    Hi,
I have solved this problem from SDN by seeing below reply to some others question. Thanks Ajay.
I think this problem comes if you have used more than one client in BW (for example if you logged on to 000 and ran admin workbench initially after installation, and then if you prepared another client for use as BW client).
Look at OSS note 410952, it mentions of the same error. The fix as mentioned in the note is as follows
    Symptom
You receive the error message when trying to connect a source system to the Admininistrator Workbench:
"No entry for BW_USER in table RSADMIN exists" (message number RSAR 059).
    Additional key words
    RSAR059, APO, RSADMINA
    Cause and prerequisites
In table RSADMINA, the BW user is not maintained for ALE.
    Solution
Maintain the entry using the following path:
    Call Administrator workbench (transaction RSA1).
From the 'Settings' menu, select Global Settings'.
If an entry already exists in the field "BW user for ALE", delete this.
Enter the correct names for the BW users in this field.
    Save the entry.
You must restart the Administrator Workbench (RSA1) now.
The source system can now be linked without errors.

  • Unable to create Flat File

    Hi,
I am trying to create a flat file source system in BW.When i do that i get an error   ' No entry for BW_USER in table RSADMIN available'.ANy ideas pls?

    Hi,
Goto RSA1 -> Menu path "Setting" -> "Global Setting" -> Enter the background under "BW User ALE" field. You first have to creat a user like "ALEREMOTE" in SU01 and then assign that user here. After that try creating flat file source system.
    Hope this resolves the problem.

    Hi,
We are facing an issue while transporting from dev s/m to quality. There is no PSA for Infosource X and source system Y. Here Y is the flat file source system this issue we are getting while transporting transfer rules. We are checked in OSS notes 518426. Its not helpful.

    Hi
    Try RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL (SE38).
You may also check SAP Note 861890 - ODS tables disappear during the upgrade -
and activate all ODS Objects before the upgrade and run the program RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE.
also that with Stack 14 an extended version of this program is available together with the
Program RSUPGRCHECK. If errors occurs, consult also SAP Note 518426 and run transaction
RSSGPCLA for the regeneration of the RSDRO_* Objects.
Recheck whether you have Exported with correct parameters or not -- Try to Re Export the Same with all necessary objects .
Try Note 524554 and 325525 also
    Hope it helps and clear

  • Problem in creating DB Connect source system

    Hi All,
Iam creating a DB Connect source system to a legacy ORACLE database.
Since my legacy database is ORACLE, I have given the TNS name as the connection info.
The source system got created successfully. but the problem is, upon clicking on 'datasource overview', the system has to generate an application component hierarchy. But it is showing the same application component hierarchy which is there for flat file source system, and iam not getting the option to "select Database Tables" where i can create and edit the datasource.
    please help me out.
help would be appreciable and carry reward.

    Hi,
    Create source system first.
you have to select the option "Database system (Data and meta data using SAP DB Connect)".
Now enter the database specific information.
    DBMS:
    Username:
    Pwd:
    Conn. Info:
Conn. Info should be the TNS name if it is oracle database.
after giving the relevent information save it, and come back. Source system will be created.
Now right click on source system and select the option " select Database Tables". it will show you the list of tables or views on that database.
select the table/view on which you need to create data source, and click on "edit datasource" there you can generate datasource.
after creating the datasource, replicate it... adn proceed.
    any doubts plz ask me.

  • Is there a case for creatiing more than on flat file sourece system in BI 7

    Hello BI/BW Friends:
What are the Best practices / recommendations for the number of
flat file interfaces, Flat file source systems to be created in a BI/BW system.
I need to load 20 flat files into a BI 7.0 system.
Is there a best practice in this case?
Is there a case for more that one Flat File source systems being created to increase the speed or
parallel extraction of these flat files?
Am I creating any system contention by trying to extract all 20 of these files through the same flat file source system?
Any and all comments are appreciated.

You don't need to create several Flatfile source systems for several files uploading, One would do
You can parallelize the loads with one file source , For performance point of view it's the same even you create several file sources or with one, the only thing you will have to concern is to fine tune the routines if any , load MD and then TD
If you have several file sources, You may get confusion and has to maintain them across the landscape.
Best practice would be upload all the files in application server and automate the loads thru process chains.

  • Create source structure -Need to create flat file or table?

    Hi All,
Can any one let me know what needs to be created?? it should be flat file or a table on the data base?
I am going to reecive flat files from the source system??
If it is a flat file then is there any way to create flat file structure in the DS using SQL query statements?
    Thanks
    Rajeev

you can create table same as file structure and use the table instead, but how are you going to populate the table with the data from flat file ? you will need some application to do that, you can do this is DS by creating a file format and using the source file as input for that file format and create a template table as target for the database datastore to wihch you want to load data from this source file, and use that table as source in other dataflows
you can also create the table with the same structure in the database and import that in Datastore and use that as target for the source file

  • Create Mapping As a Flat File Source

    Hi,
I'm new to OWB, my first project is to load data through flat file to oracle.
    step i follow is,
    =>Create Flat File Module
    =>Create Location Directory
    =>Create Flat File
=>Create External Table (Synch with my Flat File)
=>Create Mapping (Simple External Table mapped to table operator)
    =>Create and bind table Operator
Mapping successfully deployed and but when i want to run it gives me following Error
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout
    ORA-29400: data cartridge error
    KUP-04040: file IPDirectory.txt in FLAT_FILE_MOD_LOC_0 not found
When I directly mapped flat file to Table in mapping it gives another error
RPE-01013: SQL Loader reported error condition, number 4.
SQL*Loader-522: lfiopn failed for file (\\sfs\Analytics\Reference\SIMPLE_MAP.log)
I mention here that im working on my pc with OWB Client not on server and want to load data through flat file which is on my pc or on our sharing drive.
Please help me on this issue
    Regards

    Hi,
OWB generates SQL * Loader code for Flat File operator, if you try to change the configuration parameter to PL/SQL it results in error.
External tables would be a better choice as it reduces the processing time, disk space required and also makes it possible to use SQL and other complex transformations.

  • [Flat File Source [2]] Error: Cannot open the datafile "VendorPurchases20050512.txt".

    hi
I'm trying to use foreachloop container in order to read the data that i have in several txt files and upload it into MRR table.
when i'm trying to run the package, i'm getting the following error:
[Flat File Source [2]] Warning: The system cannot find the file specified.
[Flat File Source [2]] Error: Cannot open the datafile "VendorPurchases20050512.txt".
[SSIS.Pipeline] Error: Flat File Source failed the pre-execute phase and returned error code 0xC020200E.
I don't know what's the problem since it was working before. In the flat file connection manager i defined all the path including the name of the file.
    I'll be happy for assistance
    thanks
    Yaron

    Hi Yaron,
Does the file stored in local file system or a share folder on remote server? If you can load data from a file in local computer, but cannot load data from a file in a remote computer, the issue may be caused by the Kerberos authentication. In this condition,
    check the following points:
    Enable SQL Server for Kerberos
Check delegation settings for SQL Server service account and Computer
Add Host SPNs for FileShare Server and SQL Server

    Thanx for replay,
In machineA ODI 11g is installed.
source and target are on machineB.
In Physical Architecture i am able to map source(Oracle) machineB using IP,
but for file, i am not able to map with target machineB, to generated flat file.
