Creating software update group for required updates ?

Hello,
I've been trying to find an easy way to create a software update group that contains required security updates for a specific device collection but no solution yet. It is easy to get which security updates are required for that collection via SQL query or
by using built-in report in sccm2012. The problem is, there is no way to easily create a update group to deploy from those lists. You have to add them one by one and that takes so much time. So i would be glad if someone have an answer for me?

Thanks for your quick response. I have hundreds of required updates in the software update section. So you say deploy all of them to that collection even most of are not required for those devices. At this point it seems unreasonable to deploy so much
unnecessary file which will increase the burden on network and devices while it also increases the risk of failures. On the other hand it is also very time consuming to add approx. 50 update one by one to update group.

AnyConnect hangs when checking for required updates

Several of our customers require us to use Cisco AnyConnect to connect to their computers. I cannot connect to any of them because AnyConnect hangs when checking for required updates. If I start AnyConnect myself, it will eventually (after five minutes) tell me that it cannot connect to a server. If it is started from a web page, AnyConnect hangs forever.
In the past, this error has been random. If I try later, or the next day, it may work. Or it may not.
No customer has been able to give us any support on this issue.
Could you please give me some ideas on how to overcome this problem?

Disable anti virus software if installed
Make sure the firewall is turned off in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall
Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected. If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

If you start SU21, find the authorization object and double click on it you should be able to see who the author is.
Or you can findout through SUIM

How to create distribution rules group for wbs settlement rules

How can I create distribution rules group for WBS element settlement rules ?
For some WBS elements I can see(in view mode(cj03)) distribution groups in settlement rules screen but when I try to edit settlement rules I only see default group.
How can i create/edit those groups ?

Auth Group is nothing but a table entry so for sure it can be transported to any environment, before Assigning any Auth group create one in SE54 when you try saving it it would ask you the TR number which you can transport to PROD.

It all depends if the data source was originally co-located on the same replica shared with other data sources. If not then DPM will simple re-use the same replica and pick up where it left off. If it was co-located, then the old replica and RP
volume is shared and the RP's will expire as new ones are made on the new replica and RP volume created when it's re-protected.

Pismo w/panther needs to create bootable OS9 partition for firmware update

Hi guys -
I have the original software install and software restore cds that came with my pismo, and I'm sure there must be a way to install OS9 onto a partition on my pismo from there without erasing any of the data or OSX10.3 on the other partition. Years ago when the original hard drive died, I simply bought and installed Panther and didn't install os9 anywhere.
Now I've picked up a MBP and am unable to complete the Migration Assistant data transfer from the pismo to the mbp using FW (it recognizes the info on the pismo, but stalls during transfer at 8.1 hours to go!) because (it seems) I never installed the 4.1.8 firmware update on the pismo when the update came out. The update requires a boot from a local Mac OS 9.1 writeable partition.
So, essentially, I'm looking to install os9 off of one of the original powerbook install/restore cds onto an empty partition I've prepared on the pismo so I can update the firmware and then complete the migration to the mbp.
1. Is there a way to check the pismo's current firmware (in case I've already installed it years ago and forgot?)
2. Is there a simpler way to get OS9 onto the pismo?
3. Is there a simpler way to migrate my data to the MBP? (Other than pick up a 2.5" FW enclosure, remove the hd from the pismo and do it from there?)
4. If no, to the above questions, How do I do this?

I just checked and my pismo is also running Boot ROM Version: 3.2.4f1
However, my concern isn't how well or whether it can run Tiger - it's the machine's ability to run in Firewire Target Disk Mode. And the update in question is intended to address the pismo's shortcomings there (it's mentioned in the ReadMe file that comes with the update). It's in the apple document for troubleshooting Migration Assistant that I discovered the existence of this update. The process for me freezes...

Nice to hear that Tiger runs well on the pismo though, I'll bear it in mind for the future.
Here's what I've done since posting my initial question:
I inserted the Software Restore CD and copied over all the files from it onto my partition. System Preferences<Startup Disk recognized an OS9 system file on the partition, and I selected it as my startup disk. Unfortunately, on restart I got the question mark flashing over the folder, and the pismo booted up from the Software Restore CD still in the drive. The CD did not identify my HD as viable to be restored to, something like there was nothing to restore and I must install software instead.
I am very wary of doing an install because I doubt the partition will be detected and of course the Install CD will erase the contents of my hard drive during the install. I'm tempted to pick up a cheap hd and install OS9 on that for the update, but there must be a way to get it onto the partition without wiping everything out!
Any additional help would be appreciated!

I might be interpreting this incorrectly, but it seems as though a machine is not installing any updates from a particular update group.
One or more of the updates are expired - Would this result in NONE of those updates deploying to the device??

SCCM 2012: Windows update group gives invalid update

Hi,
I have deployed an update group to some pc's (about 60 updates). Now it seems one of the updates got stuck on the client: the client tries to download it to install but it's not on the server.
The server shows the update as invalid.
Tried to download it again, it does do it but it does NOT show as downloaded. The update
kb2687413 is perfectly valid.
Removed it from the update group but the client still tries to fetch this update (even after reboot).
My questions:
*how can I find out what's wrong with this update: why it was invalid (I do know the meaning of the icons: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh848254.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396), why I can't download it or the status doesn't change whereas
it downloaded succesfully.
*how do I make sure the clients continue to install the remaning updates and don't try to fetch the (removed) update

Cannot create to distribution group for a tenant on hosted exchange 2010

I have installed a hosting exchange 2010 than created a tenant1 and users in this tenant1.
I would like to create a distribution group named "dist group1" for tenant1 for exp: [email protected]

In order to narrow down the cause, I’d like to recommend you can try the following troubledhooting:
1. Check if the distribution group exists in ADUC on your DC server. And you can refer to the following path:
DC>ADUC>Domain.com>users
2. Create another distribution group to have a test.

You settings and such are in a separate place and not in the Firefox program folder as has been the case since the browser was known as Phoenix 0.1
Your settings like Bookmarks, history and such are in a Profile. If you uninstall Firefox and then install same or another version you will find that your settings are still there since it will use the last Profile used unless selected otherwise upon Firefox start.

i'm trying to create DiscountGroups for Type Customer Group in developtmnt side in sap b1. i already succed to create Discount Group for Type Specific BP as you can see in the code i wroe below:

but i don't succed to find the di object that give me the option to create DiscountGroup for Customer Group ( not for specific BP).

Windows Update prompt for definition updates

I have a FEP 2010 client that is prompting the end user with a Windows Update dialog when definition updates are available. I checked his WU settings and he is currently set to download update, but let him choose when to install. I thought this
was the issue, but a Win 7 computer has the same settings and doesn't prompt for the definition updates. I have approximately 500 FEP clients installed and this is the only case where the end user is being prompted for definition updates.

This is old post and successor of FEP is System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP), I suggest try reproduce this issue in SCEP and check if it exist or not and if it exist, then post it as a new question.
You may also configure Endpoints to use directly update their Endpoint Protection and disable updating through Microsoft Update and see if that solve the problem.

We currently have auto-enrolment rights for an Exchange User cert granted to Domain Users. In our environment this is generating more than 50,000 failed requests each week by service accounts which don't have an email address.
I would like to create a security group of users with an email address, and grant enrolment rights on the CA to that group.
I have tried the following script to create such a group, however it's way too slow to be of any use (ours is a large enterprise):

Although this group is going to be used for certificate enrollment this
really isn't the right forum for your question. You should repost to either
