems: Define in the receiver agreement the header mapping and use The Receiver service to reference the production system. Because you reference the production system the ALE name of the production system will be used to fill the idoc.

    the bi-client is 700, our source-system (FI/CO) client is 101. I want to create a source-system in RSA1. at the end i get the following error message:

    Diagnosis
    In order to guarantee error-free communication between the source system and the SAP Business Information Warehouse, the logical system names must be known to both.
    The system has established that the selected source system name D01MAND101 in the SAP Business Information Warehouse is not the same as the logical system name D01MAND700.

    Processing has been terminated and all changes undone.
    Procedure
    Create the source system under the name D01MAND700 in the SAP Business Information Warehouse or change the logical system name for client 700 to D01MAND101 in the ALE customizing screen of the source system.
    Note that the logical system name for client 700 may already be being used for other ALE scenarios. If this is the case you are not able to change the name.</b>
    i don't understand this error ? is it because the BI-system and the erp-system is the SAME system ?

    &#61656;     Take notepad in it save .R/3 & BW logical names go to R/3 & click SM59 to create R/3 connections click then a screen opens gives BW logical name in RFC Destination option & give connection. type 3 & give some description & then press enter.
    &#61656;     You will get another screen under it then at target host gives BW server name we will get it from BW logon change ID, IP address option & give the system no. The system no go to logon pad just drag it then you will see the name.
    &#61656;     Then click on log on securities go to log on give BW server details like No, client user Password. Then save it then click test connection tab if there are errors then it gives yellow color if they are no error the whole thing come as white.

    selected one componenet and finished
    after this i created the jco

    checked the box
    use local j2ee engine

    selected dictionary meta data

    selected the techinical system

    user name -->sapuser

    pressed finish
    now i found the jco in green color

    Business Systems are te logical system name for a CLient in the SAP.
    These can be reused again for different configuration scnario that you must have created for different interface.
    All you need to do is assing the Business system to your configuration scenario and Communication channel to the same.
