Creating Asset Lines from Projects

Hi All,
We have transactions recorded in Projects module which need to be sent to assets module for creation of assets
However, the problem here is that they need to create many asset lines from one transaction (400-500 asset lines)
Users have been manually completing information required to create asset lines from projects module and running the program to transfer to assets module
In this case there are too many lines to create manually,
Is there any workaround to this issue?
Can the lines be transferred to assets module and then split on the prepare mass additions form? If so, can you please let me know the details, to transfer the line as a "multi-unit" line so it can be split on the mass additions form

I was thinking just that conroy, attached is a crop of the type of the black and white scan I'm working with, this was originally a trace, it is a very large document this is just one part of it.
Thanks Noel I did mess around with your suggestions, not sure I achieved what I was after, it was either too strong removing everything or too weak.
What I'm trying to do is get rid of the speckle (despeckle filter cleans it a little) and just have all the lines nicely redrawn and crisp. I've so far being doing it manually but it is 1) inaccurate and 2) taking me a very long time.

I have just had this same exception. The first project within the workspace worked fine, the second workspace had the exception. I've used this wizard several times before with success. I'm using 10.1.3.0.4 (SU5)
The "Model" project which worked has the following technology scopes:
Ant
Database
EJB
Java
TopLink
UML
The "User Interface" project which did not work has the following technology scopes:
Java
JSF
JSP and Servlets
1. Any ideas on what I can do to work around this problem?
2. How can I help you debug this issue?

Hi,
You can use DP81 and DP82 to create Quotations .
If you want to use DP81 then you need to link Sales Inquiry with Project by entering the WBS Element in Account Assignment Tab of Inquiry and also enter the DIP Profile in Sales B View.
Else you can carry sales pricing without the creation of Inquiry.Enter the DIP Profile ,Dist Channel,Division in control data tab of project and also enter Sold to party in Partner tab.

Creating Change Request from project structure

Hello.
Have somebody maked somthink like creating Change Request from Implementation project configuration structure? I want to initiate new change request directly from busines process step in transaction SOLAR02 for example.

Change request is created via action Create change document from support desk message
so in solar02 tcode...goto issues/messages tab and create a message then
crm_dno_monitor you can create a change request as i said and all the necessary data like ..system data,ibase etc is copied to ur change req from support message .

Hi,
1. In Material Master --> Purchasing View --> maintain the Tick for Scource list.
2. Create th Scheduling Agreement. (valid)
3. Maintain the Source list with the Scheduling Agreement and MRP indicator as 2.
4. MRP Control Parameters - Delivery Schedules - 3 (Schedule Lines).
After MRP Run, system will create the Sched. Lines for you..

We are doing the customer project, while do executing the projects if any man power is required, customer will send the PO, as per his PO the required Manpower we are procuring (hiring) from our vendor. From our company we are sending this manpower to customer. Here our requirement is we want create a service PO for procuring of these services.
Friends please explain the above process how we need to do through Project Systems.

use the External Processing activity and create the Service master attach this service master in the service tab of the external processing with quantity and rate. and release the activity
it will create PR based on the setting you make in the network profile.
create PO
Create service entry sheet against the PO
release the service entry sheet
pay the vendor.

Can´t create EXE-Application from project because selection is missing

Hello,
i have a LV8.2-project one my computer from which i can create a working exe-file.
Now i moved the project to another computer with LV 8.2 but when i open the project and try to create the application than this selection is not available.
When i click on "Build Specification" + "New" then there is only the selection --> "Source Distribution" but no "Application EXE" as on the other computer.
What do i have to do that i also have this selection on the other computer to create an exe-file?

Do you have the same version of LV installed on both machines?
Only LV PDS comes with included application builder. For LV base and FDS the application builder is an addon package.

Creating crisp lines from a fuzzy document CS4

I have a scanned copy of an old architectural plan of a building, it was done by hand is old and being a copy traced by crayon so you can imagine it is very fuzzy and speckled, there are clearly visible but no solid crisp lines.
It has taken me hours just to delete large areas of white space that is fuzzy/speckled.
Does anyone have any idea whether or not there is a function that can trace a line ignoring the fuzziness around it and making it crisp? I've been playing around with the magic wand tool but its not coping with it. Despeckle filter doesn't really cut it either.
Just don't want to spend hours drawing this whole plan up from scratch like tracing in Photoshop. Should I be using a Vector Graphic instead like Illustrator?
Any help appreciated.

This error message can be confusing. Error code 1 is defined by both LabVIEW and GPIB and has a different meaning based on what software component gave the error. Since you receive the error when building a source distribution, it is most likely the LabVIEW error and not the GPIB error.
First, we will need to know more about your application – what it's doing, the version of LabVIEW, the OS version, use of GPIB, use of Shared Variables, etc. This KnowledgeBase may also provide some insight into the cause of this issue.
You might want to start out building a much smaller source distribution that can reproduce the same problem. You’re welcome to post that project after you've shrunk it down as much as possible, and I can try to build it over here.

Create line from x-y graph live data

I am sweeping from -1000V to 1000V I am getting a characteristic
curve I(V), I need the slope of the middle part of my curve. I can do it on a signal
graph but not on a x-y graph. I need to do it on the x-y so I won’t loose the
voltage values.
Anyone can help me create a line from 2 specific points from a live measurement
on a x-y graph?

Maybe you could do something along the lines of my earlier example. It does a linear regression of all points on an xy graph between two cursors.

I have created asset Lines for Capital Projects .Asset Lines status is Pending.
After that I have run Interface assets to Oracle Assets . But asset lines are not yet interfaced .
Please suggest what to do ??

What relase are you using?
Is is a new instance? Are you just starting the implementation and have an initial issue or is this a working instance and you face the issue on specific project? specific transactions?
Is it a problem with all capital projects? all assets?
What is your capital project set up? Which type of cost transactions are pending?

Sales order stock from Projects

Dear Gurus,
The Scenerio is,
I am procuring materials through project. Generally it will go into project stock, If it is mentioned as a stock item. But my requirement is, the procured material has to go into salesorder stock.( Bcoz delivery of material happening in SD thrpugh sales order.) Is that possible? If yes, what are all the settings, I have to do in PS module and other modules,if required. But the cost(Planned/Actual) has to be captured against Project.

Hi,
When you are creating a PR from project , the "OPTT" customizing
1.Should have the "D" setting for "Sales Doc- Project" setting.
and in the sales order that is relevant to the project , you must have the WBS element assignment
Both the project and the Sales order should have the material ! project having it as being procured ( to take care of PR & PO generation )
and the SO having the material as being delivered ( to do the delivery and billing of the material supplied )
The Sales order should have the material production or procurement getting triggered through the item category ( and the material master's MRP Type ) and the requirement type !!
All these settings once maintained, you can have GR of material to Sales order stock !

PR from project Price - from Info Record

Dear All,
When we create a PR from project- against the network, the price needs to pick from info record. But now its picking from the MMR. How can i achieve it ? I did few changes like changing the priority in cost variant. But still its picking the price from the MMR only. Can anybody help me to resolve the issue ?

[Visio 2013] Export from Project 2013 triggers MSI repair

Hi everyone,
I have a strange issue with the installation of Visio.
I installed Project en Visio completely to run from the local hard disk. But when I create a report from Project to Visio, the MSI repair function kicks in and want to install missing components for Visio.
Because I use a shared environment, this is not possible.
Any thoughts how to solve this?

Unable to capitalize the AUC from project to Fixed Asset

Dear Experts,
I created AUC automatically from WBS and i have settled that WBS with CJ88. But when i try to capitalize it to Fixed asset via AIBU, i am unable to do it. The system throws the error message as
Line item settlement is not possible for asset MY02 36 0
Message no. AW050
Diagnosis
You want to carry out line item settlement of an asset under construction. This transaction can only be carried out for assets with active line item management.
However, line item settlement is not active in the asset class of asset 36 0 (company code MY02).
If the asset is an asset under construction belonging to an investment measure, then you should carry out the settlement using order or project settlement.
Procedure
Check the setting for 'status of AuC' in the definition of the asset class.
Currently asset class settings was investment measure in "status of AUC". I choose this because i want to create a AUC automatically from WBS. If i choose line item settlement in asset class, then i can't assign that asset class to investment profile which inturn i am unable to create AUC automatically from WBS.
Please help me sort out this issue asap.

Dear Vetri,
The reason for this error is most of the time that the field ANLA-XOPVW for this asset is not flagged. Please check this in table ANLA.
OR
In T.code OAOA check your AuC Asset Class whether your asset class is selected Line Item Settlement. If you have selected Line Item settlement after creating an asset and posting has been alsready done for the asset it won't help you.
The Line Item Settlement indicator should be active when the Asset Master is created and the postings are made to it. If this is the case, reverse the postings made to this asset - Create a New AUC - Make the postings Again - Then try AIAB.
I hope this will clear your conecpt and will help you to solve your issue.
